As Alexis is in a carriage with Star and Moon she then sees something red in her bag and pulls it out revealing to be a hoodie.
"Is that Marco's hoodie?" Star asks as Alexis nods.
"I guess I threw it in my bag by accident when I was rushing to get packed." Alexis says.
"Oh Marco yuck! When was the last time you washed this thing?!" Star says as she sniffs the air near the hoodie.
"Star! We need to be quiet! We don't know who might be listening." Moon says scolding.
"Sorry Mom. Sorry." Star says.
"It's okay. Can you check on the Commission?" Moon asks as Star checks on the Commission through the wand.
"Yeah they seem... okay." Star says.
"Once we're at the Sanctuary the Well of Magic should be able to rejuvenate them." Moon says.
"And Lekmet's gonna meet us there?" Star asks.
"Yes he'll meet us there." Moon says.
"Okay great. So what's up with that warnicorn?" Star asks as the warnicorn disappears in a puff of smoke.
"What?" Moon asks as the carriage begins to go out of control.
"What's going on?" Alexis asks.
"It's the fritz! It's causing all magic to... to weaken and... fade. It's okay. We're all right as long as we have this magical path to guide us. I guess we're setting up camp." Moon says as the group land on a path before Moon gets frustrated with trying to make a fire.
"I got this one Mom." Star says as she goes to use her wand before Moon wrestles with her in attempt to stop her.
"Stop! It's corrupted!" Moon shouts.
"What? No, no, no. It's fine! Don't worry about it. It does this all the time. Glossaryck never cared." Star says.
"Glossaryck isn't here and ugh and he's probably not coming back." Moon says as Alexis and Star look at her.
"Wait. What do you mean?" Alexis asks.
"Toffee has Glossaryck and your wand seems tainted by his magic as well. It's the same magic I saw when I fought Ludo. Now let's start a fire and we'll head for the Sanctuary in the morning. There must be some helpful in here. Uh did your father pack this with nothing but... Did your father teach you that?" Moon asks as she notices Alexis has a fire started.
"Nope. Marco did. He taught me and Star quite a bit of stuff." Alexis says before Moon stomps the fire out with her foot.
"Wha— Mom!" Star shouts.
"Shh-shh-shh! It looks like they're just scouts. We'll let them—" Moon then gets cut off by Star as the group sees mice sniffing the area.
"Mom, Alexis check it out!" Star says as she gestures to her wand glowing green.
"Star! No!" Moon shouts alerting the mice before Alexis shifts to wolf form and chases the mice off.
"Star, Alexis we need to get out of here immediately. I can't believe you would be so foolish as to...The High Commission!" Moon shouts as a mouse releases the High Commission's balloons before the group chases after them.
"Where did they go?" Alexis asks as she looks around.
"They're right there." Star says as the group sees the High Commission is tangled in a high tree littered with dead animals and skeletons.
"This is gonna take a while." Alexis says.
*Timeskip*
Later as the group gets the High Commission free they then see a building in the distance.
"The Sanctuary!" Moon shouts as the group goes over to the building before an alligator creature appears.
"Is it like a little Sanctuary guardian?" Star asks.
"No. He's the gatekeeper." Moon says as she begins communicating with the creature.
"She's lost her marbles." Star says as Alexis nods in agreement before the creature lets the group in the building.
"Whoa." Alexis says as she and star look around.
"Look at all the Glossarycks." Star says in amazement.
"Yes girls. The queens of Mewni have been coming here for generations." Moon says.
"What now?" Star asks as Moon rotates a valve releasing three large flowers from in a pool.
"All right. Let's get the Commission into their pods so we can revive them." Moon says.
"On it." Alexis says as she and Star begin tying the High Commission to the flowers.
"All right. I'm going to open the Wellspring. Stand clear." Moon says before she releases a valve that delivers liquid to the flowers.
"Is that stuff supposed to be all black and goopy like that?" Alexis asks as she looks at the liquid.
"No it's not!" Moon says as she quickly shuts the valve off.
"Oh I feel like that's not how it's supposed to look." Star says as the group climbs to the top of the well.
"It's worse than I'd feared." Moon says as Alexis and Star look at her.
"Mom?" Alexis asks curiously.
"We'll have to go with plan B." Moon says.
"All right. Plan B. What's plan B?" Star asks.
"We'll talk about that after we get settled in." Moon says.
"Uh Mom? If the well is messed up how are we going to revive the Magic High Commission?" Star asks.
"We don't need to worry about that right now Star. This sanctuary is very well hidden. Now do you want creamed corn or corned cream?" Moon asks as she pushes a bush aside to reveal a vending machine.
"What?" Star asks.
"To eat. Generations of Butterflys have come here in times of danger. We'll be safe for as long as it takes. Now, do you have any change?" Moon asks.
"Wait so we're just going to hide? That's your plan B? That's a terrible plan B!" Star shouts.
"Your safety is my priority right now." Moon says sternly.
"Uh Alexis and I didn't blow up our whole lives just so you could give up! Come on. We could track those rats back to Toffee and end this whole thing!" Star says angrily.
"Even if the Magical High Commission was okay,we still wouldn't be strong enough to defeat Toffee. Our best bet is to lay low until the situation changes." Moon says sternly.
"You lied to us." Alexis say as Star paces away before Alexis follows her.
"What are you doing?" Moon asks.
"What else have you lied about Mom? I bet Lekmet isn't even meeting us here!" Star shouts angrily.
"Lekmet is dead Star. And it could happen to us too. Toffee won't stop until he finds this!" Moon says as she reveals Toffee's finger in a vial.
"Did you take that from my closet? And you're just carrying it around?" Star asks in disgust.
"It's too dangerous to do anything but stay." Moon says sternly.
"So we're just gonna do nothing? Well I can't do that." Alexis says sternly.
"Alexis is right. This has to mean something!" Star says as she holds up the wand.
"No Star! The wands are linked! He'll find us!" Moon shouts fearfully.
"Oh like he won't find us with you carrying his finger around! I defeated him once! I can do it again! Fantastic Exit Beam!" Star shouts.
"Star stop!" Moon shouts.
"Why?! What happened to cool warrior queen Mom?!" Star shouts as she and Alexis look at moon angrily.
"I was never a cool warrior queen Star. I was a happy-go-lucky girl like you. And then Toffee and his monsters killed my mother but unlike Alexis I was never given the chance to have another mother figure in my life." Moon shouts as she tears up.
"What?" Alexis asks.
"I thought you sent Grandma to a grandma farm to hang out with other grandmas." Star says in confusion.
"Oh Star." Moon says.
"Will you tell us? Please?" Alexis asks curiously.
"I was about your age when it happened. I didn't know what to do, so I spoke to Eclipsa." Moon says as the group sits down.
"Eclipsa? But she's been dead for hundreds of years!" Star says in surprise.
"No. Eclipsa's alive. And I made a deal with her." Moon says as Alexis and Star give surprised looks.
