A/N Tank you for keep reading this story, this chapter is a little bit of character development, and in the next at last Harvey!

In the last chapter, It was brought to my attention that getting birth control pills is not that easy, In my country as far as I know you can go to the drug store and buy them without a prescription, and because I never had the necessity to bee in birth control I have no idea how it works the proses in the doctor's office, so lets imagen that there was a gap of time where Christina took the necessary steps - Sorry - the point of the last chapter was to bring awareness to Donna of all the things that could go wrong and make her act responsible.

Chapter 8 Getting a grip

As time passed by, Donna got to be very comfortable in this new bubble she was creating for herself, at the party, she did get to know a bunch of people and she made friends with some of her acquaintances. Even one or two of her friends knew this persona was an acting exercise but she never revealed her name and the justification was that she didn't want to break the magic spell that was surrounding her and this summer, in a way this was very special.

After a month she already started to enjoy herself and all she did for her. One of the things that really help her have self-awareness was a yoga class she took Saturday mornings with Christina and Sheryl, this was very peaceful and challenging at the same time, as well this helped to keep her figure in shape, all the chunky monkeys she was scoring in the Ben and Jerrys were going to do serious damage if she didn't make something about it. Yoga was new to her, she never thought she was going to end up standing on her head perfectly steel and controlling her breathing, she was so proud of herself the first time she managed to do this. Definitely, some things had changed in her, she was evolving.

The first time Donna call her mother to let her know that she was all right, was after a month, finally, she had forgiven her for not telling her the whole truth about what was going on in her marriage, after all, it was better than they were fine even though her family was destroyed, somehow she notices that her mother was not that preoccupied about where she was or what she was doing, she didn't know that Christina had called her to ease her mind.

Talking to his father was more difficult because he was the one trying to salvage his marriage, he felt very guilty, and the idea that Donna was working so hard to have the money she needed to finish her education, was killing him, at least one of her daughters had goals. But Donna has always made him feel that everything is going to be alright.

In her second month in Wilmington Donna had all figure out, the odd jobs were sometimes very fun, she had work in the local fair painting children faces, she had worked in a very fancy French restaurant where she learns about high cuisine and how to do nice cocktails she was the favorite helper of the chef, another job that she loved was too work as an assistant for a local fashion designer, she even got, herself and Sheryl to step in the runway.

This job was temporary but very high pressure. Her bosses ended up loving her. She had something magic in her, the way to establish connections, in no time she managed to have a big network of people willing to help her. She was very determined. Donna always had things done before she was asked for them, it was like she had some kind of power, it looked like she could read minds.

Finally, she was very happy and peace of mind was constant, her only worry now was to save money for college.

Her dating life was not that hectic, although Raul had kept trying to get in touch with her, she didn't give him a chance to see her, she was utterly ashamed, and kept hiding from him, by not answering his phone calls and hiding when he was nearby. She tried to go out with a friend of Sheryl but he was too self-absorb for her taste, so she ditched him and nobody had caught her eye since Raul.

One Saturday that the bar was closed due to some unexpected renovation she and Sheryl were invited to a Rave in an underground joint of Philadelphia, in that place she had scored big or that she taught at the beginning, she got to make up with and blond Adonis at the end of the night but she knew that she was not going to go there, he was a lousy kisser and kind of an octopus that didn't consider her pleasure when Sheryl ask her if she accompanied her to the bathroom, they went home and left him with blue balls.

By the second week of her final month in town, Roby was a personality, and she was feeling fulfilled, now she had a permanent job in the local bar but she had escalated to the bartender position, her grunge look and her black boots were an attraction join with Roby's personality outgoing and wild, she didn't take bullshit from anybody and had a way to deal with assholes that let them without to want to mess with her. She was proud about this, this job only required that she was available on Fridays and Saturday nights, the tips were great and she loved to be present when Indie bands played there. Joe had taken the job to pick her up and take her home.

Life was starting to make sense and definitely, this was going to be a summer to remember.
