A/N: It's been a while, huh?

I woke up before Thalia did. I rubbed my eyes, my head foggy for some reason. I remembered what we did last night before bed (still felt some butterflies), but there was something else, something about a bright light during the night at some point...? I shook it clear from my head, deciding it would be better not to dwell on it. I usually forget my dreams anyway.

That brought my attention to the Glaceon sleeping peacefully in my arms. I didn't need to open my eyes to feel her there next to me, her arms wrapped around me tight. It was going to be quite a change from the way things were with her, but that was okay with me. I was happy, and she seemed happy. That's all that mattered.

I slowly untangled myself from her and got up to start my morning routine in the bathroom. She must have woken up when I moved, as she gave a cute little yawn and started rubbing her eyes with her hands before rolling back over and pulling the covers back up to her head.

I smiled and turned to walk into the bathroom. I made it about three steps before my brain started working and processed what I just saw.

Arms? Hands? Wait...

I quickly turned around and poked my head back out of the bathroom, focused again on Thalia under the covers on the futon.

The outline that was her figure underneath the blankets certainly didn't look like that of a Pokémon. "Hey… Hey, Thalia?"

She stirred before lowering the covers a bit so she could look at me. My jaw must have dropped because she gave me a quizzical look. "What?"

Her question didn't break me out of my trance. "Alec, what is it?" She turned and sat up. She reached up and brushed a piece of dark blue hair out of her face. If my jaw wasn't on the floor already, it was now. "Are you going to keep staring or tell me what you're gawking at?" she asked, irritation creeping into her voice.

"Uuhhhh… Why don't you take a moment to think about what you just did over the last ten seconds?"

She tilted her head for a second, then mimicked the movement she just did. When she brought her hand to her face, her eyes got a confused look, then they went wide. "Oh! What…? O-Oh my god!?" Her view went past her hands and down over her chest and hips. "OH ARCEUS! Alec, what the hell happened!?"

I was just as dumbfounded as she was. "Thalia… I- I don't know! Is this because of last night!? Did you know this would happen?"

"No! Not at all! I didn't know this could happen…" Her voice trailed off as she inspected more of her figure.

"You have a mirror, right?" she asked.

"Yeah, in the bathroom."

"Okay." She jumped up on her new feet – or at least she tried – to before falling back onto the bed.

I chuckled. "Not used to balancing on two legs, are you?"

"Shut up and help me up!" She shot me her trademark glare. At least that part was still around, I mused.

I went over to her and took her hands and helped her learn how to balance on two feet. After a few minutes of not holding on to things, she was able to walk herself over to the bathroom while I spotted her, ready to steady her if she were to fall.

"Woah," she deadpanned when she saw herself in the mirror.

The Thalia that looked back at us in the mirror was quite something. Her face was more humanoid than a normal Glaceon, but still had a touch of the vulpine/canine look that was the trademark of Eeveelutions. Its color was a bit darker than a robin's egg blue, much like most of her body. Her lips were a shade darker than that, just faintly an outline compared to the rest of the features of her face. She still had a cute little black nose at the tip, and the bottom of her muzzle rounded into the top of her mouth. Her eyes were a dark sparkling blue, like the color of the deep ocean when you get out past the beach and sandbars. Her eyebrows were the same dark teal shade as her hair, which was long enough to reach past her shoulders. There were two streaks that went past the front of her face that were longer than the rest, reminiscent of the tassels she had as a Pokémon. Her bangs were spikier than the rest of it, being the hair-equivalent of the ice crown of fur she used to have. There were still two big pointy ears sticking out of her head past her hair, light blue like her face with the darker hue on the inside of them.

Her figure was slender, but not without hints of the muscles that lay beneath the surface. Her skin was the same light blue all over her body, save for past her elbows and knees and a few spots on her back, which were the darker teal color. The coloration made it look like she was wearing long gloves and knee-high socks. Her skin looked exceptionally smooth, just like her face. Her hands had what looked like a hybrid of human nails and claws, a bit longer and pointier than mine but not so much to look too unnatural. She still had her tail too, which extended out from above her butt and has its characteristic Glaceon markings.

It was clear her transformation gave her some additional assets too. "Ohmygod! I have boobs!" she squealed, cupping them in her hands. They were large enough that her hands couldn't fit all the way around them, but they weren't absurdly huge. I tried to keep the dirty thoughts at bay. She wasn't making it easy.

"You have quite the ass now, too." I observed.

She responded by shoving it backward into me, which earned her an eyeroll from me. She stuck her pink tongue out at me, which also exposed the tips of fangs that were still larger than a normal human's canines, but not so large that they protruded from her mouth unless she wanted to show you.

