"Sweetness" -Jimmy Eat World

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Most people hit snooze once, twice, however many times it takes to garner enough motivation to actually wake up and get up. Bubbles, however, was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed the minute the sound went off.

It was almost obscene how perfect she looked 0.5 seconds after being fast asleep.

Just one of her many talents.

Or maybe it was a superpower.

Regardless, Bubbles did love mornings. Everything about them. Breakfast food, sunrises, cappuccinos, hot showers, all of it.

This morning was particularly special. She and her sisters had a planned outing today, with Boomer!

His ceramics studio had a promotion going on with one free pottery class as a group. Of course she had all but blackmailed her family into going.

That had been a humbling conversation.

"Please, Blossom? You know the arts are a strong component of a well-rounded curriculum! And Buttercup! It's like playing in the mud all day! And you get to take home what you make! Pleeeease? Boomie really needs the support..." And there was the smolder.

Buttercup visibly shuddered. "Every time she calls him that, a piece of my soul dies inside."

Blossom scolded her sister. "Hush Buttercup. That's not a very kind thing to say."

"Sooooo, are you going?" Bubbles' big blue eyes flickered back and forth to green and pink ones.

And of course, they nodded. One more reluctantly than the other. Their reward was a monster hug and shrieks right in the ears.

Now here they were, on the morning of the class.

Bubbles wanted to look as artsy as possible, so she tied her hair into twin braids and threw on an old t-shirt paired with overalls. Giving herself a twirl in the mirror before floating downstairs, she couldn't stop smiling.

Only the professor was awake at this time, but he was hard at work in the lab and Bubbles didn't want to bother him. Instead, she set herself to work cooking breakfast for her sisters. She knew all too well the smell of food would awaken even the hibernating Buttercup.

Bubbles was an excellent cook, her only fault was her penchant for using a little too much sweetener. In everything. Blossom still wouldn't let her retry pot pies after she had put whipped cream on top of them.

Oh well. Breakfast could be sweet. Like blueberry pancakes with fresh maple syrup and powdered sugar sweet. And Bubbles made a mean pancake batter.

Soon enough, the delicious smell of breakfast was wafting through the house. A thick stack of pancakes sat in the warm oven, waiting to be eaten. A few more sizzled on the skillet, turning a rich golden color.

Bubbles checked her watch. Blossom would be awake soon. She was much easier to rouse than Buttercup.

As if on cue, the pink beauty slowly drifted down the stairs, yawning and stretching as she did. "Mmm! Something smells delicious." Her sleepy voice carried like a melody into the kitchen.

"Mornin' Bloss! I'm makin' pancakes!" Bubbles called out to her sister as she flipped her flapjacks and watched them cook.

Blossom poured herself a glass of water and sipped on it as Bubbles cooked. "Don't you look cute!" She smiled as she complimented Bubbles' outfit. "Excited for today?"

"You have no idea!" Bubbles squealed in happiness. She did a little dance with her spatula in hand. "I can't wait to make pots and learn about what Boomer does for a living. It's going to be so much fun!" She eagerly stacked the fresh pancakes and placed them into the oven. "Is Buttercup awake yet?"

Blossom shook her head. "You're going to have to try harder to wake that sleeping bear."

"Hmm..." Bubbles turned to the refrigerator and began to rummage. She grabbed a pack of vegan bacon (Bubbles refused to hurt innocent animals for food) and cut it open with some scissors. "Just you wait, she'll be down here in no time flat." She laid a few strips onto the hot griddle.

Although it wasn't real bacon, it still had the telltale smells of it. Pretty soon the house was filled with the sweet and savory scents of a great breakfast. It was like a diner, and Bubbles heard Blossom's stomach growl in anticipation.

She laughed. "As soon as that lazy bones wakes up, we can eat!" She flipped the bacon, making sure both sides were crispy. Any second now.

Upstairs, a door opened. "Oh, man! Is that actual bacon?" A green light shot into the room and Buttercup appeared, slightly disheveled from dreamland, but awake. "Smells darn good too!" She licked her lips in anticipation.

"Well, if by real you mean made of plants and beans instead of the insides of poor piggies, then yes!" Bubbles shifted the fake meat around, careful not to burn anything.

Buttercup's smile faded. "Damn, I'm going back to bed..." The girl in green made to float back to her room when Blossom stopped her.

"One, watch your mouth! It is not polite to curse. And two, you're eating Bubbles' breakfast and then we're going to ceramics class in case you forgot. We've already agreed." She dragged her sister and pushed her into an open chair at the head of the table.

Buttercup grumbled and crossed her arms in annoyance, but for once didn't argue. "Whatever, at least it smells like real bacon." She rubbed her upper arm. "Kinda did forget that was today."

Bubbles gave her sister a side eye. "Well it would do you well to remember, we don't get a lot of opportunities to go and do something together that's not monster fighting." She flipped the switch to the burner off. "I miss you two." Her voice took on a quiet, melancholic tone as she plated the bacon.

Buttercup and Blossom's eyes softened at her words. "I uh, I mean! We miss you too Bubs. Not even much crime fighting to be had these days." Buttercup studied her hands. "We really don't get to hang all that often anymore."

