In the dark Area in the Digital World, 5 of the 7 Demon Lords were currently having an important meeting with each other.
"Where's Leviamon?" Daemon said annoyed.
"Astamon isn't here as well." Barbamon added
They'll both be here." Lucemon said. "They just need to take care of some errands."
Meanwhile Belphmon was still in sleep mode and was still snoring but was aware of everything going on around him.
Suddenly a portal opened up as Astamon walked through it. "I'm sorry that I'm late." Astamon apologized. "Had to take care of something."
"All that leaves is that croc Leviamon." Lilithmon said.
"Be respectful whore." Astamon said
"Respectful? I think with you it should be the other way around since you've just joined us." Litithmon sneered.
"Regardless it's not unusual for Leviamon to be late to a meeting." Daemon observed.
Suddenly a portal opened up as Leviamon emerged out of it, although he was looking quite wounded as if he came back from a fight.
"What happened?" Astamon asked.
"I just quell down the rebellion in my territories, apparently someone got lucky." Leviamon answered, while chuckling
"Or it could be you are losing your edge crocy?" Lilithmon mocked.
"You want to pick a fight whore?" Leviamon roared.
"Bring it, I'll finish what your enemies started." Lilithmon shouted
Before Lucemon could tell them to stop, Astamon jumped in. "Enough, we're all here to discuss our current situation, not to fight with each other. After all we're all allies." Astamon argued before turning to Lucemon "Isn't that Right Lord Lucemon?"
"Very, now I have called you all here to address our enemies." Lucemon said.
"You mean the digidestined?" Daemon asked. "They're weak."
"Agreed." Barbamon added
"Yes, but as you all now and feel that with each battle they grow stronger, especially the Children of Miracles and Light." Lucemon said.
"What's the point they are nothing, especially since the child of darkness is still nowhere to be found." Lilithmon pointed out.
"For that, they will get stronger because of our old enemy Nobu's help and that is why I have an idea for all of us to partner with children with our respective sins." Lucemon explained
"What?! You want us to pair with human children and create an Anti Digidestined?" Daemon roared with fury.
"Exactly, so who agrees with me." Lucemon asked.
"I refuse because I don't need a weak human by my side." Daemon said.
"As do I." Leviamon stated
"Me too." Lilithmon added.
"The idea has its merits, I'm in." Barbamon said, shocking them
"You three should see the bigger picture. These kids will be able to keep tabs on the digidestined in the human world and will be a great source for us to feed our powers." Astamon said.
"So it's 3 against and 3 for using the idea." Leviamon said as he groaned before looking at Belphemon who was still in sleep mode. "Great."
"We will use this plan or do you three have any further objections?" Lucemon asked, glaring at the three.
Both Daemon and Leviamon were glaring back but knew that even together they could never defeat Lucemon.
"No." Daemon said reluctantly
"Tch." Leviamon gritted his teeth
"I have no choice in the matter." Lilithmon said.
"Wise choice you three, now we must begin our search." Lucemon said.
"I have an idea for that as I figure your idea would involve this, so I took the liberty of searching for children who have the amount of sin that we could draw from." Astamon said.
"Well I can say one thing about you Astamon, you are more useful than that failure Beelzemon." Lilithmon admitted.
"Thank you for the compliment." Astamon bowed. "I'll be off in the real world searching for children who would make fine partners and send psych profiles to you later." he said before vanishing.
"Until he returns with these children's profiles this meeting is adjourned." Lucemon said as each demon lord vanished to their territories.
Meanwhile in the human world, the team was waiting in Nobu's room. He had said they weren't going to the Digital World today Nobu said that he had an important announcement.
"What do you think Nobu has to say?" Davis asked.
"Don't know he just said he had something to tell us, It must be more info on the X Antibody?" Xeno suggested, wondering what Nobu was going to tell them.
Nobu came into his room with a force calm look on his face.
"Damn, what's with the expression dude?" Xeno asked.
"Well have any of you heard of that boy prodigy Ken Ichijouji lately?" Nobu asked
"Ken Ichijouji! You have to be kidding me who hasn't heard of him? He's one of the smartest kids our age. He's great at sports, music, mathematics, and many strategy games, especially chess." Yolei said fangirling as Xeno's eye twitching, which Nobu, Davis and Kari saw.
