Mina breathed in as she entered the classroom for 1A, trying to steel her nerves.
She passed the entrance exam.
She's friends with a group of vigilantes.
She can do this.
She opened the door and walked in, smiling as she took in the unfolding chaos of the classroom.
He shouldn't have been all the surprised.
His sister develops a powerful Quirk with its own sentience. He was some no name boy who could never have a Quirk to begin with. Their mother was a Pro Hero who had been killed in action well over a year ago.
A gang of Quirk traffickers had been scouting out his home for the past while.
So it was time for the two of them to pack up and leave.
He sent Midoriya a message while Emi packed her stuff up.
In several puffs of smoke every valuable within the house had been transported to a safeplace.
All that would greet the traffickers would be an empty home.
The only good thing that came out of this, was that Eri now had a best friend.
Kai watched as the young girl with a sentient shadow (Tokoyami's younger sister) played with Eri.
He was simply watching over them, making sure that the girl didn't cause any trouble for his daughter.
Tokoyami had told him why she was here now (why they were both here now). He had his fair deal with Quirk traffickers before (Eri's Quirk was highly sought after for the potenial it held). So he understood why the two would be staying here now.
He just can't understand why he was stuck as a babysitter.
She shouldn't be doing this. If All Might sensei finds out that she's meeting with Midoriya once again then she might kill the boy.
But there was so much potential that he boy saw with her Quirk.
Potential that she herself hadn't realized.
So with caution she prepared a meeting spot that All Might would have trouble getting to, and called Midoriya.
He was very receptive, eager even, to have another session with her. He said there was something he had wished to discuss with her. Maybe it was about ways to improve her control, or maybe about his theories on her Quirk.
Maybe its just a talk about a more casual meeting next time.
Katsuki stood next to Kirishima (both in their disguises) as they attented the recruitment for this so-called League of Villains. Denki and Sero had gone to another one of their recruitment sites and were taken in.
It was so simple that it would be a surprise if there weren't any other infiltrators present.
They would go in and say they wanted to join, then give a reason why, and then they would be given burner phones to receive the call.
Just fucking simple.
Izuku approached the meeting spot that Ochako had suggested for them. He had a small notebook with him and a glow in his eyes. It was expected to be a long meeting today (especially if that skeletal woman doesn't interrupt them).
Its going to be so much fun.
So when he reached the small cafe that Ochako had suggested, he was giddy like a fox in a hen house.
He took his seat next to her in a private booth and for the next two hours they just talked. They discussed the potenials of her Quirk, the training that would be needed to do so, and so much more about what could be done with her Quirk and its potenial mutations. Of course they also talked a bit about their own personal lives and some of their common interests.
A conversation can't be held for two hours without multiple topics after all.
So when their time at the cafe ended the two found themselves just walking through the city and conversing with one another. There was the odd stare from younger passersby, the look of nostalgia from the older ones, and glares from the a mix of both.
Two hundred years ago such a sight was very common, now not so much.
But that wasn't going to ruin their night as they made their way back to Ochako's apartment.
"So Uraraka, what are you planning to do in the future?" Izuku asked absentmindedly. "Oh, I'm going to be a Pro Hero." she claimed. "Wow, which school are you going to?" he asked, already knowing which. "UA highschool, I just managed to pass the entrance exam and I started classes a few days ago." she explained. Izuku nodded before asking; "What are the classes like?". "They're hard, you expect that the top hero school in Japan would be difficult,-" Izuku nodded at this "-But they are slave drivers when it comes to assignments and work" she said.
"Hmm, that's definitely something to think about." Izuku commented. "So what are you planning to do?" Ochako asked. "Well... this, I'm going to keep doing anonymous Quirk analysis." he answered. Ochako nodded as the two made it to her apartment.
"I'll be off, it was a nice day we had Ochako." Izuku said. "Yeah, it was a nice date." Ochako blurted out. Izuku stopped and turned to her, a blush appearing on his face. Ochako's face began to grow red as well, she was about to apologize before Izuku put his hands up. "It was a nice date, I hope we have another one. So here's my phone number." he said while writing it down on a scrap of paper. Ochako just nodded and took the scrap.
The two parted ways for the day just as a particular skeletal woman approached Ochako.
Denki was listening to Mina's talk about her first couple days of UA. It was a weird mix of friendships being forged, their slave driver of a teacher (who they had run into before) threatening them with expulsion, and a strange sense of animosity from one particular student that Kirishima had run into.
