A/N: And here, we have the next chapter of the story where Dr. Frankenstein puts his plan into action, but who would be his subject this time? Well, we'll find out soon enough. :)
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Meet Frankenstein
Chapter 7: A Monstrous Problem
Later that day, Ted was speaking with Dave on the bench.
"So, there you have it. I'm filled with terror and self-loathing, my job is hanging by a thread, and I don't have anyone to entertain at tonight's world premiere party. What do you think?", Ted asked.
"Well, I can't help you with your bed-wetting. But I can solve your entertainment problem.", Dave assured.
"Oh, I don't know. This premiere is the biggest thing this studio's had in years. If it bombs…", Ted began.
"I know, I know. You could lose your job.", Dave responded.
"Wha…? What have you heard?", Ted asked.
"Nothing. Nothing, really.", Dave responded.
"Well…, they can't be late.", Ted spoke before walking away.
"I give you my word.", Dave assured.
Meanwhile, the monster, Amy, Talbot, and the chipmunks were on their way home just as the chippettes already arrived back home and went there.
"Good luck at tonight's world premiere party, Theodore.", Eleanor waved as she, Brittany, and Jeanette then headed back to Mrs. Miller's house.
"Thanks, Eleanor.", Theodore waved in response before getting an idea and looking up to the monster.
"Hey, Frankie. Tomorrow, I'm gonna teach you how to speak.", Theodore spoke while his ice cream was bounced off his cone before he then ate the ice cream before it could land on the ground with the monster then nodding in agreement, licking his ice cream cone, and eating it, inadvertently splashing some on Amy.
"You really like that ice cream, don't you?", Amy grinned with a slight giggle.
"Although, we have much to work on for the case of eating manners.", Talbot spoke
"And I'm gonna teach him how to skateboard. That'll be fun.", Alvin spoke before eating his ice cream.
"Come on, guys. We'll be late.", Amy urged as they made their way back home just before Simon's watched beeped.
"Dinner! And just in time, too.", Simon spoke.
"Let's fix him his favorite lasagna.", Theodore suggested.
"That sounds like a great idea.", Amy grinned.
"Excellent. I'll help get the tablecloth and glasses ready.", Talbot assured as he followed the others, not knowing that Dr. Frankenstein was peeping out from the tree with a glare.
"Funny. I did not know he was much of a people person…", Dr. Frankenstein glared.
Later, as Talbot was setting up the tablecloth and Amy was setting up glasses and forks, Theodore was speaking as Amy helped Frankie make lasagna, starting by cutting the onions.
"The ants in France stay mainly in my pants.", Theodore spoke as Frankie cut the onion before he started crying, even wiping away his tears as Theodore was getting the bread ready, Alvin was getting dishes, and Simon was cooking dinner.
"Better.", Alvin spoke before Frankie grinned and continued chopping the onions, that is until he accidentally cut himself in the finger.
"Uh-oh. Owie…!", Frankie groaned before Theodore then went looking for a bandage before finding it and giving it to the monster.
"It's all right, Frankie. It's all right.", Theodore assured while kissing his finger where the bandage is before the monster kissed it gently himself and patted Theodore in the head just as the oven dinged.
"Voila. Dave's favorite lasagna is ready.", Simon spoke before the monster walked toward the oven and opened it before getting the pan just as Amy and Talbot arrived just in time to notice.
"No, Frankie, wait!", Amy shouted.
"Carrying the pan without heat protection could give you…!", Talbot added before Frankie started feeling the severe heat and shouted.
"AAAAH! OWIE!", the monster shouted before inadvertently tossing the pan backwards straight toward the back door window, breaking it.
"…severe burns.", Talbot finished with a sigh.
"No worries. I got this one.", Amy assured just before then going outside to pick it up.
"Might I suggest oven mitts?", Simon suggested just before Dave entered the house.
"Fellas, I'm home!", Dave shouted, making the others gasp.
"Frankie, outside!", Simon urged before he, Alvin, Theodore, and Talbot got him outside, although the latter of the three, in doing so, quickly noticed the doctor taking off with Amy, making him gasp a bit in shock.
As a matter of fact, Frankie noticed, too, but only because he saw the one thing she never goes anywhere without: her ribbon, which happened to be next to the tossed-out pan of lasagna, before picking it up and picking up a very bad scent, bad enough for him to give a growl.
"Fellas, guess who's playing at the premiere tonight?", Dave spoke.
"Great.", Alvin, Simon and Theodore spoke in unison before Dave picked up a delicious smell from the oven.
"Something smells great. Lasagna?", Dave asked.
"We were making it for dinner just now.", Talbot spoke before the monster then grabbed Alvin, Simon, and Theodore out from the window.
"Alvin? Simon? Theodore?", Dave puzzled.
"They must've left to get ready for the big premiere tonight. I'd better get there myself soon.", Talbot assured before heading out the door.
"Well, at least bring some of that dinner with you, Mr. Talbot. After all, you did help make it.", Dave offered.
