Chapter 8 - Recurrent Nightmare
"Don't make this harder than what it is, Miss Diamond. Give up! We promise we won't be using any lethal force if you cooperate." - Said the agent to Kula
"Never!" - Kula
"Then you leave us no options." - Agent
In that moment the agent that said that got cut in half by a strange purple light for Kula and everyone's horrors
"AURRGH!" - Screamed the agent as he fell on the ground cutted in half.
In that moment everyone looked behind and saw Matriarch alongside her four Knights
"(Oh no!)" - Thought Kula seeing Matriarch and her knights
"Stay away from her, she's mine!" - Said Matriarch to the agents and the scared Kula
"Who do you think you are to give us orders?!" - Said one of the agents to Matriarch
"I'm doing you all a favor by killing her, now back off or face the consequences!" - Matriarch
"Do you really think we will allow you to kill her, she is important to our projects." - Said the agent
"Oh, of that I'm well aware. You stupid dogs don't realize what you're getting into. Kill them my knights!" - Said Matriarch ordering her knights to kill the agents
In that moment the knights of Matriarch launched themselves against the agents of NEO NESTS. Tons of agents went against Matriarch, only to be easily killed
Kula took advantage of the chaos that was happening and escaped out of the scene using her ice powers to create trail of ice with one hand. She hide in an alley two streets later and started to call Whip
"Kula! Where did she went?" - Asked Matriarch to Tessa
"I don't know, Mother. It seens the girl escaped during the start of the fight." - Tessa
"Tessa, come with me. We have to search in the sky for her. Let your brothers handle this pests." - Said Matriarch as she and Tessa started to search for Kula in the air
"C'mon! C'mon! Seirah, answer me!" - Said Kula seeing Matriarch and Tessa's shadows flying through the sky as she was hidden behind a garbage container
"... Kula? What is going on?" - Answer Seirah
"Seirah, listen. She is back... Matriarch is back!" - Kula
"What?! She found you?" - Whip
"You need to take everyone out of the building and escape. She is looking for me right now and she is not alone." - Kula
"Wait, she is not alone now?" - Whip
"Just take them to somewhere safe. I'll see if I can escape out of here without calling her attention." - Kula
"Alright. Alright. I'll take them somewhere safer. Just try to not get yourself killed." - Whip
"That's easier to say that... Argh! My arm." - Said Kula grabing her arm that was injured by the darts of NEO NESTS
Kula took a look at the streets from the alley where she was hidding and saw how the fight between Matriarch's knights and the agents of NEO NESTS was almost over. She was surprised to see a píle of bodies decorating the streets, with only three agents left fighting with the knights
"(Those people are as dangerous as her. In what did I get myself into?)" - Thought Kula
In that moment Kula runned to the other street and started to run as fast as she could out of the scene.
Kula found the arcade place where she went with Rock and decided to hide there until it was safe, unfortunately Tessa did saw her as she passed in the air close to that street
"Mother, the girl went inside a building from street old horses." - Said Tessa telling the street where Kula was to Matriarch
"Old horses? I'll be there." - Matriarch
Kula went inside the arcade place and hide behind one of the arcades
"(This place doesn't look safe... Oh no!)" - Kula saw Matriarch and Tessa reuniting in the streets as the doors of the arcade place were of cristal
She know staying there would be dangerous and seeing the other exit to the place she runned out to escape while she could
"(Is no use, I must get away from here to somewhere safe... The beach? The skate park? The fair?.. Fair! I need to hide in the fair.)" - Kula
Kula started running towards the fair but in then a red van stopped in front of her. Kula thought it was the agents of NEO NESTS and went into her battle stance
"Kula, get in!" - Said the driver of the van who ended up being Whip
"Seirah!" - Kula got inside the car
Whip started driving out of there
"Seirah, where are we going?" - Foxy
"The airport. I'm not gonna risk you all now that I know she has four soldiers as strong as her." - Whip
"We were never prepared for that." - Said Whip as she entered in the highway that lead to the airport
"(I hate having to run but if those four are like Matriarch, do we even have any chances?)" - Thought Whip
