Chapter 7: A Changed Saiyan
Back in the tavern in town, the whole place is empty. All except Turles and Nappa, who are having a secret meeting with a figure. This figure is wearing a white mask with four red eyes and wears a red robe around his body with white pauldrons. He is Euzeth Gozzo from Super Robot Wars.
Turles: Thank you for coming on such short notice, Master Euzeth.
Euzeth: You'd better have a good reason for making me leave the asylum in the middle of the night.
He glances at Nappa.
Euzeth: That Saiyan servant there told me you have something worth my time if I listened.
Turles: Here's part of it.
He hands over a bag of gold. Euzeth smirks easily. He takes the gold.
Euzeth: I'm listening.
Turles: Let me get this straight: I wanted so much to marry Serena, but she needs to be a little...convinced.
Nappa: Yeah. She turned him down flat.
As a result, Turles hits him with a mug.
Turles: Her father Mario was in here a while ago, making wild claims about a Saiyan Beast in a castle. His wild claims are a cause for concern.
Euzeth: Although I rarely care, Mario doesn't seem like the type to cause harm.
Turles: Let me get to the point: Serena loves her father so much that she will do anything to keep him from being locked up.
Nappa: Yeah. Including marrying him.
He noticed Turles is glaring at him. When Turles puts his hand up, Nappa held a mug up to defend himself. Turles turns his attention to Euzeth.
Turles: And that is where you come in, Euzeth.
He then begins to sing.
Turles: When a guy like me is thwarted. And denied his honeymoon.
Nappa: When the pretty thing he's courted. Refused to swoon.
Turles: Then the time has come for a murky plan.
Nappa: For which he turns to a murky man.
Turles, Nappa, & Euzeth: To find that fiend where better than. At the House of the Loons.
Turles:(To Euzeth)You'll be strapping up an inmate.
Nappa: Very tightly.
Turles: Very soon. And we won't bring him in late.
Nappa: Your check-in time's noon.
Euzeth: How sad that Mario is not too well.
Turles: Prepare a five-star padded cell.
All: And book him in for a long, long spell. At the House of the Loons.
Turles: Do I make myself entirely clear?
Nappa: It's the simplest deal of your whole foul career.
Turles: Put that old Mario away and she'll be here in moments.
Nappa: In a dreadful state.
Turles: She'll capitulate to me.
Euzeth: Oh, oh, oh, I love incarceration! I could lock up a platoon!
Turles: We'll apply your inclination. To an old buffoon.
Turles & Nappa: Then wave one bachelor good-bye.
Turles: She'll be my bride.
Nappa: She'd rather die!
Nappa notices Turles and Euzeth giving him an angry look. He quickly changes his tune.
Nappa: Than have her father ossify.
Euzeth: The time's opportune.
The song stops for awhile, as Euzeth thought about this.
Euzeth: So, let me get this straight. You want me to threaten to lock her father in the asylum, unless she agrees to marry you?
The two nods. Euzeth signs seemingly in disgust at first.
Euzeth: Oh, that is despicable.
Then he gave a scary cruel look and laughs evilly.
Euzeth: I love it!
Soon, they finished their song.
All: Then book the church, raise glasses high. To the House of the Loons!
When they are finished singing, Turles, Nappa, and Euzeth laughs evilly at once, beginning their evil plan. Back at Serena's home, frustrated no one would listen to him, Mario decides to take matters in his own hands, as he packs up what he needs for an important mission.
Mario: Well, if a no one would a help a me, I'd a do a this alone! I a promise you, Serena, I a will a find the castle again and get a you a all out of a there!
Once he finished packing, he then leaves the house, closing the door on the way out. The door opens later, as Turles, Nappa, and Euzeth arrives, planning to seize Mario. But to their surprise, neither he nor Serena is around.
Turles: Serena? Mario?
He got no response.
Nappa: Well, we failed. Let's go home.
He turns to leave. But Turles grabs him and takes him outside.
Turles: No! I am not giving up like that! They have to come home sooner or later! We'd be ready for them by the time they do!
He refuses to let this chance of marrying Serena slip through his fingers. Seeing a pile of snow nearby the porch, he slams Nappa right into it.
Turles: You are not to move from there, until Serena and Mario comes home!
Nappa: But...hold on...
Unfortunately, both Turles and Euzeth leave, leaving a cold Nappa behind.
Nappa: Darn it!
He kicks a tree nearby, resulting in a bunch of snow falling right on him. Back at the castle, the next day, things were turning out better. In the balcony, Goku, Charmander, Agumon, Boss, and Giroro watched Serena and her friends in winter clothes, having fun with Luigi. Goku has a cloth wrapped around his right arm. His wounds were not shown, since Serena healed them for him. As he and the servants watched, Pikachu and Skitty ran up happily and are being hugged by Serena. Goku smiles warmly.
Goku: Man, I've never felt this way about anyone. She was nice to me. Perhaps I should do something for her.
He tried to think, then frowns and turns to his servants.
Goku: I'm open to idea, guys?
Boss: Oh, I don't know. Maybe flowers, chocolate, promises you don't bother to do.
Charmander: Boss, don't be like that. Goku, if you wanna give her something, it should be something she likes. Something that gives her joy...
He then goes into thinking, then smiles.
Charmander: I got it!
Later, Goku takes Serena to a set of doors to a room somewhere in the castle.
Goku: I got something to show you, Serena.
He almost opens the door, then closed it, as he turns to Serena.
Goku: Oh, but close your eyes.
Serena looks puzzled. Goku smiles.
Goku: It's a surprise.
Smiling back, Serena closed her eyes. After waving a hand in front of her, Goku opens the door and led her in.
