Thank you for the support I hope you enjoy
Olivia and Alex walked into Olivia's job after one day after Alex got done with practice and before the roommates' game. They sat down at a table. Alex looked at the menu.
"You know for a night club this menu is big."
"Well the owners like to take advantage of the night and the day." Olivia put her leather jacket on the back of the chair. She stood up "What do you want to drink?"
"What are you drinking?"
"Uh, a water or a sprite." Olivia waved off.
"Do you don't drink because of your mom?" She noticed she has never seen Olivia drink alcohol.
"Yeah, something like that."
"Then I'll have water too." Alex smiled.
"Alex, you can have a drink. I'm used to it. Shoot I make drinks for a living everyone drinks around me." Olivia smiled.
"And I'm training so I don't drink anyways."
Olivia smirked of how considerate of Alex was being. "I'll be right back." Olivia walked behind the bar to make their waters.
"You're in trouble." Rafael walked up to Olivia.
Olivia looked to her companion, "No, I'm not."
"No?" He said, "What is she doing here?"
Olivia looked at Alex, and back to Barba. "She got done with her training for the day and we are going to Amanda's game." She looked at Rafael who's eyebrows were raised in judgment. "What?"
"Why were you at her practice? And I thought you hated her. And you're going to a soft ball game together?"
"I never said I hated her, we just had a misunderstanding." She worked on making her a drink.
"Yeah your eyes are saying much more. You need to tell Amanda."
Olivia rolled her eyes, "Grab her drink, and come talk to her. Oh and to take our order." Olivia scrunched her nose to her friend.
"I don't want to be in the middle of you and the date."
"It's not a date." Olivia quickly rejected the comment. They walked to the table.
"Hey you two." Alex greeted as Olivia sat down placing the cocktail she made Alex down.
"Hey, so Rafael will be taking our order." Olivia explained to Alex.
"Okay. How are you doing?" She smiled at Olivia's friend.
"I'm doing good. What are you two eating, Mushroom swiss Liv?" Barba knowing what his friend eats. Olivia nodded, "Alex what can I get for you?"
"Can I have the house salad? But no cheese or meat please?" Alex didn't want to be a pain but also had to stick to her eating habits.
"What kind of dressing?"
"Do you have a vinaigrette?"
"Yes. I'll be back." Rafael walked away to put in their orders.
Alex looked at the drink in front of her, and back to Olivia, "I told you. You didn't have to get me a drink."
"Well it's been made, are you going to drink it or let it sit there." Olivia gave her a crooked smile.
"Since you made it." she picked up the blue beverage to take a sip of it. "Blueberry lemonade?"
Olivia nodded her head, "How does it taste."
"I like it. Vodka? But you can't get me drunk." Alex smiled at the brunette.
"And What if I want to get you drunk?" Olivia cocked her brow.
Alex bit her bottom lip. She needed a moment to answer Olivia, she took another sip out of the drink, "I guess you will have to answer Donnelly."
"Alexandra are you saying you don't have control over your own actions." Olivia gasps at the comment.
Alex chuckled, "I never have control over my actions. I'm always being told what to do, how to eat, what to weigh, where to go and who to go with. Especially since the season is starting up soon." Alex rolled her eyes at her situation.
Olivia put her hand out. "Your mom or your coach?"
"Yes." Alex raised her glass to Olivia, "And my manager." She placed her free hand into Olivia's hand. "Soon you think I live at the rink now, wait for a month."
Olivia's thumb rubbed Alex's hand, as she admired Alex's smile, "What's going to happen in a month?"
"Events, other competitions leading up to the nationals, a bunch of PR appearances, if I'm lucky a magazine photo shoot." Alex started tooting her own horn.
Olivia tilted her head hearing the schedule, "And you love all the attention am I right?"
Alex squinted her eyes at Olivia not liked being called out, "Attention is amazing. It gives me confidence." She straightened her posture. "But my goal is the olympics this year. Nothing, and No one will get in my way."
"So if your mom finds out about you and Amanda…"
"Well I don't know what Amanda and I are anyways. So I think I might break it off with her when the season is in full swing." She confessed.
"Does she know?" Olivia needed to know about the well being of her roommate.
"We know we aren't in love, and it wasn't this life changing connection. We're just having fun." Alex explained the situation. Olivia nodded as she drank her water. "Why did she say something to you?"
"No, but you also didn't seem like the person who just have sex with someone. Or at least that's how you sounded with me and my activities." Olivia commented.
"I'm full of mysteries." Alex smiled, "But I thought I wanted more with Amanda but she's not the girl, so we're having fun."
Olivia's ears perked up hearing how Amanda isn't Alex's girl. "So do you have anyone in mind?"
Alex stared at Olivia. Her nose flared and bit her inner lip. "I'm not sure if I want to answer that." She looked down at their hands and pulled her hand away.
Olivia smirked at Alex's response, "So there is someone you have on your mind." Olivia was fishing on that vague answer. The brown eyes looked into the blue eyes. Alex slowly shook her head to Olivia as she looked at the crooked smile.
"Here you two go." Barba placed their two entrees on the table. He didn't want to bother the moment. "Well… enjoy."
"Hey do you want to go to the game?" Olivia invited.
Barba looked at the two thirsty women, "You want me to go to a softball game. With the two of you."
Olivia looked at Rafael. "Yeah, why not?"
"So you two can act like I don't exist, while I watch a sport I could really careless about?" He freely admitted the feeling of the room. Olivia gave dagger eyes Rafael for calling them out, "Yeah that is a hard pass. And I'm pulling a double."
Alex watched the two interact. "Okay if you don't want to go to the softball game. I have a charity event in a month. Would you two like to go?"
"She would love to." Rafael answered Alex.
She smiled at the man standing beside Olivia, "And you Rafael?"