"That would be nice, actually, Mr. Seville.", Talbot thanked as he then picked up a plate and then scooped some lasagna into his plate.
"I'll be eating outside for a moment, though.", Talbot responded before heading out to the steps.
Meanwhile, Simon whispered to the monster.
"What is it?", Simon asked before the monster then gave him Amy's ribbon that was left behind.
"Amy would never go anywhere without her ribbon.", Simon spoke.
"Awfully suspicious, I'd say. Where's Amy?", Alvin asked just as Talbot got outside before the monster then did a pose of grabbing someone and walking away with said person, combined with laughter.
"What is he doing?", Simon asked.
"I believe he is trying to tell us that the mad doctor captured Amy and brought her to his castle.", Talbot responded with the monster then nodded and tapped on his nose gently.
"How did you get all that?", Alvin asked.
"It wasn't that hard to figure out. That, and I saw what happened just as we were escorting him out before Mr. Seville could spot him. In any case, we'd better get going and fast.", Talbot urged.
"Guys, quit playin' around. You've got a premiere to get to.", Dave urged before Simon spoke up.
"We're leaving right now.", Simon assured.
"See you there.", Theodore added before the monster growled in addition.
"Gee. Alvin sounds like he's getting a cold.", Dave spoke before then getting a scoop of lasagna and eating it.
Meanwhile, at the Majestic Park Movie Studios, Dr. Frankenstein was humming a familiar song from earlier with Amy strapped into a table.
"Bah! I can't get that annoying song out of my head. You have ruined my beautiful monster, but I shall have my revenge. You shall be the raw material in my latest experiment.", the doctor spoke as he poured a chemical into another.
"Look, I may have an interest in being a lab rat as much as the next guy, but I think you should at least get a signed permission slip first.", Amy joked.
"Joke while you can, little pup. I am going to turn you into a mindless zombie. Have you ever seen a mindless zombie?", the doctor asked.
"Only in movies. What's your point?", Amy responded.
Meanwhile, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Talbot, and the monster were marching quickly toward the studio.
"Hurry! We gotta save Amy!", Theodore shouted.
Back at the castle, Dr. Frankenstein just finished making a formula of sorts.
"Finally! My fiendish formula is finished!", Dr. Frankenstein shouted before walking over to Amy.
"Now, all you need do is drink this before it eats through the beaker.", the doctor ordered.
"No. I'm pretty sure it'd stunt my growth.", Amy refused in response, albeit jokingly.
"Quite the contrary.", the doctor smirked.
Meanwhile, Simon spoke to the park-goers nearby.
"Excuse us. Monster. Monster coming through.", Simon spoke up.
"Make room, make room.", Alvin added.
"Hurry!", Theodore urged.
"The sooner we get to Dr. Frankenstein, the better.", Talbot added before one of the parkgoers then spoke to the monster.
"Wait! Uh, can I get a shot of you with my wife?", the man asked before Frankie sighed and moaned, "all right" before standing behind the man's wife with his hands on her shoulders and a smile before the picture was taken.
Meanwhile, Amy shouted to him.
"Wait!", Amy shouted, annoying the mad scientist.
"What now?", Dr. Frankenstein asked.
"Uh, is it regular or diet?", Amy asked nervously.
At that point, Talbot, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Frankie saw what was going on from inside.
"What's going on in there?", Theodore asked.
"He must be administering his formula to her.", Talbot guessed.
"Probably to turn her into a monster.", Alvin added.
"I wouldn't put it past him given last night's events.", Talbot spoke before Simon then tried to open the door, but with no such luck.
"It's locked!", Simon spoke.
Inside, the doctor then laughed as he poured the formula into her mouth just as the others then went for another door nearby.
"Hey. There's another door.", Simon spoke as he then ran to it as meanwhile, Amy coughed and gagged as the doctor then spoke.
"And now, for 50,000 volts to complete the process.", the doctor spoke before then lowering a helmet to place on her head.
"You think the other one was a monster? Wait until we see what you turn into…', the doctor sneered with a smirk while lowering the helmet down further so it'd touch her head.
Meanwhile, the chipmunks tried to break the door open, but were unsuccessful.
"It's no use.", Theodore panted.
"Time for the heavy artillery.", Talbot spoke before turning to the monster.
"Frankie, we've got a bad door here.", Talbot spoke before Frankie then growled and roared, smashing through the door just in time to see Dr. Frankenstein about to pull the lever when he saw the door getting broken down.
"Talbot!", the doctor exclaimed.
"Guys!", Amy grinned.
"You're not making anymore monsters, Dr. Frankenstein. Now, give it up.", Talbot urged.
"Yes, well… About that…, too late.", the doctor smirked before pulling a lever, causing the machine to power up with the electricity travelling down toward the helmet, causing Amy to turn into a mermaid first and then change into a lizard girl right before then turning into an anthropomorphic squirrel.
