Hello again everyone! Sorry for not updating! And pleeeeease review and tell me if you like my story and if you want a bonus chapter on how Bruce got Extremis! And here is the next chapter in my story! I hope you like it!
"That's what we're here for." Tony said
"Yeah." Steve
"Bruce you can sit over there while I talk with them." Tony said as he gestured to a seat across the room near a table with a lot of lab equipment on it "There's a pair of pants and a shirt in the drawer next to it."
"O-okay. Thanks." Bruce replied as he fiddled with his hands
"You're welcome." Tony said, and then Bruce started walking over to the chair slowly
"So, no one who got injected survived or got cured?" Natasha said when Bruce was far enough away to not hear them
"No, I don't think so." Clint said and looked at Tony "Right Tony."
"Well...about that..."
"Someone who has it is still alive?!" Clint said quietly
"Well...they don't have it anymore..." Tony said
"You mean that someone with Extremis is still alive and you never thought to tell us?!" Clint said
"Um..."
"Who is it?" Steve asked
"Uh..." Tony said nervously as he glanced at Pepper
"Who is it?" Thor asked
"It's..." Tony said
"If we find them we might be able to get them to tell us how they got cured." Steve said "And then we could get Extremis out of Bruce."
"Here's the thing..." Tony said
"What?!" Clint asked "What's the thing?"
"I don't know how they got Extremis out of them." Tony exclaimed
"Yeah. That's why we need to find them. So we can ask them how they got cured." Clint stated
"We can't..."
"Why?" Thor asked
"Because they don't know either." Tony said in reply
"Why would they not know Tony?" Steve asked after a moment "Who are they?"
"...Because it was me..." Pepper stated after a few moments and everyone slowly turned to her
"What..." Steve said
"It was me...I kind of used to work with Killian...and then he took me and injected me with the Extremis virus..." Pepper stated as she looked down
"How do you not have it anymore?" Steve asked
"I-I don't know. One minute I'm falling down 300 feet and fighting Killian while I'm burning like fire, and the next I'm hugging Tony, not burning anymore and then we find Bruce."
"I think it might be because she didn't go through all three of the stages like Bruce did." Tony stated "Maybe the fall and all of the fire made it go away somehow."
"Yeah." Steve said and then looked at Pepper "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." Pepper replied
"Okay...I think I know how I can do this." Tony stated
"How?" Natasha asked
"Well...I want to take some of his blood so that I can look at the virus and so I can find away to get it out of him, and cure him basically." Tony explained
"Okay..." Clint said, glancing at Bruce who was now sitting down and still fidgeting with his hands while staring at the ground "Is he alright with needles?"
"I don't know." Tony said "Is he?"
"Have you read his file? He's not really comfortable around needles." Natasha said
"So does he have Trypanophobia like really bad or is it just..." Clint asked
"I don't know." Natasha said
"What's Trypanophobia?" Tony asked
"It's the fear of needles." Natasha said
"How do you not know that. I thought you were supposed to be a genius." Clint said and everyone but Tony and Bruce, who was still fidgeting with his hands, laughed
" Okay. think I know what I have to do." Tony said after a couple moments "I just need a little of his blood and I think I could make a cure thing that could help him fight it and make it go away like what happened with Pepper."
"Okay. Good." Steve said
"How long do we have?" Natasha asked "Until he could...explode."
"I don't know." Tony replied "With the way he's like, and with the Hulk...maybe a week...or less."
"Then we need to hurry." Clint said
"Yeah." Steve agreed and then they all went over to Bruce
"Hey." Tony said as he pulled a chair from the other side of the table and sat next to Bruce
"Hi." Bruce replied quietly, not looking up
"Are you okay?" Tony asked
"Yeah." Bruce replied again
"Are you sure." Tony asked
"Yeah." Bruce replied again nervously
"Okay." Tony said, getting up from the chair and walking over to his equipment
"Okay." Tony whispered to himself as he looked through the cabinets untill he found a needle and a syringe to draw blood "Okay..."
Tony turned around and walked slowly towards Bruce
"Hey bud." Tony said and Bruce looked up and when he saw the needle he got up and started to back away slowly with a hint of fear in his orangish greenish brown eyes
"No. Bruce it's okay." Tony said as he walked towards Bruce slowly who's eyes were getting greener and brighter
Bruce started backing away more quickly as his breathing started to get heavier
"Bruce it's okay. Just calm down." Natasha said as she took a step towards him, and saw the fear in his eyes "Tony put the syringe down. Now."
Tony threw the syringe across the floor to the other side of the room and Bruce's breathing started to slow as he calmed down
"Now we know he has Trypanophobia bad." Clint said quietly to Natasha as they all ran over to Bruce in worry
"Yeah." Natasha said