"Damn, I do look good though." She said, admiring her body.

"You have a body that would make most girls jealous," I complimented.

She turned around and whacked me with her tail. She gave me a playful look "Oh and does the boy like this~," she asked, pretending to be innocent and giving me some lip. She cupped her boobs again and shook her hips to add flair.

Her moves worked as intended. I took a sudden interest in the ceiling, trying to be modest and failing, "You look very sexy now."

"Hey! Does that mean I wasn't sexy before?" she glared.

"Before you were cute. Now you are cute and sexy, in my humble opinion." I countered quickly, and booped her nose to prove my point.

"Hey!" she said. She looked down past her waist, examining the rest of her body. "Does this still work the same?" she asked, pointing to her crotch.

"Yeah, it should. We could always test it out later…" I added, my turn to tease her.

She suddenly pulled me close and kissed me long enough to get me hard again. As if the rest of her wasn't doing that already. "Why don't we find out right now…" she said, dragging a finger down my bare chest. She gave me a pleading look.

"Fuck, you're sexy," I sighed, "But don't you think right now we have more pressing matters, such as figuring out what the hell caused this?" I used my finger to do a visual loop of her body.

"Ugh, fine." She did not look pleased.

Exiting the bathroom, I went to my computer to start searching around the web to see if I could find similar cases to what happened with Thalia. Anthro Pokémon weren't common, but they weren't super rare either. However, I'd have never heard of a Pokémon turning into an anthro before.

I called over to Thalia. "Hey, since you now have, y'know, opposable thumbs, do you mind getting some food out for us?" Her belly rumbled as I said "food," so I could tell she was hungry too.

"I suppose. What do you want?"

"You can grab some yogurt from the fridge and toss some bread in the toaster. I can teach you how to use a spoon," I half-joked.

"Hey, I'm not going to be the maid around here now just because I don't have paws anymore!"

"Yeah, but I'm going to see what Google says about this" -I pointed up and down at her- "and unless you want to ignore the chow upgrade and stick with Pokémon food, you can help out a little to make this all go faster." I earned another eyeroll but pressed on. "Set the toaster dial to 4 and don't burn yourself."

A few minutes later I was starting to look at search results and heard a -thunk- of the toaster popping up followed by a yelp by the toaster operator as she probably burned herself.

I turned around and raised an eyebrow as she was soaking her finger in her mouth. "Shut up!" she said and flipped me off. I laughed and went back to reading.

Engrossed in my screen, I felt a kiss on my cheek that told me food was ready. Thalia came over with two plates and a pile of toast, a few yogurts and some utensils. I went and grabbed some butter, too, sat down next to her on the futon. She was already munching on a piece of toast.

"Thith ith tho dry! Do people eat thith?" She asked through a mouthful of toast.

"Not like that," I said and took her toast and put some butter on it. I gave it back to her. "Better?"

She took another bite that visibly went down smoother. "Better," she smiled. "So, what did you find out?"

"Well, not a lot unfortunately. Doesn't seem to be a lot of records of Pokémon turning into anthros, believe it or not. All I found was some rumors that supposedly it has to do with when a trainer and a Pokémon have a very deep connection or share a special bond."

"You got that deep part right, hahah- ouch! Hey!" I had elbowed her in the ribs.

"You've been asking for that."

"Fair. So, what else?"

"Well, I have an idea of someone here who I can ask. There is a sociology professor here that studies human-Pokémon-anthro interaction and relationships. I might pay him a visit and if he has any more knowledge about this stuff. I doubt the library here will be much more help than what I already found."

"Cool. So, do I get to come?"

"You already did- ow!" My turn for an elbow. "I mean, sure I don't see why not. You'll have to throw on some of my clothes though."

"You know, I'm gonna have to get used to this whole nudity/modesty thing. Didn't have to deal with that until now," she said thoughtfully. She rested her head on my shoulder, having finished her food.

"Yeah, well now that you have a body like that, you're gonna have to cover it in public."

"Man, being human-like sucks," she said flatly.

"Hey, it's not all bad. It has its benefits," I said, defending my race.

"Oh yeah, like what?"

"Well for starters, our food is better," I said, pointing to the crumbs on her chin. She held up her hands in a "you-got-me" motion. "And just think, now we can do so much more stuff together. Go out to places, go on real dates. I can take you places, and we can do things that you couldn't have done as a Pokémon."

"Hey, I really liked the things we did together when I was a Pokémon! Those battles and gyms exercises were fun. The meteor shower was super cool. And are you really going to tell me you didn't enjoy having sex with a Pokémon?" She cocked an eyebrow, but I knew it was more of a rhetorical question.