In that moment Matriarch appeared in front of the highway and the van to the surprise of the Ex-Agents of NESTS
"Stealing cars and running again, Seirah? You disappoint me!" - Said Matriarch grabing the vehicle with her two hands
"(How did she found us?)" - Thought Whip frozen by Matriarch appearence
Matriarch grabed the vehicle easily and throwed it outside the highway. The vehicle started rolling and fell in the parking of a mall, everyone crawled out of the vehicle while this one was almost destroyed
"Are you guys ok?" - Asked Whip reagrouping with her family
"Yes." - Kula
"I would not say that!" - Said K' as he saw Matriarch and her four knights arrive at the parking of the mall
"Did you really think there would be another escape? You got lucky that time but now! Now I'm finishing things here." - Said Matriarch as her knights prepared to fight alongside her
"Seirah, any brillant plans now?" - Foxy
"Just don't die!" - Said Whip as she and her family prepared to fight against Matriarch
"Arthur, take care of the two woman of the swords." - Said Matriarch refering to Foxy and Diana
"Remy, take care of Seirah." - Matriarch
"Annette, take care of Maxima." - Matriarch
"Tessa, you will take care of K'." - Matriarch
"I'll take on the little princess myself." - Matriarch
In that moment Matriarch launched herself against Kula
"Die, Kula!" - Matriarch
Kula was preparing herself to block the attack but in that moment K' grabed Matriarch's arm to the surprise of Matriarch
"This time your fight is with me, metallic freak!" - Said K' defending Kula. He and Matriarch looked at each other for some second then both interchanged some hits
"You want a fight? Then I'll give you one, pretty boy!" - Matriarch grabed K' and took him alongside her to the inside of the mall breaking the wall and some cars in the process
"K'!" - Kula runned inside to search for K' and Matriarch but then she was grabed by Tessa who took her inside the mall
"K'! Kula!" - Whip
"I'll would worry about me if I was you, lady." - Said Remy as he came closer to Whip
"Come here!" - Remy launched himself against Whip
"Think again, you dumb lizard." - Seirah dodged the attack and manage to trip Remy with her whip
Meanwhile Arthur pulled out his own sword and launched himself against both Foxy and Diana
"Not bad! It seens this fight won't be so boring after all." - Said Arthur as both woman were dodging his attacks
On the other hand Maxima was strugglin against Annette
"Argh!" - Screamed Maxima as Annette's psychic powers launched him to crash on a car
"What's wrong, you rusty piece of junk? Do you felt sleepy or tired? Want to give up so early?" - Said Annette, the girl of the horns who could use psychich abilities
"(This girl's powers reminds me of that little girl from the tournaments.)" - Maxima thought Annette's powers were pretty similar to Athena Asamiya
Meanwhile inside the mall, Matriarch had taken K' to a clothing store inside the mall. Matriarch was on top of K'
"Look at yourself, even in the face of death you hide your true feelings." - Said Matriarch as she wanted to kill K' with her finger blades
"What do you mean with that, you damn monster?!" - Said K' as he was struggling to avoid Matriarch's blades
"You wouldn't understand it. You never understood it." - Matriarch
In that moment K' kicked Matriarch and manage to free himself from her
"I don't know what are you talking about nor do I care, but I can tell you I had enough of you for a lifetime. Die!" - Said K' as he launched himself to Matriarch
"You headstrong idiot! I'll give you the death you deserve." - Matriarch
Matriarch and K' started interchanging blows again. K' throwed some flames at her trying to attack her like the last time but this time Matriarch managed to dodge his move called crow bite
Matriarch grabed K' by the arm where his gauntlet was in
"Do you realize all I need to is rip your arm off, and you would be nothing without your stupid flames." - Said Matriarch as she punched K' in the face sending him to the ground
Meanwhile in another part of the mall. Kula and Tessa crashed in front of a toy store inside the mall. The kids that were inside started to run alongside their parents after the crash of Kula and Tessa
Both fighters got up and looked at each other in the eyes
"I see... Now I get why Mother wants to kill you!" - Tessa
"What. Are. You?! Another of NESTS's creations." - Said Kula looking at Tessa's wings
"You wish!" - Said Tessa as she runned towards Kula
Kula created an ice shield and managed to stop the impact from Tessa's attack.
