Here is the eighth Supplement for the Heart in 'Winning Takes Heart', released at the right time in the series. This the first of a series of special developmental Supplements that if you know my style with certain specific characters and who those characters are based off you'd know what I am building to but that is all I will say for now. In terms of category of Supplement, this falls into the development category rather than side-story or fun but too distracting from the main series to be included categories. For those curious, the events of this Supplement take place between Parts CII and CIII. Sorry that there was such a long gap between Supplements, there just wasn't anything worth telling until this point and the most recent arc in Winning was deliberately dragged out for various reasons so it has been a while since this was updated, the next one will be a fair bit sooner, I promise. Anyway, that is all I have for here, there aren't any guest reviews to respond to here and no questions to answer so to sit back, relax, and enjoy the Winning's eighth Supplement For the Heart: Recuperating Discussion.

Recuperating Discussion

"How are you doing?" Dawn asked as she walked into Emily's room in the Pokémon Center and tried not to look like she was limping or in pain and failing at it.

It was a few days after Ash and Kenny's climactic battle that Ash had not only won but absolutely dominated in. He'd won without losing a single Pokémon, though a few came close to losing, and forced Kenny to leave Kalos for at least a year, which they'd just got confirmation of from Gurkinn who'd made sure of it. It had been sweet seeing Kenny put in his place and them evening the score with the trio who had declared war at them.

Of course, because this was Ash it had been spectacularly destructive in the end. The battle had finished with both Ash and Kenny Mega Evolving their Pokémon, Charizard and Alakazam respectively, and going all at it with their most powerful Pokémon.

Well Ash did, Kenny didn't stand a chance. Ash had finished the battle by having Charizard take Alakazam as high as he could for a Seismic Toss that was accelerated by a Dragon Tail in a powerful combo move right before Charizard dived to avoid a Future Sight that also hit Alakazam at the end. To say that the results were destructive would have been an understatement to say the least.

The force of a Mega Alakazam hitting the ground after that kind of combination was on a level that Dawn hadn't felt before, at least not without legendary Pokémon getting involved but that didn't count. The resulting shockwave had shattered all the windows on the back of the Pokémon Center and sent them flying while destroying the battlefield.

Ash, Kenny and Gurkinn who'd been the ref were all relatively fine though bruised from hitting the walls around the battlefield. The others hadn't been so lucky.

Everyone else had been thrown into the Pokémon Center, right where the shattered glass, furniture, and outdoor benches were. None of them had escaped such an experience unscathed.

Serena was still in bed having slid the length of the Pokémon Center on her back across the broken glass before hitting the front door and dislocating a shoulder from the impact. May had a nasty cut along her left side along with several others on her upper body and arms. Adam, the guy Emily was traveling with, had injured his arms it seemed, which was apparently a constant problem for him. Only Emily had been relatively unscathed with only a facial bruise and a cut along her hairline.

As for Dawn, she had to hide a grimace as she sat on the empty bunk opposite Emily who was on her own bunk with her Klefki out and polishing it with a special polish designed for Pokémon with metallic bodies. Dawn had suffered two long, deep but clean cuts, one to her left forearm and one to her right thigh that had been examined and stitched shut and were currently under heavy bandages.

Nurse Joy had said that they'd likely scar but Dawn didn't mind as they reminded her of Ash beating Kenny. She also had a nasty graze on her side that went from right under her breasts to her waist that caused her pain if she moved her torso too much.

"Better than you look." Emily said with a smile as she tapped the bandages wrapped around her head. "I was lucky compared to you lot."

"Yeah what happened to you?" Dawn asked. "That whole part is a blur of wind and pain to me before I briefly blacked out."

"Adam leapt on me and shielded me the moment Ash told us to get down." Emily said and Dawn noted that her cheeks, usually very rosy to begin with, darkened a little at that. "He protected me and then managed to throw me onto a sofa so that I didn't get too badly hurt, though I think he hurt his arm more in the process."

