I woke up the next morning and decided to go check on Jax. I was quiet as hell because I didn't want to wake my brothers up. I'm glad that they're here, but I'm also scared. If Zobelle finds out about them, then they could get hurt or worse. I headed out the door and headed to Jax's. I unlocked the door and noticed that he was sitting at the kitchen table.

"Morning darlin'." Jax said.

"Morning baby." I said as I kissed the top of Jax's head.

I felt Jax relax once my hands rested on his shoulders, and I took notice of the bruising that was forming on his face and knuckles.

I just about jumped out of my skin when Tara appeared and dropped John's manuscript on the table.

"I finished it." Tara told us.

I could also tell that she was trying not to laugh because she spooked me, but I knew that I would get her back later.

Tara sat down and I went to stand between them. Jax then took a breath before saying anything.

"What do you want me to say?" Jax asked.

"Keep saying that you want to change things. But you keep repeating old behavior. (I nodded because I agree with her) Can't have it both ways." Tara replied.

"Is there anything you love so much, you'd protect it no matter the cost? The damage it did to you?" Jax asked as he looked from me to Tara.

"Yeah, a child." Tara and I replied together.

That's becoming a habit of ours, but I kind of like it because it at least tells us what the other is thinking.

"That's how I feel about this club. Since I was five, all I ever wanted was a Harley and a cut. Look, change won't happen quick. Or without blood. But it'll happen. It has to." Jax told us.

Tara and I shared looks before Jax got up to finish getting ready to leave.

"See you later." Jax said as he looked at me.

I nodded my head. Jax gave me a smile before lightly kissing me and then leaving. Tara glanced at me and we had our unspoken conversation. I quickly followed after Jax and called Layla to ask her if she would keep my brother's company. She was excited and I was happy that this was helping her.

I followed Jax to the station and giggled when Jax stopped to let me catch up with him. Jax threw his arm over my shoulder and we headed inside to talk to Hale since he seems to be the only one that is a wild card.

"What did you tell Stahl?" Jax asked.

"There's nothing to tell." Hale replied.

"Bullshit!" I growled.

"ATF's looking into Zobelle and the Irish." Jax added.

"She's not digging into Sam Crow. She's doing her job. She wants the supplier." Hale said as he looked between us.

"I got no delusions about us being on the same side. But we both know that Zobelle and this ATF bitch are bad for Charming." Jax said.

"You were right. Zobelle doesn't make mistakes. He's protected." Hale said.

"Oh my God." I started.

"ATF can't touch the league." Jax finished.

"FBI's looking into white hate." Hale said.

"Right. That's why Stahl needs us." Jax said.

"Now why would the feds need you? SONS just being mechanics and all." Hale questioned.

Jax's phone started ringing so I answered for him.

"Big picture, deputy. Look at it." I replied before following Jax out the door.

I followed Jax to TM and was happy to see Half-Sack back.

"What?" Jax asked as we walked up to everyone.

"Just downloading to the prospect. And his new swollen nut." Bobby replied.

"Welcome back, shithead." Jax said.

"Welcome back, Sack." I said with a wave.

Half-Sack nodded at Jax before waving back to me.

"Chinese just called. They want a sit-down. I got to head up to CaraCara. Where's Clay?" Jax said before realizing that Clay wasn't there.

Nobody said a word because I don't think they knew where Clay was. I also took notice that they grew quiet the second we walked up and that's not normal. I rode with Jax to CaraCara and I think neither of us were expecting what was about to be told to us or what we were about to see.

"What happened?" Jax asked as we got off his bike.

"Someone broke in. Stole our HD camera and my laptop. Had three rough cuts on it." Luann replied.

"Shit." I said.

"What happened to the guard dog I bought you?" Jax asked.

"See for yourself." Luann replied.

Jax went to investigate and I stayed with Luann and Lyla.

I hugged Lyla and wasn't surprised when she hugged back tightly. I could feel her shaking and whispered to her that everything would be alright. I stayed with Lyla as Luann went to talk to Jax. Lyla was trying to get me to join her at CaraCara, but I declined because I didn't want to make the other girls think that I was trying to take their spots. Lyla understood and told me that the offer will stand if I ever change my mind.

I sat with Lyla until Opie and Bobby showed up and I was happy to them. Opie came over to us, gave me a big hug, and then I left him to talk to Lyla. As I watched them, I noticed that they make a cute couple. I don't know why Tara has such an issue with her, but I like her, and if she makes Opie happy then I'm happy.

"That dog cost me four grand." Jax said as me, him, Bobby, and Luann started talking.

"And that was a $10,000 camera." Bobby added.

"Camera's insured. The rough cuts are worth ten times as much." Luann said.

"This had to be Georgie, right?" I asked.

It had to be because who else would do shit like this.

"Of course it was." Luann replied.

