Chapter 8

Arizona's POV

After dinner last night Arizona was wiped. She didn't have the energy to deal with the whole Tim and Teddy situation. Instead, she just told them they would discuss it later. Now it was 6:45am and she was regretting agreeing to this practice round. Like she said last night though, you don't say no to the group that invited her.

Arizona sent Tim a text making sure he was up and ready to go.

I know you had a fun night last night. Just making sure you are up and ready. – AZ

If he was not awake, it is very possible that Arizona would physically harm him. He was supposed to spend the night in her suite last night, but when she woke up this morning he was not here.

Chill sis. I am headed up to you now. I went to get coffee. – T

When the elevator opens Tim steps out with his hands full.

"I come in peace. Coffee and donuts for my favorite sister" he said handing her a coffee and the bag. 'Damn it. He knows I can't resist donuts.'

"I am accepting the donuts and coffee. But that does not mean we are avoiding the conversation you and I both know needs to happen. We have to head down though. My clubs are over there. You can start being my caddy now since I need both hands for your peace offering." Heading towards the door she opens the donut bag. Chocolate glaze. Damn it Timmy. He makes it hard to stay annoyed with him.

They ride the elevator in silence and walk out onto the course. There they see Derek, Owen, and Alex standing by the first hole.

"Hey Robbins, just waiting on Webber. The old timer is notoriously tardy." Alex says, clearly not impressed.

"No worries. Guys, this is my brother and caddy Timothy Robbins. Timothy, I know you know who these gentlemen are but just to be safe this is Alex Karev, Derek Shepard, and Owen Hunt. Richard Webber should be joining soon."

The guys all shake hands and exchange pleasantries. Timmy is introduced to the other caddy's in the group. As they head off to start getting everything ready Richard Webber walks up to the group. He is looking a little worse for the wear.

"Sorry I am late everyone. Long night. My wife, Catherine, got in late last night."

"Yeah, yeah Webber. Always an excuse. Let's get this going. Who the hell wanted 7am anyway?" Alex grumbles as he starts walking towards the first hole.

Arizona was debating all last night and this morning how exactly to play this practice round. Did she give it everything or did she hold back a little as to not show her cards? After much deliberation she decided that she trusted these 4. She would play her best and that way afterwards, she could have an informed discussion with Tim about what he thought for next week.

After about 12 holes, everyone seemed to be comfortable with each other. Laughing, teasing, just having a good time. Arizona stepped up for her putt. She had sliced her last shot and the ball was easily 80 feet away from the hole. Walking up, she assessed the ball and the terrain. She squared up and per Tim's recommendation aimed slightly to the left. Pulling back a little bit she swung her putter, making clean contact. She watched as the ball rolled towards the hole, slightly to the left as planned. With about 5 feet left the ball took the turn she was hoping for. *POP* Her favorite sound rang out. The ball rolled straight into the hole.

"Woah"

"Damn!"

"Yeah!"

"Hell, of a putt Robbins!" Her group cheered.

She just smiled at the men. She knew she was good, but golfing with 4 men who were ranked so highly in the world. The cheers were more than welcome. She blushed a bit and responded with a quiet "Thanks guys. Lucky shot."

"No no Robbins. You need to be confident. These guys want to eat you alive. That was not a lucky shot. You have serious skills. We have all seen it for the last 12 holes. Puff your chest out and get yourself that prize money. First place is $2 million bucks. I know you get paid for the LPGA, but I also know no tournament pays out like that over there." Richard Webber had this way about him that made him feel like a mentor of sorts. Arizona knew he was right. She was always confident. Golf, women, really anything. Now was not the time to change that.

They wrapped up their 18 holes and Arizona felt that she had a pretty good round. She finished behind Derek Shepard by 3 strokes. Finishing ahead of Karev, Hunt, and Webber easily. She looked over to Tim and he just gave her a wink. Yeah, they had to talk but she was really glad her brother was here.

After entering the clubhouse, they all headed over to a café for a cup of coffee. They sat and chatted for an hour or so and then all said their goodbyes. They had another round of media in about 2 hours and everyone wanted to shower and relax.

Arizona and Timmy rode the elevator back up to her suite. "Hell, of a round AZ. Play like that the next few weeks and you are going to make sure everyone knows your name." Tim tentatively complimented.

"Thanks Timmy. It felt good. All of them were so welcoming. I was able to relax a bit."

"The caddies were really cool too. I was kind of surprised to hear that Derek's sister in law was his caddy. She is cool as hell though. Her name is Lexi. She seems nice enough. I was just a bit surprised to see a woman. A good-looking woman at that." Tim rambled on.

Arizona scoffed. "What part of that statement should I tackle first Timothy? Good looking women can't be here. Can't caddy? Is that what you are saying? Or maybe I should back up a bit more. Lexi is good looking, and I saw you guys talking. What about Teddy? What is going on there? You weren't exactly discreet last night. I know your text about coffee tried to make it seem like you left this morning to get coffee, but I know you never came back up last night!" She was livid.

