AN: I uhhh...have terrible attention span. I'm over here "Need to update X story, it's been a while" but my brain "Haha new story idea go brrrr"

Side note, while I try not to just type up whole canon scenes as that tends to get repetitive especially when you read as many different stories as I do. Though I do try to change up the words when I do. But on the other hand just avoiding canon dialogue feels like you're just speed running reading. So I try to do a bit of both. Idk just felt like I should say it.

The second day at UA was the official start to their classes. Luckily enough for the two teens Endeavor had already left for the day by the time they headed off to school. Fukō had hoped her words the day before had irritated the man enough to where they would not have a repeat the next day. Either that or Endeavor was needed at his agency at an earlier time.

As they had the day before, Shouto and Fukō were some of the first students to arrive. The desks soon filled up and the school day officially started. Lessons were those of any normal high school class. The morning classes were those of a more standard curriculum. As the years before, most of the information was similar to Fukō's schooling in her previous life. Not to say that she had a perfect memory, but many lessons would jog her memory on many subjects. On the plus side that did allow her to put more focus into history classes. It was interesting to see how similar the history of her current and past worlds were; the current only having minor differences despite the addition of quirks.

One thing was for sure, Fukō was not looking forward to going through high school a second time. Elementary and junior high were not too bad considering she could remember the majority of lessons from her first life. High school on the other hand gave her more of a hard time the first time around. At least this time she had something of a head start, though even that seemed to be evened out with the different historical events. Then there was their English class with which Fukō was fluent in.

Soon enough, though, their morning classes gave way to lunch time. Shouto and herself took their seats at a lone table by themselves. The boy's tray consisted of cold soba with a cup of tea, as was usual for the teen. It always gave her a chuckle to see him eat it no matter the season. In a similar fashion Fukō had her own plate of hot tempura soba. It certainly made it easier at home when she made the two of them food. Though depending on the season she would eat her own soba hot or cold.

The two of them remained alone throughout the lunch period. Other students were deterred either by Shouto's cold demeanor or Fukō's dead stare. "What do you suppose we'll be doing for our hero class?" She asked between bites.

Shouto gave a long slurp before answering. "No doubt something to do with heroics." Fukō turned her head to face the boy. Despite Shouto's stunted social skill his sarcasm seemed to be unaffected. His quietness often made her forget how much of a little shit he actually was. It was the quiet ones you had to watch out for after all. Being in his teenage years only seemed to make it worse, or better depending on which side you were on. Fukō was pretty sure her own personality had rubbed off on him as well. Said teen returned her stare as he slurped up more noodles. One thing was for sure, even with his terrible social skills Shouto's delivery with lines was impeccable.

"What am I going to do with you."

"Continue to put up with me I suppose."

"Evidently." Fukō turned her attention back onto her meal, but not before catching a glimpse of the slight smirk on Shouto's face.

Lunch soon came to an end and the two of them returned to their classroom alongside the rest of their classmates. The excitement in the air was thick as everyone was looking forward to this class. Fukō sent a slightly worried glance over towards Shouto. More than likely they would get their hero outfits today and well...she secretly hoped the boy had not submitted the design he had first shown her. It just did not look good to her, at all. And that was taking her own fashion sense into consideration with all the skulls and whatnot. Fukō had tried to talk him out of it and even considered some other designs, but the boy was too set on denying the fire aspect of his own quirk. Luckily the school allowed for changes to their outfits should they choose to.

Soon enough the door to their classroom was flung open as All Might marched inside to stand at the front. The bubble of excitement from the rest of the class seemed to pop as everyone started to talk amongst each other either commenting on the fact that All Might was to be their teacher or on his costume. Fukō herself was neutral on the matter. In her past life she had not been one to idolize celebrities or the like. In this life, though, while she did not idolize heroes either she could certainly appreciate the work they did. She knew how much work had to be put into training and using one's quirk. That on top of the fact that heroes were out there risking their lives to do so gave her even more appreciation of them. But at the end of the day they were still all just people trying to live their own lives.

"Welcome to the most important class at UA High. Think of it as 'Hero-ing 101'. Here you will learn the basics of being a pro. And what it means to fight in the name of good! Let's get into it. Today's lesson will pull no punches!" All Might held up a card in front of them with the word 'Battle' on it. "But one of the keys of being a hero is," He pressed a button on a remote and the wall off to the side opened up with a series of silver briefcases, each displaying a different number. "Looking good! These were designed for you based on your quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started. Get yourselves suited up and then meet me at training ground beta!"

