WELCOME TO AURADON PREP. HOME OF THE AURADON FIGHTING KNIGHTS... HOW CUTE-YEAH, SO I THINK I'M OFFICIALLY GOING TO BE SICK.

Ben and Ian were waiting anxiously outside in the courtyard in front of the school with everyone, waiting for the kids to arrive from the Isle. Fairy Godmother talked to them about how they might be able to make this work. They both really hoped they had made the right decision about this proclamation. Ben's worried thoughts were interrupted by his girlfriend- and Ian's younger sister-, Audrey, walking up beside him, grabbing his hand with slight force. Ben didn't like how clingy she has been lately, especially so close to his coronation.

"I still do not understand why you two could allow these horrible people into our kingdom. Can't you see that you're putting us all in danger?" Audrey asked with panic in her voice.

"Audrey, calm down. They haven't done anything to anyone. They deserve to live a normal life like the rest of us here do." Ben tried to assure his girlfriend.

"How can you say that they deserve this? They are evil! The only thing that they deserve is to stay on that island forever."

"Audrey. All these things happened more than 20 years ago. Before any of us were even born. Do you really think that all of those children living on the Isle deserve to be punished for something that their parents did years before they were even conceived?" Ian asked his sister.

"Absolutely! That way they can't harm us."

"They're kids, Audrey! They're our age!"

"That doesn't mean they can't be evil! I mean, you invited Maleficent's daughter to come here. Have you forgotten she cursed our mother?" Audrey exclaimed.

"No, Audrey. I didn't forget that Maleficent cursed our mother. And I also didn't forget that her daughter had nothing to do with it. Therefore, Maleficent should be the one that's punished, not her daughter." Ian said as he looked away.

Everyone notices the limo pulling in and the anticipation grew. The prince's anxiety and excitement rose slightly as they saw the limo approach.

They had no clue how all these kids are going to adjust to being here, so they're trying to make them as comfortable as possible. Though, the little welcome party Ben decided to let his girlfriend put together might have been a little much, considering they obviously don't get this kind of reception and attention where they are from.

The limo cruised through the sprawling green campus and came to a stop. An impressive building with a flower garden that was Auradon Prep loomed before them. A group of curious students in blue-and-gold uniforms waited outside the limo, waving welcome flags. Ben made a signal, and a marching band started to play with great gusto. The limo parked in front of the crowd of students, and the driver opened the limo door once it came to a complete stop. Jay and Carlos tumbled out. They were about as undignified as it got. Jay was yanking at a scarf that Carlos was clutching as Mal and Evie stepped out of the limo.

"Oh! Ah! Ow! Stop! You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?" Carlos shouted on the ground as the final girl stepped out of the limo. Many of the Auradon kids looked at her in shock, fearing the daughter of Hades almost instantly. As soon as she stepped out, Harlow could hear the shocked gasps and whispers from the students about her.

Already starting rumors. She thought.

"'Cause you want it!" said Jay, wrestling Carlos to the ground and pinning him there with his foot. In their squabble, they didn't notice the group of students watching them. The students backed away at the sight of them fighting, and the band dribbled to a wheezing stop.

"No! Give it to me! Ow! Let go!" Carlos yelled.

A smiling woman stepped through a clump of students with her arms outstretched as if she were about to hug someone. She had brown hair pulled back in a loose bun, pearl earrings, and a lavender dress with a pink bow at the neck.

Mal noticed the woman and alerted her friends. "Guys, guys, guys," Mal said from the side of her mouth. "We have an audience." Then she put on a fake smile and struck a fetching pose. Evie quickly followed suit, resting her hands on her hips.

Jay smiled and told his audience, "Just cleaning up. Get up." He helped Carlos to his feet.

The woman addressed Jay. "Leave it like you found it!" She grinned. "And by that, I mean just leave it." She gave Jay a pointed look. Jay reluctantly tossed all his loot back into the limo. The woman smiled and nodded.

Then Jay noticed a pretty student with caramel-colored skin and chocolate-brown hair. She wore a blue sweater, a pink dress, and a gleaming gold necklace. He sauntered up to her with a smile and said with confidence as he walked up, "Hello, foxy. The name's Jay." She chuckled awkwardly, then stopped.