"That was noble of him." Dawn said impressed at what the Hoenn boy had done. "And it's not like his right arm hasn't suffered plenty of damage. We've all seen the scars he has on his hand and forearm."

"True he's already up and helping Ash with the cleanup though his arm will be in a sling for at least a week, not that he's not used to that apparently." Emily said. "And that's just who Adam is, he's always so caring and noble around me. It's one of the many reasons why I enjoy traveling with him."

"Clearly." Dawn said with a grin that Emily didn't seem to get but that was a discussion for another time as it was clear Emily had no idea what was going on herself, the first time it was often like that. "But it is good that Ash is getting some help, it will allow us to leave sooner. There is a lot to clean up and repair after all."

Ash had been ordered to clean the Pokémon Center while Nurse Joy looked after the rest of them, well except Drew and Brianna who'd left as soon as they could to get help elsewhere. Ash wasn't to leave until it was all cleaned up which meant that Dawn, May, and Serena wouldn't be leaving until he was done. They were all going to help when they could but with the amount of pain they were all in they couldn't do much without risking worsening their injuries.

"Adam's always helping others even when he doesn't have to." Emily said. "It's just who he is. He doesn't seem to have a selfish bone in his body."

"Same with Ash." Dawn said smile. "I can't count the amount of times we've been distracted by him wanting to help someone or some Pokémon along the way. It's caused us to hurry at times because of how much of a delay his actions cause. Always worth it though."

"It makes things interesting." Emily said. "How are the others? Including yourself Dawn. Don't put a brave face on for me, I see the way you're carrying yourself."

"I've seen better days." Dawn admitted. "And maybe worse."

"Worse?" Emily asked and Dawn noticed her friend looking her over. "You look bad covered in those bandages so how could it be worse?"

"Gardenia Town Contest remember." Dawn said. "My only battle with Mollie, we met in that final. Her Absol managed to freeze one of Gloom's feet to the floor, a potential side effect of Blizzard, and then she hit Gloom full on with a Razor Wind. The freezing had startled me, and I didn't see it in time before Gloom was blasted into me. I protected her but then went back first into a concrete wall. My entire back was bruised, and I could feel it for weeks. It wasn't until after a few dips in the hot springs on Cinnabar Island did I stop feeling any pain from it."

"Oh yeah, that Contest was one of the most covered of the season, so I saw it." Emily said. "Well not the impact, I was on the road at the time so I didn't see the Contest itself, but I saw the aftermath on the blogs the next day. They were reporting your upset by Mollie, a big one given your reputation, and how Mollie had beaten all 3 other favorites cementing her status and ensuring she had all of Kanto backing her. The image they used though was the one of her pulling you up after she won and mentioned that it had ended badly but there was great sportsmanship between you two at the end."

"Yeah it was a great battle that Mollie truly won, the only Contest I can say I lost without it coming down to a sudden evolution or a break in the points since my rookie season." Dawn said with a smile. "I am hoping that one day I get a rematch with her so I can even our record. However, that was about as bad as this."

"How so?" Emily asked sounding curious.

"I could barely move without pain because of my back after that happened." Dawn said with a shrug and a wince. "Now it's more a dull throb where I'm cut, and my side is ok so long as I don't move it too much. May is similarly alright but she's got other things to deal with right now than mere physical pain. Serena can't move yet, her back was pretty cut up, so Nurse Joy won't let her out of bed."

"Damn that's not good." Emily said. "And I take it that the other two aren't much better."

"Wouldn't know." Dawn said with a shrug. "Don't really care to be honest after the way they started all this. Drew likely got a concussion and bruises from hitting the front desk, but he recovered fine it seems. He took Brianna away and I hope to not see them again. Alas I doubt that."

"Yeah what is going on?" Emily asked. "Serena explained a bit but I'm still a little confused as to what exactly is going on."