At least me and her are on the same page. I noticed that Jax was staring at Opie and Lyla, so I lightly nudged him.

"They look pretty cozy." Jax said while wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"I think they're kind of cute. Reminds me of me and Otto." Luann said.

I nodded my head in agreement because they do look cute together.

"She okay?" Jax asked as Opie joined us.

"I think so. Who did this?" Opie replied.

"The shit that's missing, it's got to be Caruso." Jax replied.

"Let's go." Opie said before he turned to walk off.

Bobby, Jax, and I shared looks before following after him.

"What time does Gemma want us for dinner?" Luann called after us.

"8:00." Jax replied.

Bobby and Opie gave Jax a confused look because they had no idea what was going on.

"Gemma's having a potlatch. Wants us all there." Jax replied.

"Sounds like a good idea." Bobby said.

"I got Kenny and Ellie." Opie said.

"Bring 'em." I said.

They are cute kids and I really want to see them.

"Lyla? She's been helping me out." Opie asked but it was more directed at Jax than me.

"You serious about it?" Jax asked.

I wanted smack him for that.

"I don't know. Kids like her." Opie replied.

I could tell that her was hesitant but I also know that everything will work out the way it's supposed to.

"You hitting it?" Bobby asked.

Really? Did he really just ask that?

"Come on, Bobby. We're just hanging out." Opie replied.

"Dude, she's a porn star." Bobby said.

"Your point?" I questioned.

"My point is she's a porn star. You gotta hit it." Bobby replied.

"What do you know about hooking up with porn stars?" Jax asked.

I'm curious about that as well.

"Just what I heard. You know, it can get, like... I have been around, you know? You should bring her to dinner tonight, man." Bobby replied.

"Gemma won't mind. Come on." Jax said as we headed outside.

Once we got outside, I saw Chucky and turned my head because he does creep me out. I ignored the conversation until Jax pulled me to him and then I tuned back in. I can't believe that another charter is trying to move in. I hope Laroy and his crew are alright.

*Crystal's POV*

I followed Gemma as she went to visit Chibs. Layla was supposed to, but she's with Kaleena's brothers, so she asked me to go with Gemma. It's nice that her and Kaleena are trying to keep me in the loop, but sometimes I wish that we could go on vacation and leave this place behind for a while.

I took notice that Gemma was staring at this woman that was in the room but was confused on why she was just staring. We finally entered the room and the woman looked at us. She put her magazine down and stood up.

"You're a long way from home, sweetheart." Gemma told the woman.

"Yes. I am." the woman said.

"Why?" Gemma asked.

"I was worried about him." the woman replied.

"Could've sent flowers." Gemma said.

"Just needed to see him, Gemma." the woman said.

"We are in a shitstorm here. The last thing we need is you turning him inside out." Gemma growled.

This woman scares me.

"Hello." Tara said as she walked into the room.

"Dr. Knowles, Fiona Larkin." Gemma said.

Now I finally know the woman's name.

"Nice to meet you. I'm afraid ICU is for immediate family members only." Tara said.

"She is family." Gemma said.

How in the hell is this woman family? Unless...

"I'm his wife." Fiona said once she realized that Gemma wasn't going to say anything.

Tara looked between me and Gemma and I just shrugged my shoulders because I didn't know and Gemma just rolled her eyes. That gave Tara all the information she needed at the moment.

Well, this is really awkward.

*End of POV*

We were sitting in the van waiting on Chucky when he took off out the door with this dude chasing him. We headed inside and found Georgie. He freaked when we walked in and pulled a gun. I pulled mine and so did Bobby, but both Jax and Opie wrestled Georgie to the floor, and Opie pinned him there.

"How does that feel, you dead bitch?" Opie growled as he put his foot at Georgie's throat.

The door then opened and in came Chucky and the man that was chasing him.

"Come in, 'OJ.'" Bobby said as he pointed his gun at him.

I had to stiffle a giggle but kept my gun trained on Georgie.

"Get us the camera before my boy here crushes his throat." Jax told the man.

"Get the goddamn camera." Georgie told the man since he hadn't moved.

"I'll cover him." Chucky said as he followed the man.

"I'm guessing this one's ours, but maybe we should take both just in case." Bobby said as he went to the laptops.

"All my shit's on that one!" Georgie exclaimed.

"This one?" Jax asked as Bobby handed him one of the laptops.

"You son of a bitch." Georgie said.

Jax handed me the laptop and I went to the fish tank.

"Don't!" Georgie exclaimed before I dropped the laptop into the tank.

"That's for killing the dog, you psycho piece of shit." I growled.

"You think this is how it works? You idiots could just crash in here and take stuff from me? You got no idea. You white trash morons, you got no..." Georgie started to rant but was cut off.

"Lyla's with me now. You touch her, call her, even think about her, I'll kill you." Opie said as he put his foot back at Georgie's throat.

