Chapter 8

As Benny and Dean walked back to his camp Benny's curiosity got the better of him so he finally had to ask.

"Why are you here Dean? I know last time you were looking for a Leviathan blossom. But why are you here now."

"Wait, you were alive then?" Dean asked.

Benny just nodded his head yes.

Dean looked away in thought again. When he came back to himself, he said.

"Cas wants to know if it was you that took out his captors and left the blossom and knife for him."

Benny smiled and spoke.

"Nothing escapes your Angel, does it?"

Dean grinned.

"Cas says stop being an AssButt!"

"Ok Dean" Benny said. "What are you here for this time. I will help you get it, and you can leave." He finished.

Dean looked Benny in the eye.

"YOU."

Benny was shaking his head no, but Dean went on talking.

"Liz wants you back there. She has a good set up waiting for you. Thanks to Hunters who know how you helped me get out of this place she was able to buy the diner and the old Lafitte plantation."

Dean paused thinking about what he could tell Benny without giving everything away.

"Benny, for a free meal all a Hunter has to do is donate a pint of blood. And I have seen the blood bank it is overflowing. And if a vamp wants to try it your way, she gives out the blood and gets them work or they can work on the plantation until they are comfortable in their new life. Benny she is doing so much good, but she needs YOUR help."

"Lizbeth is doing all that?" Benny was shaking his head in disbelief. "Just so I can try to make it topside?"

"Yes Benny. Her exact words to me were 'Don't come back without him or I will go in there and drag him out myself.' Dean quoted with a smile.

"Look, if you still decide topside is not for you, I will come back to Carencro and send you back here myself."

Suddenly Deans eyes flashed bright white/blue and it was Castiel's voice he heard.

"No, he will not. It will be me who sends you back. I will not let Dean send you back a second time. The first time nearly broke him."

Benny stared into what were now the Angels eyes.

"Awe does that mean we are friends now?"

Cas grunted, Deans eyes flashed, and he was back.

"Damnit Cas cut that shit out." a pause. "Yea, yea your sorry!"

"Well, what do you say. Are you coming home or what?"

Benny watched Dean as he was thinking about returning.

"Yes, Cas I know time is short."

"Cas, please I am trying to talk to Benny."

"I am trying to keep a look out for monsters, and I can't do that while you are distracting me."

"What, ok YOU watch for monsters, or whatever just do it quietly."

"Awe come on Cas don't be mad."

Benny was laughing hard by the time Dean looked back at him.

"What?" Dean asked.

Benny was laughing so hard Dean thought he had to be hurting.

When Benny calmed enough, he said with tears of laughter in his eyes.

"You two sound like an old married couple."

"Yea, laugh it up Benny." Dean groused.

After a moment or two Dean asked.

"So, what will it be. Home or this place."

Benny smiled.

"Home, but on one condition."

"And that would be?" Dean asked.

"You and Angel boy come visit so I can laugh some more."

"Done." Dean agreed.

"CAS!" Dean barked out.

"What?" Benny asked.

"Cas said that was Blackmail." Dean said.

"Ok, come on before you two kill each other." Benny chuckled out.

Dean winced.

"What?" Benny asked.

Dean rolled his eyes and spoke.

"I think, he called you something unkind in Enochian.

"No Doubt." Benny said as he started walking in the direction of the rift.