"Well basically back when I was a rookie coordinator, and after I met her during the Wallace Cup, May began dating Drew." Dawn said. "I don't know the details and the only time I've met him is this recent event but from what I gathered May always had a soft spot for Drew and he either reciprocated it or at least was interested in her as a more than a friend on some level. I think part of why May dated him was to get over Ash."

"But she still likes him, it's obvious by the way she looks at him and it's the same with Serena." Emily pointed out. "Which by the way, how can you handle traveling with two girls who have feelings for your boyfriend? I don't get that."

"It's partly because May and now Serena are friends and partly to help me be comfortable around my rivals." Dawn said. "Ash is the most clueless man in the world when it comes to feelings and how his personality makes girls fall for him and I have to accept that I will always have rivals for him. To date I've faced and beaten 5 girls who have feelings for Ash, and I know of a 6th but not where she is. I need to be able to handle it unlike the first time."

"When you threw a Gyarados into a ceiling." Emily said. "I remember the story from our first proper chat. Still can't believe you managed to do that, like literally if I didn't know that the Cerulean Gym had been closed for repairs I wouldn't have realized."

"Yeah, not my proudest moment." Dawn admitted. "Jealousy is one hell of an emotion and makes you do strange things. I'm not as bad as Misty was but she used to bring out the worst in me. Thankfully, we're all good now."

"I wouldn't know, I don't have feelings like that." Emily said. "So, I can't say I've experienced it."

"I'm sure that one day you will understand very clearly." Dawn said cryptically knowing that Emily wouldn't get it just yet. "But traveling with them makes the journey more fun and I have made sure that both of them know their place."

"I see." Emily said clearly thinking on what Dawn had said. "And we just saw that Ash has faced and beaten a rival."

"Yes but Kenny is a different class to any either of us have faced." Dawn said. "As you well know from the Grand Festival last year. He's a truly negative rival that had to be crushed that way and even then he still doesn't get it. Misty and I worked out all our problems out in Hoenn and we are now close while I am friendly with all my rivals that I've met from the start. I know Ash is as well with the other two, though with Conway it is always hard to tell as he gives me the creeps at times."

"Wait Ash has 3?" Emily asked confused. "Wow, you two really seem to attract interest. Who's the last guy? Conway was the guy Ash faced in the last 16 of the Indigo Conference, right? The name sounds familiar."

"Yes that was Conway, and he seems to have accepted his defeat with grace but will try again when stronger though in a healthy, for Conway that is, way." Dawn said not adding that healthy for Conway still involved suddenly appearing behind her when she least expected it. "As for the other rival, well, I wouldn't exactly call Zoey a guy."

"Zoey?" Emily asked. "As in the girl who beat you in the Sinnoh Grand Festival."

"Yup her." Dawn said with a nod. "Turns out that one of our rivals is the same sex as her crush."

"Huh that must have been a surprise." Emily said. "Can't say I saw it coming, though I'm not surprised she's gay. She always bucked the traditional gender norms when I saw her in Contests."

"Yeah it was a bit of a shock on both fronts." Dawn said. "But I will never judge Zoey for it, she'll always be my best friend and at least she's actually moved on and found a girlfriend. However, I think we've gotten a bit off track."

"Yes where were we?" Emily asked.

"Drew is May's ex." Dawn said returning to the main topic. "I don't know all the details and May won't go into them, but I get the feeling that the relationship wasn't great in the end. Drew strikes me as arrogant, narcissistic, and prideful to the extreme, as well as a little controlling. He knows he's good and can't handle losing."

"That doesn't sound like a good combination." Emily said. "Sounds dangerous in fact."

"It's not." Dawn said. "Kenny is a lot of the same only Drew can actually back it up I believe. He seems to have seen May as just another fangirl of his who he could easily beat, at least until she almost beat him in the Hoenn quarterfinals and then did so in the same round a year later in Kanto despite Drew being a favorite for the Grand Festival following his finals loss in Hoenn. It was a big upset I believe."

"That sounds like he would not be able to handle that." Emily said. "Right?"

