Recap : Kazuma slayed Sylvia, Yun-yun and Iris participated in Village Chief Trails

We left off when, Kazuma saw three girls waiting for Chris and him. Two of the three were Iris and Yun-yun and the third one had a familiar face from Axel.

I approached them to ask about how the trials went and Chris followed me. I wasn't actually worried, I had sent Iris along her so no matter what, they had to complete the trails with ease. I trust my little sister a lot.

I spoke up, " Megumin, what brings you here? And how did the trails went, two of you? ".

Yes, for some reason Megumin decided to show up after a long time. We had an argument last time we met, we tried to convince her to learn other spells. I wonder did she do it or did she ignored our advice.

Megumin was about to say something when she got interrupted by Iris, " Onee-chan, the trials were boring. We cleared them too quickly. The monsters were so weak too, I was disappointed ", as expected from my little sister, I thought.

Megumin spoke, " Yun-yun is my childhood friend so I decided to check on her since she always wanted to become a village Chief and now the trails has started ".

Yun-yun said in a sad tone, " Kazuma, I am sorry. Since, I now have become the Village Chief, I have to stay in my village. I have to abandon your party. I don't know what to do anymore ", that makes sense. I would prefer that she goes after her dreams.

I spoke up, " Oi, you don't need to worry about us. You should become the Village Chief ". I would miss her sure, but I can handle things, I am pretty sure.

I looked at the explosion loli and asked, " So what have you been doing lately? Have you changed your mind and learned other spells? ".

She showed me her adventure card while not looking at me. I was actually surprised, she had learnt other spells. She took our advice. I am really happy for her that she did that.

She spoke, " Kazuma, I have been going on some quests lately for money. I am still not in a party, would you let me join yours since Yun-yun will have to leave ". It was a pretty good offer but I am not sure yet.

I replied, " I may accept you, if Yun-yun decides to become the village chief ". I also asked Chris and Iris to return to yun-yun's home since they didn't have any part in this conversation.

We chatted around quite a bit, trying to convince yun-yun to become the Village Chief. It took us a long time to convince her but I managed to do it finally. She has decided to become the next chief now.

I am really glad for her, she told her father about the decision and there was a celebration party for the new chief. The atmosphere was pretty nice, it was a full moon with a clear sky.

Everyone was drinking and having fun but, I sneaked out and went towards the forest alone. I felt like someone was following me but I ignored it since I was too tired. I am just stressed about what will happen when we return to the capital.

I decided to lay down in an open area in the forest, gazing at the stars while also having enemy detect on as always. I have my enemy detect on passive mode always.

A small figure approached me and layed beside and said, " Onee-chan, you don't need to be worried. I will manage everything in the capital ". Seriously, this girl. How does she always know my feelings. Is she a goddess or what, wait I know a goddess and she can't do stuff like that, anyways...

I spoke, " Why did you followed me here? "

" I was worried about my onee-chan, I know he can deal with any monster but he is not good dealing with stress "

I looked at her and then started gazing at the stars while slowly closing my eyes and said in a soft tone, " Iris, if I fall asleep here, would you protect me? "

" I will do anything for you "

I closed my eyes to relax, it felt much better to close my eyes when suddenly, my enemy detect picked up some senses. There is a single enemy around us. I got up suddenly and said, " Iris, prepare yourself. There is an enemy nearby ".

Iris was confused seeing my swift moments and then suddenly took a stance at my words. I was bare handed, I didn't bring my weapons. The enemy suddenly threw something at us which exploded. I was sent flying back and Iris landed further back, much more injured.

I quickly equipped myself from the sacred armor and Excalibur. I ran towards Iris, picked her up in my arms and started running. The enemy kept throwing explosions at us, which I blocked using scared barrier.

I couldn't fight him because of Iris, I didn't want to take risk. I used sacred heal on her already to heal her, was just waiting for her to gain senses.

She woke up and flushed seeing me carry her bride style but quickly gain senses and said, " Onee-chan, you can let me down. I am ready to fight ".

I let her down and prepared to fight that thing. It shot three explosions which I blocked by sacred barrier. I got a little look at her, it seems like a robot to me. I tried to swing at it with Sacred Sword but it missed, this thing is too fast.

We kept trying to hit it, I used sacred sword a whole bunch of times while countering it's explosion by sacred barrier. Iris couldn't do much than take cover behind me.

This battle was going to never end, if we kept going. I just got an crazy idea, so I asked Iris, " Do you trust me? ", she replied, " Yes, I trust you onee-chan but why are you asking this all of a sudden ". I just simply smiled and didn't say much.

I started chanting and picked her up and grab me as tight as possible, which she did without hesitation. I used create wind on my feet to push me above, I gained some height and I increased the power of my magic which allowed to gain some serious height.

I could see that robot standing just below us, not sure what to do. I shot explosion at it, I have been holding my explosion for all this while. The robot ran as he saw me release my explosion but, unlucky for him. I wiped one-fourth of the forest with my explosion while doing some damage to the village walls as well.

