Chapter 7

Nemesis could only look on in confusion as a giant pillar of light suddenly burst out from where Tangle and Tails were.

"What?"

Suddenly, a beam of light shot out and struck the chimera in the gut as he was sent hurdling away. It then seemed to retract towards the pillar.

When the light faded, Tangle was standing there, though, she seemed different.

"Huh… guess it worked." She said as she kneeled down.

Suddenly, Tails was surrounded by a bright light, as his injuries began to heal.

Then, he woke up.

"Ugh… what happened?" Tails said as he opened his eyes. "… Tangle?"

"Heeeeeey!" Tangle said in a very excited tone.

"You… YOU HAVE A SUPER FORM!" Tails practically screamed in surprise, marveling at the lemur's new appearance.

The areas of her body that used to be a lighter shade of grey were now glowing gold, though the darker grey areas remained the same. Also, for some reason, a red, glowing cape was added into the mix.

"Cool right?!" Tangle asked.

"Yeah it is!" Tails said. "So, how does it feel, 'Super Tangle'?"

"Ehhh… not really feeling that name… how about Turbo Tangle?" Tangle asked.

"Sounds good to me!" Tails said.

Nemesis then began to snarl at the two of them.

"Looks like you still have some work to do…" Tails said.

"Just leave it to me!" Turbo Tangle said as she flew over to Nemesis.

Deciding to not waste any time, Nemesis threw a powerful punch at the lemur, who was easily able to block it.

"Ok, yeah, this feels great!" Turbo Tangle said before using her tail to deliver a powerful blow to the chimera, who was sent flying off into the distance.

What surprised Turbo Tangle though, was how fast and how far the tail seemed to stretch out.

"Oh wow! You can go waaaaay farther than before now!" Tangle said before getting an idea. "Oh, this is gonna be fun!"

She then shot after the chimera like a bullet as he gathered his bearings.

He didn't speak, only charged at the lemur.

Tangle then shot her tail forward at an incredible speed, but the chimera was able to dodge it. At least, that is what he thought he did. Instead, he suddenly received a powerful blow to his side as he was sent flying.

"What…?"

"Oh, was that too fast for you? Sorry, let me slow it down a bit for ya!" Tangle said as she shot her tail out again, only a good bit slower.

This time, Nemesis was able to see what happened, as after he dodged, the tail suddenly shot off in a different direction. It did this multiple times, going faster as it went, until it eventually went towards him and hit him in the face.

"Ok… she absolutely took that from that pirate show she likes so much…"

"DANG STRAIGHT!" Tangle shouted, seeming to of heard her husband, earning a laugh from the fox.

"Just don't goof around too much!" Tails called over. "You may be invincible, but you do have a time limit!"

"Got it!" Tangle shouted back.

Deciding that Tangle could probably handle things from here, he went to check on Sonic.

"Sonic, hey, wake up!" Tails said as he began to shake the hedgehog.

"Ugh… someone get the number of that truck?" Sonic groaned out as he woke up.

"No, but Turbo Tangle is taking care of it right now." Tails said.

"Turbo… Tangle?" Sonic asked.

Tails simply pointed up.

"Oh… wow. That's a thing I guess." Sonic said.

They then watched as Tangle dodged an energy ball and did a couple of flips before kicking Nemesis in the head, sending the Chimera flying back. She then let out a big laugh before chasing after him.

"She's really enjoying this, isn't she?" Sonic asked.

"I think she needed this. Today's been REALLY rough on her." Tails said as Tangle sent the Chimera flying yet again.

"Yeah… we should probably get to the Tornado and follow them." Sonic said.

"Hold on, let me get Whisper somewhere safe first." Tails said as he went over to the wolf.

"… Is that… really Tangle?" Tails heard someone ask.

He looked over to see Brawl and Knot, watching Tangle fighting.

"Yeah, it is." Tails said. "She really is incredible… though, you would never think that, huh?"

"Whoa dude… don't be so…"

"No, we deserve that." Brawl said before the two of them walked over to Whisper. "We will take care of her, just go and make sure the job is done."

"… Gotcha." Tails said before he and Sonic began running to where the Tornado was parked

Meanwhile, Tangle was having the time of her life.

"This feels incredible!" Tangle said as she easily dodged a kick from Nemesis. "What's the matter? Having trouble keeping up with me?"