The rest of the class hastily left their seats to grab their assigned cases. Shouto and Fukō remained seated for a bit longer, choosing to wait for the bulk of the crowd to disperse before grabbing their own. As she had done the day before, Fukō opened her backpack to allow Jizō out to reform. The two of them followed along with their respective groups to head to the locker rooms. Fukō sent one last worrying glance towards Shouto's retreating figure into the boy's locker room before entering the girl's locker room with Jizō hovering just behind her.

The teen quickly changed into the all black outfit that was inside her case. It mostly consisted of a set of black pants and long sleeve shirt. Both articles of clothing made of a tough yet flexible material. The shirt covered her neck and all the way to her wrists, where a pair of gloves would cover her hands. The pants had a series of pockets with which she could fill with first-aid supplies. Fukō did not know much when it came to fabrics, but requested the pieces be made up of a material that would hold tight to her skin and stop any blood flow should she decide to use her own bones. A pair of grip gloves and steeled-toed boots were underneath the shirt and pants. On top of everything had sat a set of bones she had sent in along with the request form. Fukō took the deer skull and placed it atop her head. The skull covered everything but the back of her head, allowing her hair to fall freely down her back. The bird skeleton that usually kept her hair together sat patiently on the bench beside her case. The other bones inside her case consisted of a set of claws that would sit atop her gloves and boots. Jizō separated and attached its various bones to the rest of her body in the same fashion as she had on the first day. Its two heads hovered by her shoulders. The last thing in her case was a tattered cloak that covered one side of her body and ended just above her knees.

The skeletal bird flew up from the bench to roost atop one of her antlers. Fukō cocked her head to the side as she looked down at her covered hands. Fingers curling inward as she clenched her fists, listening to the clicking of the bones. The spine-tail that hung from her back swung back and forth in excitement.

After putting the rest of her belongings into a locker Fukō left the girls locker room, walking past the rest of the girls who were finishing up changing. She met up with Shouto in the hall. Though he could not see it through the deer skull, Fukō's face was one of disdain. However, that did not stop her from letting it be known. "Shouto tell me you didn't." She gestured to his hero outfit with her hands.

"I have?" Shouto responded in a confused tone not understanding what she meant. Fukō narrowed her eyes as she mentally sighed.

"Just...forget it. Let's get to class." The girl took a hold of his hand with her own, pulling the two of them over to the rest of their class as they all headed over to the training grounds. The skeletal bird flew down from its perch on Fukō's antlers, instead coming to rest on Shouto's right shoulder.

At the training grounds was All Might, having arrived there before the students. "They say that clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentlemen, and behold, you are the proof! Take this to heart. From now on you are all heroes in training!" Fukō glanced around at the rest of her class, taking in each and every costume and how they seemed to showcase not only each teen's quirk but their personalities as well. As Fukō looked around she caught the eye of another student, Tokoyami. The two of them held eyes for just a couple of seconds, but seemed to share a knowing look between the both of them. After they broke eye contact Fukō made a mental note to get to know the rest of her classmates. Her own world was not very big anyways, with having grown up alongside Shouto the two of them had spent their entire childhood training. That in itself left no time for much of anything else, thanks to Endeavor at least. The man had set his youngest son on a one-way path with the intent of reaching the destination poste-haste, never allowing any room for error. Ironically, Fukō's mind would often wander to that day in the hospital when she first met the man. "Okay, but do you know how to take care of a kid?" That single sentence would often come forth to the front of her mind. To which she would later find out the answer being 'no'.

"Now that you're ready it's time for combat training."

"Sir, this is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean that we'll be conducting urban battles again?" Iida spoke up from his spot at the front of the group.

"Close. We'll actually be going two steps ahead of that. Most villain fights you see on the news take place outdoors. However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly villains take place indoors. Think about it. Backroom deals, home invasions, underground lairs. The most intelligent of criminals stay hidden in the shadows and in the background. That's why in this class we will be conducting indoor mock hero versus villain battles in teams of two."

"That seems a little advanced."

"The best training is the training you receive on the battlefield! But this time you can't just punch a robot. You'll be fighting actual people."

"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?"

"How much can we beat up the other team?"

"Are we going to get expelled if we lose?"

"But we have an odd number of students!"

"Are we being split up based on our quirks or our skills?"

Various students began to ask questions at once. Fukō watched All Might grow somewhat annoyed at having not been able to finish explaining. The teen had a feeling the hero has not worked with kids much.

