Chapter 8

Ryu Uchiha's POV:

After the Leaf Anbu and military police rounded up the enemy ninja, Ryu, his father, and uncle Naruto went back to Ichiraku's. As they entered into the restaurant Sakura rushed over to Uncle Naruto, she said, "Naruto, where is Shina?!"

Naruto looked down and said with grief still heavy in his voice, "He is gone, Sakura. Those bastards took him. They sent him to some other world, I don't know where".

The world seemed to stand still as everyone took in those words. Ryu looked to his aunt Sakura and all the friends and family there with them. Aunt Sakura dropped to her knees. The thought of her firstborn being taken from her being He saw Hanami and Arashi start crying over their lost brother. Akari moved to comfort Arashi, not carrying that everyone now could see the sweet loving side she hid from the world. Ryu saw their friends curse themselves for not being there to help Shina. Ryu turned to Sarada, he saw her crying as hard as Hanami and Arashi, but there was something different. Ryu took a closer look at her eyes.

Ryu's mouth dropped as he said in a voice barely above a whisper, "Sarada. Your eyes".

He saw that his precious sister had awakened her sharingan and at two tomoe already.

Sarada looked up to her elder brother with tears still in her eyes and said, "What?"

Ryu said, "You awakened the Sharingan".

Sarada looked at her hands, Ryu knew that she must be looking at her own chakra and its own movement and flow. Sarada said, "I guess so".

Ryu saw his youngest sister turn to them to see her elder sister's eyes, and Ryu saw Akari's eyes. Akari's eyes displayed the single tomoe pattern of a newly awakened sharingan. Ryu thought to himself, "I guess in my anger I forgot how much Shina means to everyone else, not just me, Shikaku, and Atsushi. Though he was curious as to why Sarada had two tomoe already but Akari only had one. I will have to ask her about that later". Ryu said to his youngest sister, "I guess you have awakened your sharingan as well".

Akari yelled, "Shut it, Ryu. This is no time to look on the bright side. Don't you see how devastated everyone is? Why the hell, aren't you more broken up over this!"

Ryu thought to himself, "Mom's going to find out anyway, I can feel her chakra giving off a more agitated feeling, though I should be careful not to be too open about it. If she finds out, she finds out". Ryu's eyes looked to see if his mother was looking at them , then his eyes shifted, first activating his own sharingan, then activating his Mangekyo sharingan, then quickly deactivated it. Ryu said, "I've already felt the pain of his loss. But I have the hope that he will be okay".

Ryu heard his father cough to get everyone's attention. His father then said, "Shina was transported to an alternate reality or dimension. The enemy were rogue anbu of various nations and villages who someone got themselves access to one of the Uzumaki clan's Time-Space Sealing techniques. Shina clashed his rasengan with the enemy's leader who was using the Uzumaki technique. They mistakenly believed that it would kill Shina rather than just transport him there and seal him away. I don't know how much of the Uzumaki clan's safeguards were still intact from the blast. But with my rinnegan's time space traveling jutsu and Naruto's Six Paths and own skill with sealing jutsu, we should be able to bring him back safely. The problem is that it will require a massive amount of chakra and so Naruto and I will need to take on more tailed beast chakra and some of Jugo's sage transformation in order to give us the best possible chance of finding him in a timely manner".

Sakura said, "Just do whatever it takes to bring my son back to home".

Sasuke turned to Naruto and said, "summon the tailed beasts and Gaara and Bee, I know that it will take a few days for them to get here".

Naruto said, "Already done, they will get here as soon as possible. The tailed Beasts expressed concern about humans with questionable goals and motives having access to such powerful sealing techniques".

Ryu's mother walked up to his father and him saying, "I need to speak with you two in private".

Ryu's hair stood up on the back and said, "Yes, mom".

His father and he walked with his mother to the backroom of the restaurant. She closed the door, and paused. Then she yelled, "What were you thinking of trying to hide Ryu's Mangeyko Sharingan from me?" She turned to his father and continued, "Did you think I wouldn't be reaching out with my sensory abilities trying to see if Shina and Ryu were okay. Or that I wouldn't be able to sense the changes in my own son's chakra from normal to that of the cold darkness of awakening those eyes. I was there when you awoke yours, do you honestly think I wouldn't pick it up!?"

Ryu tensed at his mother's yelling, but before he could say anything to help his father, his father spoke in response. Sasuke said, "It's not that I don't trust in your skills, it's that I was trying to spare you from the bad memories".

His mother calmed down, sighed, and said, "You always try to do kind things in your own little ways. Just don't keep me out of the loop next time. Remember, you don't have to take everything on by yourself".

Sasuke replied with a slight smile, "I'm sorry about that. Even after all these years, I guess I still haven't taken that to heart".