Blossom stood up and began to set the table for Bubbles. "Well then we'll just have to take this as a sign that we need to make more time for sisters. Orange juice anyone?"

Bubbles smiled then, putting the food before the girls. "That sounds like a plan to me." She sat down and Blossom joined her. "Now let's give thanks!"

To Bubbles' left, Buttercup groaned, which earned her a glare from Blossom. Regardless, the three joined hands and Bubbles led them in a quick, but meaningful show of thanks.

"Thank you to the hands that prepared this food (i.e. me) and thank you to my sisters for joining me for breakfast and for the wonderful class my boy is teaching today." In all her glory, Bubbles could be a bit conceited at times. "Now let's eat!"

With three hungry girls, breakfast was over quickly. Pancakes vanished into their stomachs, and Buttercup actually helped herself to seconds of vegan bacon, "It's really not that bad..." She admitted.

Everything was washed down with a full glass of liquid sunshine. Smiles and laughter were plentiful around the table. It felt so nice to actually have a meal together again.

Full and content, the Powerpuff Girls worked as a lightning-fast team to clean up. Bubbles was all but forced to relax as her sisters took responsibility for washing dishes.

"Thank you again for cooking breakfast Bubbles. Those were some delicious blueberry pancakes." Blossom scrubbed plates as Buttercup dried them. "Was there a hint of cinnamon?"

Bubbles giggled. "But of course! Sugar and spice, right?"

"And everything nice!" Blossom finished cheerfully.

Buttercup rolled her eyes and shook her head as she put away the clean dishes. "You guys are too much, y'know that?"

Blossom and Bubbles shared a look. They both knew even she had a little bit of "everything nice" inside her too.

As soon as everything was clean and put away, Bubbles could not stop looking at the clock. It was almost time for them to go to the art studio for their class.

"You two should go get ready! That is unless, you want sticky clay all over your favorite band shirt, Buttercup?" Bubbles teased as she pointed at the well-loved shirt that was beginning to come apart at the seams.

Buttercup winced and hugged her arms protectively over her front. "Just a sec! No way am I ruining Hooligans! They're not even together anymore!" She dashed up to her room, slamming the door.

Blossom sighed like an overworked mother. "I should go get ready too. Any suggestions?" It was well-known that Bubbles often had great fashion sense. Not that Blossom or Buttercup didn't have any themselves, but a little help was usually welcome.

The blonde girl thought for a moment. "Well Boomie suggests closed-toed shoes, just in case, of course. And something you wouldn't mind getting dirty. Like those old, distressed skinny jeans with the rips! Y'know, the ones that make your butt look really nice?" Bubbles smirked as Blossom's eyes went wide.

"B-Bubbles! That's highly inappropriate!" Her cheeks colored to match her hair. She huffed and made her way upstairs, lecturing no one in particular as she went.

Bubbles watched her leave. "She'll be wearing them." She crossed her arms in satisfaction, then took out her phone to send a quick text to Boomer.

Hey honey! We're almost ready to go! How's setting up going? xoxo

Hitting send, the blue puff waited to feel her phone buzz. When it did, she immediately opened the message.

Good morning my lady! Oh, great! We can't wait to have you girls here! Got an extra surprise for your sisters when they get here :)

Bubbles glanced around her, making sure Buttercup and Blossom hadn't snuck downstairs to see this. A smile split across her face as she typed out a reply and sent it off.

Oh, this will be good:)

A short time later, the girls touched down gracefully in front of the university where the art studio was.

"Here we are! Now, Boomer said his class is on the second floor..." Bubbles opened the door and began searching for the stairs. Her sisters followed after her.

Buttercup looked around. The art building and gymnasium seemed to be in the same building.

Hearing some shouts and groans of pain, she wandered over to a rec room of sorts. Her eyes widened and her face split into a grin. "Oh my God, is that a pencak silat class going on in there? I've always wanted to take that martial art!" She pressed her face to the glass window of the room. "Hell yeah! Throw that dude to the ground!"

"Buttercup, you remember what happened the last time you signed up for a contact sport?" Blossom tapped her foot impatiently. Much to Bubbles' satisfaction, the leader was indeed wearing the jeans her sister had suggested. Nothing else appealed to me, she had said. Bubbles had just smiled.

Buttercup cracked her fingers against each other. "Oh whatever, taekwondo is prone to a few minor injuries. And that idiot had no business being in that class. It's not my fault his arm broke."

"Right, and people can just get a compound fracture by walking down the street." Bubbles sighed. "Poor Marco, he was so sweet too."

Buttercup turned to glare at Bubbles. "It's not like he's dead! Bones heal really fast, he was fine after six to eight weeks. You're still so sensitive, sticks and stones, Bubbles." She turned back to the aggressive fighting going on. "Nice one! This is like watching pro wrestling, Indonesian style. We should forget the class and do this instead!"

"No way! We're going to be late if we stick around. We already promised. Bubbles? A little help?" At her command, Blossom and Bubbles gently took hold of each of Buttercup's arms and all but tore her away from the window.

