After eating breakfast, both Tomoya, and Ushio go walking to the field of flowers, with the memory of the last time they were there coming back to Tomoya. The man recalls just how sad Ushio had gotten when she wasn't able to find her toy robot, it had meant a lot to the young Okazaki, as that toy was the first thing Tomoya had bought, and by extension, given to the girl. Tomoya, to this day, wishes they were able to find that robot, and he really wished it hadn't taken what had happened that day for him to finally realize that he should have been there for his own daughter sooner. Before he could continue going down that path with those kinds of thoughts however, the man returns to the present, and with a shake of his head, keeps away those kinds of thoughts. That was all in the past now, and, while he wishes he could go back, and punch his past self for being such a bad father, he wasn't actually able to do that. What happened, happened, he should be in the here, and now, it may have taken longer than he would've liked, but he was a family again with Ushio, and, frankly, in his opinion, he should be thanking the lord, that he wasn't hated by his only daughter. Despite that, Ushio still loves him, she still wanted to be a family with her father. Tomoya is forever grateful for everything Sanae, and Akio had gone through to help him and Ushio become a family again. With this in mind, and a smile on his face, Tomoya see's the field of flowers coming into view, he then turns his head to look at Ushio, who was still holding his right hand as the two of them walked together.
"Ready to have fun today Shio?" Tomoya asks, with Ushio beaming as she gives an excited 'yeah'. Hours passed, and the two Okazaki were getting ready to take a break, when they spotted a familiar face, it was Tomoya's father Naoyuki Okazaki. Once Ushio see's her grandfather, she beams as she runs over to greet Naoyuki, calling out to the man.
"Grandpa!" Ushio exclaims, giving Naoyuki a hug, as the smiling man greets both his granddaughter, and his son.
"Hello Ushio, hello Tomoya, I'm so happy you two came to visit today." Naoyuki smiles, with Tomoya returning it, with a smile of his own.
"I'm happy we're visiting too."
"Come with me, I was just coming back home." Naoyuki says, with the three Okazaki walking to the house belonging to Shino Okazaki, Naoyuki's mother.
"Tomoya, Ushio, welcome! Both me and Naoyuki having been looking forward to seeing both of you after you told us a couple weeks ago that the two of you would be visiting us." Shino greets her grandson, and great granddaughter.
"Its good to see the both of you again, how have you been doing?" Tomoya asks Shino
"We've been doing good." Shino answers before the four Okazaki went inside of her house. "Furukawa-san told me something about Ushio-chan becoming very sick last year, we were so relieved when Furukawa-san had told us that Ushio-chan had made it through all of that." Shino says, looking over at Ushio, smiling warmly at the girl.
"Yeah, so was I. I had certainly gotten quite the scare back when Ushio was sick last year." Tomoya agrees with Shino, touched by how much they cared for Ushio. "I'm glad Sanae-san was able to let you know that Ushio was alright after being so sick, I'm sure it had really concerned the two of you." he adds. Eventually, the four Okazaki find themselves enjoying conversations with the adults sharing stories.
"Wow, I didn't know you used to play basketball Daddy!" Ushio exclaims, after hearing from Naoyuki how Tomoya had played the sport back in middle school.
"Tomoya was really good at it too, and was one of the best on the team, what I've been told." Naoyuki says
"Wow, that's so cool Daddy!" Ushio exclaims in awe, shortly afterwards, a thought came to Ushio's attention, "Hey, Daddy?" Ushio asks
"Yeah Shio?"
"Your shoulder, did you hurt it during a game?" the young Okazaki girl asks, making Tomoya freeze, the room falling silent, with none of the adults knowing how to tell Ushio what had really happened at the age she was at. Once Naoyuki heard the girl's question, the man gave Tomoya an apologetic look, with Tomoya, much to Ushio's confusion, answering his father with a look that, more or less, said 'its okay, I forgive you'. After a few seconds, Tomoya finally says something, wanting to talk about something else.
"Hey, uh, Ushio, speaking of basketball, have I ever told you about the game we played against our high school's basketball team?" Tomoya asks, with Ushio shaking her head as an answer. "You see, we had a match with the basketball team to help Mommy with her goal of reforming to drama club." The blue haired man begins telling everyone about what had happened back then, with Ushio amazed that her father had been the one to give his team the win, despite his shoulder injury.
"Wow, so you won even with a bad shoulder?!" Ushio asks, having completely forgotten about her earlier question.
"Yeah, even with a handicap I was able to score us that winning point, we won despite being up against the 'A-team'." Tomoya nods, when Shino suddenly starts speaking as she stands up.
"By the way, I have something for you Ushio-chan." the woman smiles, and goes to get her gift. A few seconds later, Shino returns, holding the gift in her right hand, and hands it to a surprised Ushio. "I believe this belongs to you." she says, handing Ushio a toy robot
"Wait, is that?" Tomoya asks, with Shino nodding.
"Its the robot Daddy bought me on our last trip!" a giddy Ushio smiles, hugging Shino, while thanking her, before hugging the robot close to her chest, a big smile on her face.
"You're very welcome dear, I know that robot meant a lot to you." Shino says.