Then Midoriya burst in the room red faced.
"Guys, I just had a date." he said before walking out.
It took a couple seconds before the fact registered to them. Their expressions gained shock and awe at the thought that, somehow, Midoriya had gotten that fae with a girl.
The League's recruits were amassing today. One big talk before their final plans would be enacted.
An assault on the USJ and the attempted murder of All Might.
Of course the Guild will be ready for it. They have a canary to warn those in danger and a strong enough arsenal to counter what they would be met with.
The only real worry is the so-called secret weapon that the League was hiding for their time to strike.
Izuki just starred at the message on his computer. He had asked Tokoyami to check it in case it was a scam, but it was legitimate. He had an offer for a meeting with the principle of UA himself, Nedzu.
What concerned him about this message was that he used his own name for it, not his anonymous identity for normal Quirk analysis. Nedzu was one of the smartest beings on the planet, only rivaled by two others who each had Quirks similar to his own, but even he is not omniscient.
How could he have gotten his name...
WAIT A MINUTE!!!
He has had a total of three sessions where he revealed his identity. The Overhaul meeting was out due to the fact that it was private. But his meetings with Ochako and Tokoyami's family were both suspect to it. His identity could have been reported by that skeletal woman to Nedzu and the principal connected his two identities. Or he could have been seen as a loose end in the case of the dissapearance of the Tokoyami family with him being one of the last people meeting them in person.
It would only be a matter of time before the police came to check in case of any connection there. Then he would be in real danger of being found out (especially if they brought in a certain detective with a lie detecting Quirk).
But back to the matter at hand.
Nedzu knows that he is the Quirk analyst, but he may not know that he is the vigilante Owl. So its best that he doesn't do anything to prove that suspicion.
The message itself was quite simple, it was an offer to talk with him and possibly analyze the Quirks of some of the students.
Nedzu may as well have been throwing chum into shark infested water.
So why not accept it, there wasn't much he could lose.
Of course he gave a warning to the Guild. He couldn't just walk into the hornet's nest without telling his friends about it.
Though he didn't expect the reaction he got.
He couldn't understand the looks of terror on his friend's faces as he told them about the offer Nedzu had given him. Sure some of them talked about how he was a chaos god (Mina gave quite the perspective for that), but he's still the principal of UA.
He was also going to ignore Katsuki's muttering about the "Signs of the apocalypse".
He used the card mailed to Mitsuki's address to walk right into the gates of UA. Nedzu had been polite enough to provide him an guide in the form of Cementoss so he could navigate the massive complex that is UA.
It only took them fifteen minutes to reach the principal's office.
When he walked through he ignored the scared glancing that Cementoss did before she left.
He was now face to face with one he would consider the most dangerous to so many plans. But he wasn't here as Owl, the leader of the Guild; he's here as Izuku Midoriya, the Anonymous Analyst.
"Greetings Midoriya, I hope you have had an calm morning?" Nedzu greeted. "I have, it's amazing just how large UA is. It makes me wonder just how large your budget is." Izuku responded. "Indeed, but as much as I would like to talk about our budget, I would like to discuss your analysis and the possible opportunities UA can have for someone like you."
Ah... That's why he's called me here.
He wants me to join UA.
Well, two can play at this game of offering.
"As enticing as UA is, what could you possibly offer me?". "Ah, there is so many things that we can offer you, but for today we would simply like you to follow me and analyze the Quirks of our students.". "Are you sure about that, I've been chased away for helping people and I doubt that there aren't people like that at UA.".
Nedzu seemed to pause at this.
"While I understand the plight that afflicts males in our cur-" he was interrupted by Midoriya glaring at him. "Don't phrase it like it's a disease. We're slowly disappearing and technology isn't advanced enough to compensate for it. But that still doesn't stop extremists from killing us enmass for being quote unquote 'Less than human' simply because we don't have Quirks like all the women in the world.".
Midoriya breathed in.
"I would like to analyze the Quirks of UA, but the fear of what some may do to me simply because I'm a guy is still strong. I want a guarentee that I will be treated fairly and justly." he leaned close to Nedzu.
"Yes, I can confirm this Midoriya. I do hope that you find this opportunity eventful." the chaos god of UA responded.
Midoriya nodded as Eraserhead walked in. She barely glanced at him for a second before turning to Nedzu and staring at him with a deadpan stare.
It was going to be a long day.