"Hey! Back off you two!" She shrugged the hands off her. "Alright, alright! I can walk by myself, geez. You never let me have any fun." She shoved her hands into the pockets of her cargo pants and studied her boots.

"It's going to be fun Buttercup, don't you worry." Bubbles offered a soft smile. "I just know it." She linked her arms with her partners in crime fighting, and the trio made their way up the stairs.

Floating to the top, the Powerpuff Girls touched down. Bubbles immediately pointed out a sign reading CERAMICS CLASS THIS WAY! in bright colors in front of a classroom door.

"Oh my gosh this is it! Come on! Let's go see Boomie!" She dashed in. Blossom followed, at a normal speed, and Buttercup just shook her head.

Bubbles was too fast to notice it, but the room she entered was a very typical art studio. Posters of famous paintings littered the walls. Sculptures made by students were on display in various corners of the room with the aggressive words DO NOT TOUCH on signs nearby. Drawing boards which where normally up at an angle for figure drawing were now level to provide support for the pottery wheels on top. The room was lively with people chatting and anxiously awaiting the beginning of the class.

No, she missed all of that.

Quickly locating his halo of blonde hair, she made a beeline straight into Boomer's embrace. "Hello my beautiful boy!" She chirped as she tackled him into a hug. Her face snuggled into his chest, taking in his scent of saltwater, earth, and glaze. Perfect. "I'm so excited to be here!" She looked up into his dark blue eyes and smiled.

Boomer grinned and gently used her braids to tickle her face. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? It's wonderful to see you my Bubbly." He gave her a kiss on her nose. "I'm happy you're here."

The blue puff laughed, a sound bright and pure. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." Turning, she waved her arm to her sisters, who were still waiting by the doorway. "Blossom! Buttercup! Over here!" Someone might have thought she was flagging down a ship, she was waving so hard.

The two remaining puffs exchanged a look and steeled their nerves as they made their way over to the blue duo.

"Hello again Boomer, nice to see you again." Blossom gave him a brief handshake, slightly unsure as to how she should greet the boy who was taking out her baby sister. "We're very excited to be taking your class. Thank you again for inviting us."

Boomer smiled in that easy-going way of his as they shook hands. "Hey now, thank you three for coming! Without you, this place would be dead as a doornail. We really appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to make an appearance."

Buttercup, who up until this point had not been paying much attention and had been picking at her hands, took a jab to the side from Blossom's killer elbow. "Ow! Motherfu-I mean! Yeah, yeah. It's our, uh, pleasure and whatnot." She let out an anxious laugh as Blossom narrowed her eyes.

Bubbles watched the whole interaction amused. "Right. Well, when do we start class?" She looked up at Boomer and the two shared a smirk.

"Soon enough, just waiting on a few stragglers to fly on in here." His eyes wandered to the door.

Blossom raised an eyebrow. "Fly..?"

"Don't you fucking DARE break anything today, you hear me?" An all too familiar voice shouted from down the hallway, and all heads shot up at the sound.

Buttercup and Blossom spun around in the blink of an eye and in unison, shouted/whispered, "No way!"

And indeed, flew in the remainder of the Rowdyruff Boys. Butch floated in first, seething with barely contained rage after being publicly reprimanded. Then followed Brick, already pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing.

Bubbles could barely contain herself, and she squeezed Boomer's hand trying to release some of the nervous energy. "Oh, here we go!"

Both Brick and Butch's eyes locked onto Bubbles when she spoke, then they each snapped to their counterparts.

Butch got a maniacal smile on his face when their green eyes met, while Buttercup seemed too stunned to react.

"Excuse me, what the fuck?" She blinked, trying to make sense of the situation.

Butch zoomed over to where she was. "Well well well! This day just got 1000 times better! Wassup, Buttercup?"

She scowled. "Butch. What hole did you just crawl out of?" She crossed her arms, but didn't seem completely unhappy at this turn of events.

"Best one in town! I know you're familiar with it." He shot her a wink.

Blossom and Brick for their part merely regarded each other with an empty smile. He wandered over. "Hiya Bloss, didn't realize you and the gal pals were coming too." His eyes flicked to his brother's. "Boom here forgot to mention that detail when he coerced us into joining him." There was a quiet threat behind his words.

"Good morning, Brick. Nice to see you're not out prowling the streets. And, much to my surprise, we were uninformed as well. Bubbles didn't say anything to us either." Blossom flipped her hair over her shoulder as Brick approached. She didn't appear to be too upset either.

Brick laughed. "Hey, I'll prowl your streets anytime sweet cheeks. But I think our little boy blue has some explaining to do." All heads turned to the blue couple.

Bubbles was sort of bouncing for joy. And Boomer stood his ground when confronted with his red-haired brother.

"Well," he began as Bubbles leaned against him, "we couldn't very well have a couples pottery class without couples! Surprise!" Finally releasing the secret she had been holding all day, she hugged Boomer's arm with enough force to break normal bones.

"What?!" Four voices yelled.