I was super happy about that, and I'm also proud of Ope at the moment. We finally left and I hope that's the last of Georgie, but I highly doubt it.

*Crystal's POV*

"I didn't know Chibs was married." Tara said.

"Neither did I." I added.

"They never got divorced. It's been a long time since they were together." Gemma said.

"Sounds like she's not a favorite." Tara said.

"There's only three women I'm afraid of... My mother, my third-grade math teacher, and that Irish bitch." Gemma said.

We all watched as Fiona left, but I couldn't shake this feeling that we're missing something.

"Where's Chibs at... his insurance shit?" Gemma asked.

"He'll be off critical in a day or two. He'll have to finish his recovery at Stockton." Tara replied.

"That can't happen. Not with her around. He can't be out of sight." Gemma said.

"There's nothing I can do." Tara said.

"There's always something you can do." I said.

"You see that redhead? Margaret Murphy, chief administrator. She has been up my ass about the club. I try anything, she'll be all over it. It can't happen." Tara said before walking off.

I glanced at Gemma and knew that she was plotting something. I followed her and watched as everything unfolded.

"Going down?" Margaret asked as Gemma stopped the elevator from closing.

"Yes, ma'am." Gemma replied as we entered the elevator.

This should be fun.

*End of POV*

We walked into the bar and something didn't feel right.

"What do you want?" the girl behind the bar asked with an attitude.

"Laroy won't mind us dropping by." Jax replied.

I went to follow, but Jax stopped me.

"Wait here with Chucky." Jax told me.

"Jax, something isn't right." I said back.

Jax sighed before letting me follow because with me being the tiny girl I am, I can pretty well get past anybody if I have to.

"We know the way." Bobby said as we headed to the back.

"Shit, new owners." Jax said as we entered the room and saw another charter.

Maybe now Jax will listen to me when I tell him something isn't right.

"We should go." I said.

The guys agreed and we left the room, only to be attacked. Opie was taken down first, then Bobby, and last was Jax. I had taken down the first guy that tried to grab me but missed the guy coming up behind me. He had me in a choke hold, so I wasn't going anywhere. We were led back into the room and I was separated from the others, but not too far from them. I could tell that Jax was trying not to go crazy, but I knew that he knew that it would only hurt us if he tried anything.

"Probably should've called ahead and made sure Laroy was home." Opie said.

"That would've been the smart play." Jax said.

"It's gotta be Clay wondering where the hell we are." Opie said as their phones continued to buzz.

"Yeah." Jax said.

"Heard things got pretty out of hand in county. You and me always been able to talk about shit." Opie said.

"Not lately." Jax said.

"Yeah. Think maybe it's got something to do with this beef you got going on with Clay? Maybe if I knew what it was..." Opie started to say but got interrupted.

"It's about keeping shit contained." Jax interrupted.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Ope asked.

"I don't know, Ope. I feel like I'm losing all my friends." Jax said.

This man came in and I had this feeling that something bad was about to happen.

"Laroy don't live here no more, ese." the man said.

"We put that together." Jax said.

"Where'd you get the Russian hardware?" Ope asked.

Why the hell does that matter?

"New friends, new opportunities." the man replied.

"You got a point to make, make it quick. My mom's expecting us for dinner." Jax said.

"So I'm not invited?" the man asked as he walked closer to Jax.

Please don't say something stupid. Please Jax for the love of God, don't say anything stupid.

"I might need someone to bus a few tables." Jax replied.

If I could slap my forehead I would because he literally just said something stupid.

"Hijo de puta!" the man growled before backhanding Jax.

All of the guys jumped up as the man held Jax by his cut. I couldn't move because the guy that had me in the choke hold is making sure I don't move a muscle.

"You tell Clay that bullshit truce we had is off the table. Every state, every charter. Mayans are no friends of the SONS." the man told Jax before tossing him back into the chair.

Now, I remember this guy. I can't remember his name, but I remember Jax telling me about the truce between the Mayans and the SONS.

"Get 'em out of here. And take their cuts." the man said before turning around to walk off.

"That ain't gonna happen." Jax said.

"Is he trying to get us killed?" I whispered as I slapped my forehead and then hung my head.

I only looked back up when I heard a gun get pulled.

"You will lay it at my feet, cabron." the man said he pointed the gun at Jax's head.

"Pull the trigger man. It's the only way this leather's coming off my back." Jax said.

I was literally on the verge of tears and I hate feeling like this. I just hope that someone will do something or I'm gonna have to bury the man that I'm falling in love with.

The man didn't seem to be backing down, so Bobby decided to step in.

"Summer of love may be over, jefe, but killing the mother charter's VP? You might want to think about that move." Bobby said.

All of us waited on bated breath to see what the man was going to do.

"Next time a Son walks into Mayan territory, they don't walk out." the man said before spitting on Jax's cut.