"Well yeah, anyway tomorrow at a university i'm going to have a chess match with him." Nobu explained.
"Congrats Nobu, i've seen his matches on tv, he's taken out adults who have played for years he's very good." TK said.
"Hmph, he's not that clever, i've seen weak points in his games." Xeno said.
"You watch his chess matches?" Cody asked.
"Xeno usually has nothing to do during the week." Nobu answered for Xeno.
"Still Nobu, I can tell you have found some knicks in his chains so it won't last long." Xeno said.
"Maybe because Nobu has always beaten you at chess Xeni." Kari teased.
"Kari! Swear!" Xeno growled.
"This will be a very long day." Nobu groaned before grinning at his friends teasing each other.
The next day, Nobu went ahead to the university for his chest match against Ken who was arriving soon.
The gang decided to go to cheer him on, well most of them as Yolei went to cheer Ken on.
Xeno just looked at Yolei before looking back down.
"Jealous much Xeno?" Davis smirked.
"You're one to talk Motomiya with Kari and TX." Xeno grumbled.
"Well anywhere we're almost there." Cody said.
When the gang got to the university they noticed that Ken had already arrived and went inside.
"There he is, the Child Prodigy." Davis said. "He doesn't look like much."
"Appearances can be deceiving Davis." TK said before looking at Xeno. "I Mean just look at Xeno….No offense."
"I swear when Nobu, Motomiya and Kari aren't around a bullet will go right between your eyes." Xeno threatened. Scaring TK. "but he is right, we know next to nothing about him besides what we've seen on TV, Nobu better keep his eyes opened."
"He is." a voice said, startling them as the gang turned to see Nobu's mother, Sakura alongside the rest of his family.
"Sakura, Haruka." Kari greeted.
"Sai!" Xeno growled.
"Motomiya, Jamerser, I'm planning to settle our score after you gave me a black eye Motomiya." Sai said.
"Hmph, well Sai Sauce, if Xeno can't beat me then there's no way for you to beat me either." Davis countered with a smirk.
"That's it asshole you're dead-" Sai shouted before Haruka jabbed her finger into his throat causing him to be paralyzed and lose consciousness .
"Now that is entertaining." Xeno laughed along with Davis before Kari pulled their ears.
"Ow! Kari stop!" Davis exclaimed in pain.
"Kari! Let go of my ear!" Xeno exclaimed as well.
"That's good, maybe mom should teach you our family's secret." Haruka smirked. "Cause I was about to do the same thing to these two idiots."
"Trust me Haruka, they are my problem and i'll always fix them." Kari said. "Now will you two behave for the rest of the day?"
"Yes, ma'am!" both said as Kari let go of them.
"You've been hanging around Haruka and Sakura for too long woman." Xeno said to Kari.
Haruka held up her fingers in a threatening posture, daring Xeno to say anything else.
"Nevermind." Xeno said.
"By the way, what do you mean that Nobu is taking this seriously?" Kari asked.
"He takes everything seriously from his studies to his kendo practice to his medical knowledge." Sakura explained. "No matter what he faces he always goes at them with full force."
"It only proves one thing." Xeno said.
"And what's that?" Cody asked.
"He needs to get laid big time." Xeno joked.
Everyone laughed at what Xeno said.
"Yeah my brother needs to get laid maybe that'll make him chill out awhile." Haruka said.
"Are you all really laughing at me?" they turned to see Nobu looking slightly pissed. "And I thought you were here to support me?"
"We are, we just wanted to bust your chops until you arrived." Davis answered, making Nobu's eye twitch. "Also, Ken has already entered so you should hurry."
"I'm already aware of that." Nobu said as he entered the building.
"See what i mean? My brother needs to seriously get laid." Haruka smirked.
"Yeah, just make sure to pack plenty of condoms while you're at it." Davis added with a smirk.
Sakura just groaned.
10 minutes later, both Nobu and Ken were now sitting down and having their chess match.
"10 minutes in and it seems that to be evenly matched could either player be planning to take the lead in this chest match." the announcer said.
"You're Good. Most kids your age wouldn't be this good." Nobu said, as he made his move.
"Thank you, you're not bad either. I can tell you take these games very seriously." Ken said back as he moved his rook.
