Chapter 8
The next day, Wilhelm, Sonny and Danny were at the hospital. No visitors had been allowed yesterday; Sandy had had to have a minor operation done to seal up that injury.
"Looking for Sandy Olsson, please. I'm Danny Zuko. These are Wilhelm Schwartz and Martin LaTierri."
"Miss Olsson is all patched up in 204," said the receptionist.
"Danke," said Wilhelm.
"Donkey shit?" Danny jokes as they headed to the room.
Wilhelm scoffed. "Shut up," he said playfully.
When they got there, Sandy's parents were just leaving.
"Alright there, Danny?" her father asked.
"Yes sir."
"Can't ya call me Jack?" He said with a chuckle.
"Sure thing Jack. This is my friend Martin. They call him Sonny; he's the guy who found her."
"You saved our daughter!" Her mother cried, giving Sonny a tight hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
The three went into the room, and Sandy smiled. "Danny," she said softly. "Don't apologize… it's alright. We're fine."
"Hey Sandy," said Sonny gently. "You okay?"
Sandy smiled as she took his hand, nodding.
"You're… you're Sonny?"
He nodded. "Yeah." He kissed her hand gently, causing her to blush.
"You're sweet," she said.
"Danny's lucky."
Sandy sighed softly, smiling. "I just wish I wasn't going back to Australia when summer ends."
"If Danny has half a brain… he'll wait for you."
Sandy giggled. "He does," she replied.
"Who did this to you, anyway?" Wilhelm asked.
"I'll tell you what I told the police when they came this morning. I know it was a girl. Tall and skinny with dark brown hair, but I couldn't make out her face." She narrowed her eyes. "I'm thankful to be alive. You must be Wilhelm."
"Ja," he said. "We need to find this girl."
"We will," said Danny firmly. "No one hurts Sandy and gets away with it!"
They left and headed to Frosty's to plan their next move.
