Subaru woke up in a strange place, it was dark and he couldn't really see anything. He was confused, he should have died and returned in front of the door.
"So, Roswaal didn't kill me this time?" Roswaal had killed Subaru the last time, so why didn't he kill him this time? Actually now that Subaru thought about it, Roswaal killing him didn't make any sense. Roswaal knew that Subaru could loop, but he didn't know about return by death, so there was no reason to kill him.
Subaru concluded that Roswaal wasn't the one that killed him, Roswaal probably knocked him out and then put him here. Then while he was unconcous someone probably killed him. Subaru then got up and prepared himself, if someone killed him last time, they could be here as well.
"You don't have to be so tense, I am not going to hurt you." Subaru turned to where the voice was coming from and he saw a Ryuzu clone.
"A Ryuzu clone?" Subaru was shocked then he noticed something
"Why is your hair different?" Normal Ryuzu clones had pink hair, but Subaru could see that this one had white hair.
"I go by the name Omega now. This body may be a Ryuzu clone, but the spirit is different." Then something happened that shocked Subaru. Echidna, the witch of greed, was standing next to Omega.
"Echidna? Wait are you inside Omega's body? How? I don't understand."
Subaru now understood, the one who was killing him was not Roswaal, but it was instead Echidna.
"After that filthy half-elf liberated the sanctuary, I took over the body of Ryuzu Shima." Omega explained
"Why am I here? What do you want from me?" Subaru asked
"I wrote in Roswaal's gospel that he should bring you here." Omega explained why Subaru was there.
"Wait, if you wrote that Roswaal should bring me here, then are you the one who wrote that he should do it with my wives!?"
"Yes, I was." Subaru was now very angry and punched Omega
"You don't have to be so violent." Omega said
"Why! Why would you do that!?"
"Why else? I was curious to see your reaction."
"You -" Subaru didn't know what to say
"Well are you happy with what you saw?!"
"Hmm, well I never expected you to kill your wives. I didn't think your time at the Pleiades Watchtower would effect you that much." Omega was refering to the time when Subaru lost his memories and had read his friend's books in order to recreate [Natsuki Subaru].
"What?" For a moment Subaru was confused, Omega couldn't loop with him so how could she know about what had happened in a failed loop. Then Subaru remembered, she could use the book of wisdom to find out what happened.
Subaru was still angry with Omega, but now he had calmed down a bit and he had an idea.
"Echinda, lets form a contract."
"Well, I didn't expect that from you." Omega was amused
"What are the details of this contract?"
"Not now. There's no point in forming this contract now, next time we'll form it. Find me as quickly as you can and I'll tell you." Then Subaru looked for a way to kill himself
"Actually, can you do me a favor and kill me." Subaru couldn't find a way to kill himself
"Oh, and I thought you promised to not abuse your ability like this." In the past Subaru had promised that he wouldn't abuse return by death, but he always broke his promises. Over his many deaths Subaru realized that his life was worthless and now he abused his ability more often.
"Hurry up already!" Then Omega killed Subaru.