"This is boring." Davis moaned as he continued to watch.
"Motomiya games like these take pantice and cunning. Both of them aren't playing for real at the moment; they are both trying to uncover each other's strategies." Xeno said, but Xeno knew better he could see that Nobu was doing more than just trying to figure out Ken's play style. It was almost like he was trying to uncover something about Ken in general.
5 minutes later the chess match began to shift slightly in Nobu's favor.
"In a small turn of events, Nobu has taken the lead." the announcer said.
"Good move Nobu." Sakura said happy with Nobu's progress she could see that Ken wasn't showing it but she could see a slight nervousness in his eyes.
Nobu was able to take out one of Ken's knights with a bishop but that left it exposed, for Ken's own bishop.
"Ken's doing great." Yolei said with the others just looking at her.
"You know we're here for Nobu right?" Xeno asked with an annoyed tone.
"I know, but someones gotta root for Ken." Yolei said nervously.
'Yeah right.' everyone thought.
20 minutes later Nobu had Ken, who while looking calm but was now nervous as Nobu had cleverly given up his queen so Ken could take it with that move it had left his side exposed.
"Checkmate." Nobu said which left the whole crowd including Yolei shocked while the others cheered for Nobu's Victory.
"I can't believe my eyes, Ken has lost to Nobu." the Announcer said as the crowd cheered for Nobu, as he waved to them.
Nobu walked up to Ken and stuck out his hand. "That was a good game kid."
"You too." Ken said as he shook Nobu's hand but Nobu could feel the pressure from Ken's grip indicating he was angry about the loss.
"Don't take this personally Ken, every king or emperor has to fall sometime." Nobu said which caught Ken's attention before he left to meet the others, while Ken just glared at him before he left too.
"Nice game Nobu, Ken didn't know you were just probing him from the start." Xeno said.
"Thanks Xeno." Nobu said before turning to the group. "Alright gang, tonight we're going to the Digital World again."
"Why?" TK asked. "You said it's dangerous to be there at night, plus the gate will be closed."
"I have my reasons." Nobu said as he glanced at Ken leaving. "Anyway as soon as we get to my house we'll go."
"You sure your mom won't be worried that we are going to the digital world at night?" Xeno asked.
"I'm sure we'll be fine." Nobu said as they walked to the van so they could go home.
Xeno just glared, one thing about Nobu was he had too many secrets and this match with Ken proves Nobu knew something about Ken which they others don't, but of course he's the child of darkness and the others didn't know as he swore to keep it secret until Nobu feels like the others are ready.
Meanwhile Ken or the Digimon Emperor was in the digital world as he had an image of Nobu on his computer screen, he scowled before he punched a hole through it.
"Damn! Nobu will pay for humiliating me. I'll kill him first before I end the other three." Ken growled referring to Davis, Kari, and Xeno.
"Master, please calm down." Wormon said gently.
"Go away! You fool!" Ken exclaimed in rage, just as one of the computer screens detecting the Digidestined entering the Digital World. "This time they'll die, come Wormon."
"Yes master." Wormmon said as they both left.
The gang were now walking down the trail of the now dusk digital world, they were surprised that Nobu was able to open the gate even though it was closed. Davis and the members of the new digidestined were a little nervous to say the least because this was their first time being in the Digital World at night, the silence between them was broken by Cody.
"So, Nobu why are we here at night?" Cody asked.
"Because the Digimon Emperor is about to make the Digital World his new home unless he's stopped and purified." Nobu replied
"Oh I have the perfect way to purify him." Xeno said as he showed his newly upgraded black pistol, which Nobu had upgraded like it's white counterpart.
"Well that's one way to look at it but he'll be a great help after those Dark spores's evil influences are removed." Nobu shrugged
"Dark Spores?" TK questioned.
"Another secret Nobu, why am I not surprised? Sometimes it's hard to trust you as a leader because you hold too many of them." Xeno said.
Nobu just rolled his eyes at Xeno but does admit to himself that Xeno had a point.
"Xeno, Nobu has his reasons so stop doggin him." Davis said
"No, he's right." Nobu said. "I'm sure that most of you, even the older digidestined have hard times trusting me." .
"Nobu, don't say that. We all trust you and you have good reasons." Kari countered.