"Listen up!" All Might's booming voice quieted the rest of the questions. "The situation is this. The villains have a bomb hidden somewhere in their hideout. It is up to the heroes to determine the location of the bomb and stop the villains. In order for the heroes to win they must either apprehend the villains or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys win by protecting the bomb or if they capture the heroes instead. Time is limited so we'll choose teams by drawing lots."

"Isn't there a better way to go about this?"

"Think about it, pros often have to team up with other heroes from other agencies on the spot. So that's probably why we're seeing that here." Midoriya spoke up, answering Iida's question.

"I see, please continue."

"No worries, time to draw." All Might held up a box from which the class was to draw from. As before in the classroom, Fukō and Shouto remained towards the back, drawing from their lots last. Fukō went to draw her own after Shouto. "Ah yes, young Kōun. Since you are the last to draw I'll give you two options. Option A, you can be a third person to a team against a team of two. Or option B, we can see who is able to go a second time to team with you as well as against you."

"I see." The teen thought to herself for a moment. Becoming a third member could potentially overpower one side. Which is not too far off from actual events that happen, as sometimes the heroes or even villains may be outnumbered. On the other hand, what if there were not three people able enough to go a second time? "All Might?"

"Yes?"

"What if I went alone against a team?"

"Alone? I wouldn't underestimate your classmates young Kōun."

"I'm not sir. Technically speaking I have two other's with me so going alone would be balancing the scales. Also if I'm going last we don't know if that many people will be able to go again depending on how their own fights go."

All Might stood in silence for a few seconds, thinking over Fukō's suggestion. "I see. Alright then, it'll be a one on two situation! Now, moving on." All Might brought forward two new boxes, one labeled as 'Villain' the other with 'Hero'. "I declare the first teams to fight will be...these two teams!" From each box he pulled out a ball, one labeled with 'D' the other 'A'. "Team A will be the heroes and Team D will be the villains. Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch."

The rest of the class started walking off towards the designated building. Fukō and Shouto fell in line beside each other once again as they all headed inside. "You must hold a lot of faith in your quirk to volunteer your turn alone." Tokoyami slowed his walk ever so slightly to get close to her, standing by her right side. The girl could feel Shouto's curious stare as he stood by her left, listening in to what the other boy said.

"That as well as the fact that I'm not truly alone." Fukō held out her hand, allowing the skeletal bird to land on her palm after it left Shouto's shoulder, its skull staring up at her own covered face. Her words held the barest hint of something more. Though no one there but Shouto knew what those words truly meant. Tokoyami's eyes left her face. Instead moving to stare at the bird in her hand then at the two skulls floating just above their heads. Even though the other teen did not know her tragic past he could feel a sort of kinship with her. Tokoyami did not respond, but merely nodded instead and turned his attention to the large screen before them.

After another couple of minutes All Might joined them. Together they all watched from various views as the two teams fought each other. The hero explained how the teams were given the capture tape and that they must finish the fight before the fifteen minute timer ended. The first round was intense for sure. Especially with the apparent one-sided rivalry between Bakugo and Midoriya. As the battle ramped up to an intense level a few of the other students tried to convince All Might to stop the fight. Just as it seemed things were about to get way out of hand, Uraraka landed on top of the weapon, earning a victory for the hero team. An unconscious Midoriya was carted off to Recovery Girl as the class went over the first round.

It was now time for the second round. Shouto's Team B was to be the heroes against Team I as the villains. "I'll be watching." Fukō told Shouto as he passed by her.

The rest of the class watched through the cameras as the villains set up inside the building while the heroes waited outside. The teen felt a new presence by her side. Fukō turned her head to see Yaoyorozu standing beside her. "The two of you seem pretty close. Did you attend junior high together?" The other teen spoke up first.

"Technically yes, but we mainly grew up together."

"I see. Were your parents' close friends?"

"Shouto's father took me in at a young age."

Yaoyorozu was silent at first as the words clicked together in her mind. "Oh! I'm so sorry. That must've seemed insensitive of me." The girl turned to face her, bowing slightly.

"No it's okay. You didn't know. Besides it was a long time ago." Fukō placed a gentle hand onto Yaoyarozu's shoulder, bringing her to stand up straight.

"I'm assuming it was Todoroki's father that gave you a recommendation as well?" In an attempt to change the subject, Yaoyorozu continued with her questions.

"Would've looked bad on him otherwise."

"Oh." Fukō's quip hit the teen unexpectedly as she did not ask another question. The timer for the next round started. The class watched the heroes enter the building, only for Shoji to exit moments later and the whole building became engulfed in ice. With the villain team effectively frozen in place, Shouto was able to walk right up to the weapon, gaining another victory for the hero side. Fukō, used to Shouto's quirk, seemed to be one of the only ones in the room not shivering in place. Once both teams returned to the room the class once again went over the fight.