"I mean it was different, but I still very much enjoyed it. Hey, put those eyes away!" She was giving me a teasing look again. "And besides, now that you have some additions, we can have some more fun." I nudged her playfully.

Her look turned lustful. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," I said, and reached over with my hand. I slowly and gently ran my fingers from her knee up to her inner thigh, ending just before her crotch. She shivered and almost fell over, but I could tell from her face that it was all pleasure. "Told you," I smirked.

"Come here," she said. She leaned over to kiss me, and as she did, I took one hand and held the base of her head, just above her neck, and put the other one on her back and slid it down slowly towards her butt. She moaned into me as she felt my touch, and I took the opportunity to open her mouth with my tongue. We tongue wrestled for a few minutes before I pulled back and opened my eyes. Thalia looked like she wanted to melt. I smiled at her again.

"Ok, maybe you're right. I'd love it if you showed me some more…" she got that lustful look in her eyes again.

"I thought I took care of your heat?"

"You did. Very much so," she answered happily. "But then I woke up like this, and I've only been thinking about a few things since then~" she moved her eyes from mine, down to my crotch, and back up again.

"Later, I promise." She didn't like that. Desperate to change the subject, I thought about something else that we hadn't thought of yet. "Hey, what about your moves? Do you think you can still use Pokémon moves now that your form is different?"

She stopped to consider that for a minute. "Hmm. I don't know. Let's see!" She reached over with her hand, and with one motion, covered my nose in a layer of ice. Upon seeing her result, she burst out laughing. As much as I wanted to pretend to be mad about it, I couldn't help myself and started laughing along with her. It was a few minutes before either of us got a hold of ourselves again.

"So, we're going to see this professor guy you talked about?" Thalia asked between breaths, walking next to me as we made our way across campus. She was a bit shorter than me, so she had to walk a little faster to keep up with my stride. She was wearing one of my shirts with the name of a live show tour I went to one time, and a pair of sweatpants that would have fallen off if her hips weren't so wide.

"Yeah, his page said he had office hours soon, so we should be able to just walk in and talk to him, assuming he's there."

It was a few days after the "discovery" of Thalia's transformation. I had helped her learn some of the habits of being on two legs that she couldn't pick up on her own. But her intelligence was impressive, as most things she picked up quickly, and I didn't have to do a lot to help her. She was proud to be able to learn things on her own and surprise me.

Yesterday, I had come back from class to discover she had turned on my computer and dug around, finding a few folders that were a little more than embarrassing to have to explain.

[FLASHBACK]

"Oh well you don't need that stuff now that you have me, do you?" She looked at me with lust and bounced her chest, trying to get to me. I had to divert the conversation before she started taking my clothes off. It was hard enough to get her to keep hers on.

[END FLASHBACK]

"Here it is," I said, pushing away those thoughts and coming back to reality. I opened the door to the liberal arts building for her.

"What a gentleman!" she teased. She tried to fake a curtsy as she went past but I shoved her inside. We went up a few floors before coming to a row of offices. Finding the right door, I gave a quick knock. It was followed by a "Come in! It's open!" I turned the handle and cracked the door, Thalia behind me.

"Hello? Professor Acacia?" I asked, turning my eyes on a tall, middle aged man in dress pants and a button up shirt.

"That's me. What can I do for you?" He asked. He seemed amicable enough.

"My name is Alec. This is my partner Thalia," I introduced us. I'm sure I'd pay for it later for not calling her my girlfriend, but I was trying to be more professional with the introductions for now.

"Nice to meet you both!" he said, shaking our hands.

"I had heard from a friend that you studied Pokémon-anthro-human relations and sociology, is that correct?" I asked.

"Yes, it is. My primary research focus right now is on how these species relate to each other in a socio-economic sense, and I'm particularly interested in the culture shift involved with intra-personal relationships being more accepted today than they have been in the past." he explained.

My head was spinning already. Too many big words, too little laymen terms. I looked at Thalia and could tell she barely understood a word of what he said. That's a research professor for you, I guess.

"I also did some other focuses in the past," he continued, unfazed. "One of my more famous studies was looking at how anthro Pokémon came into being, since they've been a relatively more recent addition to our society. Only the last 50 years or so, and they've only been widespread accepted in the last few decades." My ears perked up at that first bit. Thalia's eyes were still glazed over. The professor kept on, though. "That study also looked at the behaviors and mannerisms compared to people and Pokémon."