"Really? Even after he defeated the digimon emperor today, and he still hesitates to tell us his Identity, am I right?" Xeno said, catching everyone's attention.
"When did you know and how?" Nobu glared
"It's easy figure out, when you were playing your chess match with Ken I could tell that you both were probing each other for information with each move, and I could see the hostility in Ken's eyes, the same hostility that the Digimon Emperor has show us, did i hit the nail on the head Nobu." Xeno asked, pointing at him as if he was accusing him.
"Partly, except you know how my sister does her tarot card readings?" Nobu asked
"Yes, but that doesn't help you situation when you have all this information and you keep us in the dark wondering what will come next, and this is stupid coming from me. But that's not what a leader does, if we put trust in you, you need to put trust in us to tell us the truth." Xeno said as his speech shocked everyone else especially since it came from Xeno.
"Very well then." Nobu said as he grinned. "But i'm afraid that most of you won't like the future that my sister saw during her readings."
"A destroyed Odaiba And a devastated Digital World is apart of it right?" Davis said in rare seriousness.
"Not just Odaiba but the rest of the world, sure we'll gain Ken as an ally during those times but if we fail that future could be a reality and not only that an old enemy of yours would come to assist the demon lords who would gain human partners as well." Nobu explained.
"It won't come to pass, and we shouldn't worry about the future. Your sister cards aren't set in stone, we can still stop it before it all happens. but we can't have more secrets between us. Nobu I trust you like a big brother like Tai, we need you to trust us." Davis said.
"Davis is right, Nobu, as long as we stand together we'll always win." Kari said standing between her Davis and Xeno.
"Very well." Nobu said as he took out the crest from his pocket."This is the Crest of Darkness!"
"No way!" Yolei exclaimed.
"You had it all along?" TK said.
"He's it's chosen one." Xeno said, which got the others attention.
"You knew? And you're the one biting Nobu's head off about secrets?" Jun said.
"It's not my place to tell, it's only right that he tell you all." Xeno countered calmly.
"So you're the Digidestined of Darkness I just can't see it." Veemon said.
"Yes, I mean you don't act all dark." Patamon said to Nobu.
"I have very repressed anger and rage." Nobu said like he told Xeno when he said the same thing. "I'm just good at repressing it." before sighing
"Huh, if only Xeno can do that? He gets angry every 2 seconds." Davis quipped.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Xeno exclaimed.
"Let's just move on." Nobu exclaimed.
For the next 30 minutes the team walked through the forest, some of the team had a strange feeling as the wind blew through the trees as the moon light eerily shined through them giving the place a somewhat haunted look.
"Um… are you sure we should be here Nobu?" Yolei said, shutting in slight fear.
"It's not bad, a Demon Lord like me likes forests like this one." Impmon said the haunted feeling of the place made him feel at home.
"We'll be fine, just keep a lookout." Nobu said, just as the tree breach snapped causing everyone to be on guard while Yolei hid behind Xeno for protection.
"Safe to say we are not alone here." Xeno muttered, drawing his guns.
"I can sense multiple energies surrounding us." Impmon said as he glared into the darkness.
"Don't worry Kari, i'll protect you." Davis said.
"Don't worry Davis, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself." Kari said in a dry tone.
Appearing where multiple Dokugumons and Kuwagamons with dark rings on them
"I hate spiders!" Jun said in fear, while Davis just smirked. Jun wasn't just afraid of spiders, she hated bugs in general it was funny to see her so scared.
"Kuwagamon? Boy does he bring back bad memories." TK said.
"We got the bug spray right here." Davis said, as their digimon began to digivolve.
"Veemon, Armor Digivolve to Flamedramon the Fire of Courage!."
"Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to Halsemon Wings of Love!."
"Armadillomon Armor digivolve to Digimon the Drill of Power"
"Impmon digivolve to Devimon"
"Patamon Armor digivolve to Pegasusmon Flying Hope!"
"Gatomon Armor Digivolve to Nefertimon The Angel of Light!"
"Labramon Digivolve to Seasarmon."
"Reload Deckerdramon!"
The Dokugumon and Kuwagamon charged in for an attack.
"Deckerdra-Launcher!" Deckerdramon roared as he deployed his cannons and began firing a barrage of missiles at the Kuwagamon in the air knocking them out from the sky while destroying their dark rings.