"I'm sorry, did you just say couples pottery? As in chick in the front, dude in the back? That cheesy-ass shtick?" Buttercup sent an exasperated look to her peppy sister, suddenly regretting caving into her demand.

Bubbles nodded excitedly. "Exactly! It's going to be just like the movie Ghost!"

"Isn't that the movie where that girl kinda fucks a dead guy?" Buttercup facepalmed and slid her hand down her cheeks. "You have GOT to be kidding!"

Bubbles stomped her foot. "How dare you insult that masterpiece! Patrick Swayze, may he rest in peace, was phenomenal in that movie! It was nominated for so many awards! And NO, they only danced a little bit after he possessed the medium!" She frowned, angry lines forming on her forehead. "This is a cute idea!"

"Yeah, maybe for you and Blueberry Boy over there but there's no way in hell you're making me do this with that fucker." She pointed over at Butch, who was currently picking at a hangnail on this index finger.

"You talkin' to me?" His eyes darted back and forth from the two sisters.

They ignored him.

Bubbles marched up to Buttercup with determination. "Oh yes, you will!" They were nose to nose now.

Blossom could sense a fight about to break out and quickly stepped in between the two. "Hey! Break it up you guys!" She managed to wedge some space between them. "Girls, we can talk about this rationally. Bubbles," she turned to the blonde, "you did kind of blindside us with this twist. However, Buttercup," she then turned to her other sister, "I have reason to believe that this will not be as bad as you think." She stared pointedly into Buttercup's eyes.

A beat passed. Somehow, the message was received and Buttercup finally groaned and hung her head. "Fine then. As long as Bozo knows who's in charge." She stuck her thumb at the boy over her shoulder.

Butch let out a laugh and strutted over to her. "What can I say? I love a woman who knows what she wants. Let's go pick out a seat, Boss Babe."

Buttercup buried her face in her hands as she followed after him. "Lord, lend me your strength or someone is going to die in the next 5 minutes."

Brick had watched this whole situation play out with quiet amusement. Once the green pair were across the room, he turned to Blossom "Well then Pinky," he picked up a lock of her fiery hair and smelled it, "that mean it's you and me?" He smirked.

Blossom had to fight to keep the blood from rushing to her face at his actions. "It would appear so, Brick. That is, if that's alright with you?" She stared into his face.

Bubbles noted with pure joy that the red-haired pair seemed to be getting along swimmingly. She watched as Brick nodded with that half-smile on his face and gently guided Blossom over to a seat.

She bit her lip to keep from screaming in happiness. "You were totally right, Boomie! They're definitely sneaking around." She could almost feel the chemistry in the air, it was so noticable. "Do you think they would have openly admitted that on their own?"

Boomer kissed the top of her head. "Doubtful, my bros are as stubborn as they come. And from that encounter we just had, I'd wager Blossom and Buttercup are the same way." He laughed then. "We really are quite the family circus, aren't we?"

Bubbles sighed in content, pleased to have affection. "We certainly are." She glanced at the clock. "Ooh! It's time for class to start! Go do your thing, my boy!" She kissed his cheek and gave his hand a squeeze before skipping to find her own chair.

Her beau stood up in front of the class and everyone quieted down. "Alright, everyone! Thank you so much for an incredible turn out to support the studio! We really appreciate it, give yourselves a round of applause!" He began to clap, and his students joined in. "Very nice, very nice. Now then, who's ready to get their hands dirty?"

A few people laughed and raised their hands. Butch was one of them, much to Buttercup's annoyance.

Boomer smiled then. "Rad! Then let's go over a few pot-throwing basics. The part that spins is the wheel of course, and the flat disc that comes off is called the bat. Now..." He continued to drill Pottery 101 into everyone's mind for a while, until he deemed it was time for a demonstration. "You could listen to me stand up here and talk all day, but that doesn't mean anything until you see it for yourself, and then get to try it yourself. So here we go."

Going over to a large bag of greyish clay, Boomer sliced off a chunk with a metal wire. He molded the clay into a round lump with his hands and Bubbles watched in fascination as he quite literally threw it down onto the wheel before her.

He shot her a wink and whispered, "Hope you don't mind me borrowing your space for a bit." Using the pedal at his feet to make the wheel spin, Boomer wet his hands and began to center the clay. "Alright folks, remember to keep your hands wet. If not, you risk drying out the clay, ruining your progress on your piece, and hurting your skin. Use the water, it's your friend."

The wheel picked up speed, and Bubbles felt new love for her Rowdyruff as he slowly began to mold the once formless clay into a simple and functional vase shape. She knew he could make much more complex work, but this was a beginner class for a reason. Just making anything with your bare hands felt amazing, like bringing something to life.

"And we'll just make a nice lip on the top of this here...and that's your basic ceramics!" Everyone clapped once again as Boomer removed the bat from the wheel and showed the class his latest creation. "Not too bad, right? Any questions?"

Blossom's hand shot up immediately.

Boomer and Bubbles shared a furtive glance. "Yes, ma'am?"

"So you remember my sister," she looked sideways at Bubbles, "mentioned this being a couples class? How exactly does this work with two people?"