Finally, it came time for Fukō's turn. "Alright! As before let's draw lots to determine who young Kōun will be going against. Those who are willing to go again step forward and draw!" About half of the class chose to try and go again. Then All Might drew from the hero and villain boxes. "The newly dubbed Team J will be the heroes against young Kōun as the villain. The bad guy will get five minutes of prep time before the heroes try to stop you." Fukō would be going up against Kirishima and Hagakure. It seemed fitting as both had previously had their try at villains and were now getting to be the heroes.

Once inside the new building she had Jizō's arms separate from her person to lift the weapon, taking it up to the middle floor. The arms then reattached themselves on top of her clothes. As soon as All Might announced the start of the round Fukō sent the two skulls out and further into the building, while her bird flew outside. It proceeded to circle the building, specifically around the windows. Fukō stood still beside the bomb, her head only having the slightest movements to it as she watched through the eyeless sockets of the three skulls.

No doubt the invisible girl would try to sneak around as she had attempted to during Shouto's match. Unfortunately for her Fukō could still tell where the other girl was without seeing her. As for Kirishima… The pair of arms that sat atop her arm separated from her once again. This time they attached themselves along the top of her spine-tail. The extra pair of arms hovering alongside her own.

Hagakure stood just outside the room peeking inside. The teen turned to head back down to Kirishima, intending to inform him where the weapon was hidden. Instead, the girl let out a scream as a skull suddenly invaded her vision. The pair of arms that encircled Fukō's waist shot out, quickly wrapping the capture tape around the stunned teen. "Hagakure!" Kirishima's concerned shout could be heard from somewhere within the building. The boy rushed up the stairs and towards where he heard the scream.

"Sorry…" The girl apologized from where she now sat on the floor. The only indication of her presence being the tape around her torso.

"No worries, I'll finish this!" Kirishima rushed into the room at Fukō. Hardened arms reached out in an attempt to subdue the girl. Just before he could reach, the arms still on her shot out. Bony fingers entwined themselves against Kirishima's own hardened ones, effectively stopping him in place. He clenched his hands tighter in the hopes of crushing the skeletal hands.

"You shouldn't rush into things without thinking them through. And besides, you're not going to be breaking those bones anytime soon as they're much stronger than normal bones." Fukō's calm tone broke the silence.

"Then I'll just have to move you!" Kirishima pushed against the arms, causing Fukō to slide ever so slightly backwards.

"Can't move when you don't have any traction." Before the boy could ask what she meant he was slowly lifted into the air. The bones detached themselves from the spine as they lifted him higher off the ground. At this point he was trying to let go off the arms, but their grip held firm. The second set of arms reappeared with the capture tape still in hand and began to circle him.

"The villain team wins!" All Might's voice announced over the intercom. Kirishima was slowly placed back onto the floor and both pairs of arms returned to their place on her body. The skulls and the bird returned as well, with the bird once again perching on her antlers while the skulls hovered above her shoulders.

"Ah man I didn't stand a chance once again." Hagakure dejectedly sighed while she removed the tape from around her body.

"Yeah you didn't even flinch when I came at you."

"This is only the second day. There'll be plenty more chances for you two to prove your worth. Besides, don't measure yourselves on how far ahead others are. You'll bloom when you're ready." With that, Fukō headed back to meet up with the rest of the class, leaving a stunned Hagakure and Kirishima behind.

"Good job you three!" All Might greeted them upon reentering. "As far as strategy goes the hero team had a decent one. Other than the hero rushing in after seeing his teammate incapacitated. However, it seems the villain was still able to outsmart them."

"It looked like Kōun could tell where Hagakure was without being able to see her."

"Unless there was something else going on."

"Yes young Kōun how could you tell?"

"I was walking so quietly too!"

"I couldn't see or hear her." Fukō confirmed. "I could feel where her bones were though."

"I see…" All Might was not sure how to respond as the statement unnerved not only him but most of the class as well. "Anyways. Great job today everyone. We didn't have any major injuries other than Midoriya. Now, I want you to think about your actions today and, for those that won, how they helped in achieving your win, or for those that lost how you can improve."

"Thanks for the encouraging words. They're nice to hear after our homeroom class." Asui spoke up, with many others nodding their heads in agreement.

"I'm glad that I can bring you all some positivity! Great job today all. I should probably go check on young Midoriya. Now watch how a real pro exits!" With that All Might ran off leaving a flurry of wind in his wake.