"Fire Rockets!" Flamedramon exclaimed as he fired at the Dokugumon engulfing them in flames while destroying the dark rings.
"Watch where you fire, VeeBrian, you could set this whole forest ablaze." Devimon said as he fired his Demon's Ray.
Two of the Kuwagamon countered Devimon's attack with an energy blast of their own.
"Gold Rush!" Digmon fired as his attacks at the two hitting them both destroying the dark ring.
"I think I dig being on a team with you." Devimon quipped.
"Feel the same way." Digmon replied.
"Tempest Wing!" Halsemon shouted as he fired a cyclone at a group of Kuwagamon knocking them out of the sky, as well as destroying the dark rings on them before another group took their place.
A swarm of Dokugumon fired a blast of venom from their jaws at both Pegasusmon, Nefertimon and Seasarmon who avoided the blast.
"Star Shower!" Pegasusmon shouted as he fired shooting stars at them, knocking them out, as well as destroying the dark rings.
"Nile Jewelry!" Nefertimon exclaimed as she fired explosive jewels from her paws at the spider digimon, knocking them out, as well as destroying the dark rings.
"Energy Ray!" Seasarmon roared as he fired a ray of energy from his maw at the spider digimon, knocking them out, as well as destroying the dark rings.
But the more they knocked out the Kuwagamon and Dokugamon, another swarm of them take their place
"This is too easy, somethings not right." Davis said, while Xeno shot one of the dark rings of a Dokugumon.
"You think he's set us up?" Xeno asked.
Just then a horde of spikes was heading towards Nobu.
"Nobu, look out!" Kari called out.
The digidestined of darkness dodged the spike in time as they embedded themselves in the tree. "I know I pissed him off but now he has a target on my head."
"Welcome to the club Nobi." Xeno said just as Stingmon appeared with the Digimon Emperor on his shoulder.
"Ken, we don't have to do this. You can walk away from all of this right now." Nobu said, trying to reason with the boy.
All Ken did was laugh evilly which unnerved the team. "I disagree after all the Digital world is my testing ground."
"The dark spore's influence is slowly spreading." Nobu muttered
"The digital world isn't a laboratory for your amusement, you are hurting innocent creatures that have done nothing to you, and if you are a digidestined you have to see that this is all wrong." Kari said.
Nobu placed his hands on Kari's shoulders. "It's no use the dark spores are influence his behavior." he whispered
"Ok, why don't you be a man and fight me one on one? I promise you death will be painless." Xeno said, loading a bullet into his white pistol.
"Any second now." Nobu muttered before suddenly an explosion caught everyone off guard which also destroyed the Dark Tower in the area.
"The hell did you do?" Ken questioned in anger.
"Quite simple when one of the digimon partners I have is an expert at stealth.." Nobu smirked as Cyberdramon stood behind him
"Oh I get it, while we were walking you had that Digimon shadow us and when the Digimon Emperor showed you would have him destroy the tower you were 2 moves ahead of him Nobu." Xeno said.
"Got it in one." Nobu said. Before Cyberdramon vanished into the Fusion loader alongside Deckerdramon. "And we're out of here."
"Leaving just like that what about them?" Jun asked, pointing at Ken and Stingmon.
"There is no threat especially since the Dokugmon and Kawagumon are back to Normal and are very angry." Nobu said. "The only threat now is territorial issues."
Suddenly all the Kuwagamon and Dokugamon who were freed began tracking everyone in sight, Ken and Stingmon escaped while the gang were also escaping without fighting them.
Everyone had returned back to the real world exhausted from the battle as well as running away from the territorial insect digimon.
"Well that was fun." Xeno said.
"No it wasn't, Xeno." Yolei said in a frustrated tone.
"Hey Yolei how's it feel to know that your second crush is the Digimon Emperor." Davis asked Yolei and Xeno glared at him while Kari just elbowed him in the gut, knocking the air out of him.
"Well it could have been worse." Nobu sighed.
"Yes could have been, now that he knows we know who he is I can feel that things will be even tougher." TK said.
"Indeed." Nobu said as he could predict his next move already
"I could just go to his town and rough him up?" Xeno suggested.
