Here's the last chapter. Sorry it took a while to post even though it's short, but I've had finals (only 2 exams left now).

That night, Virgil sat alone in his bedroom, trying to fall asleep, though it was evading him. Today's conversation had been a lot, so even though he hadn't said that much, he was exhausted. But even still, he couldn't give in to slumber.
He couldn't stop thinking about something Remus told them.
Remus said that Janus hadn't known he would come back the first time he died.
And that… that was scary. It meant that Janus had, at some point, intended to die with the expectation it would be permanent. He hadn't known he would come back, so as far as Janus had known, that really would have been the end.
It was a good thing that the mindscape didn't allow it, then.
Virgil sighed, rolling up one of his hoodie sleeves.
He hadn't been completely honest with his reasoning for why he thought Janus was a danger to himself. The reasons he gave were part of it, yes, but he really got the idea because he had been there. Really, the fear of not knowing what would happen if he went too far was what kept him from doing the same thing, back then.
Now, he had his friends, and that even included Janus again. Maybe it could include Remus again, too.
Virgil was okay now. Or at least, a lot better.
He hadn't done it in a while, and the scars were beginning to fade. He got better. He healed.
Maybe they could too.