"Hahaha, lets see how good you are with only one arm." - Tessa proceeded to grab Kula of her injured arm and throwed her to a stand with alot of figures of the Atomic Guy
"(Damn it! Fighting with her using only one arm is going to be tough but I can't give up. I must search for K'.)" - Thought Kula getting up
Meanwhile outside
"Give up, Seirah." - Said Remy turning invisible in front of Seirah's eyes
"You don't impress me a bit, little Lizard." - Seirah in that moment started to attack with her whip in all directions
In that moment Remy grabed Seirah's whip and tried to bring her closer to her but then Seirah proceeded to quickly shoot Remy in the leg
"Argg! You bitch." - Said Remy grabing his injured leg
"I thought you wanted to play rough?" - Whip
In that moment Seirah and Remy continued their fight, Remy moved way too fast for Seirah and manage to make her trip on the ground. He tried to attack her with his claws on the ground but Seirah rolled out of his range
"(He is fast! I don't remember NESTS's doing snake creatures during the time I worked for them, where did Matriarch got this four monsters out?)" - Thought Whip confused
Seirah and Remy continued to fight, but for the surprise of Seirah Remy managed to connect some hits on her. Seirah realized at this point she was starting to felt tired while it seens Remy was still feeling with tons of energy
"I expected better from you, Seirah! Mother told us you were a good hand to hand fighter and this is all you have?!" - Said Remy while punching Seirah
Remy grabed Seirah by the neck and was prepared to finish her up
"Any last words?!" - Said Remy to the tired Whip
"Yes... You win this time but don't let it go to your head." - Said Seirah as she grabed a small silver disk out of her pocket and sticked it on Remy's forehead for the shock of him
"WHAT THE HELL?!" - Screamed Remy as the disk became sticked to his head.
Remy droped Seirah to the ground and started to try to remove the disk from his forehead but he was unable to do it
For Remy's pain the disk started to bemoce warm and in a matter of second his head blowed out by the explosion
"Told you!" - Said Seirah trying to get up as she looked at Remy's headless corpse falling
Meanwhile things were different for Diana and Foxy
Foxy and Diana had become tired trying to fight against Arthur. Both reagrouped together
"This man, he is tough!" - Foxy
"Yes. How is that he doesn't look tired?" - Diana
"Diana. There's no other option, we have to use it." - Foxy
"What? You want to use that! But it has been years since we practice it." - Diana
"It doesn't matter, we need to defeat him at any costs." - Foxy
"Alright! I'll follow you." - Diana
Both woman looked firmly at Arthur for some moments. Then Foxy started counting
"Five. Four. Three. Two." - Foxy
"NOW!" - Said Foxy as both she and Diana runned towards Arthur
Both clashed swords with Arthur. It was a even match until Arthur jumped.
"You two really thought you could defeat me? Mother told me you were tough but you two are nothing but two idiots HAHAHA!" - Said Arthur as he impaled his sword on the ground creating a shockwave
Foxy managed to dodge the attack but Diana got hit by the shockwave and was launched very far to the ground.
"Diana!" - Foxy
"HA!" - Said Arthur of pure joy after seeing Diana launched very far
"You bastard!" - Foxy
"(Yes, come closer. I have my sword ready to slice your head once you try to attack me.)" - Thought Arthur as he was prepare to counter attack Foxy
"Hehe." - Foxy laughted as she started slowing down making Arthur felt very confused
"(What? She is slowing down her speed, does she realized I was prepared to counter attack her?)" - Thought Arthur almost pulling his sword of the ground
"How easy is to make you leave your guard open!" - Said Diana appearing behind the distracted Arthur
"(WHAT?! How could you recover so fast!)" - Thought Arthur feeling Diana's presence very close to him
In that moment Arthur was prepared to attack her but then suddenly he realized Foxy was now more closer to him, as if she had speed up her running while he was preparing himself to attack Diana
Both Foxy and Diana pierced Arthur's throat with her swords at the same time while the confused Arthur barely managed to pull his sword from the ground
"Dancing swords, double piercing shot!" - Said both Foxy and Diana as Arthur's throat started bleeding
"What? How could you two defeat me?!" - Said Arthur on the floor as he felt tons of blood coming out of his throat
"I suppose your mother never told you about my ability to teleport." - Said Diana to the dying Arthur
"Teleport ability? Mother... She did mentioned it!" - In that moment Arthur remembered that Matriarch did mentioned Diana being able to teleport as part of her abilities
"How could I forget it." - Arthur
"Is simple, you let you understimated us and payed it with your own life." - Diana
Arthur bleeded to death in front of Diana and Foxy
Meanwhile inside the mall
Kula and Tessa continued their fight inside the toy store
"There's not much you can do with only one arm." - Tessa
"(Sh..She is right! This is awful, I felt like passing out any moment but I mustn't!)" - Thought Kula feeling tired
"Enough playing around! DIE!" - Said Tessa as she launched herself to Kula