The blue ruff rinsed his hands and dried them as he answered. "Well, there's two of you, which means two sets of hands and fingers to center and pull the clay, right? Don't think of it as 'you do this, I'll do that.' You are a team, work together. And most importantly, try to have some fun. That's what this is all about." Effectively quieting any questions Blossom may have had, Boomer waved his hand over to the heap of clay. "Now come over here, and let's start throwing some pots!"

One by one, each pair came up to receive their share of cold, grey, wet dirt as Buttercup described it. Soon, they began to use the techniques they had been taught. There were a few clarifications and critiques, but overall, things seemed to be starting off well.

Blossom and Brick bickered back and forth for ages on technique and style, but there was undeniable familiarity in the way they worked together. The way she ever so slightly leaned into his chest and the way he smiled into her hair did not go unnoticed by Bubbles. It was so subtle, but Bubbles was the queen of romance and didn't miss anything. If she hadn't known better, she would have thought they had been together for ages.

But then again, maybe they had.

Butch and Buttercup were also working together remarkably well. For the most part, they would just squish their hands into the wet clay and laugh (it was a satisfying feeling) but actual progress was made when the two worked together and tried to create something. Not to mention the way Buttercup could bark out commands to Butch and he would happily follow along like a puppy. Whenever she would get snippy with him for not following her directions, he would make the effort to try and appease her. It was...cute.

Bubbles was unfortunately unable to have the couple experience with Boomer for very long, as he was frequently needed to assist other groups. It's fine, remember it's not about you. Still, she sighed as she started at the small mound of clay spinning in front of her. She couldn't help but feel a tiny bit left out as all the other couples in class were having fun together while she was flying solo.

Some tears stung the backs of her eyes as she formed her clay into a small pot. No, don't cry Bubbles, don't cry! Bubbles blinked rapidly to try and force her tears back. She took a deep breath, and forced herself to concentrate.

A few minutes later, she was satisfied. Stopping her wheel, the blonde girl studied her creation. It was a small pot, just big enough to put a fist into. She had needed a new place to put her earrings, her jewelry box was getting full. "You know, that's not too shabby!" She smiled and removed her disc to show Boomer. "Boomie look! I'm finished! Whatcha think?"

His blue eyes lit up as she approached. He stood up from where he was helping a couple of girls with their wheel. "Hey! Not bad! Not bad at all! A cute little guy, kind of a monkey pod shape!" He smiled at her, melting away her apprehensions. "Well done my girl."

Bubbles returned the smile. "Thank you, Boomer." Her eyes drifted downward, suddenly feeling a bit shy. "Where... where should I put this to dry?"

"Oh yeah! This way, over by the kiln! We can fire them next week after we glaze them." He took her hand and led her to a storage room lined with huge racks full of all kinds of sculptures and pottery. "Would you like to see my latest piece? It's in here as well."

Bubbles nodded in excitement, the movement sending her braids bouncing. "Of course! Your art never fails to impress."

He sent her a loving half grin and guided her over to a corner of the room, a really inconspicuous little spot. "Ta-da! What do you think?" He whispered in her ears.

Bubbles gasped and tears immediately started welling up in her eyes for the second time in an hour. But this was for an entirely different reason. "Oh, Boomer, it's beautiful..."

Boomer had carved...her. But not just a simple, run-of-the-mill wood carving like he had done previously (not that those were any less special). No, this time he had taken great care and precision to onto stone.

And not just any stone at that. It was white and pearly, and Bubbles' first thought was granite, but the faint streaks and swirls meant her boy had preserved her onto marble. One of the toughest rocks in the world.

"You really like it, Bubs?" Boomer exhaled a breath. "Thank God, I was so nervous about this one, I'm so glad you like it." He invited her to take a closer look. "Of course, it's nothing compared to your real face, all beautiful and perfect." A kiss landed on her cheek. "But I did my very best, I had to do you the justice you deserve."

At his words, the tears did spill out onto her cheeks, making wet tracks on her skin. "I...I don't even know what to say." She took in the portrait, trying to take note of every single detail Boomer had captured.

Her hair fell from her head in waves, and it looked soft enough to touch. Big eyes with long, delicate eyelashes graced her face. A beatific smile formed by pillowy lips danced just below those eyes. "Is this, really how you see me?" She sniffed, trying to reign in her emotions as she turned to the boy she so adored.

He swiped her tears away with his fingers, rough from so many hours of work. "No," he began, "you're even more beautiful in person Bubbles. No artist can even attempt to make something as glorious as you." His lips whispered over hers, tasting the salt of her tears.

"Oh, Boomie..." She pushed their mouths together, morphing them as one as her heart ached to join his. "You are so wonderful, I don't know what I did to deserve you." She released him and her gaze fell downward.

Boomer smoothed her hair and tugged on her braids. "Hey, that's my line." He chuckled, drawing her close. "Don't you ever think you don't deserve to be adored, my girl."

At that, Bubbles laughed. "Now how conceited does that sound?"

They laughed together, a sound perfect enough to be a song. Boomer exhaled onto her skin, wanting to keep her there forever. "I really don't know what I would do without you, it's like you've swallowed my heart and now it's walking around outside without me. You know how terrifying that is?"