Nemesis didn't respond, but she could tell that he was getting very frustrated.

"What was it that you said before? That I was too weak?" Tangle asked. "Who's too weak now?"

That seemed to do the trick, as Nemesis began to scream in anger as he began to glow an angry red.

He then suddenly tackled Tangle at a blinding speed, sending her flying.

"Whoa!" Tangle said as she crashed into… and through a nearby mountain.

"Ok, so note to self, he can't hurt me, but he can still send me flying… good to know…" Tangle said as she got herself to stop.

Nemesis then flew towards her at a blinding speed, clearly intending to repeat his previous attack. Tangle was prepared for this though as she was able to dodge, she then hit him with her tail and sent him flying over the nearby ocean. Chasing after him, she noticed that they were passing by Angel Island, and got mad remembering what he did to her friends. As such, she flew faster, and began to pummel the chimera.

For the next few minutes, the two continued to clash. Tangle was clearly winning, but she knew that she didn't have too much time left in her transformation.

"Ok, gotta finish this right now!" Tangle said as she stretched her tail out incredibly far. She then pressed it against the side of Angel Island like a spring. Then, she suddenly shot forward at a speed that would rival the speeds that Super Sonic could reach, as she put all of her power into one single punch.

With a loud war cry, the fist crashed into Nemesis' body, and tore right through the chimera. The chimera then screamed, as the energy in his body became unstable, causing it to implode on himself, which Tangle was caught up in.

When all was said and done, Tangle was alone, floating there.

"Heh… gotcha…" Tangle said before her super form faded, as she began to fall into the ocean below.

Tails and Sonic, who were able to see the end of the fight from the tornado, watched as the lemur began to plummet.

"TANGLE!" Tails screamed as he leapt out of the tornado.

"Tails!" Sonic shouted as he took control of the plane.

Not paying the hedgehog any mind, Tails spun his namesakes as fast as he could as he chased after Tangle's falling body. Unfortunately, he wasn't fast enough as she fell into the ocean with a crash. This didn't stop the fox though as he dove right in after her.

Sonic could only watch from the plane, and hope that they would be ok. Eventually though, Tails emerged from the water, tails spinning to give him flight, as he carried Tangle's unconscious form over to the plane.

Sonic then flew the plane up onto Angel Island, and once he landed, Tails pulled his wife off the wing and onto the ground.

"Come on… come on!" Tails said as he checked her breathing. Unsatisfied with the result, he began to perform CPR.

Eventually…

*Cough* *Cough*

Tangle's body sprung to life as she began coughing out the water stuck in her lungs. After a bit of that, her eyes opened.

"Hey Tails…"

"Oh thank goodness." Tails said as he sat back in relief.

"So… is it over?" Tangle asked.

"Yeah, it's over." Tails said. "You were absolutely incredible."

"Heh… was I the coolest or what?" Tangle asked.

"The absolute coolest." Tails said.

"I resent that." Sonic said.

"Be quiet you." Tails said. "You were out cold for most of this."

"Fair enough."

The three of them couldn't help themselves, as they all burst into laughter at this point.

"Tails?" Tangle suddenly said.

"Yeah?"

"I think we should go on a vacation after that one…" Tangle said.

Tails simply laughed at this.

"Let's get you moved in first."

Yeah, I made a One Piece reference here. So what? If Tails can be a fan of My Hero Academia (watch the twitter takeover) then Tangle can be a fan of One Piece… honestly, I could see her liking that show for… obvious reasons.

So, let's talk about Turbo Tangle. Yes, the name I came up with is based off of Turbo Tails from the Archie comics. Since there are no transformations with the word "Turbo" in this universe though, I decided that it wouldn't hurt.

Basically, to give you an idea of some things that Turbo Tangle can do, it is pretty much your run of the mill super form… outside of archieverse of course. She can fly, is invulnerable to damage, is a bit faster and stronger. However, the other super forms also enhance their strongest traits even further. Sonic's enhances his speed, Shadow his chaos powers, Silver his Psychokinesis, Knuckles his strength, and Tails his… actually I don't know since we only see it once or twice in the series. I would wager that he is a lot smarter in the form though. As such, Tangle's tail's elasticity is greatly enhanced, as well as the speed in which it can stretch out.

Will this ever come into play again? Eh, maybe. Who knows ;)