"Don't you say a word.", Amy spoke.
It was at that point that a drop of water dripped into a plug, causing the machine to go on the fritz, catching the doctor's attention.
"What? NOOOOOOO!", the doctor shouted as the machine exploded, knocking him back, and causing Amy to change back to normal.
"Ugh… glad that's over.", Amy groaned.
"Amy! Are you okay?", Theodore asked.
"I hope so.", Amy responded with Theodore trying to pull the helmet off her head.
"Hey!", Amy exclaimed just as the mad doctor then got back up with a cough.
"What happened? The formula I fed that girl is foolproof. Perhaps another jolt.", the doctor spoke.
"I don't believe that's the problem.", Simon spoke while picking up the book from the doctor's hands.
"Wait a minute! Unhand that notebook!", Dr. Frankenstein shouted.
"Over my dead body.", Simon retorted in refusal.
"Oh, that can be arranged.", Dr. Frankenstein growled before lunging at him only to miss as Simon then ran toward the brains in jars.
"This oughta stop him.", Simon spoke before knocking the jars against each other, causing them to break.
"AAH! You're breaking my brains!", Dr. Frankenstein exclaimed before running over to them just as the monster managed to pull the restraints off Amy.
"Quickly, Amy! We have to get out of here!", Talbot urged.
"Right.", Amy nodded before she and the others ran out of the castle.
"My poor babies… Pappy's here…", Dr. Frankenstein assured to the brains on the ground before the others already noticed that the group escaped with everyone leaving the castle before Dr. Frankenstein came out of the castle and stared on with a glare.
"You will not get away that easily, my little lab rat…", the doctor glared.
Meanwhile, the others ran to the center of town to get some space.
"Amy, what formula did the doctor give you?", Talbot asked.
"I don't know. It was a purple drink, but it didn't taste very good.", Amy responded.
"Hey, Amy. Here's your ribbon.", Theodore spoke before giving it back to Amy.
"Thanks, Theodore.", Amy grinned before tying her ribbon back into her hair just as Simon read the notebook for answers.
"Hmm. Cartoon Monster Maker Frappé. Serve cold with 50,000 volt chaser. Then wait 3 minutes.", Simon read aloud.
"How much time has passed?", Talbot asked before Simon took a look at his watch and noticed that 3 minutes had passed already.
"Uh-oh.", Simon spoke just before Amy started to get a weird feeling as she groaned while starting to grow bigger.
"Guys?", Amy asked worriedly before she continued growing, bigger than she was supposed to be, in fact, much to the group's shock and concern.
"What's going on here?", Talbot asked.
"I-I don't know. But I think you guys are shrinking.", Amy guessed just before her hands grew bigger than normal one finger at a time.
"Or maybe that formula he made you drank is turning you into a giant.", Talbot guessed.
"Well, make it stop…!", Amy spoke in worry.
As a matter of fact, her clothes even started to tear away the instant her feet outgrew her shoes with her shirt then tearing off to become a sort of bra while her pants tore into shorts as the chipmunks, Talbot, and Frankie looked on in astonishment while everyone else nearby just noticed the growth as a shadow loomed over them.
"Guys… help me!", Amy spoke in slight panic before groaning as her chest billowed out in size, at least making it bouncy enough with the same happening to her butt as well, only it wasn't anywhere near bouncy still, but just as big as her newly grown chest all the same, making her give a squeal of surprise.
"No… This can't be happening…", Amy spoke in worry before the citizens who noticed her growth screamed and fled in panic.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! IT'S THE 50 FT. WOMAN!", one of the park goers shouted.
"Wait, wait. Everybody, it's OK! Have some concessions while we're figuring this out.", Amy spoke as the park goers retreated, all except for a couple still in the water raft ride.
"Wow. Now, that is very lifelike!", the man from earlier spoke as he noticed.
Meanwhile, Amy was quite shocked.
"How could this happen?!", Amy exclaimed in worry.
"Well, look at the bright side. At least it'll be easy to find the world premiere party.", Alvin assured nervously before Amy then noticed it as Talbot spoke next.
"There's bound to be a cure for what happened.", Talbot spoke.
"And there is. It says here that for instructions on how to reverse the transformation, see page 149. And we'll be sure to look for some ingredients for the cure if there are any while we're there.", Simon responded.
"In the meantime, Frankie and I will make sure will that Dr. Frankenstein doesn't get to you.", Talbot assured.
"Phew. In that case, I could get used to this. So, come on, guys. We've got a big world premiere to get to.", Amy grinned as the giantess then picked the chipmunks up and made her way there.
A/N: And there you have it. The doctor's subject this time is Amy and the experiment leaves her changed into a giant! Pretty surprising, huh? On that note, I added a few references from "Monsters vs. Aliens", "A Goofy Movie", and "Phineas and Ferb". Guess which reference is which. :) Anyhow, we are now one chapter closer to the finale. Exciting, huh? Until next time. :)