The woman leaned in between Jay and the student before Ian could do something to him for flirting with his little sister. "Welcome to Auradon Prep," she said. Jay's smile faded as he went back in line with his friends. "I'm Fairy Godmother. Headmistress." She bowed elegantly.

"The Fairy Godmother?" asked Mal. Fairy Godmother nodded.

"As in 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo'?" asked Harlow, pretending to wave a wand.

"Bibbidi-bobbidi. You know it." said Fairy Godmother.

Mal gave her a forced good-girl smile. "Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just...appeared out of nowhere! With that sparkling wand and warm smile..."

"Oh."

"...and that sparkling wand." Mal flashed a big cheesy smile. Carlos licked chocolate off his fingers as she spoke.

Way to be subtle. Harlow thought to herself.

"That was a long time ago," said Fairy Godmother. "And as I always say, don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future!" She smiled. "Wherever you wind up!"

"It's so good to finally meet you all," said a handsome young man as he stepped forward and clasped his hands. He wore a navy suit jacket that sported the Auradon Prep crest, a hankie in the breast pocket, and a pastel plaid tie. "I'm Ben."

"Prince Benjamin," the girl beside him corrected almost immediately, feeling the need to bring out the title. "Soon to be king!" she squealed.

"I hope you all enjoy your time here. I'm Ian." He said, stepping forward slightly. He noticed how Harlow kept having to squint her eyes in the sun, and tossed her a pair of sunglasses, to which she nodded as a silent and subtle 'thanks'.

"Prince Adrian. My big brother, soon to be Advisor and future King of Auroria." Audrey piped up again.

"You had me at 'prince,'" Evie said as she stepped forward and stared into Ben's eyes. "My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess." She started to bow.

"The Evil Queen has no royal status here," said the girl, "and neither do you."

Harlow, not appreciating someone belittling one of her friends, decided to speak up. She would teach this so-called "princess" a thing or two about how to talk to them. She wasn't going to just stand there and let this girl thing she was better than everyone else because of the fact that she just happens to have a title in front of her name.

"You do realize that you literally just referred to her as Evil Queen, right? When I last checked, Evil Queen and Snow White's father never got a divorce. He passed away, so they were still technically married when she was sent to the Isle. Her title as Queen was never revoked. So her mother is a queen, and my friend Evie is a princess. Or, wouldn't she at least have some sort of title? Now would you mind living up to yours and actually treat us like humans and not like we're aliens or something? Aren't you supposed to be a professional or something?"

"She would be correct. Despite being sent to the Isle, her mother was stripped of her Queen title. Or she might have a Lady or a Duchess title." Ian said. Audrey was appalled at the fact that her brother, a future king, was siding with these villains.

"And you are...?" Audrey asked, Harlow playing dumb.

"Oh, I hope you can forgive me." Harlow said in a fake voice, moving the sunglasses up for effect. "The name's Princess Harlow. Daughter of Hades. You know...Lord of the Dead, Ruler/God of the Underworld, Supreme Nether Underlord. Go ahead. Pick the title you'd prefer to say."

Ben gave the girl a look that said "cool it." "This is Audrey..." he said.

"Princess Audrey," said Audrey, taking Ben's hand. "His girlfriend. Right, Bennyboo?" She flashed a smile at Ben and tucked her chin. Ben let out a short laugh as she forcibly grabbed his hand again.

"Last time I checked, princesses didn't talk to people the way you did to my friend." Harlow said as she glared at Audrey.

"Ben, Ian, and Audrey are going to show you all around," Fairy Godmother told Mal and her friends, "and I'll see you all tomorrow. 'The doors of wisdom are never shut!'" She said, making an extravagant hand motion, separating Ben and Audrey.

"But the library hours are from eight to eleven, and as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews." She smiled, turned away from Mal and her friends, and walked toward a building, with the marching band following in her footsteps.

Ben smiled and approached Mal and her friends. "It is so, so, so good to finally me... meet you all." Jay punched him playfully. "This is a momentous occasion," Ben said as he shook Harlow's hand, looking into her eyes longer than he probably should have. He shook hands with Mal, Carlos, and Evie, looking into Harlow's eyes with a great searing intensity throughout. Ian repeated the process, seeming to stare into Mal's eyes.

