Chapter Eight

University of Hong Kong

"There's another thing you should know, I'm very jealous. I'd rather not know how many girls have been with you or what you have done with them, and I won't let any other woman come near you from now on" she muttered.

"Are you a virgin or what?" Syaoran asked, arching an eyebrow.

Sakura shook her head.

"Then I don't understand that the fact I've been with girls bothers you" he added, crossing his arms over his chest.

"It's a wolf thing, you know I want you all for myself."

"I... also want you all for myself" the boy admitted.

Sakura smiled at him.

"So, how many men have you been with?" he asked out of curiosity.

She lifted her brows as she answered.

"Four. I was with the last one until recently, when he found his mate. Nothing serious though, we just had fun together. You know I can only fall in love with you."

Syaoran made a face and she gave him a grin.

"Does it bother you?" she asked with a funny voice.

"A little."

"Now I only have eyes for you, and that's all that matters" she answered, kissing him on the lips.

Syaoran smirked and looked into her eyes.

"You really don't wanna know?"

"Okay, but don't share too many details" she said, snorting.

"Before Meiling, I was with two girls... nothing serious like you said. And Meiling, well... she insisted so much in having sex that we did it one time not so long ago, but it was a disaster because I realised that I didn't love her and we decided not to do it again until the wedding."

Sakura mumbled something under her breath, provoking his laugh.

"It's not funny at all" she said with anger.

"Now I only have eyes for you, and that's all that matters" Syaoran responded, repeating her own words.

She rolled her eyes, but at the end she was smiling.

"I need a shower, I must go to work. I promised them that I'll finish all I was doing before leaving" he said, getting up.

"What's your job? Your mother said something about university."

"I'm a professor's aid in the Faculty of Archaeology, and I also work as a volunteer in a museum some afternoons."

Sakura's eyes widened with surprise.

"I'm studying at the Public University of Tokyo, last year of veterinary science."

"That's very appropriate, though" he murmured, and both burst out laughing.

When he got close to his suitcase, he turned around and looked at her with a serious face.

"Hey... it's not a problem if you are skipping your classes these days?" he asked, his brow furrowed.

Sakura waved a hand, giving that no importance at all.

"Tomoyo is in my class, so she'll give me her notes from this week."

Syaoran grimaced and opened his suitcase.

"I'm sure you'll find a better job in Tokyo" she mumbled, watching him as he grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom.

"I hope so" he said, giving her a smile before closing the door.

A couple of days later, Sakura was walking through the heart of Hong Kong while Syaoran was at the University.

She was curious to see how different that University was from hers, so he decided to go to the University campus. She got on the train that went to the island where the University was and, after getting off at the first stop she saw, she entered the campus and started walking around there.

The buildings were huge, and all of them were surrounded by gardens where she could see some students enjoying the sun rays.

It reminded her a lot about Tokio University, though this one was a little smaller.

However, she was more than half an hour walking through the gardens until she saw all the buildings. Each one of them had the names of the degrees that was offered inside, both in Cantonese and in English, and her heart skipped a beat when she read in the last building 'Art History, History, Archaeology'.

She smiled, thinking that going it would be a good idea. Maybe she could see Syaoran in the corridors and that would make him nervous, she loved to see him like that.

When she crossed the doors, she could smell Syaoran's scent and her pulse raced.

She looked at a little map, it said that Archaeology was on the second floor so she started to climb the stairs, following his smell and walking around the building.

Sakura bit her lower lip, Syaoran's scent was getting stronger and she had to restrain herself from running off to find him.

She heard his voice and also a female voice, they were talking in Japanese.

She frowned and hid behind a marble column, so she could listen and no one saw her. they were quite far, but she could hear their conversation perfectly.

"So you are really going, professor? I heard that yesterday and it's hard to believe" she was saying.

"Yes, I won't be here next week. I'm going to Japan."

"And will you work in an University there? Maybe I could go back too, I would like you to be my professor for a little more" the girl answered with a suggestive voice.

Sakura clenched her first, trying to contain herself.

"I guess so, I don't know what I'm going to do."

"There's something I've been willing to tell you, Syaoran... can I call you that?" she whispered.

Sakura left her hiding spot and walked towards them, feeling furious.

"I prefer not, only people very close to me call me by my given name" Syaoran answered, his tone serious.

"All right, Li... but I want you to know that I found you very attractive, and I would like to keep in touch, I know you are my professor but you're just a few years older than me and maybe..."

"I'm not your professor, I'm just an assistant."

"Well, but it's almost like you are, I'm sure in Japan you'll find a good opportunity and you'll be a professor, and I... I could go back too, we could date some time..." she said in a low voice.

Sakura turned the corner and finally saw them. The girl had brown hair, big dark eyes and was grabbing Syaoran's arm, while he looked confused and wasn't trying to pull away.

She felt the impulse to jump on her and rip her head off, but she reminded herself that she hated violence and around her were a lot of students, so she couldn't lose control.

When she turned her head, she saw a dark-skinned boy with curly hair at her right, and he was smiling at her.

A good chance to show Syaoran how that felt.

She approached him and sat at his side, straightening his yellow dress and responding to his smile.

"I've never seen you around here, are you a student?" the boy asked in English, closing the book he was reading.

"Yes, I've just arrived and I still don't know the place" Sakura answered, blinking a few times.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Syaoran had seen her and he had a sour face. Sakura savoured her victory and got closer to the curly-haired boy, until their arms touched.

"I could show you the campus and then we can go to the residence where I live. This afternoon there's a big party and I would like you to join us, you'll meet a lot of people there" he mumbled, raising his brows.

"I'd love to" Sakura said, as she looked askance at Syaoran who was approaching them.

The boy was about to answer but he turned his head to look at Syaoran, who was now in front of them.

"What are you doing here, Sakura?" he asked, looking into her eyes.
