Quick note!
To avoid confusion, since I often use italics to make things dramatic like:
"What are you doing here?"
Since Todoroki's mother tongue is shown in italics, the dramatized words will be bold as well.
"What are you doing here?"
Now on to the chapter! :D
Midoriya decides he's going to run more often at daylight so he can get there before his heat, hopefully. He's got to hand it to the Bakugou's, they have a vast territory. He reckoned that it'll take two weeks if he runs all day. Three weeks if he runs partially. Honestly he simply can't wait until he's at Todoroki's, his father may not like it, at all, but Todoroki Shoto is one to be trusted. He's a quiet but strong prince, he'll make an excellent king one day, flawless perhaps.
God this was exhausting! He ran all day for a week. Every time he woke his body begged him to not run. Just one more week... One more and he can rest fully. He ran until he was out of breath, took a break and ran again. At least he's probably getting further from Bakugou's pursuit. He's at the edge of Bakugou's kingdom, two more days and he'll be out of there.
Fina-fucking-ly. He breathed heavily. He was at the capitol, where Todoroki is, now all he has to do is find the castle. His memory was hazy but he had a general idea of where it is. Before that, he needed to rest. He found some dingy little alleyway and naped behind a pile of garbage.
He opened his eyes to see the night sky has taken over. Now all he has to do is find the market, the central market. From there leads a large road to the castle. He managed to find the market while dodging the nosy eyes of Todoroki's people. He knows he cannot just go in there, it's most likely the guards would stop him and not allow a 'peasant' in. He was hella filthy, slathered with dirt and dried leaves. Not to mention the horrid stench of sweat as well he had yet to wash off.
His eyes darted around, trying to find an opening. Finally he found one and gunned for it. Quickly climbing the, thankfully rocky, wall. He huffed as he jumped down the other side of the wall and dashed through the well kept grass. He remembered where Todoroki's room is and ran to it. Man it was high up.
He sighs heavily and climbs the wall to the open window and crawls in. By then he was a panting mess, all this climbing and running non stop was taking a heavy toll. His muscles were absolutely exhausted.
"T-... T-Todoroki?" He called out in the dimly lit room. He flinched at the noise of a sword being unsheathed.
"Wa.. Wait!" He breathed heavily.
"Alpha.. Chief Midoriya pre.. sents himself." He scrambled for the words of get another different language as well as the air to speak. He kneeled for respect and for the sake of taking a break.
"Alpha Chief." He coolly breathed out, sending shivers down Midoriya's spine.
"Fallen Alpha Chief Midoriya. Why have you come here?" The sound of the sword being put back into it's sheath was heard. The clack of his shoe heels came closer, revealing himself in the dim light.
"You're my ally. A friend in arms. I had hoped you could take in this humbled royal." He avoided his eyes out of respect.
"Humbled royal indeed. I'll take you under my wing, dear old friend."
"You have my gratitude, I will make sure to repay you in some way." He sighed with relief.
"You are an omega. Why have you kept this secret?" Todoroki got straight to the questions.
"I am. It is my people's tradition to have alphas on the throne but alas I am the last of my line."
"How admirable. It's a shame your people want you back to make you breed."
"I expected that... I have been too kind to them. I won't allow them any more favours though." His expression saddened.
"Where is King Todoroki? I'd assume he will not be pleased by my face."
"You are looking at him." Midoriya's eyes widened as it was put together.
"Apologies for the lack of respect." Midoriya kneeled down and lowered his head, presenting his scent glad- the most vulnerable part of him, as ond should in the presence of a king.
"You've had no time to be informed, you don't not need to apologise. We are friends remember?" He held out his hands to lift him up.
"Thank you for your courtesy." Midoriya allowed him to help and rose his head.
"I'm sorry if I sound nosy but what happened for you to.. Asend the throne?"
"I overthrew him. He was improper, his personal goals started to corrupt society."
"You're admirable. That must have taken a lot.." Midoriya looked at him with eyes that screamed 'I know'.
"You look exhausted. I'll prepare you a room." He rang a bell for a maid. A woman entered and paled at the sight, looking like she was ready to scream for the guards to come and arrest the intruder.
"Prepare my guest a room."
"Y-Yes my king.." She attempted to compose herself and left the room with her head dipped, anyone would be surprised at a dirty intruder and yet their king claims otherwise.
"Would you like to wash yourself first?"
"Personally I would love to go straight to bed but I should make myself somewhat presentable." He chuckled softly.
"I'll assign you a temporary maid." He nodded.
"That is not necessary. I am already being pampered enough." Todoroki nods, understanding his situation.
A knock makes them both turn.
"Come." Todoroki beckoned.
"My king, we have prepared the room."
"Prepare a bath as well." The maid nodded respectfully at the order.
Todoroki leaned forward to the omega.
"Keep your identity secret. By now everyone knows The Fallen Alpha is an omega and I can't trust a lot of people here." He gave him a warning look. Midoriya understood he could be killed or worse, dragged to Bakugou to be a plaything.
Midoriya went to the room where he was handed clean clothes and dragged to a large bathroom after a some time had passed.
"May we assist you?"
"No, but thank you for the consideration."
"Of course." The pair of maids dipped their heads and left.
Midoriya set down his sword. He then scrubbed himself clean and sank into the pool of hot water and fragrance. His wounds are almost healed, that's good. His chest was healed along with every shallow cut that was made. The once larger wounds had been reduced to shallow cuts. The only thing that was really bothering him was his feet, he did run for a week over rough terrain.
He quickly got out after soaking and washed his dirty sword. Midoriya changed into his new clothes and exited the bathroom. The room only had a two candles lit, they had obviously blown out the others. Midoriya crawled into his bed and sat up, cuddling his sword. He allowed himself to fall asleep after feeling the cold sword become warm with his own heat.
Author:
Thank God Todoroki is reasonable. I'm still figuring out what Endeavor was doing for him to send Todoroki off the edge.