That was gross, but I was shocked when he stopped by me.

"You need to be more careful, Princess." the man said as he handed me a tissue.

I was confused until he pointed at my lip. I took the tissue and place it where he had pointed at.

"Thank you." I said.

He nodded his head before walking off. Jax took me home so I could change and so he could meet my brothers. I introduced them and then went to change. When I was done, Jax told me that he wanted to invite my brothers, but I told him no because I didn't want to involve them in all of this yet. Jax understood and so did my brothers. I was happy about that and told them that I would be home later.

Jax, Bobby, Opie, and I pulled up to Gemma's and saw Lyla walking our way, angrily by the way.

"Lyla, where you going?" Ope asked as we got off the bikes.

"Home. I'm tired of taking abuse, Ope. That doctor's an arrogant bitch." Lyla replied.

Bobby started to chuckle and I just shook my head.

"Sorry." Lyla said as she looked at us.

"Thanks, brother." Ope said to Jax.

"Lyla, don't take what she says to heart. She's just jealous that both of us are with a Son and she's not so she's going to use whatever she can to her advantage. If it helps, the next time she says anything, let me know and I'll handle her." I told Lyla.

Lyla nodded her head before giving me a hug. I hugged her back and was glad that I could help.

"Thanks, Kaleena." Ope said.

"My pleasure." I said with a slight bow.

Ope chuckled before giving me a hug. I hugged him back before shooing him off with Lyla.

"Jesus Christ, here we go. Dinner with my mom." Jax sighed as Bobby continued to chuckle.

I shook my head because I knew this was going to be one hell of a night. Jax and I went to talk to Tara, well, more like I went to talk to Tara and Jax just followed.

"Can you ease up on Lyla? She's just..." I went to say but Tara cut me off.

"I know... doing her best. I keep hanging out with this family, I might be sucking cock to pay my bills, too." Tara said.

"What the hell's the matter with you?" Jax asked.

"Ask your mother." Tara replied.

Now I have to know what's going on. Gemma must've done something to try to help Tara but it backfired instead. Crystal told me that she would tell me later, so I nodded my head and left it alone.

"What happened?" Jax asked Gemma.

"Come on, everybody. Come on, let's sit down." Gemma said.

I couldn't help the giggle that left my lips because she just completely ignored Jax. Jax lightly grabbed my waist as we made our way to our seats. Clay and others came in and I could tell that this wasn't going to be good.

"Where the hell were you?" Clay asked Jax.

"What are you talking about?" Jax asked back.

"Two guys are at the hospital, and you decided not to pick up your goddamn phone." Clay replied.

"We were neck-deep in our own pile of shit." Bobby said.

"We almost got killed trying to take back our guns, man." Tig said.

Did he just mention club business here? In front of other people that shouldn't know club business.

"Club business. Not here, asshole." Bobby said.

Tig pushed Bobby and then they went to fight but the others pulled them apart.

"Hey, they were helping me, Clay. We had some payback to deliver at CaraCara." Ope said.

"Hopefully, it went a little better than the trammel task." Tig said.

"Blow me, shithead." Ope said.

They were about to get into it when Hale decided to join us.

"Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt. I figured I should tell you this in person. We just found Luann Delany off county 18. Beaten to death. (We were all in shock and I knew that this wasn't going to end well) There's no other details right now. I'm sorry." Hale said before giving me a sad look and leaving.

Layla and Crystal stood by me because they knew that I was getting attached to Luann, and now she's gone.

"Did you cause this?" Clay asked Jax.

"What are you talking about?" Jax asked back.

"Payback at CaraCara." Clay replied.

"This is on me, Clay." Ope said.

"And me, too." Bobby added.

"What did you idiots do?" Tig asked.

"I'm not talking to you, asshole." Bobby replied.

Tig then decided to go after Bobby again and the others were doing their best to keep them apart.

"You see what you're doing to this club? Do you see what you're doing to this club?" Clay asked.

"I was risking my ass for this club." Jax replied.

"Bullshit." Clay spat.

"You're as blind as you are crippled." Jax scoffed as he turned around to head to me.

"No. The blind guy's in jail with no wife 'cause you just got her killed." Clay said.

I knew right then that was fixing to send Jax over the edge.

"I'm not the one murdering women!" Jax yelled before him and Clay got into it.

Me, Layla, Crystal, and the others were trying to break them apart when Gemma smashed a plate on the table. We all looked at her and she looked at all of us. I could see it in her eyes that this was taking a toll on her more than the others knew. I also know that this might be the catalyst for her finally telling everyone the truth.

None of us said a word because we didn't know what to say. Jax leaned back against the wall next to me and I moved closer to him. I felt bad for Kenny and Ellie because they had to witness all of this and they shouldn't have to at their age. Lyla and I shared looks because we knew that from here on out, we're going to have to stand by each other no matter what.