He stopped, and I think he realized that he had lost us. "Oh, I'm sorry. I realize that might have been a bit much for the uninitiated. What was it that you were interested in talking to me about again?"

I took the lead. "That last part is actually what we're both interested in. The study of anthro behaviors and personalities." I started to explain the PG version of what had happened the last few days.

"Thalia just recently… well, became an anthro Pokémon. She used to be a feral Glaceon. I've done my best to get her accustomed to life on two legs, but I admit I don't know a whole lot about anthro Pokémon. I've never really worked with any or had any friends that were, until Thalia here." I squeezed her shoulder, trying to let her know it was okay to be herself.

The professor's eyes lit up, realizing this was a teachable moment. "Well, you've come to the right person, you two. I can help fill you in on the details." He glanced at Thalia. "Although you should know, a lot of what I'm going to mention is generalization, as most field studies are. Similar to how a Pokémon's Nature doesn't necessarily dominate its personality, so too are my team's findings with anthros. What I'm trying to say, is that every anthro is unique. I'm sure this is the case for Thalia here too." He gestured to her.

Professor Acacia was giving both Thalia and I an equal amount of attention, which I could tell was pleasing her. We had learned the past few days that some people weren't comfortable around anthros, and some still treated them as if they were "dumb" Pokémon and couldn't think or understand like humans could. Thalia had taken a distinct dislike to those people, and I tended to agree with her.

"For all intents and purposes," he continued, "Anthros are just like normal humans, save for a few differences. The physical traits, obviously. But some also seem to retain the ability to use powers similar to moves that a normal Pokémon would use. Have you two noticed anything like that?" He asked.

On cue, Thalia spoke up. "Can I see your coffee mug?" she asked. I knew where this was going, but I don't think the professor did.

"Oh? Sure." He handed it over.

There was still some leftover lukewarm coffee in the mug from earlier in the morning. She waved her hand over the top and handed the professor back an iced coffee.

"W-wow! Incredible, really." He exclaimed. "To have so much control over your abilities is impressive. How long have you been working on controlling this?" He asked.

"A few days, maybe?" Thalia replied.

"Truly incredible." The professor pushed up his glasses.

I spoke up. "What else can you tell us? I tried to do some quick research online, and it seems there isn't a lot of common knowledge out on the internet."

Professor Acacia looked back to me. "Well, you'd be correct. There really hasn't been a lot of published research, and a lot of what you find online are misconceptions and assumptions. As far as what else you need to know, there are a few other oddities that anthros seem to possess that most people might not expect." When neither of us replied, he continued.

"For starters, every anthro I've met seems to have the inherent ability to communicate with both humans and Pokémon. They can understand Pokémon just fine and can talk and listen in the most common language around them. Thalia, I'm sure you've found you know quite a bit of English?" She nodded. We didn't say that we could already communicate on our own for another reason.

"I thought so. Their senses of smell and hearing are much better than a normal human's, too. Much closer to that of a Pokémon. Also, there are a few behaviors and personality intricacies. For Pokémon that have, for lack of better words, 'transformed' to become anthros, they seem to have very, very strong bonds with those they consider close. Think like a bond between a Pokémon and trainer, but on a deeper level." Thalia and I shared a knowing glance. Strong connections and understanding? Check and check.

"Lastly, and I apologize if this is awkward, but another common trait my team noticed was an increase in libido from what would be considered the level of an average person."

"That explains a lot, actually." I said accidentally, before realizing what I had revealed. The professor gave me an amused look.

"What is that supposed to mean?" She looked at me. "What does that mean?" Thalia's vocabulary must not have been that extensive yet.

I laughed. "I'll explain on our way home."

Acacia shifted and cleared his throat. "Actually, I think there may be something you might be able to help me with, if the both of you are comfortable with it." We nodded, and he added, "As you can tell, this is still a very new field of research. There are a lot of unanswered questions. If it is okay with you, can you two keep checking in with me periodically as Thalia grows accustomed to her new form? Doesn't have to be often, maybe only if there is something interesting that you think I should know."

I looked at Thalia. She shrugged at me. "If she's ok with it, I am."

"Excellent! Here, let me give you my card. It has my phone on it in case you need it or think of more questions." He fished a business card out of his desk and handed it to me. It had the sigil of the university on it along with his contact info. "If you discover anything exciting, please reach out."

"Thanks for the help, professor." I said, standing up to leave.

"Yeah, thank you." Thalia added.

With that we left the professor to enjoy the rest of his afternoon.

"I hope he likes iced coffee." I joked to Thalia as we walked away. She snickered.

We were almost back from our adventure to go talk with Professor Acacia. It was, well, enlightening to say the least. I took the long way through the residential building for an extra stop on the way home.