Serena: Can I open my eyes now?
Goku: Not yet.
He stops her.
Goku: Wait here.
He goes over to a set of curtains nearby, as Serena waits. As he opens them, Serena can sense the light coming in and smiles, as each curtain opens up.
Serena: Now?
Goku: OK...now.
Serena opens her eyes and gasped. For the room she and Goku are in is the library itself with so many books on many shelves.
Serena: Oh my gosh. I have never seen so many books in all my life!
Goku: You like it?
Serena: I love it!
Goku: Then it's yours.
Serena: Oh, thank you very much, Goku.
Outside the doorway, Serena's friends, Luigi, and the servants watched, while Spike and the CMC tried to look in. The girls rested their heads on their respective boyfriends. Babs on Buster, Shirley on Plucky, Fifi on Furrball, Cosette on Calamity, Torchic on Charmander, Chikorita on Cyndaquil, Snivy on Oshawott, Fennekin on Chespin, Biyomon on Agumon, Palmon on Gabumon, Gatomon on Patamon, Bijou on Hamtaro, Pepper on Oxnard, Pashmina on Stan, Sandy on Maxwell, Penelope on Cappy, and Pururu on Keroro.
Charmander: It worked! I knew it would!
Spike: What worked?
Furrball: I gotta admit. These two looked very happy together.
Plucky: Like you and Fifi are. Right, Furrball?
Furrball and Fifi both blushed.
Giroro: This is incredible.
Twilight: You got that right.
Torchic: Isn't this incredible?
The Pokemon, Digimon, Ham-Hams, and Keronians began to leave.
Yakko: We have never seen the girl so happy.
Calamity: I agree. It's much better than hearing Turles's pride talk.
Dizzy: Goku more better than that jerk. If Turles were here to see this now...
Little Beeper beeps in agreement.
Applebloom: I didn't see anything.
Applejack: Come on, sugar cube.
The Mane Six took Spike and the CMC by the hoof each.
Rarity: We got some chores to do in the kitchen.
Sweetie: What's going on? What are they on about? Come on!
The next day, Serena Goku, and Serena's friends are having breakfast. Today's meal is cereal. Serena takes one crunch of her meal. She looks up and is startled, as Goku is eating his meal like an animal. He looks up and saw Serena and the others looking at him. The Mane Six and CMC were embarrassed, while Serena looks away. Embarrassed himself, the Super Saiyan 4 cleans his face off, while Scootaloo hands him a spoon. Goku takes it and tried to eat his cereal with it. Of course, he has a hard time doing so, since he rarely eats with a spoon before. Applebloom snickers at this, until she notices Applejack giving her a frown, making her stop. Serena, smiling, decides to help Goku with an easier method. And there, things were smooth sailing.
The next day, in the courtyard, Serena and her friends were feeding the birds that came to the castle often. Goku came up to her and taps her on the shoulder. As she turns around, she saw that Goku is making a gesture. Realizing that Goku wants to feed the birds as well, Serena gave him some birdfeed. As Goku knelt down towards the birds, Serena smiles, as she begins to sing.
Serena: There's something sweet. And almost kind. But he was mean and he was coarse and unrefined.
Goku is having trouble feeding the birds, due to him just shoving the birdfeed at them.
Serena: And now he's dear. And so unsure. I wonder why I didn't see it there before.
When Goku keeps shoving the birdfeed at the birds, Serena takes a handful and gently spreads it out, making a trail. One of the birds landed on his hands, making both him and her smile. As he looks on, Goku begins to sing.
Goku: She glanced this way. I thought I saw. And when she touched, she didn't shudder at my paw.
Serena then looks away, as she goes over to a tree nearby.
Goku: No, it can't be. I'll just ignore.
He turns back to Serena with a smile.
Goku: But then she's never looked at me that way before.
Behind the tree, Serena takes her hood off, looking doubtful once more.
Serena: New...and a bit alarming. Who'd have ever thought that this could be?
She looks back from behind the tree and smiles.
Serena: True...that he's no Prince Charming.
And for a good reason, she and her friends laughed, as Goku is all covered with birds. Then they all flew off.
Serena: But there's something in him that I simply didn't see.
When Goku wasn't looking, Serena threw a snowball at him. With a smirk, Goku began to pile a bunch of snow.
Furrball: Snowball fight!
Buster: Boys vs girls!
Buster, Plucky, Furrball, and Calamity joins Goku, while Babs, Shirley, Fifi, and Cosette joins Serena. Dizzy, Little Beeper, Gogo, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot just watched. Inside the castle, the servants watched happily, as the whole gang plays outside in the snow. Their attention is mostly on Goku and Serena of course with Goku dropping a pile of snow on his head by mistake. Goku laughs, as he chased Serena around a tree. Serena ducks around the others and is now trying to come up from behind.
Agumon: Well, who'd have thought?
Twilight: Well, bless my soul.
Giroro: Well, who'd have known?
Fluttershy: Well, who indeed.
Charmander: And who'd have guessed they'd come together on their own?
Rainbow Dash: It's so peculiar.
Everyone: We'll wait and see.
In the parlor, Serena, Goku, and Serena's friends were in there, hanging around in front of the fireplace. Serena was reading a story to Goku, who is listening in interest.
Everyone: A few days more. There may be something there that wasn't there before.
As Serena and Goku reads the book, the servants, CMC and Spike included, were watching outside with smiles. Boss turns to the others.
Boss: Well, perhaps there's something there that wasn't there before.
Spike: What?
Rarity: There may be something there that wasn't there before.
Sweetie: What is it, sis?
Rarity: We'll tell you when you're older.
Wanting to give the new "couple" privacy, the servants closed the door and leaves.
