Lorelai and Leigh drove to Chilton. Stoping outside of the grave old building as Leigh started to panic.

"Are you nervous?" asked surprised Lorelai

"Well yhea, It's a new school."

"I get that, but it's not any different than that in Boston. I mean you are used to the whole private school thing. Are you worried about making friends?

"Maybe, I don't know. I am not really sure. I have friends. It's just, I don't want suck-ups all over me."

"Don't worry honey, I'll be back at three to pick you up. Have a good day and don't worry about anything."

Leigh had been told to go to the principal's office on arrival. She found it easily enough. The secretary told her to wait, that Headmaster Charleston was with somebody.

"He is with one of his regulars at the moment, it should only take a minute." She said her thanked and sat down. Not a minute or two had passed when the Headmaster's door opened.

"And Mr. DuGrey?"

"Yes Sir."

"Come up with a better excuse next time."

Leigh could practically hear the smirk in the boy's voice as he replied

"There won't be a next time Sir"

"I highly doubt that Mr. DuGrey."

The boy who Leigh could now see, grinned. He was not bad-looking. Blond tussled heir, beautiful baby blue eyes, and a thin but athletic body. He looked at

her and smiled a killer smile. She was positive she had just seen the king of Chilton. The arrogance of his walk alone told her that he was the hottest and most popular guy in school and that he knew it.

Leigh's meeting with the Headmaster lasted about 20 minutes, giving her just enough time to find her locker and get rid of some of the fire hundred books she was carrying. Her locker was along the top corridor, number 127. Just to open the locker a male voice asked

"Need help?"

"No, I think I can manage by myself."

"Are you sure? I can show you a trick"

"Let me guess. You will dial the code, spin it to the end, push it back, and put in the combination." As she was speaking she was doing it and sure enough, the door swung open.

"How did you know that."

"How did you?" she asked with raised eyebrows. The guy smirked and leaned in closely.

"So Mary. Do you need help with something ease" he asks suggestively.

"My name isn't Mary"

"But you look like Mary. Sweet and innocent." At that one Leigh busted out laughing. When she could calm herself she looked at him.

"Oh sorry, you were serious. I don't know how you got the idea from me picking up a lock, but ok? She started to walk away

"Oh by the way. My name is Rory"

As she walked away she tried to decide whether she liked him or hated him. But she was right he was the King of Chilton

--

She had Chemistry so she made it to the classroom and sat in the only available seat, besides three girls, two blondes and a brunette.

"Hi, who are you? Asked first the blond.

"Hey, I'm Rory Gilmore."

"I'm Louise, this is Madeline and the blonde is Paris."

"Where are you been before?" at this one she wasn't sure if she wanted to tell the truth or lie. In the end, she decided to tell part of it.

"I was at Malvern College Switzerland "

"No way. WOW, Malvern College. I would kill to live there." Madeline chipped in.

"Well, it was fun before I was expelled."

"They expelled you." stated more than asked Louise. Paris thought it was enough and injected.

"What kind of grades did you get?" asked all business.

"Straight A's"

"And what's the situation on the guy front." Louise asked.

"There is no guy front. I never want another boyfriend as long as I live."

"That's no good Mary" , the now distinct voice of Tristan came from behind. Leigh just rolled her eyes at Tristan's comment. Louise started to laugh, as a pair of tanned muscled arms wrapped around her shoulder. This time it was Paris's turn to roll her eyes. Madeline turned to Leigh.

"Tristan has labeled you Mary?"

"Looks like"

"That means he likes you," said the guy holding Louise "I'm Nath by the way. This is Austin and that's Liam. Apparently, you know Tristan."

"Actually, no but good luck with the liking." she said looking at him. Tristan smirked and leaned in to say something to Leigh, but the bell however as he was about to speak. It rang and the teacher came in. The boys immediately got into their seats behind the girls with Tristan still smirking.