"Where we going now?" Thalia asked, hanging on to me.

"Detour. Have to visit someone to return something before we get home."

I stopped at Sanjay's door. It was open, and he had some electrical equipment hooked up to his computer on his desk. He was engrossed in reading the signals shown on the screen.

I gave a light knock on the door. "Hey? SJ?" He turned around when he realized he had a visitor.

"Hey Alec! What's up man?"

I pulled out the small translator he gave me not too long ago. "Hey dude. I came to return this to you." I tossed it over to him.

It took him a second to realize what it was. "Oh! Yeah, was it ok? Is there something wrong with it?"

"Huh? No! No, it worked great actually." He smiled at the praise. "Yeah, I just won't be needing it anymore. You should seriously patent that shit though, it was perfect."

"Oh! Ok, sweet I'm glad it was useful." He seemed confused why I didn't need it. "Everything ok? That Pokémon still living with you?"

"Hmm? Oh, no, actually."

"Oh. Well alright, then. That reminds me, I meant to talk to you about that, actually. The university wants to give you another roommate. Something about tight spacing."

"Oh, really?" I must have looked worried because Sanjay gave me a scrutinizing look. I had to think of something quick, or Thalia and I might have to start sharing our room, and I'm sure neither of us would like that. "Well, if it's alright, I think I actually found another roommate."

"Is that so? Would that roommate be the owner of the blue ears peeking over your shoulder?" He looked amused.

I turned to see Thalia sneaking a look past the door threshold. I pulled her into his room. "Yeah. SJ, this is Thalia. Is it ok if she lives with me? She kinda… well, already has been for about a week. Sorry for not clearing it with you."

He laughed. "I mean, it's ok with me. I might need to see if I can swing a few things to make the school ok with it on paper, but for now you're good. Nice to meet you, Thalia." She waved and smiled at him.

"Nice, thanks man. RA of the year right here." I flashed him a thumbs up.

"Haha, I don't know about that one! But I like you, you're chill. You don't cause me problems like some others around here."

"Alright, well we'll catch you around I guess." I turned to go, Thalia in front of me.

"Oh, and Alec?" Sanjay called before I closed his door behind us. I stuck my head back in. "Try not to make too much noise, got it?" He winked at me.

I rolled my eyes and shut his door as he laughed at me.

Thalia was the first one in my door and walked over to the futon, falling face first into it. "Aaahhhh…" she sighed into a pillow.

I chuckled in her direction. "Now you know why I'm always so drained after a day of classes, huh?"

"Yeah, being responsible is hard work," she said.

"Tell me about it." I walked over and laid down next to her, wrapping my arms around her. I gave her a quick kiss on the back of her neck.

"Mmmmm," she responded. "That was nice."

"Ha, I bet." I gave her another one for good measure. She sighed again and pushed back into me, very content. "Y'know, I was thinking about what else would be nice, since I don't have a lot of work tonight."

"Hmm. I can think of a few things. How about you pound me so hard I can't walk tomorrow?" she said, with the usual zero filter. She looked at me with what I assumed was supposed to be lusty puppy dog eyes, but it didn't really work for her.

"Ugh. You're relentless, at least let me take you to dinner first," I sighed.

"I was kidding! Well, actually no, I wasn't. I'm a needy girl and I need your attention. Anyway, what were you going to say?" she asked.

"I was serious. Let's go out to dinner, somewhere nice instead of dorm food. We can clean up a bit first, and you'll have to wear my clothes. But it'll be fun, what do you think?"

"Sure, I'd love to!" She squirmed around until she was facing me. "Buuuuu-uuut you better hold up the other end of the deal." She pulled me close and kissed me again. "Because I am so ready for you in this form."

"Yeah, and I'm sure you wouldn't let me sleep until I do."

"You know it," and she pulled me back in for another deep kiss.

A/N: Enjoy :)

A/N pt 2: So, I was perusing some of my past reviews the other day….

And I noticed a handful of people worried with the direction in which the story was going. Lots of "I hope Thalia doesn't turn into a human" kind of worries. And well, that's not quite what happened… but I can still see some people being upset about the whole anthro introduction thing. So, I'm here to apologize for disappointing those folks, I guess? I will say that when I started this story checks watch five years ago (!), the general evolution of the plotline from this chapter was always intended like this. When I began it, in my mind I had Thalia turning into an anthro after a few chapters (also all my other stories are based on anthros, so idk why anyone is surprised). So, yeah, sorry if the direction of this turns you off to it. But it's what I want to write, soooooooo that's what I'm going to write.