"I don't know, I think he finally saw May for who she was as a legit coordinator which put her on a higher standing than most for Drew." Dawn said thinking on what she knew. "And May comfortably lost in the semis because Solidad, the eventual winner and a coordinator who isn't favorably seen as she kept competing after becoming a Top Coordinator, figured out May's battle style. It was what forced May to consider her next move and leave Ash's side so that she could finish growing as a coordinator. It was a move that meant she would follow Drew to Johto."

"Oh, that would do it." Emily said. "She effectively chose Drew over Ash then which must have been a huge boost to his ego."

"I believe that's how he sees it but to May I know it was so that she could fully grow as a trainer and coordinator and not because she'd decided that she wanted Drew over Ash." Dawn said. "It allowed her to find her own style away from Ash's influence, something he doesn't realize but that all those who travel with him pick up because of who he is. I know because I finished my own development my season alone. May came back for the Wallace Cup though, that's where May and I first met."

"I remember, that was the Contest that made me fall in love with them and want to be a coordinator when I was ready to go out on my own." Emily said. "It was all so graceful and fun that I knew I had to try them. Plus, that final between you two was amazing."

"It was my return." Dawn said with a smile at how the Wallace Cup on Lack Valor had helped her rediscover her own love for Contests. "I had been considering quitting after a string of failures, but I found myself again in the Wallace Cup. Winning it restored my confidence and I was back in it. Of course, now May and I have met in the finals 3 years in a row, an unheard of feat. Add in that I have won all 3 matches and it will likely never be replicated."

"Though this time it will be different." Emily said. "It's here in Kalos this year and you can't compete in it."

"Alas no, which is a shame as it is my Contest, but I will enjoy watching you and Serena in it." Dawn said. "It's a fun one and special to May and me as our second one helped both of us. We roomed together in Johto as it was there, and I had just seen Ash in Unova and realized that I loved him. I kinda gushed a little much, that was how May realized my feelings for him before I realized hers for him, but it helped her fully recover."

"So, she'd dumped Drew by then." Emily said.

"Correct." Dawn confirmed. "They started dating after the first Wallace Cup but at some point Drew's apparently fragile ego began to resent that May was as good as him and not just, as May would put it, a hot chick with a spectacular rack on his arm. I guess dating blurred the line too much for him. If they hadn't he may have just kept seeing her as a rival but that's just a theory."

"She does have a pair to make any of us envious." Emily admitted. "It is hard not to notice them."

"Speak for yourself." Dawn said glancing and Emily's chest and noting that they had to be bigger than hers by now. "You're younger than me by at least 4 years and already decent, they're definitely still growing though you are still too young for people to be taking notice just yet."

"True, sorry." Emily said.

"It's ok don't worry about it, I'm not one of those girls who get envious as I'm not exactly flat, just perky." Dawn said with a smile. "Anyway, May would never be that and I guess Drew has a type. He apparently got controlling and emotionally manipulative towards the end. It didn't help that May still looked up to Ash like we all do."

"I don't, I look up to you." Emily said causing Dawn to flush a little with pride at that. "Though I think Adam does. He doesn't idolize Ash the way he idolizes the fighting specialists, but he clearly admires Ash's skills."

"Probably but he is a trainer as well." Dawn pointed out. "Ash is just like that though. He's part of our lives but May's crush was always there, but Drew couldn't handle that he'd won and likely saw it as a threat. The breaking point was apparently when she beat him in the semifinals of the Johto Grand Festival as I think he felt that that was his year to win it all. He seems to see it as a betrayal for some reason and gave Harley, a negative rival of May's, the information he needed to beat her in the final."

"That's awful." Emily gasped and Dawn agreed with her shock.

"Yeah it is." Dawn said. "It was the true betrayal and May dumped him for it after she lost in the finals. She told him to not follow her to Sinnoh where she eventually won it. While I hate what Drew did to her, I am honored that May won her Ribbon Cup in my home region."

"Just as you won yours in Ash's." Emily pointed out.

