DISCLAIMER- I GUESS YOU KNOW THAT I DON'T OWN ANY OF THIS. SO I DON'T NEED TO PUT THE DISCLAIMER. ;-P.
PERCY'S P.O.V (AM I USING HIS POV TOO MUCH?)
When the train came within view of the castle, I gasped and showed Annabeth. It looked beautiful, especially since it was bathed in moonlight. Annabeth kept talking about its architecture and I tuned her out. I was still slightly shocked that Draco was here. Back when I was 12, Draco was one of my friends. Then when I went for the school year and came back to camp next summer, Clarisse had told me that his step-father had taken him back to England. Now here he was, going to Wizarding School.
I looked at the carriage. The skeletal horses pulling the carriage bowed and said "My lord, it's such an honor to meet you. We are the Thestrals."
"Hello. Please call me Percy. No offense, but why is no one freaking out after seeing you? You don't exactly look like a horse." I said.
"No offense taken from your statement, my lord. Only people who have seen death can see us." They said.
Right on cue, Harry took Ron and wheeled him until he was face to face with the Thestrals.
"What am I supposed to be looking at?" Ron asked Harry.
"At the – there, between the shafts! Harnessed to the coach! It's right there in front – " Harry stuttered.
"Calm down both of you. Harry's right. Skeletal horses are pulling the carriage. They're called Thestrals. You can only see them if you've seen death." I said while walking towards them.
"What?!" Ron said.
"These horses have always been here. You just couldn't see them. Are you coming or not?"
"S – Sure." Ron stuttered.
We boarded the carriage and went to Hogwarts.
The entrance hall was huge. It was double the size of both Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter's dining pavilions combined. The ceiling looked exactly like the sky, and there were floating candles everywhere. There were 4 tables, one for each house.
We all gasped when we saw it. Professor McGonagall spotted us and told us to stand behind the first years. We switched our clothes into the robes Aphrodite gave us.
She was carrying a stool with an ancient hat. I suspected that was the sorting hat, which sorts you into a house.
The rip near the hat's prim opened and it burst into a song, which I tuned out.
Professor McGonagall then cleared her throat and called all the first-years to get sorted. Then she said, "As everyone knows, our school is hosting kids from the Olympia family. I will now call these kids to get them sorted."
"Lady Blackstone, Lou Ellen." Lou walked to the sorting hat and put it on. The hat took a while before shouting, "SLYTHERIN!" Lou changed her robes to green and silver before making her way down to the Slytherin table.
"Marchioness Chase, Annabeth."
"RAVENCLAW!"
"Prince di Angelo, Nico."
"SLYTHERIN!"
"Princess Gardner, Katie."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Prince Grace, Jason."
"RAVENCLAW!"
"Princess Grace, Thalia." Thalia flinched after being called Grace.
"SLYTHERIN!"
"Prince Jackson, Perseus." I flinched when I heard my full name, but I went anyway.
"Hello." A voice said in my head.
"Are you the sorting hat?" I asked it.
"Indeed, I am. Can you lift your mental shields so I can sort you?" The hat asked.
"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly.
"I am sure. Now, will you lift your shields?" It asked again. I lifted them.
"Hmm… It seems you are very cunning, but not enough for Slytherin. You are street-smart, but you won't fit in Ravenclaw. Your fatal flaw is loyalty, but you're also extremely brave. I think I'll put you in GRYFFINDOR!" It said the last word out loud. I changed my robes to red and gold before sitting next to Ron.
"Marchioness La Rue, Clarisse."
"GRYFFINDOR!" Clarisse sat down next to me.
"Princess Levesque, Hazel."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Marchioness McLean, Piper."
"SLYTHERIN!"
"Lady Ramirez-Arellano, Reyna."
"GRYFFINDOR!" Reyna sat next to Clarisse.
"Marquess Solace, William."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Marquess Stoll, Connor."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Marquess Stoll, Travis."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Marquess Valdez, Leo."
"RAVENCLAW!"
"Marquess Zhang, Frank."
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
Once Frank was sorted, Professor McGonagall put away the hat and Professor Dumbledore rose to his feet.
"To our newcomers, welcome! To our old hands – welcome back! There is a time for speechmaking, but this is not it. Tuck in!"
There was a round of applause and an appreciative laugh as he sat down.
I piled my plate and was about to take a bite before Clarisse tapped me on the shoulder. "Prissy, we can't eat without sacrificing to the gods, remember?"
I set my fork back on the plate and went to the professor's table while Clarisse and Reyna collected the others.
"Professor Dumbledore, can you conjure a brazier for us to sacrifice food to the gods?" I asked.
He laughed and pointed to the side. There was already a brazier, so I sacrificed a bit of meat to my dad. The others came up and started sacrificing as well.
After eating, there was a looooooooong speech which I tuned out. Annabeth explained everything to me before we headed up our common rooms to sleep.
-TIMESKIP TO THE NEXT DAY-
DRACO'S P.O.V (Were you expecting that?)
The next day I woke up at 7:30 in the morning, unable to sleep anymore. I remembered that Crabbe and Goyle told me to wake them up when I got up, but decided against it, thinking about what they would do if they saw me talking to the Gryffindors all of a sudden. I got out of bed and freshened up in the bathroom. When I got out, Crabbe and Goyle were already awake.
"Draco! You know your dad told you to take us with you whenever you get out of the Common Room!" Crabbe said.
"Sorry, I forgot," I said, rubbing my neck sheepishly and trying to look as innocent as possible.
I must've fooled them, because they said, "Okay, fine. Let's go for breakfast.
We made our way down to the Great Hall, where Connor and Travis waved. I put a finger to my lips, and they nodded.
I filled a plate and sat next to Nico. The hall was empty except for the professors, demigods, and the occasional early riser. Slowly students poured in and then the mail came.
I was surprised when an owl dropped a letter on my plate. I never get mail. Then why...?
I opened the envelope and read it. It said:
To Draco,
I have received information that you have been interacting with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Ginny Weasley. Remember that you are not to be in the company of blood–traitors, mudbloods, and people who the Dark Lord hates unless you are bullying them. Your mother has also told me that the Royals from America are half-bloods like you and you are not to interact with them unless they are in Slytherin. If I hear you doing any of these one more time, you know what I'll do.
P.S – You are not to do anything to Crabbe and Goyle for telling me.
~Lucius Malfoy.
I trembled with rage. Nico noticed this and asked, "What's wrong Draco?"
"N-Nothing," I said and put the letter inside my robe pocket. Nico frowned.
"What's in your pocket?." He asked.
"Nothing," I said coldly and left, ignoring Crabbe and Goyle.
A/N- FINISHED! I KNOW I ENDED IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, BUT I FELT IT WOULD BE TOO CONJUSTED TO ADD EVERYTHING IN THIS CHAPTER. I SORTED EVERYONE INTO THE HOUSE I THOUGHT WOULD BE BEST, AND I KNOW THAT SOME OF THEM DO NOT FIT, BUT IT SHOULD BE FINE. PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL BECAUSE SO FAR, ONLY ONE PERSON HAS VOTED. ANYWAYS, R&R AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT! :D
~ANNABETH MCGRACE.
