Navy Base

At the same day (Chapter 4 to 6) at 17:25, the builders are at their tents as the remaining Naval base is still at a work in progress.

Inside the main Naval base in Kirishima's new lab, Kongou has received a lab coat by Kirishima who already has her own.

"Congratulations, onee-sama, you have passed Kirishima-san's science test! I'll let you lead the way!" Kirishima congratulated Kongou.

"Aww, thank you, Kirishima-chan, but I'll let you stay as a lead scientist! I'll be your assistant!" Kongou appreciated the gift that Kirishima had given her for passing.

"Y- you mean it!? Thank you, onee-sama!" Cried with joy as Kirishima hugged Kongou.

As that's sorted, the TV was already on as the news has been told at 17:30.

[Today we've reported that there's an explosion in Shibuya alleyway which had some blood on the floor. And another one's in a different area in Shibuya as well. Finally there's a bloodbath at the waterpark which has now been closed.]

"What?" Kongou then took a seat on a sofa as Kirishima leaned behind in confusion.

[The suspect has been found and described by many witnesses as they described this…

Kanako Kyouko: "I mean she's pale and wears a mask on her mouth while looking like an emo. She already broke my friend's arm and was trying to kill my classmate. She said her name is Kaori but no family name is brought up! Mama, I'm scared!"

Man from chapter 5: "I had to go to the hospital because that girl from before had crushed my arm with that much strength! I mean she looked like a zombie!"

Shigure: "An abyssal… Ka-class..."

Interviewer: "What?"

Shigure: "Nevermind. She is the criminal that should be dead."

Well that appearance had matched what this suspect is known as Kaori, who is being known as a serial killer in Japan. If anyone finds her, they will be rewarded for helping everyone around the world.]

Spitting out their drinks of bottled tea, both Kongou and Kirishima had witnessed that appearance behind a human girl's clothes.

"Looks like the third one's right. A submarine type abyssal!" Kirishima grunted.

"Shit! We have to save her!" Kongou gasped as she's trying to get off the sofa.

"Don't worry, onee-sama. With that many explosions, I doubt that this abyssal must've survived that kind of mess."

"I hope you're right." Kongou is already worried about the Admiral, Louis, as she's swigging through the same bottle.

Then Kongou tossed her empty bottle into the bin as she's leaving the lab.

"I'm going to check up on these workers. I bet they wanted a drink!"

"Good luck, onee-sama!" Kirishima waved as Kongou in her lab coat strolled down to the exit.

Outside the base are all the worker men watching anime together as the episode had ended. Some of them are crying and some of them are angry about what happened to their favourite character.

"Looks like we're watching the next episode boys." Said one builder as he bought out the next episode of the same anime they're watching.

As all the men were cheering, Kongou entered the tent looking cheerful as always.

"Hey, boys!"

"Hey, Kongou-chan!" The men replied.

"So I heard you're enjoying your anime!" Kongou asked with a cheerful tone.

"Hell yeah we are!" Builder 1 answered.

"That's great! Do you want anything to drink?"

"Oh, no thanks. Kashima-chan brought us some drinks."

"What?"

"Yeah! Just like Yuudachi-chan and Harusame-chan bought us food!" Builder 2 cheered.

"Man, Kashima-chan is such a cutie!" Builder 3 laughed while drinking his can of pop.

"While Kashima-chan is cute and all, I'd prefer if she was 2D." Builder 4 sighed.

"Damn, I'm so jealous of Teitoku! I wish Kashima-chan was my wife!" Builder 5 moaned.

"Maybe Kashima-chan's a lesbian? But that doesn't stop me from wanting to date her!" Said Builder 6

With more bickering about how cute and hot Kashima is, Kongou twitches in anger while keeping that positive attitude.

"I- I see. Anyway, have fun watching anime."

"Sure, see ya, Kongou-chan!" Builder 1 waved along with the other men as they grinned.

Back at Kirishima's lab, Kongou is walking towards Kirishima while looking dead on the inside.

"Ah! Onee-sama, how's it going?" Kirishima asked as she paused her experiment of how to make shipgirls more invincible. "Onee-sama?" Kirishima is confused about Kongou's behaviour.

"Hey, Kirishima-chan. Have you ever felt like your popularity has been sucked dry in someone else's favour?" Kongou asked coldly.

"Eh? What do you mean?"

Kongou then clinged onto Kirishima as she wailed out of dejection.

"IT'S NOT FAIR! HOW COME KASHIMA'S MORE POPULAR THAN ME!? WHYYYYYYYYY!?"

"Calm down, onee-sama! I'm sure there's an explanation!" Kirishima knew that there's no excuse on why Kashima's popularity has outmatched Kongou.

At least nothing major has happened to them this time.

??? Abyssal Base

17:30, the Admiral's office had news on TV which showed the interview and a culprit.

The door opens as the Ru-class battleship is dragging an exhausted body of Kaori who returned as a Ka-class submarine.

"Here's your order, milady; a useless piece of arrogant dumbass scrap that should've been dead a long time ago!" Ru-class pants with exhaustion.

"Are you okay, Ru-chan?" A Ta-class battleship had arrived by picking Ru-class up.

"Yeah… Thanks, Ta-chan." Ru-class smiled at Ta-class, considering that they're close friends.

"Well done, Ru. Get some rest for now." A voice behind the chair said.

As both Ru-class and Ta-class salutes, they then leave the office together and close the doors.

As the news ended, the TV was turned off.

"Ka, what do you have to say for yourself?" A voice has sounded calm, yet serious as she doesn't tolerate failure, especially when it's humiliating. "Not only did you become a wanted criminal, but you're embarrassing yourself as much as the abyssal fleet."

"Please don't punish me again! I did my best and I was this close to killing the enemy Teitoku!" Ka-class begged.

"Hm. You're lucky I'm not punishing you today, because in the next three days, you're protecting your sister. And I expect better from the both of you. Got that?"

"Yes, ma'am!" Ka-class then salutes while agreeing on doing the mission.

"Good. Then let us talk tactics, since you're not executing it right." Turning around as the black haired, horned woman was revealed to be the leader known as Battleship Princess, Dyson.

As she's starting to plan the operation with Ka-class, they're working on how to defeat the enemy as Ka-class is thinking about killing the Admiral.