"Yes, if I wasn't going to get it in Sinnoh then Kanto is the next best thing because of Ash." Dawn said with a smile. "But anyway, that's basically May's story with Drew."

"And what about Brianna?" Emily said. "She seemed to be the focal point in all this and just as committed as the others."

"She's, for a lack of a better word, Drew's tool in his vengeance against May." Dawn said. "It seems that Drew spent the year fuming and plotting revenge for being dumped when he returned to Hoenn. It shows that May was right but that's besides the point. During that time, he ran into Brianna again who was in Hoenn to compete that year."

"And that's when he got her on his side, I remember Serena mentioning that the other day." Emily said. "She seems to be in love with him, or at least infatuated with him."

"Correct, she is." Dawn said. "Obsessive love at that I believe. May told us more about Brianna. They first met at the Chrysanthemum Town Contest when May was competing in Kanto."

"Oh, the place where we had our second final." Emily said. "That helps visualize this. I remember that they said she was from there."

"She is and she was a rookie then apparently." Dawn said. "And a massive Drew fangirl to the point that the two Pokémon she used were pre-evolved forms of Pokémon Drew had. She was infatuated with him and was bratty to May because she thought Drew liked her the way Brianna liked in fact. There was also some confusion over a rose or some other flower, but I didn't understand that part of the story."

"That's not good." Emily said.

"Not at the start but apparently May thought that they had sorted it all out." Dawn said. "They met in the finals that year and May won and afterwards whatever was going on was cleared up according to May. However, it seems that Brianna still liked Drew so when she went to Hoenn and won a Contest in his hometown he found her, and she believed everything he told her about what happened with May, which we all believe is a twisted version of the truth. She's now his loyal puppet effectively."

"That sounds so wrong." Emily said. "And Brianna is my age or there about while Drew is May's, that's not appropriate at their current ages."

"Oh, they're not together." Dawn said and she saw the surprise on Emily's face. "Yeah I was as well but I think Drew is being careful on that front as it can look bad if they are together and likely he's using her feelings in some way to control her."

"Well, something that is not bad but that is being manipulated." Emily said. "Which isn't much better."

"No, it's not." Dawn agreed. "And once Brianna was on his side he began his plan. You know her record I take it."

"Top 8 in Kanto, 4 in Hoenn and runner up in Johto." Emily said with a nod. "She's the best on the Kalos circuit for a reason. She's the only one with multiple Grand Festival appearances and the only one with a finals appearance, better than me or Jessilina who have semifinal losses to you."

"That is a coincidence." Dawn said.

"Small world it seems." Emily said. "But go on."

"Yes, anyway, because Brianna can compete that is what Drew is using her for." Dawn said returning back to the main conversation. "They deliberately came to Kalos after Drew won in Sinnoh, he turned down the Committee's offer to do so, and Brianna lost in Johto making her eligible for Kalos. They used Harley to find out where May was and came to track her down. Once they realized that Serena was her protégé they knew what they had to do. They staged the meeting that Serena told you about and used it as Brianna's first Contest to show off that she was the best by beating two known names in her debut."

"I go that from Serena." Emily said with a nod. "I just needed to understand the whole backstory behind this sudden war."

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry that you've been dragged in as well." Dawn said. "It wasn't planned but when they brought on Kenny because of his hatred for Ash they figured going after me through you was also a good idea as it still got to Ash through me. You've been dragged into this because of our relationship."

"Well in a sense I am honored that I am considered your protégé." Emily said. "And I will defend you in this if that's what Brianna wants to make this out to be."

"Thank you." Dawn said with a smile. "It may get rough as we don't travel together so you and Brianna might run into each other in a Contest on your own."

"And if we do I will crush her." Emily said. "I lost this time because she was prepared for my fairy types, not again. I do have Adam with me, he'll have already analyzed her style and Pokémon and be ready to give me advice on how to improve. He'll also track her progress for me so I can grow as she does. Don't worry about me Dawn, I can take care of myself."