She turned to her son and said, "Now I need to speak to your father alone, go see if there is anything you can help and watch over your sisters".

Ryu replied, "Yes mom".

Rye wondered what it could be about, his mom always acted so weird when his father was back in town. He remembered as a kid, always having to go over to the Hokage's personal residence and sleep over, the first night or two when his father returned. It was fun hanging out with Shina and his younger sisters always enjoyed spending the night with the Uzumakis. He knew exactly why he and his sisters were sent over, but he doubted that was the reason why he was asked to leave. His mom may be a "hot blooded Uzumaki", but she wasn't as impulsive as uncle Naruto. He continued back to the dinning room of the restaurant.

Sasuke Uchiha's POV:

He wondered why his wife wanted to speak to him alone now, she was right about not hiding Ryu's new eyes, but if she wanted to continue to yell at him about that she wouldn't care about doing it in front of their children.

Karin looked into his eyes with said, "Sasuke, I know this may not be the best time for it, but since Naruto and you are going to be gone for who knows how long searching for Shina, I figure this will probably be the best time to mention it," she took a deep breath and continued, " Sasuke, I'm pregnant".

His heart skipped a beat. He quickly blinked his eyes and asked, "What?"

Karin repeated herself, "I'm pregnant".

He let out a smile and moved closer to his wife and took her into an intimate embrace. He said," Really? I'm so happy". He moved his real hand to her chin, tenderly lifting it up, and then he kissed her. He said, "I love you, Karin".

Karin replied, "I love you too, now let's go back to everyone".

He walked back alongside his wife hand in hand

Several days later:

They stood several klicks outside the outer walls of the Leaf Village in order to allow the Tailed Beast to safely stand together. Bee and Gaara were standing a few meters away to allow Naruto and himself to say their goodbyes to their families. Naruto gave his two remaining children a big hug and kiss on the crowns of their heads. Making them promise to be good for Sakura. Sasuke looked to his own children.

Sasuke said, "Sarada and Akari, I know things are tough right now, and I haven't been back for that long, but I promise when I return I shall help train your sharingans. For now just continue training on your own and with Ryu. Ryu will train you for now. Remember, the Sharingan may be awakened by loss, but it is through love that it gets its strength. The greater your love, the stronger your visual prowess will become." He lowered himself and hugged his two daughters holding them close to and into their ears saying, "I love you, Sarada, Akari. Be good to your mother, you know how she worries".

Sarada and Akari with tears in their eyes said in unison, "Yes dad, I love you too".

He let them out of his hug, as he stood back up. He turned to what he hoped would be eldest son by this time next year and said, "Ryu, I will train you and your new eyes myself when I return, but for now unless it's to protect your mother and sisters, do not use those eyes. The Mangekyo Sharingan slowly seals off its own power until the eyes go blind, with the more you use them the faster they are sealed away. Only when a new pair of eyes from a close blood relation will you be able to see again .I sealed my old eyes in one of my personal dimensions to prevent anyone from getting them, so before I train you, I will need to retrieve them". He hugged his son and said into his ear, "I love you, please protect your mother and your siblings".

Ryu stepped out of the hug with a shocked face and asked, "Is mom?"

Sasuke cut him off and replied, "Yes, don't make it obvious that I told you, she wanted to tell you and your sisters herself, but I needed to give you that mission, man to man".

Ry's eyes beamed with pride, "I promise dad. No harm will come to them".

Sasuke turned to see what his best friend was doing now, he saw Naruto holding Sakura in his arms and sharing a long passionate goodbye kiss. Sasuke turned back to his own wife. He said, "I promise I will be back as soon as I can. I love you, Karin".

His wife replied, "I love you too".

They then shared a deep kiss. Then they broke apart their kiss and Karin walked back to where their family and friends were. He and Naruto walked over to the clearing where the tailed beasts and the other jinchuriki were. The tailed beast all placed a fore limb or tail in the case of Saiken and Chomei, Bee and Gaara simply pressed their fist into the stacked appendages of the other biju. Naruto pressed his own fist into the pile and absorbed as much chakra as he could without weakening the biju or sealing them into him. While Sasuke absorbed some of Jugo's sage transformation, he didn't go into the curse mark stage two, but he did resemble the first stage.

They stepped away from the Biju and looked back at their friends, family, and the tailed beasts. Naruto placed his hand on Sasuke's shoulder and an orange bubbly chakra soon surrounded Sasuke. Sasuke activated his rinne-sharingan's space time jutsu, then he and Naruto stepped through the portal. As soon as they were through, the portal closed.

Sorry for the wonky uploads these last two weeks, I got hit with some writer's block. The schedule from now on will probably be every two weeks or more since I've started a new semester.
