Let's dance in style, let's dance for a while
They laughed as they danced, watching as couples, Finn and Rachel, Quinn and Joe, Mercedes and Sam, Santana and Brittany, Kurt and Blaine, Tina and Mike twirled each other. Laughing as Sugar free styled waving her hands around and imitating disco moves. Artie joined in with the sprinkler and Sugar stopped dancing so she could laugh. Rory linked arms with Mercedes who was nearest him and spun her around hopping as he did so, everyone laughed as Mercedes imitated his action with Sam. Soon they were all linking arms and twirling around, laughing as they did so. They were all intoxicated and they were all having the most fun.
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
They were out on Rachel's lawn now, looking up at the stars, laughing still. Finn and Rachel were making out, Blaine had his head rested on Kurt's shoulder, Quinn and Joe were in the corner deep in conversation, Mercedes and Sam stood in the other corner stargazing with Santana, Brittany, Tina, Mike, Artie, Sugar, Puck and Rory. Everyone was happy.
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst

Inevitably a drunken argument broke out, tonight it was between Finn and Rachel. Noone heard the cause of the argument, but they all saw Rachel stomp back into the house and a pretty sober Finn and Puck march away to the end of the lawn.

"Should we go after her?" Mercedes slurred, from where she was star gazing.
"No look at the shooting star with the flashing light." Brittany jumped up and down, pointing to a 'star' that was flashing green.
Tina rolled her eyes. "That's a plane." She pointed out. "At least I think it is." She added, with a sigh.
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short tripThe music's for the sad man
They'd moved inside where Mercedes and Sam were hogging Rachel's karaoke machine.
"Make it stop." Santana groaned, as they began singing their forth love song.
"I want a turn." Tina stated to Mike, who was trying to dance her around the room.
Sugar sat on Artie's lap, while Rory stood in the corner glaring at them. Quinn and Joe where slow dancing, and Rachel, Finn and Puck were still MIA.
"That's it." Santana snatched the microphone out of Mercedes hand and changed the song to something more upbeat. Mercedes was unphased, as Sam handed his microphone over to Brittany so she could duet with her girlfriend.
Mercedes grabbed Sam and soon they were all dancing around the room again.
Can you imagine when this race is won?
"If we sing that song," Tina slurred. "you know da da da da da da da da, ooh eeh ooh ah ah," She demonstrated. "at nationals then we're gonna win."
"What song?" Kurt frowned.
"I think she's singing the witch doctor one." Blaine stated.
"Oh." Kurt acknowledged before joining in at the top of his voice.
"Make it stop." Quinn groaned, with a foot stomp as Sugar joined in with the song. Quinn shot Joe a glare. "Seriously Joseph make it stop!"

The whole group was singing now, Santana had started the sing along. Breaking into the Spice Girls 'Spice up you life', which the group now sung as loud as they physically could whilst dancing around Rachel's living room.

Santana had jumped off a sofa, ending the song with a hiss of pain. In a panic Brittany had placed a frozen chicken, taken from Rachel's freezer, on the ankle Santana was holding on to.
An unamused Quinn was shouting at them all. "Are you trying to give us all food poisoning?" She yelled trying to wiggle out of Joe's hold. "You don't go waving frozen chicken." She further yelled.
"Stop having a go at my girl." Santana yelled back. "Or I will go all Lima Heights on your ass Quinn Fabray."
"Ooh fight!" Sugar yelled, with an air punch.
"You heard the lady," Artie echoed. "fight!"
"Just put the damn chicken back in the damn freezer, wash you hands and find frozen peas like a normal human." Kurt chipped in, with an eye roll.
Mercedes turned to Sam. "Everyone's really dronk." She slurred.

The chicken had been wrestled back into the freezer by Puck who was the soberest person in the group and who had returned with an eye roll and a shake of his head. He'd made Santana and Brittany wash their hands so no raw chicken germs would be on them and then he'd taken several deep breaths and told everyone to calm down.
It had all gone well until Mercedes had praised him and Sam had got jealous resulting in a punch out.