The Powerpuff Girl ran her hands through his blonde hair. It felt so soft, like down. "Yes, because you must have done the same thing to me when I wasn't looking." She kissed his lips.

He held her there. "Hey now, what's the big rush?" He sent her a naughty smile.

She giggled and was just about to resume their kiss when a loud bang! sounded from back inside the studio.

Boomer groaned as two different voices yelled, "Butch! What the fuck did you do?"

"Guess that's your big rush." Bubbles could not stop laughing.

He sent her a look. "This isn't over, missy. Gotta go be the adult again." He gave her one last peck before reverting back to teacher mode and stepping back in front of his students. "Excuse me, what's going on here?"

Bubbles trailed after him, trying to stop laughing as she took in the scene in front of her.

Butch was pinned to the wall by both Buttercup and Brick. They each looked ready to bite his head off. There was clay on the ceiling somehow, with most of a quite lovely pot now in ruins on the floor.

Blossom was trying, unsuccessfully, to wedge herself in between Brick and his brother, scolding him as she did. "Brick! We are in public! This is not the time or the place to dish out punishment." She yanked on his arm. "And Buttercup! You should know better than to gang up on someone like this!"

Buttercup narrowed her eyes, her gaze never leaving Butch. "This piece of shit started it, I'm just finishing it!"

"Blossom, do us all a favor, and keep your opinions to yourself, why don't ya? Trust me, we'll all be better off after I get this fucker's ass." Brick grit his teeth, smoke starting to seep from his very being.

Butch had the nerve to laugh in their faces. "Yeah, yeah. The best laid plans or whatever. But you've gotta admit, we sent that thing flying BC!" His body shook with how hard he was laughing.

Boomer sighed before heading over to keep the peace. "Alright, alright! Enough you four!" Using all the strength he had, he pushed the couples away from the wall and sent them all sprawling onto the floor.

Buttercup rubbed her head. "Yowwch! When in the hell did you get so strong?" She unconsciously looked over at Butch, making sure he was, mostly, unharmed.

Brick was the first to get up, and he immediately ran over to help Blossom stand. "You alright there, chick?"

She graciously accepted his hand and stood. "A little rattled, but nothing is broken, thankfully. How're you?" She dusted herself off as she turned to him.

He readjusted the cap on his head and shrugged. "Two arms, two legs, head. Check. All present and accounted for."

Bubbles watched this whole scene with great interest. She waged an internal battle with herself before deciding to blurt out, "Eeeee! I just KNEW you guys were in love! And this proves it!" She put her hands on her hips, daring any of them to object.

Which of course, they did.

Four voices immediately began to protest.

"What?! Absolutely not! With him!? Never!"

"Hell would freeze over if I hung around with this bossy bitch. Fuck that, give me the heat any day."

"Get real, as if I could ever stand to be around this waste of space for more than 7 minutes at a time."

"Hey! This waste of space saved your ass the other day, so that must make you an even BIGGER waste!"

With everyone talking over each other, it was hard to make sense of what was going on. But Bubbles was on a mission.

Today had been the day she was going to get her sisters to admit their relationship with the boys. She hadn't know how she was going to do it, but Bubbles had always been great at figuring things out as she went.

She sought out her sisters' gaze, and held it, trying her hardest to make them tell the truth. She knew when they were hiding something.

Blue, pink, and green mixed together and Blossom and Buttercup went quiet. The two shared a quick glance and finally hung their heads in defeat.

Their silent surrender was music to Bubbles' ears. Or heart. "YES! We did it Boomie!" She squealed.

Butch and Brick's jaws could have hit the floor. "We?!"

Boomer laughed and placed his arm around Bubbles' shoulders. "We hatched this scheme together because we knew you four were getting all cozy-like. Figured it was about time to let the cat out of the bag."

Brick just sat there, stunned at the level of cunning his little brother had developed.

Butch, on the other hand, seemed elated at this new development. "FUCK YES! That means no one is going to beat my ass whenever I have Butterbabe over again!" His fist flew up into the air in victory.

"Uh, what the hell dumbass? You're just going to announce that to the whole world like it's no big fucking deal?" She made to clobber him, but he just scooped her up into a bear hug and laughed.

"Hell yeah! I've got the best woman ever, who wouldn't want to show her off." He swung her around like a rag doll as her face began to burn.

Blossom tentatively touched Brick's arm. "Brick? Are you alright?" When he didn't respond, she sighed. "Then, maybe...it's for the best we don't do this anymore." She whispered as turned away. Brick caught her wrist.

"No." His hand slid down to wrap around hers. "No, I want you in my life Bloss. And if that means public humiliation and shame. So be it." He sent her a lazy half smile that made her knees feel like jelly.

Bubbles could have screamed in happiness. "We actually pulled it off!"

All around them, applause and cheers broke out and the superhumans suddenly realized they were still very much in a public setting. A few people had tears in their eyes while others were filming and taking photos.

Bubbles could hear Buttercup grumble about never being able to live this down, but she knew her sister was somewhat excited about the attention.