He looked at the charming face, "You know Alex I will see what I can do. Will that guy from the pool party be there?"
"Trevor will be there." Alex raised her brow. "But he's straight." Alex grabbed a fry off of Olivia's plate.
"That's fine he's still nice eye candy. And I get a side of fries if you want." He suggested.
"She can't eat them. She's training." Olivia whispered. "She's got an Olympic medal to win." Olivia smiled at the blonde.
"Thank you for your support." Alex's eyes returned to Olivia.
Once again Barba has disappeared from their existence. "You two have a good day, and enjoy Amanda's game." He walked away from the cozy two.
Olivia and Amanda arrived at their apartment by themselves for a change.
"You ladies did great tonight."
"Thanks and having you and Alex in the crowd is always a nice touch." Amanda grabbed a beer for her and a water bottle for Olivia. "I'm glad you have finally given her a chance. I know she wasn't the nicest to you at the start. But seeing you two together hanging out is great." Amanda took a sip of her beer.
"Yeah she's nice. Her first impression wasn't the best. But I guess we had to make peace when she's here a lot." Olivia sat down on the couch. "You two seem to be having a good time."
Amanda sat down next to her roommate. "Yeah she's fun. When the season is over we could go away on a trip."
Amanda's words went through her ears and sent chills down her body. "But that's when her season will be in full swing, I don't think she's willing to take any breaks." Olivia repeating what she heard from Alex at lunch.
Amanda waved off, "It's not like she has a competition every night. And she doesn't have much to lose."
Olivia wasn't happy how careless Amanda was being about Alex's life, "You know this is an Olympic year right?" She paused to make sure she said the right words because clearly Amanda and Alex haven't had the same conversations that she's had with Alex.
"Yeah, She's brought it up."
"She doesn't seem like a person who's just going to take time off during the start of the Olympic season." Olivia watched the water in her bottle. "Do you two ever talk about her skating?"
"Not really it's not my thing." Amanda cleared her throat, as she took a sip of her beer.
"But it's everything to Alex, her whole life is on the ice." Olivia quickly shot at Amanda, as her voice began to shake. "What do you two even talk about? Have you ever been to one of her practices?"
"No?" Amanda said softly.
"Well do you think softball is her thing. Because she's there watching games and practices all the time." Olivia wasn't shy about her opinions right now. She fought her smile as she thought about the handful of times. Thinking about the confidence on the blonde, the smile she had on her face when she nailed a jump or a perfect spin combination.
Amanda looked at her roommate, "Why do you care so much about Alex? Do you have a thing for her?"
At this point she hasn't felt this close to someone since Kathy. "No," Olivia cleared her throat to look at Amanda, "No, I just think that, it's not fair to Alex, you think it's okay for her to miss anytime on the ice when her goal is to make the olympic team."
"I think I know how to handle my own relationship." Amanda didn't want to say something she would regret. "But you're right, maybe I should go to a practice. If she asks. You know she's never asked me to go to one." Amanda confessed.
"Why don't you ask her to go. Maybe she doesn't think you want to go." Olivia softly suggested.
"I don't think she wants me there." Amanda admitted thinking about how Alex interacts with her. "She definitely has things in her closet."
Olivia leaned back on the couch. "Why would you think that?"
Amanda took a deep and chugged her beer, "Don't repeat this to anyone. But we have been sleeping with each other for what two months? And she won't expose her stomach. And we have never showered together. Isn't that weird?"
Olivia's heart raced knowing what was going through Alex's head, but Amanda didn't know. Amanda didn't know that the scars Alex were ashamed of were all on her stomach. The only place they would be covered by her costumes from the public eye. She never saw but only imagined that Amanda was special enough to Alex to see. "Everyone has things they are not happy with. Mauve you should ask her." Olivia was still very confused how the blondes don't share anything in common and don't talk about themselves. "Amanda seriously /,don't take this the wrong way. What do you two talk about?"
Amanda twitched her lips, "I really don't know. I talk about me alot and softball, and I apparently don't know a damn thing about her."
"Do you love her?" Olivia asked her.
"Hardly, I think we are just having fun, and I want to make it more than what it is." Amanda explained the situation.
"Do you want it to be more than what it is?" Olivia fishing for the other side answers.
"I really don't know. I just like her company." Amanda looked at her roommate once again. Who never asks so many questions about her girlfriends. "Olivia, look at me." Liv met her blue eyes. "Do… you… have feelings for Alex?"
"Where are you getting this from?" Olivia went on the defensive.
"I've watched you two in the stands at practices, and games." Amanda inserted the actions she has observed. She has observed that they never pay attention to game when they are on the bleachers together. They are always super close and talking. "You've bedded so many and she fits your type. Why did you tell her to go for me instead of sleeping with her." She confessed Alex telling Olivia to sleep with Amanda at the pool party.
"You liked her. I wanted you to get her." Olivia looks out for her friend and their interests.
"Olivia, stop avoiding the question."
Olivia bit her bottom lip. If she tried to stop thinking about Alex made her think about her more. "I… I can't."
"What?" Amanda was confused, "Do you want me to step back?"
"No, I can't have feelings for her. I don't know how to be in a relationship. I'm too busy having sex with half of New York City, and she deserves someone better than me." Olivia couldn't bear to be the reason for an Alex heart break. "I think she has great potential to be a good friend." She explained but knowing she craves the time she spends with Alex.
"Okay." Amanda reading her roommate. Amanda took Olivia's hand, "You are my best friend and when you let someone in you protect them, and feel with your whole soul. You only deserve the best, and whoever she is, and I will support your choice."
Olivia squeezed Amanda's hand. "Thank you." She pulled Amanda in for a hug. "I love you Amanda."
"I love you too. Olivia."
I hope you enjoyed thanks for the support