Joe had broken up the fight and Finn had returned revealing he was really quite sober, he'd sorted out the Puck and Sam drama and wrote a note for Rachel to find in the morning explaining that frozen chicken was probably no longer good for eating.
Now he watched as they all danced again, singing the Time Warp loudly as they did so. Even though Rachel had drunkenly called him every name under the sun, because she'd thought he was looking at Santana too much, he couldn't help but smile at his friends as they danced around the room, and before he knew it he was forgetting the Rachel drama and joining in the dancing.

"Give me the vase." Puck tried to grab an expensive vase before Sugar could use it to puke into. Artie was still dancing and Rory was playing a game with Mike and Tina, so Puck had been saddled with a very drunk Sugar.
"It's not even that expensive." Sugar argued back, gagging as she spoke.
Puck rolled his eyes, regretting that he hadn't drank more. "Bathroom now." He barked. She dropped the vase, which thankfully he caught, and disappeared out the room. Puck tried to find the soberest girl in the room, realising it was probably Tina he sent her after Sugar, before catching Finn's eye and offering an eye roll. Finn just gave him a knowing smile.

Finn was ready to scream when Mercedes, Sam, Tina, Mike and Sugar entered Rachel's walk in shower fully clothed and turned the warm water on.
He watched in horror as they all got soaked through, clothing included. He didn't even know how to sort this one out so he just watched as they passed the shower head around and cheered as they soaked each other.

"Never leave." Quinn slurred clinging to Rory's hand. "Don't go back to Iremund, Iremund is stupid." She added. "And we'll miss you're cute Iremund accent and your Iremund face." She added.
Rory looked confused. "But Quinn I'm not from Iremund." He informed her matter a factly. "I don't think Iremund exists."
On the sofa Puck rolled his eyes as he watched Quinn try to explain she was very obviously referring to Ireland and Rory fail to understand her. It was going to be a long night.

The shower situation was truly out of hand and Finn decided he should probably step in when Kurt and a slightly more sober Blaine appeared, Brittany in towe.
"Ooh I want to get wet." Brittany squealed in excitement. Kurt laughed so much at her comment that Blaine had to hold him up.
"No one else is going into the shower." Finn declared. Mercedes gave him a thumbs down and Tina stuck out her tongue at him. "You guys should really come out of there." He added.
"Boo." Sugar jeered him. "Don't be a fun thief Finn." She added, opening the shower door and directing the water at Kurt, who squealed and took shelter behind Brittany.
"Okay that's it." Finn snapped.
What followed was Finn trying to wrestle the shower head and in the process soaking everyone in the room.
"Damn it I'm all wet now." Brittany pouted.
Finn shot her a glare.

Joe sat down beside Puck as his girlfriend fought Rory about Ireland. "Everyone is so drunk." He stated.
"Really, you noticed?" Puck responded his voice laced with sarcasm.
"Quinn's such a funny drunk." Joe commented watching as she shot Rory a glare and then broke into the American national anthem. Puck pursed his lips.
They were quickly joined by a drenched, Sugar, Sam, Mercedes, Brittany, Kurt, Blaine, Tina and Mike who all joined in with the anthem at the top of their voices before moving onto singing 'This Land Is Your Land', as Rory began to sing loudly over the top.

As he tried to clean the water which was everywhere in Rachel's bathroom, Finn let out a sigh. He could literally be doing anything else right now, but he'd agreed to be there for Rachel and even though she'd disappeared he wasn't just gonna leave.

Rachel lay on her bed a pillow covering her head trying to block out the noise of the others having fun downstairs. She was miserable and she didn't need to be reminded that everyone else was doing great.

As everyone continued to sing Puck sighed. They'd barely scratched the surface with patriotic songs and he knew the fact that Mercedes and Quinn were stood on the dinning room table wasn't a good thing. He tried to convinve them to come down, but it was no use, they'd called him boring and ignored him.

Miraculously everyone was in one piece when Finn and Puck herded them into the rooms set up for them, girls in the living room, boys in the basement, after a little convincing, they'd managed to separate the genders and everyone was out like a light bulb. Puck eyed Finn and they both nodded, sneaking out of the house and into the garden, beer in hand, tonight had been long and now it was there turn to drink.