Boomer gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Alright lovebirds, you've caused enough of a show for one day. Now help me clean up this mess you've made!"

Three voices begrudgingly agreed (Blossom was always willing to help), and the blue duo watched in satisfaction as their siblings went to work.

The blonde girl sighed in happiness. "What a day."

About an hour later, class was finally over and all the participants had promised to return the following week to glaze their work after they were fired in the kiln.

Blossom, Buttercup, Brick, and Butch were among the last to leave.

"So...same time next week?" Buttercup flipped a paint brush into the air and caught it. "No more clay on the ceiling next time, that was a nightmare to get out." She tossed it again and yelled when Butch snatched it before she could.

Boomer laughed. "Same bat time, same bat place! And yes, please. Clay should remain on the ground, where it belongs."

Brick and Blossom were chatting nearby. Ever since the bomb about their relationship had been dropped, the two were much more relaxed. Bubbles watched as he tucked her hair behind her ears with the utmost care.

"Any plans for tonight? We could do dinner at that new sushi place you were talkin' about." His raspy voice was almost a whisper.

Bubbles saw her sister blush and nod her head. "Damn, Blossy. You've got it bad for that one." She clicked her tongue, wondering how she had kept it secret for so long.

"Bubbles! Blossom! We're leaving!" Buttercup had seemingly had enough of Butch for one day and made for the door as Butch tried to hold her back.

"Aww! Come on, Butters! You know you love me. Can't stay mad at this face!" He pouted. His only reward was a slug to the jaw. "Yeah, okay. Deserved that one. Let's go." He stumbled out of the room, Buttercup right behind him.

Bubbles waved her siblings off. "You go on without me! I'm going to stay here and help Boomer finish putting things away!"

Blossom looked over her shoulder. "Are you sure Bubbles? If there's that much work, we can all stay and help."

Brick smirked and led his beauty to the door. "Nah, don't trouble yourself Bloss. They'll be fine." He sent a wink towards his blue brother. Don't fuck anything up was the hidden message.

Blossom frowned. "Oh, well if you're sure..." she kept talking even as they passed through the doorway.

"I'll see you at home! Look both ways before crossing the street!" Bubbles bid her family farewell and finally shut the door behind them. "Phew! I thought they'd never leave."

She felt a presence behind her and Boomer's arms snaked around her waist. "Me neither." He breathed into her hair, making goosebumps appear on her neck.

She relaxed into his embrace, taking in the way he felt against her. "This feels nice." She tried to ignore the heat that was now beginning to head towards her core.

Boomer gave her a squeeze. "Yeah, it does." He gently turned her to face him and cupped her face in his hands. "Thank you for everything you've done today, milady."

Bubbles giggled and blew out a huff of air towards her bangs. "No, thank you Boomie! I think life is going to be so much more enjoyable now that that dirty little secret is out."

He smiled and gave her a slow kiss. "I think you're right." He said against her lips. "But you know something? Life with you was already the best it could ever be, Bubbles."

She moaned against him, the small ember of heat now growing into a raging fire inside. "Boomer, I..."

He quieted her. "Hey hey, it's you and me. There's nothing and no one more wonderful." He undid her braids and loosened her hair into wavy pieces. It was so soft, like touching starlight.

Taking her by the hand, the Rowdyruff Boy led Bubbles to a corner of the classroom with lots of pillows and blankets.

Bubbles laughed a bit. "Why in the world are there pillows and blankets in here?"

Boomer felt his cheeks turn red. "Well, I...sometimes have to sleep in the studio and I brought these from home." He admitted.

"Boomie! No!" She gasped. "That's so incredibly not fair to you! Who is responsible for making you so that?" Bubbles was extremely disturbed by the fact that her boy had to sleep where he studied.

Boomer quickly backpedaled. "No no! I choose to do it, my professor has offered to let me stay at his place nearby, but it's just easier to wake up and get right back into it." An embarrassed chuckle escaped him. "Speaking of that, shall we...get back into this?" He asked hopefully.

Bubbles pretended to think. "Hmm, I'm still not sure I'm okay with you spending the night here all alone." His fingers crept up her shoulders. "But maybe you can make it up to me." She gave him a tap on the nose.

Shaking out her hair, the blue puff sat down and kicked off her sneakers. "Come! Sit!" She commanded.

He willingly obliged, pulling her down with him. "As you wish."

She smiled. "Does that make you Westley?" She began to undo the snaps of her overalls.

Boomer's eyes glazed over as he watched her undress. "Only if you'll be my Bubblecup." He was serious, but she laughed anyway.

"Buttercup secretly loves that movie, especially because her name is in it." She slid the denim over her legs and wiggled her toes in her fuzzy, blue socks.

"Well, I love you. Always and forever." He slid a hand up her soft skin, suddenly wondering if he was good enough for her.

Bubbles melted at his words. "Oh Boomer, I love you too." She brought him close and kissed him senseless, a feeling she could never get over.

Suddenly feeling very overdressed, Boomer pulled off his shirt in one fluid motion, tossing it aside to be rescued later. "You sure about this, Bubs? We can always stop when you wa-oof!"