I was hovering pretty high up but could still feel the height, I wonder what the villagers are thinking after an explosion with such destruction force.

I started to loose control, mainly because I shot explosion which created imbalance in the surface and the air. I started to fall, while still trying to break my fall with create wind. Iris hugged me really tight and said, " Onee-chan do something, I know you can do it ".

I was about to hit the ground but had broken the speed by a lot by my magic. We hit the ground, I took the damage from our fall while trying to protect her as much as possible. I landed pretty hard on the ground and used sacred heal and magic room before losing conscious.

I woke in the bed, Iris was sitting next to me holding my hands. Megumin, Yun-yun and her parents, Chris all were standing there as well. I tried to get up which I did without any problem since I used magic to heal myself already. Iris said while crying, " Why did you do something so risky, what would have happened if something had gone wrong? "

I gave her a smile and said, " You told me that you trust me so nothing could go wrong if a person as smart as you believes in me ", I rubbed off the tears and she gave me a smile.

Others asked me various question like, how did I not take any damage even after that great fall, what was that explosion for, why was I even in the air and some more questions which I simply ignored.

I checked my card to see what was that creature which I killed last night, it was written Bomber Majin. I wonder what is it still, name sound not half bad even though it was related to Crimson Demons.

I went out to see what's going on, turns out I ruined the party last night by such a big explosions, even drunkards woke up and rushed to the area. I was given many names because of that incident, Explozuma, the one with Explosions and some other weird names.

Everyone started to think, I am some kind of big shot because of that explosion. I visited the place where we were last night, Iris was following me as usual. It wasn't a forest anymore, I turned it into a huge crater.

I asked Iris who was following me, " What do you think of this place Iris? "

" Huh? "

" Nothing "

I simple looked back at the crater and used " create earth " to try to fill the huge crater. Since, I have used create element quite a lot, I was really efficient with it. I filled the huge crater, nearly one-fourth of the forest in couple of minutes. It drained like 60-70% of my mana.

I went back to the village with Iris to meet the chief, I told him that I have filled the crater, you can just re-plant the trees again. He was shocked after hearing that so he went to check it out with a bunch of other peoples.

He returned and said, " What are you ", I smiled at that question and said, " Who knows, maybe Eris-sama knows". I went with Iris on a little walk.

Everything seems peaceful, yun-yun has become the chief, she is getting teased by her friends, megumin is also enjoying coming back to the village, Chris went away somewhere, maybe she had some Goddess work, you know.

I asked Iris, " Want to go to the forest on a little trip, since this is your last day outside of the castle? ", she nodded in agreement.

We enjoyed the view, I was walking around with her. We climbed a little hill in the forest to enjoy the view. It was really peaceful, I decided to lay down on the hill and Iris did so as well.

We relaxed and returned back to the village by evening, and I decided to meet Megumin. She was talking with some friends, when I interrupted them, " Megumin, are you going to join my party? "

Her friends went silent and megumin replied, " I would love to, thanks for letting me join ".

When, I asked this question, for some reason Iris seemed jealous. I ignored her and chatted around for a bit. We ate at yun-yun's home and we were heading to our rooms to get some rest.

Yun-yun's mother told me and yun-yun to sleep together and Iris and Chris to sleep together which we agreed to but only to swap later. I ended up with Iris and Yun-yun ended up with Chris.

I was laying on the bed with Iris next to me, the temperature was pretty low. I tried to look for a blanket but found nothing. I asked Iris, " Have you seen any blanket? ", she replied, " No, I am also looking for one ".

I wonder how they don't even have a blanket even after having a mansion. I asked Iris, " It's really cold, do you have solution? ".

She didn't say anything and just cuddled really close to me. I could feel her warm breath at my chest and her hand was on my hand. I hugged her and went to sleep.

Next morning, I woke up to find, we are in the same position but my friends were standing and staring at us. Chris said trying to tease me, " I didn't know you were interested in princess ".

I replied, " We didn't have any blanket and it was pretty cold so we ended up like this ".

Yun-yun said with a disappointed face, " I am really sorry Kazuma, my mom wanted us to end like that but since we changes rooms... She did that on purpose, I am really sorry ".

I replied, " You don't need to apologize, anyways it was much better to sleep like this ", I gave a smile

Chris said, " Ha! I knew you were interested in Iris ".

I replied, " Oi! Shut up! I am trying to comfort Yun-yun "

Iris woke because of your arguments and said, " I had a lot of fun, I didn't you were this good ".

Chris said with a serious expression, " Oi! What did you do with her "

I retorted, " Iris, stop saying that, they will misunderstood it, stop teasing me "

Iris said, " Yeah, I was kidding. It is really easy to tease you onee-chan ", she gave a cute smile.

Everyone seemed to understand and everything went back to normal. I teleported with Chris, Iris and our new team member Megumin. We said goodbye to Yun-yun and returned to Axel.
