"… What is this place? Who are you two?" asked the mysterious girl curiously to both Joker and Violet after she look around the place she's in after Joker woke her up.
"We're Phantom Thieves." replied Joker calmly and confidently to the mysterious girl.
"You two are… "Phantom Thieves". I am Sophia, humanity's companion. Nice to meet you two." said the girl as she introduced herself to both Joker and Violet.
"Nice to meet you too and what do you mean by "Humanity's companion", Sophia-san?" asked Violet in confusion to Sophia.
"It means that I can help humans by being their companion. Are you two humans? Do you two have names, Black and Princess?" asked Sophia.
"Black and Princess? Well, I can see why she'd call Joker "Black" because of his outfit but I don't get why she'd call me "Princess"." thought Violet in amusement then confusion in her mind at Sophia calling Joker "Black" and call her "Princess".
"Yeah, I'm Joker and she's Violet, not Black and Princess like you said earlier, Sophia." replied Joker.
"Joker", "Violet"… Okay, I memorized it. Joker, Violet, do you two know where this place-" asked Sophia to both Joker and Violet before she got cut off by Skull's voice.
"Hey, I just heard somethiiiing…" said Skull suddenly to both Joker and Violet from behind them, which make them glance over their shoulders at Skull, Mona, Seraph, Ryoji, Blanc and Isamu as they approach them only to stopped when they noticed with surprised looks on their faces at Sophia standing with both Joker and Violet.
"Huh? Who is she?" asked Isamu in confusion to both Joker and Violet about Sophia.
"What is it, Joker, Violet?" asked Mona as he glance at both Joker and Violet before he noticed Sophia staring at him with a surprise look on her face. "Uh, can I help you?" asked Mona in confusion to Sophia.
"… A raccoon?" said Sophia.
"Try a "cat"! Wait, DON'T try a cat!" snapped Mona in annoyance and denial at Sophia calling him a raccoon.
"Make up your mind…" said Skull in slight exasperation at Mona.
"Pfft." chuckled Isamu as she quickly look away from Mona.
"At least someone's amused about it." thought Seraph as he rolled his eyes at Isamu.
"Anyway, who's she? She got a real funky getup…" asked Skull to both Joker and Violet (who turned around to glance at them) about Sophia.
"Well, she's Sophia and she came out of a box that Violet and I found and I touched earlier, you guys." replied Joker.
"What?" said Skull in more confusion to Joker.
"She came out of a box? Seriously?" said Blanc as he glance in disbelief at Sophia.
"That's unbelievable…" said Mona.
"I am Sophia, humanity's companion." said Sophia.
"Humanity's companion, huh? Interesting." thought Ryoji with an interested look on his face at Sophia.
"Were you dumped down here by that Alice girl too like how she did to us?" asked Mona.
"… I just learned that I've no memories before I woke up, met and talk to you all. So I don't know." said Sophia with a sad look on her face.
"Wait, what?" said Skull.
"Oh dear. Could it be that you've amnesia?" said Isamu with a pity look on her face at Sophia.
"Amnesia?" said Sophia in confusion to Isamu about Amnesia.
"Hey, you all come here for a second." said Mona to Joker, Violet, Skull, Seraph, Ryoji, Blanc and Isamu before he beckoned them to come with him to a secluded spot next to a pile of rubbish and they did. "Who is that, Joker, Violet?" asked Mona again to both Joker and Violet about Sophia.
"Didn't she already tell you who she is and what she do, Mona?" said Violet.
"But didn't she also say she doesn't have any memories? Also what kinda crazy shit is that? Way too weird…" said Skull, more surprised now.
"Oh really? Even weirder than what we've seen and gone through in the Metaverse last year, Skull?" said Seraph in a deadpan tone of voice to Skull.
"Not to mention what you and your old SEES teammates seen and gone through together in the Dark Hour at midnight in Tatsumi Port Island a few years ago, Seraph." thought Ryoji in his mind.
"That's… Ok, I guess you've a point, Seraph." sighed Skull in reluctant agreement with Seraph.
"She doesn't seem to be a Shadow, though… She doesn't even seem hostile." said Mona.
"Maybe but sometimes outer appearance of people can be very deceiving, like Crow, for example." said Blanc.
