Not Surprised

"Well... you see... I... carry... FLOUR! Yes, flour... into the bakery. Every day. Yep. That's how I am in good shape." Marinette said, "hehe," she added nervously for good measure.

Alya, still in shock of the fight, Marinette's injuries, and Adrien taking care of her, did not notice the nervousness and stuttering in her explanation.

"Good shape?!? Good shape?!? Mari you have a six-pack!"

"Yeah dudette, that's more than in good shape."

"Lay off her ok?" Adrien said, coming to defend his girlfriend. With all of the recent events, he really did not have the energy for this, and was surprised Marinette did not snap at Lila sooner.

Adrien gave an agitated huff and continued dressing the bluenette's wounds.

"You're not even surprised?" Alya asked, started to get annoyed at the blonde.

'Of course I'm not surprised. We're dating! She's my girlfriend! I have seen her in a spandex suit for years! Heck, I have seen her in less than a spandex suit! Why would I be surprised? I am surprised, that Princess is not even trying to fake being in pain from me cleaning her up. I mean, I know she's used to it- ugh I still don't like how sometimes the ladybugs don't heal her if she's too tired- but she should at least pretend! Gods I love her so much. I hate seeing her hurt. I hate Lila. Well, I knew that, but now I really hate her. Wow I love Mari.' Adrien thought. His face was flashing through many different emotions as his inner dialogue went on. Alya and Nino didn't know what to make of it, but of course, Marinette could practically read his mind at this point.

"Alya, my wounds do hurt, I just don't want my parents to be even more worried than they already are."

"Still doesn't explain why Sunshine over here isn't surprised at your abs."

"Maybe because 'Sunshine' has seen them before." Adrien spat out. Of course, he thought he said this in his head, but by the look on his Lady's face, he said it out loud.

"What do you mean you've seen them before?" Nino asked, his voice being an octave higher than normal and laced with panic.

"Babe, I got this," Alya said, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'VE SEEN THEM BEFORE?!?!"

"I...I...I-I saw Marinette at the beach with her family once when I had a photo shoot there."

The couple looked skeptically at Marinette and Adrien, but decided not to press further.

"Okay. But I don't believe you for a second, and I want a better explanation tomorrow."

After some more praise about the fight and making sure their best friend was okay, Alya and Nino left.

-Line Break-

Ladybug and Chat Noir were running across the Paris skyline. The polka dotted hero carried two little boxes with her, while the feline had a picnic basket. Even though all their parents now knew their identities, they still snuck out, wanting to be alone for what was to come. Marinette's parents understood why she got into the fight, but still did not like that their daughter fought back. After some explaining that she was defending herself and Adrien, and added in that her Ladybug side kicked in, the Dupain-Cheng's let the teens be for the night.

They landed on top of the Eiffel Tower, and sat down. Chat Noir opened the picnic basket, and brought out different types of food, ranging from macaroons to fried rice.

Meanwhile, Ladybug was preparing to open the two boxes she brought with them.

After the food was set out, and the heroes made sure they were alone and out of site, the couple detransformed.

Marinette opened the boxes.

"Wooooooo! Miss Nathalie, are you ready to trans..."

"Hello Nooroo and Duusu. This is Adrien Agreste, also known as Chat Noir. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I am Ladybug and the Guardian of the Miraculous , and I think we should all talk."