Eraserhead led him throughout the complex that is UA. He had spent the morning with the third years and was going to spend most of the afternoon with the first years. It was actually fairly calm for the time being, the third years were respectful towards him and quite receptive to his analysis.
Maybe out of fear for Eraserhead.
Or maybe they know how important information is for being a hero.
Either way his favorite Quirk out of all of them was the girl who could turn her body into whatever she had eaten. There were so many combinations and unknowns of the Quirk that he could spend all day just analyzing that single Quirk.
But now, he's making his way to the classroom of 1A, Eraserhead's personal class.
The very class that both Mina and Ochako are attending.
He steeled his nerves as he followed Eraserhead through the door. The moment the teacher walked in the class organized themselves. Some seemed to be confused by his appearance, others had a slight glare, and one was looking at him as though he were some sort of toy.
"Alright hell class, we have someone special here today. He's a skilled Quirk analyst and Nedzu is hoping to bring him in, so Behave!" she steeled that last word. Her describing 1A as the 'hell class' was enough evidence to show that today would be busy. What he wasn't expecting was the other teacher joining them.
"I am coming through the door, like a normal person." the voice of a certain pro hero came from the door. Izuku was exited and nervous to meet the eyes of the number one hero.
That didn't stop his confusion when he noticed the subtle glare the heroine was giving him.
Alright... He knows that they are a hell class, he knows that they are all young and aspiring students...
But did some of them really have to dress in such a fashion that would provide no protection.
I mean seriously. Giving yourself some sort of visual appeal is seen as part of hero apparel, but making yourself open to possibly fatal attacks is just stupid.
The girl with the most amazing Quirk in the class (sorry Ochako, your's is a close second when compared to her Quirk). Yet it was hard to fight against an aneurism when he saw just how little protection the outfit offered.
He was at least glad that both Ochako and Mona had taken his advice and made their hero costumes a mix of appeal and practicality.
There were other issues of course. The rudeness that certain students gave him (uptights and elites mostly). The utter ignorance when it came to the value of knowledge. The sheer amount of issues he was having whenever he looked at some of their costumes.
That's not even getting into how the grape haired student kept staring at him like a dog stares at a bone.
At least All Might and Eraserhead were both respectful towards his work (even if All Might's seemed somewhat forced).
As he left with the class he heard the muttering from a girl with hair that was half red and half white. She had a burn scar over her left eye as well (he may want to look into it). "Why does a boy think he can work with Quirks, he should just leave it to the women who know about it?" she said in a half whisper.
She seemed to flinch when Izuku's gaze shifted right to her. "I work with Quirks because it's a passion of mine. You should know that Quirks don't make everything." he shot back. The girl just grumbled at this, seeming to think of a response.
The black haired girl who's costume had almost given him an aneurism (her name was Momo Yaoyorozu) just looked at the girl. It was hard to read her expression but if he could guess, then the girl was close to socking the other girl in the jaw.
He was going to ignore this for now as he prepared each student a small packet filled with his analysis.
He was honestly amazed that no one destroyed his notes. He expected at least one girl to just throw it out or burn it in front of him to 'send a message' or something like that.
It looks like hypocrisy runs deep with some of these students.
Nedzu was polite about it.
Even when he declined joining UA.
What can he say, he liked his freedom of choice.
So here he was walking out of Nedzu's office at the end of the day, then he found an interesting sight.
The black haired girl was talking with someone. he wasn't going to peek, even if the topic was somewhat remorseful and apologetic. All he could get was that the other person was actually a guy.
So he passed them, only giving a wave to the Yaoyorozu girl and her mysterious companion, before he was out the gates of UA.
He was about a block away when he heard someone run after him. He turned to find the grape haired girl running after him with a crazed look on her face. He felt a wave of malice from her, so he was prepared to mace her to defend himself.
He didn't have to as the girl was pulled back and Ochako walked past her. "Don't try it Mineta." she growled at the smaller girl. She walked up to him before she noticed the can of mace in his hand.
She smiled at him, and he smiled back.
"Now my League of Villains, it is time for us to strike against UA and claim our goal." the blue haired girl shouted to the crowd. Their cheers were unanimous while the four disguised vigilantes each mock cheered.
"We Shall Kill All Might. We shall spread fear throughout Japan. We shall be remembered for doing something that no other villain group had done before." she exclaimed before a purple mist enveloped them all.
And they found themselves at the USJ.
Time to get to work.
Yeah, it's almost time for the clash between our Guild and the League of Villains. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
