Chapter 8
It's been a few days and I am sitting at another Mayan's party and in my normal spot in Gilly's lap. He has his noses brushing the side of my neck while my nails graze the back of his neck. His lips move up next to my ear and he whispers "Te quiero mi vida." I tilt his face up to kiss his lips and whisper "I love you too my love." He brushes his nose with mine and I sigh in contentment. "Y'all making me sick." Coco says. Neither of us look up but we both flip him off and he just laughs. We spend the next little bit just kissing and snuggling together before we head to bed.
The next morning, I get out of bed without waking Gilly and head to the main room for coffee. Getting my cup, I step outside to the porch and sit on the couch and just enjoy the quiet before the day gets started. I hear the door open and Bishop walks out. Taking the seat next to me, he kisses my cheek. "How are you little one?" he asks. "I'm good Bishop. How'd you sleep?" I ask. "I'm okay sweetheart." he tells me before finishing his coffee and heading inside. I'm still sitting outside alone when someone walks up. I look up and see it's the hangaround that tried to force himself on me when I first got here. He walks over and plops down next to me on the couch and I go to leave but he grabs my hand to stop me as he stands. "Where do you think you're going? There's no one to help you now." he says as he starts to pull me down the steps and to the side of the building and I struggle against him. "Help me!" I scream and he laughs. "No one's up to hear you." he says and all of a sudden, EZ is in his path. "Let her go." Ez says. "She's just a whore man. I'll be done with her in a few minutes." he says before pulling me again and EZ wraps his hand around the guy's throat and he lets go of my hand. "Get Gilly." EZ says and I run towards the clubhouse door.
Running inside, I see Gilly at the bar getting his coffee. He turns when he hears the door open and sees me in a panic. Rushing to me, he cups my face. "What's wrong?" he asks as he's checking me over for injuries. I shake my head no but I can't catch my breath. "E...Z" I get out and Angel and Coco rush outside and he pulls me close. "Breathe mi amor." he whispers as he rubs my back. I finally start calming down and Coco comes back inside. "You need to come out here mano. We got a problem." Gilly looks at him and then me and he says "Stay with Letty." I shake my head and say "Please don't leave me." He looks at me and sees more panic and nods. "Come on." he tells me.
Holding me close, we walk outside and over to where Coco leads us and I tense when I see EZ holding the guy down. "The fuck are you doing back here?" Gilly asks as he pulls me behind him. "He was trying to pull Maleah to the side of the building. I heard her scream for help when I came out of my trailer." EZ says and Gilly looks at me and I nod, agreeing with him. He kisses my forehead and says "I need you to let Coco take you inside. Stay by Letty and Chucky." he tells me and I whisper "Gilly…" but he stops me with a kiss. "I'll handle this and be back as soon as I can." he tells me and I close my eyes and take a deep breath. Coco leads me inside and to Letty and she hugs me and holds onto me.
Gilly turns back to the hangaround and says "I told you the last time you touched my Old Lady what was going to happen if you touched her again. Did you think I was joking?" The hangaround looks at Gilly and says "I just wanted a turn with her." Gilly gets even more pissed and says "She's not a club girl. She's my wife." The hangaround's eyes go wide. Gilly picks him up and drags him to Coco's car and tosses him in the trunk.
They take him out to the desert and get him out and after Gilly beats the shit out of him, he puts a bullet in his head and they bury him. Walking back into the clubhouse, as soon as I see him walk in, I rush to him and he holds me close. "I got you mi vida." he whispers in my ear. I look up at him and he picks me up and carries me to the dorm. Sitting on the bed, he pulls me to straddle him and cups my face. "I got you." he says again. I take a deep breath and he's just looking at me. "I'm okay." I tell him. "Are you?" he asks. "I think so. Just, thank you." I tell him. "I will always protect you." he says. "I know. That's why I love you." I tell him. "Now, are you good?" he asks. I nod my head and say "I won't let this set me back. I'm good." I tell him before kissing him deeply. "I'm okay my love." I tell him. He nods before we spend the next little bit just kissing and being together.
