Chapter 8: Broken Heart
Anakin walked to the council room. He entered and they were waiting for him. "I have something to say. Before any of you say anything. I know who the vampire is," he said. Ahsoka and Obi-Wan rushed in. "No. Don't," said Obi-Wan. Anakin ignored him. "Tell everyone I was happy. Tell them everything I know. My heart is broken now. I have nothing left here." The council members listened. "Who is the vampire?" asked Windu. Ahsoka and Obi-Wan stared horrified. "Me," said Anakin. He turned to Obi-Wan. "Get her out." Obi-Wan nodded and dragged Ahsoka out. Anakin turned back to Windu his eyes now yellow and his teeth fangs. "NO! Anakin!" shouted Ahsoka. "Ahsoka. No," said Obi-Wan. Ahsoka ran out of the temple crying. She ran to the graveyard and stopped when she got to Padme's grave. "How did you die? Was it how Anakin and Obi-Wan said you died? Or was it the vampire?" she cried. "What happened to your children? Are they alive?" she asked the headstone. "It was an accident. He didn't do it intentionally. He loves you. Everything he does is to protect you." Ahsoka turned around and saw Obi-Wan standing behind her. Bail Organa walked up. "Oh. Sorry. Am I interrupting anything?" Ahsoka sniffed and shook her head. She looked at him then back at Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan wasn't there. "Are you Ahsoka Tano?" asked Bail. Ahsoka nodded. "Yes. I am. You must be Bail Organa. Padme told me a lot about you when she was alive." Bail smiled. "Yes. We were good friends." Ahsoka smiled. "Yeah. She was an amazing person. And an amazing and supportive friend. I'm Anakin's Padawan. Obi-Wan is also a good friend of mine." Bail nodded. "Anakin Skywalker. I haven't heard that name since she died. She said if I ever saw you, tell you to tell Anakin that she forgives him. I don't know why she said that but he will." Ahsoka smiled. "Thanks." Bail nodded and left. Ahsoka started to head back but then saw Anakin walking towards her. She ran to him and hugged him. He backed up. "Anakin?" She looked at him. He had yellow eyes and fangs. "I can't. I don't want to hurt you as I hurt her. Tell Obi-Wan I'm sorry." He walked away. "Ani, wait! Please listen to me! Anakin!" Padme appeared in front of her. "Tell him I forgive him." Ahsoka nodded and went back to the Temple. She went to Anakin's quarters. She opened the door and saw him crying. She walked over and hugged him. "Padme forgives you."