She interrupted him by tackling him to the ground. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! You're the one for me, my blue boy." She bat her eyelashes as she slipped her hands down his chest.

The Rowdyruff Boy struggled to breathe as the girl of his dreams left trails of fire on his skin. She gently undid the tie of his pants and began to slip them down his thighs.

Sure, he had imagined this exact scene a million times at night (and sometimes during the day), but nothing could compare to the living, breathing Powerpuff Girl on top of him.

And he was living for it.

Kicking the rest of his pants off, Boomer flipped their positions and devoured Bubbles' lips. Teeth, tongues, skin. Pulling, biting, moaning.

Each move Boomer made drove Bubbles closer and closer to that fire he had lit within her. Being brave, she tugged off her t-shirt and sat in her lacy bra. "Do...you wanna touch them?"

Boomer blinked in awe. "Sure I won't hurt you?" He unconsciously rubbed his fingers, feeling the rough skin from sculpting.

But his girl shook her head. "You could never. Plus! That means I can touch you too! Right?" Damn she was good.

She brought his hands to her breasts and slowly put them in. "See? It's okay. It's you and me, remember?"

He began to relax. His fingers gently squeezed. "Yeah, you and me." The blonde boy grew bolder, his sneaky fingers dipped under the lace and felt the softness of her flesh underneath.

Bubbles let out a squeak. "Keep going..." She whispered, her eyes hazy.

His entire hand snuck under the cloth and fully cupped her breasts, warm and soft. Exactly like Bubbles. Her bra slipped off her shoulders and she completely took the wretched garment off. She shivered slightly as the air hit her chest and stiffened her nipples.

Boomer tried not to stare at her beautiful body, but it was hard not to. Round and full, the very essence of a woman filled her breasts. Pink circles, perfectly symmetric sat in the center. He could feel all the blood drain into his dick that was starting to become somewhat painful.

Snapping himself out of his trance, he rubbed his arms up her shoulders. "Are you could? I can turn the heat up if we need to."

Bubbles looked up at him through her eyelashes. "That's very kind of you, Boomer. But I think it will be plenty warm, in just a moment." She pushed him down and slipped her hand between his legs, feeling the hard length he still had hidden. "Oh, come out to play, why don't you?" She giggled as she pulled his underwear down his legs, his erection finally free.

He hissed as the air hit his skin. Now I know why she was shivering. Counting his breaths, Boomer watched as Bubbles stood and shed her final undergarment as well. He could have passed out with how beautiful she was, he was going to have art inspiration for weeks.

"Come here, my love." She laid back against the soft pillows, opening her arms and legs to his body.

Boomer followed, hypnotized by Bubbles. "As you wish..." He laid above her, propped up by his elbows as his hard length brushed against her slick folds.

She sighed as she felt her body above hers, a feeling she decided was her new favorite. "Take me, Boomer." She clung to his shoulders, thrusting her hips to meet his.

He fumbled around, heart beating extremely hard. Finally figuring out where exactly his penis was and what he was supposed to do with it, Boomer breathed out in relief when he felt her open. "Deep breaths, okay?" He stated, half to himself, half to her as he slid completely inside.

Bubbles gasped at the sensation but immediately relaxed. His cock was hard and hot inside her, melting her insides into happy mush. "Gosh, you feel amazing, do that again?" She asked breathlessly.

Holding onto her shoulders for leverage, Boomer thrust his hips against hers, swearing never to forget this moment even in death. "Anything for you, my lady." Beads of sweat formed in his forehead, and he could feel more running down his back, making him shudder.

Her breasts bounced as they connected, making her laugh and hold onto them. "Excuse me ladies, please return to your assigned seats!" She moaned as he hit a particularly sensitive spot within her womb. "Oh my gosh."

Boomer knew he needed to hold on. For her. Nice guys finish last for a reason. His long fingers left her shoulders and headed south. He rubbed the bunch of nerves just so, and she screamed.

Bubbles felt like she was flying when she knew perfectly well she was lying flat on her back. Never before in her life had she felt this way, not even when she had gone hardcore to one up her sisters. Nothing could compare to the full feeling of Boomer inside her and his breath on her neck. She made a promise to repeat this, and repeat it often.

As she came down, Boomer thrust into her slick, hot walls a few more times before slipping out and cumming onto the blanket beside her. As much as his boy hormones were telling him to stay and finish inside, he knew Bubbles would appreciate saving that for later. "Whoa. Oh my God, Bubs."

She panted slightly, turning to face him. "Whoa is right, that was incredible Boomie." She kissed him, tasting his sweat. "Thank you for sharing that with me." She gave him the sweetest smile before leaping up and gathering her clothes.

He watched her, shocked that someone could still be so graceful after having sex. Then he shook his head, this was Bubbles he was talking about. Of course she would be agile after anything.

Bubbles got dressed and searched for her hair ties. Finding them, she tied her hair into her signature pigtails before throwing a look at the still-naked boy behind her. "Well come on, lazy bones! We're going for ice cream to celebrate!"