"I know you can." Dawn said glad to hear that Emily had grown in confidence since they'd first met. "And you've gotten a new Pokémon in Klefki, or at least one that I hadn't seen before."

"Yeah I found it in Lumiose City when it was being harassed because it wouldn't give back the keys it liked." Emily said and Dawn was certain that Klefki looked ashamed of it though it was hard to tell with the odd little Pokémon. "I helped it and gave it a key of my own in exchange so that the keys could be returned. After that it joined me. This was its debut in a Contest."

"It fits you and your style." Dawn said. "And if I recall it was one of the first post reveal reclassifications."

"That it was, shortly before I caught mine in fact." Emily confirmed. "It was over looked because there's only one Klefki that is regularly used in battles, the one that belongs to Wilkstrom of the Kalos Elite Four. He's a steel type specialist and Klefki is a steel type but in an exhibition with Drasna, the dragon type specialist on the Elite Four, it beat two of her Pokémon without taking any damage before it was beaten so after the battle they tested it to confirm the type addition."

"Of course, because steel was the only type that is resistant to dragon type attacks before the sudden appearance of fairy types, a steel type that adds a fairy type would be hard to see." Dawn said realizing. "That and the lack of battle data would explain why it was initially missed."

"It's partially why Mawile was also an after-reveal reclassification." Emily said. "I've been working with Professor Oak on this as he requested. Catching two fairy types already has helped his research."

"It's so new that any data is needed, especially when you seem to have a natural affinity for them." Dawn said. "I'm sure you're a lot of help to Professor Oak."

"I am but what about you Dawn?" Emily asked. "When we first met in Odyssey Village you didn't have any new Pokémon. Do you have any new ones now?"

"Three." Dawn said with a grin. "I've been pretty busy as of late."

"You have." Emily said sounding excited. "Which ones?"

"A Helioptile that I found and helped on the way back to Lumiose City." Dawn said. "Then a Furfrou in Lumiose City that was being chased by Team Rocket, but I helped, and she decided to join me because of it. Most recently a Malamar, that one was an unexpected accident. I didn't even know what I'd caught until I opened the Poke Ball and got slapped by a tentacle."

"Ok how does that work?" Emily said clearly confused. "And I think I know what a Malamar is, not one I'd expect for you."

"And you expected my Spiritomb or Pinsir?" Dawn asked. "Especially the later one as she doesn't like to battle."

"True I didn't but then again no one expects a Spiritomb." Emily said. "I didn't even know what one was before you used it in the final and Adam was so shocked he dropped his notebook in shock at one being used, let alone by you who he'd profiled as someone who wouldn't use a ghost type. He missed the Cremini Contest in his review, so he didn't know you had two ghost types. I've never seen him more feverous with his notes than he was with your Spiritomb, well until Ash used a Porygon2 in the Indigo Conference semifinals that is."

"Just one of the many reasons why I love my Spiritomb so much, he's my secret shock unless someone knows me." Dawn said with a smile. "As for how I caught Malamar, I was trying to catch an Abra and missed it several times. Turns out I had hit a Malamar that was out of sight a few times and inadvertently weakened it. I did injure the Abra and tried to catch it, but it teleported away, and my Poke Ball hit Malamar instead. She stayed for some reason, but she keeps slapping me."

"She slaps you?" Emily asked her eyebrow raised. "I've never heard of a Pokémon doing that."

"She does it whenever I do something that she deems to be stupid or inappropriate." Dawn said. "We have had words about it."

"Is it working?" Emily asked.

"Not in the slightest." Dawn said shaking her head. "But it's a challenge that I need. She listens just fine when I give her instructions and she won her first battle with me, but she has her own sense of propriety as well."

"Sounds like a handful." Emily said. "And an interesting journey so far."

"It always is when you travel with someone like Ash." Dawn said. "And once we are done here we are heading to Shalour City for Ash's next gym battle."

