A Wild Animal
Once Zangief and the others were leaving, Vanellope had pressed Ralph to explain to her about why he had attacked the man which Ralph reluctantly explained. Once he was explaining, Vanellope had turned away from him and looked behind the bush to look around.
Vanellope: Well?
Ralph: Okay. See, that hunter was looking for wild animals to kill… for food and fur.
Vanellope: So? I'm not a wild animal.
Ralph: Well, he thought you were.
After he said that, Vanellope gave a gasp and turned towards him to ask him which he answered.
Vanellope: What? Why?
Ralph: He thought you were a wolf.
Vanellope: Oh.
It is now night when they are now at their home, inside the sleeping quarters, to talk some more about what happened earlier.
Vanellope: I knew there was something wrong with me.
Ralph: There is nothing wrong with you. You have a proud heritage.
Vanellope: Oh, sure.
Ralph: Your mother is a purebred Husky.
Vanellope: Then what are you?
That's when he hesitated a bit and then told her about his heritage which didn't bode well with her.
Ralph: I-I'm the one who's part wolf.
Vanellope: How could this happen?
Ralph: Look, Vanellope, my dad was a Husky who had pups with a wolf.
Vanellope: Great. My grandmother was a wild animal? Did the wolf teach you how to know when a human wants to kill you?
Ralph: I was accidentally separated from her when I was young, so, I-I never spent much time with… the wolf.
He then looked out at the scenery while Vanellope was still upset. Ralph then started talking about his mother to her.
Ralph: But I remember that she was as white as snow, that she had this warm voice that made me feel safe.
Zangief was outside mopping the deck when Ralph was continuing his story.
Ralph: Well, then Zangief took me in, and… after being raised by a goose, it's a wonder I don't honk instead of bark.
Zangief was walking off the boat and going somewhere else while Vanellope was asking Ralph something.
Vanellope: Why didn't you tell me this before?
Ralph: Because… I wanted to protect you.
Vanellope: Protect me? From what-from the fact that no human will ever want me because I'm part wild animal?
Ralph: Vanellope, I-
Vanellope: And what about my brothers and sisters? They've got wolf in them too. Why did the humans want them?
Ralph: Because they don't look it, and you do.
Vanellope: It's not fair. I hate you!
She started running away and jumping over the edge with Ralph looking down at her. He was calling Vanellope's name hoping that she would come back but she was still running.
Ralph: Vanellope! Vanellope, come back!
Vanellope: Leave me alone!
Ralph had no choice but to let her run away and think about it. Vanellope was still running when she saw a flock of geese flying above her. She ran into a forest with a fox standing on a log which was on a cliff, looking down at her. She ran to a fast moving stream with a waterfall at the end and a log that is over it. She ran on the log to get to the other side and kept on running until she made it to a mountain with the moon shining behind her and stopped.
Vanellope: Where do I belong?
She then laid down to get some sleep since it's already very late.