"Excuse me, Blanc? You dare to say that about my Gocchan?" said Seraph as he glared at Blanc.
"Whoops, sorry, it slips out, Seraph." said Blanc apologetically to Seraph.
"Humph." snorted Seraph as he crossed his arms and look away from Blanc.
"Whatever she is, we still gotta find a way out. Nobody's solving any problems in this dump, that's for sure." said Skull.
"Uh, Skull-senpai…" said Violet as she noticed Sophia approaching and standing beside Skull now.
"In trouble?" said Sophia concernly to Skull (which surprises him and the others except Seraph, Ryoji and Violet).
"Whoa, when did you-" said Skull.
"If you're in trouble, I can help. I am humanity's companion. My purpose is to be helpful to humans." said Sophia.
"Sooo, you wanna help us out?" said Skull unsurely to Sophia.
"Correct. What is your problem?" said Sophia as she nodded at Skull.
"Well, uh… We're lost. I guess we're lookin' for a way outta here?" said Skull.
"Yeah, exactly." said Isamu in agreement with Skull.
"A way… Will reaching the surface solve your problem of "a way outta here"?" said Sophia.
"Uhhh, yeah… It would…" said Mona hesitantly to Sophia.
Okay, I've got it. I'm searching for "a way outta here"." said Sophia as she turned around and sprint away from them.
"There she goes." sighed Seraph.
Wha-hey, don't go out there alone! What now, Joker?" protested Mona before he glance at Joker.
"We should go after her, we can't just leave her be." said Joker.
"Right. She could be attacked by Shadows any second now." said Mona.
"You guys sure about that? She's still super suspicious… Buuut, I guess we couldn't ditched her, either… Hey! Hey, you better watch out for Shadows!" yell Skull concernly to Sophia only to see her facing a group of 7 white-masked security guard shadows. "Aw crap, too late!" swored Skull before he, Joker, Violet, Mona, Seraph, Ryoji, Blanc and Isamu run forward and stand between Sophia and the security guard shadows.
"Get behind us, Sophia!" said Mona concernly to Sophia before he, Joker and the others charge forward and began fighting and defeating the group of 7 shadows.
"Phew… We got through that somehow. Sophia, right? You hurt or anything?" asked Skull concernly to Sophia.
"No problems here." replied Sophia reassuringly to Skull.
"Why was I attacked? Assaulting others without reason is not proper behaviour." said Sophia in confusion to them.
"Uh, not exactly sure how to explain it, but those guys are called Shadows." said Skull.
"And we're the Phantom Thieves. We're considered dangerous rebels by the ruler of this place… Intruders they want to eliminate except for her since she just awaken to her Persona and is still a newbie." said Mona before he and the others glance at Isamu.
"The Phantom Thieves… That's really cool." said Sophia happily and excitedly to them.
"THAT'S what you've to say? Thanks for the compliment, I guess… Anyway, there is a shit-ton of Shadows around here. If you wanna help us, then let's all go together." said Skull.
"I can find "a way outta here". You all only need to wait for me." said Sophia.
"You're actually going to help us out?" said Mona.
"Didn't she already say that she will, Mona?" said Blanc as he shake his head at Mona.
"Yeah, he's right. I've been helping you this entire time. Joker and Violet help me first. Now, I'll be helpful for him, her and the rest of you. Use me as needed, Joker." said Sophia.
"Haha, all right-you're weird, but I guess you really do wanna help us." chuckled Skull.
"Looking forward to how you'll help us, Sophia-san." said Violet.
"It's your call, Joker." said Mona as he glance at Joker.
"Yeah, let's work together, Sophia." said Joker.
"Okay, Joker." said Sophia as she smiled and nodded at Joker before she glance at the others. "Along with the… cat, the… princess, the… grim reaper, the… angel, the… prince, the… pirate and the… skeleton." added Sophia to each of them.
"Again she call me "Princess". Why did she call me that?" thought Violet in confusion in her mind.
"She called me "Grim Reaper". Does she know who I really am inside or she got a lucky guess?" thought Ryoji concernly in his mind.
"She called me and Seraph "Prince" and "Angel", sounds fitting enough for both of us." thought Blanc in amusement in his mind (while Seraph sighed and shake his head a little).
