Izuku's POV

The sky was dark with the storm clouds mirroring his mood. It was pouring down cold rain on top of him. The tunnels took him out into the city far away from the bar.

Almost immediately he ditched his phone and any ids that led back to the mafia. This left him with only a small amount of cash, his pocket watch which he couldnt bring himself to toss, and a knife. Like his identifications the gun had to be wiped down and tossed. It was too risky to be caught with right now.

Izuku pushed through his pain and gried heading for the residential district, far away from the raid. He knew a certain red winged man lived there. For the longest time they had surveillance on him including watching for take offs.

Takami had a single balcony on the north side of his building. It was just large enough for the other to take off and land without any problems. He could only hope that there wouldn't be any security. Izuku knew in his current condition no one in their right mind would let him in the building.

A shiver ran down his spine as he a cold breeze ran through him. Hugging his soaking jacket closer to him. Not that it did much good.

As he escaped the warehouse district sirens sounded in the distance. They were heading straight towards the district. Hiding in the shadows he went to where he knew Takami's apartment was.

To his surprise there was no security at the apartment. It wasn't anything special. A regular passerby would never guess that one of the Vanetti lived here. Most of the apartments were dark. Either empty or everyone in them were asleep. He easily picked out which apartment was Takami's.

Then Izuku watched the building for an hour. Surprisingly, or not so surprising, he looked at his watch no one came in or out of the building. It was two in the morning the attack had been a little more than two hours ago. If someome saw him they would think that he was up to no good.

He was able to walk straight into the building. Shaking his head he watched as raindroplegs scattered across the ground. Listening to the building he was surprised at how quiet it was. Sounds that he expected werent there. Only the faint hum of a nearby computer could be heard.

Then there was a new hum quieter than the first and warm air was brought with it. The heating system of the building was still going. That was something at the very least.

Izuku trudged over to the elevator and hit the button. It took a minute for the doors to open and he walked inside. Once inside he hit the button for Takami's floor. The elevator groaned in protest and the intercom buzzed.

A flicker of unease went through the boy. Something wasnt right about this. In fact something was very much wrong but he didnt know whah it was.

The intercom buzzed twice more before a tired voice asked, "Hello? Who is this?"

Izuku leaned against the wall of the elevator as he said, "Takami its Izuku. I need your help."

There was a sharp intake of breath from the other before the elevator moved. Another shiver racked through him as he waited. A cough wracked through him a moment later. He needed to get out of his wet clothes before he got sick.

Then the doors to the elevator opened and he stumbled out. What he thought was a regular apartment was far from it. It was a full penthouse suite far cry from what the older should have been able to afford.

Alarm bells sounded in his head as he took it in. The main room was nicely furnished with several pieces of furniture and a bookshelf. Even from a distance in the dim light Izuku could see a Hero Law books. It was placed in such a way to not draw suspicion. As such it was the first thing he had noticed on the shelf.

The more he looked around the room the more things made sense. All of the inconsistencies about the man clicked in than the rain outside he realized what he and everyone else had missed. Keigo Takami was a hero. The man he had brought to their bar was the traitor.

Izuku lunged for at the man murder clear in his eyes. Takami flinched back in surprise but Izuku hit him around the waist. They both crashed to the floor of the apartment. Throwing a punch he felt satisfaction as the cartilage of Takami's nose crunch under the force of his attack.

A pained gasp escaped the blond as he tried to buck Izuku off. The greenette refused to be thrown off. Instead he threw another punch catching Takami in the jaw this time. Arms raided themselves to defend him as Izuku rained strikes down, desperate to do any kind of damage to the traitor.

Why? Why did it have to be him? Why did he betray the family? Why was it that his one happiness was taken away from him?

Takami tried to use the feathers that his quirk controlled but the use of No Longer Human put a stop to that. The partial seconds between his attacks did not allow enough control over a quirk for Takami to fight back.

He was hauled off of the man by a strong grip on his clothes. It wasnt a person's hand that hauled him off. No it was something else. It felt as if his own clothes were pulling him away. The more he tried to fight it the more insistent it became.

A tall lanky man appeared in his field of vision once he was safely away from the traitor. The man was wearing a blue denim jacket and pants. With his back to Izuku the only features the boy could see was his blond hair.

Takami sat up, one hand cupping his bleeding nose, eyes watering. A hand was offered from the unknown man to help the traitor to his feet. One the other gratefully took with a wary look shot to Izuku.

Takami's POV

Being woken up at 2 in the morning was never Keigo's idea of a good time. Over the last week he had pretty much been under house arrest. The only times he was allowed to leave his apartment being to talk with the Hero Commission.

For the first time since he went undercover he regretted allowing them to use his real apartment for his base of operation. Before now no one from the Vanetti family had come by. If they did he would have a lot of explaining to do. There was no way someone of his rank could afford such am apartment. For whatever reason they never decided to do a visit to his apartment.

Until tonight that was. Izuku Midoriya showing up unannounced asking for his help was the last thing he expected. So he allowed the other to come up and still in his tshirt and short that he slept in greeted the other. In less than a minute of entering had the other attacking him for unknown reasons. It was all he could do to keep from being knocked out. The kid was named Nero's bodyguard for a reason. Even without drawing a weapon he was dangerous. What Keigo didnt understand was what he had done to earn the other's ire.

Best Jeanist had the best timing on the face of the planet. He promised to come by after his long term overseas mission. From what Keigo blearily remembered the other was supposed to come back early this morning. While he hadnt expected the other to come straight here he welcomed it. Othereise there was no telling what Izuku would have done to him. His fellow hero hauled the boy off of him with the use of Fiber Master. Keigo's eyes watered due to his broken nose. With a little help from Jeanist he was able to stand.

Once he was steady Jeanist asked his voice firm as he looked at the child, "Now what seems to be the problem with you?"

Izuku snarled his green eyes flashing with hatred and self loathing, "He betrayed us! He became a part of the family and all along he was a hero," the last word was spat out with such contempt it made both heroes flinch, "He's the reason they are all gone. Everyone is gone."

Tears filled the green eyes and despite a valiant attempt Izuku couldn't keep them from falling. It made Keigo want to comfort the kid but he knew he wouldnt be welcome. For whatever reason Izuku thought he had betrayed them.

"They are all gone," said the boy again brokenly.
