He was a clingy drunk.

He refused to let go. He wouldn't even let you go to your bed or let you go so you could use the bathroom. You had to wait for him to pass out and pry his arms off you so you could go pee. Unfortunately, that had woken him up, and when you returned you found him sitting up and frowning at you.

"I had to pee," you tried to defend yourself. He just frowned harder. You stepped closer to him and raised your eyebrows with your hands on your hips.

"Kakashi," you said.

Shouldn't have done that.

You hadn't realised you were that close to him, he reached out and pulled back onto the couch with him, this time he pinned you underneath him so you couldn't escape. He snuggled into you, burying his face in your neck again and hugged you tight with his arms wrapped around your waist, he used his knees to part your legs so he could snuggle in comfortably. He sighed, content and comfortable. You sighed, accepting your fate and wrapped one arm around his shoulder and the other hand filtered through his soft hair, making him sigh again and snuggle into you more. You giggle internally, so he likes having his hair played with. Eventually, you both fell fast asleep, your hand still in his hair.

You woke up to the smell of bacon, you were cold. The warm body you fell asleep with no longer there. You sat up on the couch and followed the smell with your eyes, you smiled wide as you found said warm body in the kitchen cooking bacon.

Silently you got up from the couch and approached him, you walked behind him and reached for one of the top cupboards and grabbed your favourite mug, slamming the cupboard door once you had the mug in hand. Kakashi spun, you giggled. All those years in the Anbu made it possible to sneak up on even the most skilled shinobi, he narrowed his eyes at you.

"Coffee?" You asked, still laughing. His eyes widen in interest, "yes please," he said. You remember he never used to drink coffee but started getting more and more reliant on it since becoming Hokage. You reached up to grab another mug from the cupboard as Kakashi turned around to continue cooking.

"Smells good," you said as Kakashi placed the plate down in front of you. Eggs on toast with bacon on the side, your favourite breakfast food. Kakashi ran back to the kitchen suddenly remembering something, he returned with the salt shaker and shook it in front of you before placing it on the table.

"Ha ha, yeeesss," you said reaching for it. Kakashi knew you liked extra salt on your food, you always had, always hogging the salt when you'd eat together as children.

"Are you feeling better?" You asked after swallowing a bite from your toast. He raised an eyebrow at you and hummed in question.

"You seemed a little upset with yourself last night." You clarified, taking another bite. "Really?" He said, tilting his head. You nearly choked on the bacon, you turned away from him as you coughed and he casually slid your coffee mug closer to you.

"You okay?" He asked, concerned but clearly stifling a laugh. You nodded in response, that was so cute, like a little puppy.

"So I was upset?"

"You don't remember? I didn't think you were that drunk," you replied, he seemed stable enough to you, although it was a little odd the way he was clinging to you like that.

"No I wasn't, I remember coming here last night and...heh," he paused, pink staining his checks, "sorry about that by the way, Asuma used to say I was clingy when I drink."

"I don't mind, it's just you literally said "I'm angry with myself" so you know, I figured maybe you were upset with yourself," you laughed taking a sip from your coffee.

"Oh," Kakashi said chuckling, "heh sorry I don't remember saying that." Kakashi glanced over at the clock in an effort to avoid your eyes. "It's almost nine-thirty, shouldn't you go down and open the store?" You shook your head, placing your mug down and swallowing, "I'm not open Sunday's," you raised an eyebrow at him, "shouldn't you be in the office?" He shook his head, "Nah, I've got time to relax today," he gave his signature closed eye smile, you smiled back at him and glanced to your couch.

"Wanna watch a movie? Or do you have plans?" You asked. Kakashi looked over to the couch and tv then looked back at you and smiled, "sounds nice, I don't have anything else to do."

"Great," you said standing up from the table and grabbing both yours and Kakashi's plates, "you pick a movie I'll wash these up. And before you say anything, you cooked, I'll wash," you pointed over to the cabinet, silently telling him to go pick the movie.

You weren't sure what you were expecting him to choose but it certainly wasn't a fantasy romance. Kakashi had the movie set up by the time you finished the dishes, and when you came into the living room and found Kakashi making himself comfortable on the couch under a blanket he found folded on the chair next to the couch. His soft smile greeted you as you approached the couch.

"This one okay?" He asked, moving the blanket aside and motioning for you to sit down next to him. "Yeah it's a good one," you replied getting comfortable.

Kakashi seemed to open his mouth to speak again but changed his mind and ignored your questioning eyebrow. As the movie started your gaze found Kakashi's hair, remembering how he fell asleep enjoying your hands stroking the soft silver hair. You stared, his hair was softer than it looks, and his shampoo smelt good, you found yourself wanted to play with his hair again and had to physically restrain yourself from reaching out to him.

Throughout the movie you noticed Kakashi's eyes on you, he couldn't seem to focus on the movie and kept looking from you to the movie and back at you. Eventually, you caught his eye after a while and raised an eyebrow.

"Yes?"

He blinked a few times and looked away, you caught the pink tint on his cheeks as he scratched just above his mask.

"Nothing," he mumbled. "Well you keep looking at me so it's something," you chimed, leaning closer to him. "W-well," he said, still not looking at you, "you just..."

"Yes?"

"My pair," he mumbled but you couldn't quite hear him, "what was that?"

"My hair...," you heard him that time, your eyes widened processing what he meant by that. Remembering back to the night before, how much he seemed to enjoy it. Red staining your face, you reached up and put a hand on him, rubbing it through his hair. Almost immediately Kakashi leaned into your hand and let out a satisfied hum, pleased with his reaction, you ran started playing with his hair freely.

You grinned, an idea popping into your head. After a minute you started very slowly pulling your hand away from his head, as you did he unconsciously started following your hand, his eyes closed, too preoccupied to notice what was happening. You kept pulling farther away and his head followed, eventually, his eyes shot open as he realised what you were doing, too late.

He lost balance, leaning too far, and fell right into your lap. You let out a loud laugh, covering your mouth with your free hand, looking down you found Kakashi's narrowed eyes staring up at you.

"Jokes on you," he said, mirroring your grin, "this is comfortable, I'm not moving." You giggled and moved your hand in his hair again, smiling more and he leaned into your touch and moaned slightly.

Ten minutes passed as the movie played on and you could tell Kakashi was falling asleep.

"Kakashi," you whispered, "I missed you too."

Kakashi hummed, he reached his hand up and grabbed your free hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. He didn't open his eyes or speak as he brought your hand to his masked face and kissed the back of your hand, making your face flush with heat.

"I'm not going anywhere." He whispered and squeezed your hand.

"I promise."