"Pirate", huh? I guess it's because of the mask and the outfit that I'm wearing now and the names that she called others is quite cute and amusing." thought Isamu as she look down at her outfit before she chuckled again at what Sophia call the others.
"I'm not a skeleton!" said Skull in irritation at Sophia for calling him a skeleton.
"Nyahahaha, Skull's short for Skullington now-Wait! Just because I look like this doesn't make me a cat!" chuckled Mona in amusement at Sophia calling Skull a skeleton before he realised what she called him and complain to her about it.
"You guys, calm down and don't let what she called you riled you guys up like that, alright?" said Joker calmly to his teammates and Isamu.
"Fine. But let me remind you again that I'm SKULL. Don't screw it up!" said Skull as he crossed his arms.
"And I'm MONA, ok? Don't you forget it!" said Mona.
"Fine. I'm Blanc and they're Seraph, Violet, Ryoji and Isamu Toudou, Sophia." said Blanc as he corrected and tell Sophia their codenames and names.
"Understood. And what has upset you?" said Sophia in confusion to them, which make both Joker and Violet sighed and shake their heads at Sophia, make both Mona and Skull scowled at her while Blanc, Seraph, Ryoji and Isamu stay silent before they turned and walked up the staircase out of the dumpster room, went down a hallway before they stopped when they see a Shadow standing with his back to them in another room.
"There it is, a Shadow, Sophia." said Seraph about the shadow to Sophia.
"I see. Thanks for telling me about it." said Sophia thankfully to Seraph.
"Shit. It's still hangin' around…" swored Skull with an annoy look on his face at the security guard.
"We've got Isamu and Sophia with us. We should just avoid it if we can…" said Mona concernly to Joker and the others about both Isamu and Sophia.
"Are you saying that person there is in your way?" said Sophia.
"Yeah, we can't escape unless we get past here." said Skull as he nodded at Sophia.
"Okay, I've got it." said Sophia with a nod of her head.
"Huh? Got what?" said Skull in confusion to Sophia before he, Joker and the others watched with disbelief and shock looks on their faces as Sophia run toward the shadow. "Wait, what the hell!?" added Skull in shock at what Sophia just did.
"Not again…" groaned Seraph.
"Come on, let's go after her, you guys!" said Blanc worriedly to Joker and the others (who nodded to him) before they run after Sophia while the shadow heard them coming and turned to glance at them.
"You're… intruders!" said the shadow as he glared at them before he convulsed, burst apart into red and black mists and transform into 3 pumpkins wearing blue cloaks, green hats and holding lanterns in their hands before one of them swiftly sent a ball of fire straight toward Sophia and it collide against Sophia while Joker, his teammates and Isamu quickly raised their arms to covered their eyes from the bright light and once the light dimmed down and they lowered their arms from their faces and opened their eyes, they saw with surprised looks on their faces as a black shield with glowing hieroglyphs on them showed up in front of Sophia (while her face turned completely black and her cyan eyes glow brightly) before the black shield break apart into 4 rectangular pieces that floats behind and above Sophia while 2 huge white yo-yo-looking weapons appear in Sophia's hands before Sophia swung her yo-yo weapons toward the 3 pumpkins, struck and destroy them into tiny black pieces.
"We're… the Phantom Thieves." said Sophia calmly after she defeated the 3 pumpkins.
"Holy shit! She just beat em!" said Skull with a surprise look on his face after seeing Sophia take down the 3 pumpkins.
"Yeah, she did. And with a yo-yo weapons of all things…" said Blanc, surprise as well.
"No way… Was that a Persona!?" said Mona.
"No, it's not. But it does give off a feeling that's similar to when you guys summoned your Personas, Mona." said Ryoji as he shake his head at Mona before a large group of shadows showed themselves.
"Of course reinforcements came after Sophia took down those 3 Pyro Jack shadows, why am I not surprised?" thought Seraph as he shake his head a little.
"What the… What're you intruders doing here!?" demanded one of the shadows at them.
"I am helping the Phantom Thieves. Don't take it personally." replied Sophia calmly to the large group of shadows before she charge toward and began fighting them with Joker, his teammates and Isamu joining in and help her out in fighting against them with their weapons and Personas until they managed to defeat them all.