"You think violences is always the answer." Kari said.
"What part of potential ally in the future are you not getting Xeno." Nobu groaned.
"Nobu, with the way he treats us as his allies, you would hate to see how he would treat his enemies." Davis said.
"You all said to me to tell you the truth, so here it is trust me in the end it will work out." Nobu said
"Huh, that's what they all say before the heroes die." Yaamon said.
"Whatever, but it will work out in the end just bear with it." Nobu said.
Meanwhile in the same area that the 7 demon lords had their meeting, they were all together again waiting for Astamon to return.
"I heard that Astamon found a suitable partner for you Leviamon." Lucemon said.
"Tch, still think i don't need one." Leviamon growled
"Just bare with it Leviamon." Lilithmon said not exactly on board with this plan but she had little choice but to agree.
A portal opened up as Astamon walked through. "My comrades, I believe I found a suitable partner for Lord Leviamon." he announced before showing them all his psych profile.

Lucemon cracked a sinister smile, before turning to Leviamon. "So, what do you think of your soon to be new partner?"
"He's alright i guess." Leviamon admitted.
"He's coming around." Astamon said.
"Any news on any other potential candidates?" Barbamon questioned.
"I believe that I found great candidates for Lust and Wrath." Astamon said
"Hopefully she'll be good enough to be my partner. I look for quality in lust." Liltihmon said.
"I still don't like the idea." Daemon said.
"So who are these two?" Lucemon asked.
Astamon pulled out the psyche profiles for Lust and wrath.

Reason for wrath-is a delinquent/Yankee who thrives on fights and is extremely bloodthirsty for combat
"Very good, the girl will be perfect for dealing with the child of light. And the boy he'll be good for dispatching any member of those kids without fear." Barbamon said.
"Yes, I am still looking for human children who represent mine, Barbamon's, Belphemon's and your sins Lord Lucemon." Astamon admitted.
"Keep up the search, for soon you three will go meet your partners and have them keep an eye on the digidestined." Lucemon said.
"It will be easy for Tatsu and Namine as they are students at that school but Daigo doesn't go to school as he was disowned by his parents." Astamon explained
"Disowned huh, maybe we can arrange for him to go to school." Barbamon said.
"I thought you might say that, which is why I've already set up a meeting between us later to set up the paperwork later." Astamon admitted
"Very good, now Astamon focuses on finding the last four. While the rest of you convince the current ones to join us." Lucemon said with a sickly grin as the three demon lords nodded as they vanished into portals.
'Soon Nobu, you and your friends will be destroyed and Miracles Light and Darkness will not save any of you.' Lucemon thought before releasing a sinister laugh that echoed throughout the hideout.

Davis stood soaking wet in the rain sadly staring in the sky. As Kari was in her room window as she sadly watched the heavy rains continue to fall. Davis was now walking, his hair covering his eyes as memories of his friends and their Digimon appeared behind him smiling as he continued to aimlessly walk, Kari was now outside soaking wet, as she walked down the sidewalk she remembered her time with Davis as kids. Xeno was in his home with a sorrowful expression as a dark void showing his father's death and his younger self crying in pain, as his scared eye closed. Davis walked past a window that showed a reflection of himself as a kid playing with Kari, both smiling and laughing. Yolei and Cody at her house watching the rain fall. Kari now passed a park and saw a swing, she then saw a younger Davis pushing her younger self high on the swing before it faded, making her sigh as she continued to walk. TK was laid on his bed, as the memory of Angemon's sacrifice still haunted him, before he closed his eyes and fell into slumber. Ken sat in his chair typing on his computer, before looking out the window as his shadow took the shape of the Digimon Emperor. Davis stopped as he realized he was in front of his old school, as an image of him and Kari were walking home from school before they faded from sight. Meanwhile at Nobu's house, he was practicing kendo with his younger brother Sai, while his mother Sakura was treating a patient in her office, and his sister Haruka was lounging in the house while it rained outside. Davis stopped at a sidewalk, he look up and saw Kari standing across the street, both digidestined eyes widen as they both walked to each other and smiled looking into each others eyes as they slowed leaned in as the rains slowly began to stop, as they kissed the clouds slowly went away as a beam of light shined on them, as their crests appeared in the sky above them
