Ok everyone! This is it! The moment we've all been waiting for! All their waiting is about to pay off and Adrien explores the latch in his father's office. We know what's down there but he doesn't. How do you think Adrien will feel about what he learns? What will he find? You'll have to read on and find out.

Playing the waiting game was hard. Every time Adrien saw Marinette, he wanted to call out and hug her, but had to stop himself. Abd she felt the same.

The other worse part was not telling Alya and Nino about the whole thing. But the less people who knew it was fake, the better.

There were a few close calls though. During akuma attacks, Lila or Chloe would see Marinette or Adrien run in the opposite direction than the others and follow them, thinking they were running off to see each other. Luckily, the two heroes would be able to see they were being followed and blend into the crowd before finding a place to transform.

The girls were easily fooled.

At the Agreste house, Adrien was on constant supervision, as was expected. The only time he was ever truly alone was in the privacy of his bedroom with Plagg.

It wasn't until many weeks later all the waiting paid off when he had the opportunity to discover the hatch in his father's office.

It was one afternoon when Adrien and Plagg snuck into Gabriel's office. They hid behind the couch like last time and waited with his phone out to record. After awhile, Nathalie came in and Adrien hit record as she pressed two secret buttons on his mother's painting and went down the secret latch. He waited for a few minutes in case she came back, but when she didn't, he checked his phone to see exactly what she did. With Plagg's help, they were able to open the hatch and was taken down on an elevator.

He saw Nathalie and...Father?

Was he working for Hawkmoth too, like Marinette suggested?

The elevator door opened and he hid himself behind some boxes to watch. The two were busy gardening and working with butterflies to notice.

"Those white butterflies look awfully familiar," Plagg whispered.

"Just because they do, doesn't mean anything. Let's gather evidence first before we assume anything," Adrien said and went quiet as they listened. The adults worked in silence until Nathalie sighed.

"Are you alright? Do you need to rest?" Gabriel asked.

"No, no. I'm fine. My strength is slowly returning everyday. But, I'm worried," she admitted, "Every time I see Adrien, I can't help but feel awful over what we out him through."

"It would have happened eventually now that Marinette has shown her true colors to us," he said.

"Not just that. I'm also talking about the akumas. Every time you send one, you are putting him and his friends in danger," she pointed out, "Look at what happened with Gorizilla, the Punishers Trio, Glitter Queen. Adrien was nearly hurt because of them!"

"May I remind you of your own involvement, Mayura!"

Adrien had to cover his mouth with his hand to suppress a gasp. Nathalie really was Mayura?

'Universe, when I wondered if she was Mayura, I was being sarcastic!' Adrien yelled in his head.

Now that they knew who Mayura really was, all that was left was Hawkmoth.

"It's best you remember your place. Have you forgotten why we are doing this?" Gabriel went on.

"No, but I'm just wondering if there was a more peaceful solution," Nathalie suggested, "Maybe if we explained the situation to them, Ladybug and Cat Noir will want to help."

"If I did tell them, they would know who I am. Think about how Adrien would feel if he knew! No. This is the only way. Besides, even if they knew, they wouldn't do it. Should I wish for a life to return, another life would be taken, and that is something they would never do."

"Adrien, I think we've got enough proof and should leave," Plagg suggested, "This place seriously gives me the creeps."

"No! Not yet!" he said.

He refused to believe Gabriel was Hawkmoth. They were not leaving until the villain showed up. There had to be another reason his father was down there.

Maybe Hawkmoth akumatized him again. Or he threatened to hurt Adrien if Gabriel didn't follow orders. Or promised him something he wanted more than anything in the world.

Nathalie was about to say something when Gabriel stopped her.

"What is it?" she asked.

"I sense a negative emotion. A younger sibling feels neglected by their elder sibling. Perfect!"

Adrien watched as his father removed his ascot to reveal a butterfly brooch. His eyes grew huge at the realization that was the butterfly Miraculous!

"Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!"

A butterfly kwami was sucked into the Miraculous and he watched as Gabriel Agreste transformed into Hawkmoth!

Adrien couldn't hide his loud gasp this time as it escaped his lips before he knew what he was doing.

The two adults heard and turned to see Adrien with a look of shock, fear, anger, and sadness.

"Adrien?" Hawkmoth gasped, "Son, whatever you just saw, whatever you think is going on, I can explain!"

"Father...you're-you're Hawkmoth," he gasped, tears in his eyes.

"Adrien, I know what this looks like," Nathalie chimed in, "but if you would just listen-"

"Save it, Mayura!" he yelled and opened the elevator door to take him away.

"Adrien, wait!" Hawkmoth called, "Dark Wings Fall!"

Adrien went through the hatch into Gabriel's office, ran out the front door and through the gates into the city. He heard their calls, but ignored them. He couldn't stand to be with them right now or be in the house! There was only one person who he could tell and ran straight to her house.

Oh boy! This is not good! Adrien finally knows his father's secret and he is not happy! I mean, not that we blame him. He has every right to be upset! Imagine finding out your father is actually a villain who constantly puts your own life, your friends, and city in danger every day! Not to mention he's the enemy you fight! Poor kid.
