In the previous chapter:
Crazy was being tortured. Her torturer, Storm, the black rabbit, had set her body on fire. Something was going on with Nightmare.
Nightmare feels that that fervor that had previously taken his strength was now giving him strength. His vision blurs, a mark appears near his shoulder, he gets up and looks at his trapped hands. It was the only thing he could see clearly. He clenches his fists and forces himself to break the handcuffs. He gets shocked in the process but manages to break the handcuffs. The shocks seemed to have increased his strength even more.
Nightmare now looks at Storm who realizes that the bear has stood up and broke the handcuffs. Storm tries to whip him but Nightmare holds the whip. The thorns throughout the length of the whip cut Nightmare's hands but he doesn't seem to care. Storm is scared. Nightmare pulls the whip which causes Storm to fall. He then throws the whip away. He looks at the bleeding hand and licks it.
—Delicious... —He says and punches Storm in the face with the same hand he licked.
The straight punch makes Storm pass out. Nightmare then locks him with some open handcuffs that he found. With that done he goes to Crazy who had some of the burned hair. The part that didn't burn was absorbing the fire. Nightmare then leans her against a wall there.
—Are you alright? —He asks.
—I am... —She says a little quietly. —But and you? How did you break free?
—I think it was... —Nightmare looks at the mark on his arm. —That...
—Ah, yes... I see...
—He hurt you a lot, didn't he? —Nightmare says and looks at the passed out rabbit. —Don't worry... I'm going to make him pay for it...
—B-but... He didn't do anything to you...
—But I can't let him hurt the fox that saved me and get away with it...
Crazy simply opens a simple smile. Nightmare returns the smile. Storm then begins to wake up. Nightmare realizes and approaches him. Storm tries to get up and run but the handcuffs give him a strong shock. Nightmare punches Storm and makes him fall again. Storm's nose begins to bleed purple fluid. Storm looks at Nightmare fearfully.
—M-man... I'm sorry... I-I-I...
—Shut up! —Nightmare cuts him off. —You will pay for what you did... And you will pay dearly...
Nightmare, full of fury, starts punching and punching Storm more than he just couldn't fight back. Nightmare also delivers several kicks to Storm's stomach. The rabbit screamed and cried in pain. Soon he was almost completely senseless. Just moaning in pain. Nightmare was going to give him the last blow but Crazy says:
—Wait! —She gets up with difficulty. —Nightmare... I know a way to end this once and for all...
—Are you sure? —Nightmare says a little worried. —You still look kind of bad...
—I'm sure... —Crazy said. —You can leave him with me...
Crazy approaches Storm, who looks at her with difficulty. He was bleeding a lot. She closes her eyes and extends her hand. She takes a deep breath and opens her eyes that were totally pitch black. Nightmare didn't know what was going on until Storm started to squirm. Whatever Crazy was doing seemed to hurt a lot.
Some of Crazy's wounds close, her necklace glows, and Storm starts screaming. Nightmare just watches as the rabbit's soul is removed from the body and "kept" in Crazy's necklace. When that is over, Storm's body dematerializes. Crazy blinks and her eyes glow purple for an instant but then they turn golden again as usual. Crazy reels for an instant. Nightmare catches her before she falls.
—Are you sure you're okay? —Nightmare asks.
—I am... It's just that what I did takes some energy...
—But what was that? —He asks.
—A containment system for dangerous criminals like the Storm...
—Do you carry many there?
—Only the ones I met along the way... Can we please get out of here, Nightmare?
—Of course! Yes, we can... But... What are you going to do this way?
—I just want you to leave me in a sunny place... I'll be fine...
—No way am I going to leave you alone that way!
—Just do what I'm asking... I'll be fine...
—Ok... But I'm going to come back for you after I get that book of yours...
—Ok... But I don't think you'll need to...