"And one I hope will go down in history... Is that chocolate?" He said, shaking Carlos's hand.

"As the day our two peoples began to heal." Ian continued as Evie held Ben's hand for too long. Audrey pulled Ben away.

Mal, imitating Ben's tone, said, "Or the day that you showed five peoples where the bathrooms are." Her friends laughed as Ben and Ian walked back over to her and Harlow.

"A little bit over the top?" Ben asked, grinning.

"A little more than a little bit." Harlow answered, chuckling.

"Well, so much for our first impression," said Ben. He laughed. Harlow laughed, too. She stared at him for a moment, before looking away.

"Well, at least someone else other than me thinks it. You really do need to listen to me a little more." Ian said, the smirk that was on his face increasing. They all heard him and laughed, Mal probably the most.

Audrey glared at Mal through a smile. "Hey! You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you?" Then she said in a disingenuous voice, "Yeah, you know what? My brother and I totally don't blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. Oh, our mom's Aurora. Sleeping-"

"Beauty. Yeah, I've heard the name," said Mal, cutting her off. "You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world except for my mother to their stupid christening."

Audrey blasted a fake smile. "Water under the bridge!"

"Totes!" said Mal, putting on an even bigger fake smile. Both girls fake laughed and let the laughter fizzle out in unison, not really liking one another. Ian approached them all slowly to have some introductions.

"I don't believe I was able to really catch your names." He said, approaching Jay, even though he technically already introduced himself earlier.

"I'm Jay." He refrained from punching like he did with Ben and actually shook his hand.

"Jafar's son?"

"The one and only." He confirmed.

"Do you always punch people like that when you greet them?"

"Sometimes."

"Maybe I should start doing that with some people." Ian said, looking at Ben. He went along and proceeded to shake Mal's hand.

"Mal, Maleficent's daughter." She said blandly, actually staring into his eyes like Ben had with Harlow.

"Ah, the Princess of Evil graces us all with her presence." She smirked and Ian went on to Evie.

"Evie. Evil Queen's daughter."

"Always an honor to meet a fellow royal." Ian said, also giving a slight bow even though he technically didn't have to. She did one back, smiling before he moved on to Carlos.

"Carlos." He shook his hand anxiously, still having some chocolate on them. Ian couldn't blame him, though. The first time he ate chocolate, he got it all over him. It was obvious that he was Cruella's son with the fur.

"So that would just leave Hades's daughter." He said, shaking her hand.

"Harlow." She said, gripping his hand firmly.

Ben clapped his hands together. "Okay! So how about a tour? Yeah?" he said happily. He headed toward the garden, sharing facts about the school and its history.

"Auradon prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king." The teens looked up into the face of a fearsome statue that resembled Ben's father in Beast form. Ben clapped and it came to life and growled. Carlos squealed and jumped into Jay's arms. Ben, noticing Carlos's fear, gave a quick double clap. The statue magically transformed into the Beast as a young prince. Carlos relaxed a little.

"Carlos, It's okay. My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible." Ben assured him as he chuckled.

"Does he shed much?" Harlow asked, trying to joke about it.

"Yeah, Mom/Belle won't let him on the couch." Ben and Ian said together with straight faces and a serious tone of voice, but the little smirks they showed after told the girls that they had been joking. Harlow and Ben exchanged looks. Harlow gave a small smile and he smiled back.

Ben continued his tour. Jay put Carlos down. Carlos clapped to get the statue to come alive again. Nothing happened.

"I've got you, little brother." Harlow said, putting her arm around him. Carlos relaxed a little and leaned into her touch, because she was one of the only people he felt safe around before they rejoined the group.

Inside the building, there was a fireplace, dark wood staircases, chandeliers, and stained glass windows that made the place feel warm and sunny.

"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon?" Harlow asked as they walked into the building. "Like wands and things like that?"

"Yeah, it exists of course, but It's pretty much retired." Ben said as they stopped walking. "Most of us here are just ordinary mortals. Though Ian does possess some magic capabilities."

"Really?" Mal asked, actually seeming interested. Harlow caught Jay attempting to swipe something off of a table, receiving a smack to the shoulder from the goddess.

"It's true. If any of our friends got hurt, they'd go to me and I'd magically be able to heal them."