"Back up Arizona. Yeah, Teddy and I hung out last night. We kissed…. a lot. But nothing else happened. Seriously. I wouldn't let anything else happened until you and I had this talk. I know she is your manager and I am your brother. You don't think I know how messy this could get?"

"Then what the hell are you doing Timothy Daniel Robbins? This tournament is huge for me. Why now? It is not like you two just met!"

"Arizona. I have had a crush on Teddy for the last 8 years. I never brought it up because she is your manager. I know the position it puts you in if it goes badly. You don't think I know how big of a deal the next few weeks are for you AZ? I am your brother first, your caddy second, and Timothy Robbins third. I know how hard you have worked. I would never jeopardize that." When Arizona looked at him, she saw nothing but sincerity.

With a huff, and a smirk Arizona simply stated "If you hurt her. I kill you. She is my best friend Tim. If you are going to do this, don't half ass it."

Tim just smiled bigger than Arizona had seen him in quite some time. He picked her up and spun her and said "I love you Arizona. I know you want me happy and I want the same for you sis. With your blessing, I am going to actually ask Teds on a date tonight."

"Whatever T. I don't need details. Just don't be dumb. I am going to shower. I love you." Arizona walked towards the bathroom and couldn't help but smile. Tim and Teddy were her best friends. If they were happy, she was happy.

Callie's POV

Callie was finishing up a few phone calls when she heard her name being called across the room.

"Callie! Hey, I was looking for you." Callie turned around and smiled. Her childhood friend, Penny was manning the grounds and they finally had a chance to meet for lunch and chat about everything going on.

"Penny. I am so glad we made time to do this. Everything seriously looks amazing. I think my Dad wants to talk to you about a potential contract. I can't believe how fast you guys did this!".

Penny simply smiled at Callie. "Well Cal, it was for you. That gave me a little motivation. I am so glad you like how it turned out"

Callie and Penny caught up over lunch and Callie hadn't realized how much she had missed her friend.

"Hey, so I was wondering if maybe you wanted to do dinner or something this week." Penny said nervously.

"Yeah of course. Penny. I am always down for dinner. Do you want to go to that Sushi place down the street? I can see if Mark is free too. We have been meaning to try it."

Penny didn't respond initially. She just looked at Callie. Then finally, after what seemed like forever Penny said "No Cal, I mean like a date. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me."

"Oh. Wow. Um. I thought you were still with Jenna."

"Oh. N-no. We broke up about 4 months ago. Actually, never mind. Don't worry about it Cal." Penny went to walk away.

Callie had never thought of Penny romantically before. They have been friends since middle school. She really enjoyed Penny's company and hadn't been on a date in a while. What could it hurt?

"Penny, wait. I didn't say no. I was just a bit surprised. Sure. We can get together. My availability is weird this week. But, right now I can tentatively agree to Friday?"

Penny lit up at Callie's response. "Great! I will text you and we can set up timing and such. See you later Cal."

Callie was headed towards the press area when she saw three little heads of black hair running towards the pool area.

"Sofia, Aurora, Allegra…walk!" All three heads immediately turned to her and the girls slowed their pace. Callie didn't realize how glad she was Aria was taking the kids off site next week. Speaking of which….

"Sof. Where is Tia Aria?" Sofia just turned and pointed over Callie's shoulder. Sure, enough there was Aria, leaning against the front desk talking to Mark. She looked over and waved at Callie and looked to be wrapping up her conversation with Mark. The little girls kept walking towards the pool and Callie set off to go deal with the rest of the press day.

Arizona POV

Now that the talk with Tim was out of the way, she was showered, and dolled up for the press Arizona decided she would scope out the rest of the hotel. She was walking through the lobby and waved to Mark and a brunette that looked a lot like the one she couldn't stop thinking about. She squinted and realized it was not Callie. When she walked up to Mark, he introduced the other brunette as Aria Torres, Callie's sister.

"Oh, Aria. Nice to meet you. My name is Arizona Robbins. You look a lot like your sister."

Aria just laughed "Yeah. I have heard that before. But it is nice to meet you too. My sister actually mentioned you this morning." Aria had an opening, so she took it. She could play match maker too.

"Oh-h really? It was nice to chat with her last night." Arizona could feel her face turning red she needed to go before she said something stupid. "Well, I have to actually go. It was nice meeting you! Bye Mark!" Real smooth Robbins.

As Arizona was walking outside, she had no particular place in mind. It was a beautiful day and the outside was pretty empty. She assumed it was because all the other golfers were getting ready for the press. As Arizona rounded the corner, she saw three little girls laughing and standing by the pool. As Arizona headed in the direction of the door, she heard something.

*SPLASH* *Screaming* When she turned her head, she no longer saw three little girls standing by the pool. She only saw two. They looked to be twins and they were yelling. But what made her freeze was the fact they were not only screaming but they were pointing down into the water.

Uh ohhh…