"Oh yeah that's the fighting type gym, it's the one Adam really wants to go to." Emily said. "But I have persuaded him to wait for a bit and backtrack for it. As such, we are heading to Coumarine as soon as we are ready."

"Why there?" Dawn asked.

"Because I want to avoid the big week they have there." Emily said. "A Contest would be good but with a Showcase and a festival at the same time it is all too much to handle. Plus, I am one away from the wildcard so I can get that on the way to Coumarine and be in a good space. I'll get a fourth before the Wallace Cup so that I can go for one if I fail to get the Aqua Ribbon."

"Makes sense." Dawn said. "We are going for that festival as it has everything we could want. I may even enter the Showcase if I like the one we are trying to see on the way."

"You'd be great in them I think." Emily said. "Though not my kinda thing, too debutant and fancy for my tastes."

"Yeah it's just the kinda thing that I would like, I do enjoy dressing up and showing off my femininity after all." Dawn said. "Plus, I want to do something this year in addition to judging. Traveling with Ash for so long has really brought out my competitive side."

"I'll have to keep an eye out for you in them." Emily said.

"I'll try not to disappoint." Dawn said. "Anyway, I take it you are heading to Shalour after you are done in Coumarine."

"Yes we have to go there after so that Adam can get all the badges in this part of Kalos." Emily said and Dawn noted a slight reluctance in her voice. "Then we're going to head east and try and decide what to do though we are saving Laverre for last."

"Circling back to why you are going to the only official fairy type gym last." Dawn said. "You don't sound too keen on going to Shalour."

"No, I want to see the city it's just…" Emily began, and Dawn raised an eyebrow at her. "Well, it's just Adam is constantly raving about the leader there because she's a noted fighting specialist and one who's similar to Brawley as she's a more fluid fighter than Chuck, Mylene or Bea are apparently."

"I see." Dawn said repressing a smirk, she knew exactly what was going on and that when they made it to Shalour Emily might have to face some uncomfortable truths about herself when she met Korrina, especially of the gym leader was as attractive as May had hinted she was. "I'm sure you will have an interesting time in Shalour City."

"It's for Adam and the one he really wants to go to, so I don't mind going there." Emily said with a sigh. "Plus, he has to go to Laverre, and fairy types are super strong against fighting types but he's still doing it and we're going to try and stay there a while because I am a specialist in the type. I want to get some advice from Valerie while there so that is why we're going there last. Gives us plenty of time and it's near enough to Lumiose City to return for the Grand Festival and Conference there. At least that's the current plan but it may change depending on what is going on, nothing is set in stone yet other than Coumarine and Shalour."

"Makes sense." Dawn said as her Poketch chimed a notification at her that Dawn looked at and sighed. "But I have to go, it's time for a dressing change and some precautionary antibiotics. Well, that and to make sure that Ash is doing his job."

"Alright, I'll just be here as Klefki needs a thorough polish." Emily said as Dawn rose. "And Dawn, thanks for coming to talk about all that is going on. I am ready for the year and I will use this proxy war thing to get stronger."

"I know you will." Dawn said with a smile before she left.

It was good to see that Emily was doing alright with the war she'd been dragged into against her will and was recovering well after Ash's battle with Kenny. It was what Dawn had hoped and it gave her confidence in the war to come. They may not have started it but now that it was on, they were going to win it. That was what Dawn was certain of as she went to make sure that her boyfriend was doing his job so that they could return to their journey.

A short, simple, Supplement that continues to show Dawn and Emily's relationship as was seen in the Supplement to Dreams, while building more on Emily's character. There will be at least 2 or 3 more Supplements with either Dawn and Emily, or the other girls and Emily that explores something with Emily. OCs will always see their development on the Supplement so as to not detract from the canon characters and the main story and of all the OCs, Emily will get the most. However, that is all I have for now, the next Supplement is going to be in a few Parts time. Anyway, as always please continue favorite and follow both me and this story to keep abreast with new releases and keep the reviews coming. Until next time.