"Even if they had a badly broken bone, or something like that?" Harlow asked.

"Not completely. I can only go so far."

"The rest of you, though, are mortals who happen to be kings and queens." Mal added with a sassy tone, though she wasn't wrong.

"That's true!" said Audrey snootily, once again bragging as she forcibly draped Ben's arm over her shoulder. "Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." She looked at Ben possessively.

"How impressive," Harlow said sarcastically. "Considering the fact that my goddess blood goes back, what? Millions of years? And is still going on?"

The smile on Audrey's face instantly disappeared when she had been one-upped and the others in the group silently chuckled. Ian tried so hard to keep a straight face, because even though she was his sister, Audrey needed to be given a reality check at times.

Ben took his arm off her. "Doug!" he said when he noticed a nerdy boy with thick glasses heading down the stairs. The boy was wearing a blue-and-gold marching band uniform and carried a clipboard. "Doug! Doug, come down!" Ben clapped a hand on Doug's shoulder. "This is Doug," he announced. "He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms." He looked right at Harlow. "I'll see you later, okay? And if you need anything at all, feel free to-"

"Ask Doug," blurted out Audrey. She fake laughed and dragged Ben away while he was still staring at Harlow.

"Or one of us. You're more than welcome to come up to me or Ben and just ask a simple question or talk about something if you need to." Ian said, dismissing Audrey. The prince rolled his eyes and the VKs chuckled at his behavior when Audrey's back was turned.

"Hi, guys," said Doug. "I'm Dopey's son? As in"-he started counting on his fingers-"Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..." Evie caught Doug's eye. "Heigh-ho," he said to her, completely charmed, slowing down as he looked up at Evie, his breath shaking as he spoke.

Evie went nose to nose with him. "Evie. Evil Queen's daughter." She said as she stepped toward him, starting to twirl her hair flirtatiously.

"Okay. So, about your classes," said Doug. "I put in the requirements already. History of Woodsmen and Pirates, Safety Rules for the Internet, and"-he cleared his throat-"Remedial Goodness 101." He listed as Mal looked over his shoulder.

"Let me guess..." said Mal. She popped a piece of candy into her mouth. "New class?" Doug nodded sheepishly. "Your idea?" She asked Ian.

"No. I had actually tried to get them to not establish that class. They're acting like a few weeks in that class are gonna erase 16/17 years of being raised around evil. I know that's not gonna happen easily."

"So you really don't care that my mother is Maleficent?"

"The Mistress of Evil?" Evie asked.

"The one that cursed your mother?" Jay continued.

"And put her into a comatose state?" Harlow asked.

"The worst villain in the land?" Carlos asked.

"No, I don't care about that. Because it was her that did all that. Not you. I'm the one that actually recommended to Ben that you come to Auradon." Ian answered truthfully. The VKs nodded, accepting that answer.

"Come on, guys," Mal said, dropping the wrapper on the floor. "Let's go find our dorms." She started up a flight of stairs. Carlos, Jay, Harlow, and Evie followed her. Doug called out to the five

"Oh! Uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys," said Doug, pointing in the opposite direction. As Mal and her friends came back down the stairs and headed in the direction he indicated, Doug hung back, counting through the dwarves again. "Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and..."

"Sneezy," said Carlos and Harlow, passing him and ascending the opposite staircase. Doug sighed and looked at the ceiling.

Mal, Harlow, and Evie opened the door to their dorm room. It was light and airy and dappled in sunlight. The white canopy beds were covered with pink pillows, and flowery curtains fluttered gently in the fresh breeze from the open windows. Evie's eyes widened with delight as Mal's narrowed in horror. Harlow had to squint her eyes from how bright it was.

"Wow," said Evie. "This place is so amazing-"

"Gross," said Mal.

"I know, right?" said Evie, changing her tune. "Amazingly gross. Ew!" When Mal wasn't looking, Evie couldn't help giving a silent gasp of joy at her new crib.

"I am going to need some serious sunscreen when I come in here," said Harlow, arms crossed.

"Yeah," said Evie.

"E, H," said Mal, pointing to the windows. She closed the curtains as Evie and Harlow moved to other windows in the room and did the same, plunging the dorm into darkness.

"Whoa!" said Mal.

"That is much better." Harlow said, sitting on one of the beds.