"Piss off!" - Said Kula using her technique called Glacier Shoot, she created a huge chunk of ice and kicking it to Tessa
"UURGH!" - Screamed Tessa as she was hit by the huge chunk of ice and went flying back to the toy store
"(I must reunite with K', he can't fight alone against Matriarch!)" - Thought Kula running to search for K' and Matriarch
Meanwhile Matriarch and K' continued their fight
"You really don't know when to give up, don't you?" - Matriarch
"The same could be said about you. How did you even managed to find us?" - Said K' as he and Matriarch fighted
"It was easy, back in our first encounter I manage to put a tracker in your leg. I can't belive you didn't see it or felt it all this time." - Matriarch
"If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be able to found you again!" - Matriarch
K' searched for the tracker in his leg and he saw it sticked to his leg. He tried to remove it but it was useless
"You think you're so smart. Did your partners of NEO NESTS's teach you that?" - K'
"You still think I'm working with them? Don't you realize, they want you and your stupid family alive, me on the other hand." - Matriarch runned to K'
"I don't have a problem with killing you, stupid clone!" - Matriarch and K' started fighting again
"Face it, you're nothing more than a failed experiment! A simple test subject that got lucky... You don't even know who you are?" - Said Matriarch
"At least I don't have nothing to hide, unlike you! I bet you're not that special without this armor. You stupid scrap metal looking freak!" - Said K'
In that moment Kula appeared in scene seeing K' and Matriarch fight
"Dodge this!" - K' throwed his sunglasses to Matriarch as she runned towards he, with the inttention to use his move called Chain Drive
"Predictable! Have you run out of tricks?" - Said Matriarch grabing the sunglasses and crushing them with her hand
K' blocked Matriarch attack and both looked into each other eyes
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!" - Said K' struggling with Matriarch's forces
"Don't you remember me, K'? You're breaking my heart!" - Said Matriarch in a mocking tone
"K'!" - Said Kula as she approached the zone
"(Kula!)" - K'
"Oh this is perfect. I suppose you won't be jealous if I take Kula for a dance?" - Said Matriarch as she runned towards Kula leaving K'
"NO!" - K' realized what Matriarch was going to do
Matriarch launched with all the inttention to kill an injured and tired Kula but in that moment K' appeared in front of her using his move Black Out
"(I wont let you hurt her!)" - Thought K' as he standed in front of Matriarch
"It doesn't matter! I'll kill you both, right here, right now!" - Matriarch
"TAKE THIS!" - K' punched the ground using his technique called Hyper Chain Drive
"AAARRGH!" - Matriarch got hit by the giant pillar of fire that emerged from the ground. Kula didn't know what to do as she stood there frozen
"K'!" - Kula
After the pillar vanished a tired K' was seeing catching his breath
"(I did it! She is death.)" - Thought K' seeing Matriarch on the ground with her armor throwing alot of electric sparks
"K' you did it!" - Kula
Kula and K' looked at each other. It seen everything was over now... Until
"Hehehe... Not bad! I really felt that one." - Said Matriarch getting up to the horror of K' and Kula
"What?" - Said both K' and Kula seeing Matriarch getting up just fine
Matriarch came closer to where the tired K' was and both looked at each other for some moments. K' tried to punched Matriarch but she grabed his fist and punched him in the stomach
"Stupid cloned boy!" - Said Matriarch punching K' in the face leaving him unconscious
In that moment Matriarch looked at Kula while she grabed K' by his jacket
"You really are lucky, girl. Don't think this is over." - Said Matriarch realizing her armor had taken some severe damage
Matriarch pressed a button on her wrist wich made Tessa and Annette recieve a signal
"(What? Mother is calling.)" - Thought Annette as she was still fighting with Diana, Foxy, Maxima and Whip
In that moment Tessa runned towards where her mother was ignoring Kula
"What are you doing?!" - Said Kula looking at Matriarch who still was grabing K' by the neck of his jacket
"Leave K' or I..." - Kula
"Or you will what?" - Said Annette arriving to where Matriarch was
Annette used her powers to launch Kula flying with a energy wave
"Enough Annette! Is time to go!" - Said Tessa
"What happened to Arthur and Remy?" - Asked Tessa to Annette
"Dead, those stupid freaks killed them!" - Said Annette with some tears rolling out of her face
"There will be time to mourn them later. Lets return back to the HQ!" - Said Matriarch as she and her knights pulled out their teleport devices
"NO! K'!" - Kula quickly got up and tried to run towards them but they vanished alongside K' in front of her eyes
"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" - Said Kula in frustation
Meanwhile in the outside
"(What is this?)" - Thought Whip as she grabed the teleport device out of Remy's corpse. While Maxima took the one that was in Arthur's corpse
"Kula! K'!" - Whip runned inside the mall and saw Kula on her knees crying
"Kula. What happened?" - Whip
"Is K'. Matriarch vanished and took him with her." - Said Kula feeling sad and angry
"WHAT?!" - Whip
