Forks, Washington

It had been 24 hours without any word from Bella. All of the Cullen's grew concerned. Alice no longer able to see her in any visions, not Victoria either. Nothing made sense. Edward again tried to call her cellphone but it only went straight to voicemail.

"I'm going to check on her." Edward spoke

"We will all go Edward. Let's split up, something isn't right." Carlisle said nodding to each member of his family.

A sense of trepidation and fear spread throughout the vampire's home.

"You're projecting again Jazz man, what's up?" Emmet asked his brother.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to." Jasper whispered.

"Jasper do you have any ideas?" Esme asked

Jasper sighed, something vampires never did. Too human and this action made the others even more nervous as they watch the war veteran in their family take off his Stetson and run his hand through his hair. His face looked pained. "It's just a theory…."

"Tell us." Edward demanded causing Rosalie to roll her eyes at him.

"When I was gone earlier I had left to go scout Victoria's army again. Before I could tell ya'll my report I heard each of you saying how you hadn't heard from Bella…. And well it got my thinking…"

"Thinking what?!" Edward growled

"Victoria's and her army are gone Edward."

"What? Why? How? Since when?" Alice spouted off questions. She hadn't seen anything happen. This didn't make sense! She hated not knowing things.

"I dunno Alie but if Bella is gone to than… I'm afraid maybe Victoria got what she wanted and left… I mean why else would she just be gone." Jasper hated thinking that might have happened, he adored Bella.

"NO!" Esme gasped and sobbed while Carlisle held her close choking on sobs as well.

"It would make sense…" Rosalie said softly. She never liked how naïve Bella was but didn't hate her or wish her dead.

"No! It can't be. I'm going to speak to Charlie and find out myself!" Edward screamed while running out the door.

The rest of the Cullen's sitting broken in the living room of their home hoping it wasn't true.

Edward had ran straight to her house and knocked on the Swan's door frantically.

Charlie opened the door and looked at Edward confused. "What do you want?"

"Sorry sir, I've been trying to contact Bella but she isn't answering her phone. Is she here?"

"What are you talking about? Bella left for college; you know that. Said she wouldn't be in contact for a while because she would be too busy setting up her classes and dorm room. Now if you're done trying to beat down my damn door you can fuck off. Just happy she left you. Never liked you anyways." Charlie grunted than slammed the door in Edward's very stunned face.

His phone rang in his pocket and he answered without looking at the caller ID knowing already it was Alice and she had seen everything.

"That doesn't make sense. We are all going to spread out and look for any sign of Bella." She said before hanging up.

Each Cullen taking an area or direction and scouting for their lost friend, sister, daughter… lover.

It was several hours later when they all met back up in the Cullen living room. Rosalie was the last to walk through the door. Venom in her eyes.

"What is it dear?" Esme asked from the couch she was sitting on next to her mate.

Rosalie didn't make eye contact with anyone as she approached. She dropped a charm bracelet on the coffee table that had a drop of blood on it.

"NO BELLY BEAN!" Emmet fell to his knees and screaming his agony. Everyone recognized the bracelet as Bella's.

Everyone was sobbing their pain except Edward and Alice. Both too surprised and stunned at this change of events. They weren't sure what to feel and poor Jasper was being brought to his knees by his own and all the others agony. Even the Major in his head as strong as he was had let out a whimper at the loss.

"I… I need to go…" Edward whispered than left.

Alice walked numbly upstairs to her room and closed the door.

Carlisle and Esme did the same. Needing to be alone to process and console each other.

Rosalie sobbed softly while holding her mate hoping to ease his own pain.

Jasper slammed his fist down shattering the table and leaving a hole in the floor. His own pain hitting him even over everyone else's.

Both Emmet and Rosalie looked up at him with wide eyes. They had never seen him so distraught. He was always the strongest out of them all.

Emmet stood on weak knees and grabbed his brother by the arm lifting him. "Come on Jazz, let's go tear down some trees…."

Jasper simply nodded before walking out the door. He didn't even have the strength to run. Both Emmet and Rosalie followed quietly behind him.

They walked for a couple hours before Rosalie spoke. "How far do you want to go Jasper?"

"Here is good." Jasper sobbed before squaring his shoulders and standing up straight. He turned to face Rosalie while wiping the venom from his eyes. "There's something I should tell you. I promised Bella I wouldn't say anything but…. Now that she's gone you deserve to know…"

Rosalie was speechless. She didn't know what to say. What could he possibly have to tell her that Bella didn't want her to know? She looked at Emmet to see him equally confused by this. It was Emmet who asked the question she was wondering.

"What is it? Why would Belly bean hide something from us?"

"It was mostly Rose she wanted to keep it a secret from but she knew in this house if anyone else found out than eventually everyone would know. Alice was the only person who knew because she saw it in one of her visions but she told me later when I was angry with myself for losing Bella in Phoenix."

"What did Alice see Jasper?" Rosalie asked her hands shaking with nerves. Emmet had seen it and wrapped his arms around his mate to help her stay grounded.

"When James had Bella in the ballet studio torturing her… Alice saw them talking in her vision.. She learned that…. Bella had gone to James willingly.."

"WHY?!" Both of them shouted.

"For you Rose."

"Me?..." Rose choked on her question.

"I don't understand Jazz." Emmet ran his hands up and down his mates' arms to calm her.

"When you were trying to draw James away with Bella's scent…. He was right behind you Rose. He texted Bella saying if she didn't come to him than… he was going to rape you." Jasper quickly wiped a venom tear away that ran down his face burning a path on his cheek. He was biting the inside of his mouth to keep the sobs at bay.

Rosalie kicked and screamed. She didn't know how to handle this. Nobody had ever done anything like that for her. Bella had nearly died for her.

All Emmet could do was hold Rose tightly in his arms so she didn't hurt herself but the entire time he wasn't sure what to think. The human who had truly loved like a sister with all his heart had been willing to sacrifice herself for his mate who he knew if he lost he would die.

It made the agony of losing Bella even more painful something he didn't even know was possible. Just as he had always thought, Bella truly was one of the best people in the world. She would always be in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Rose. I didn't know until after everything and Bella didn't want you to know. Alie told me that Bella told her she would rather die than let you feel that kind of pain after the way you had to be turned." Jasper whispered. He had told Bella in that hotel that she was worth it and meant every damn word of it. He had already adored her caring nature but after learning about her sacrifice he respected her bravery and courage more than anyone he had ever met or fought alongside in all his years on earth. She was one of a kind.

Eventually Rose stopped struggling and just broke. It was the first time either man had ever seen a vampire so utterly devastated that they were actually gasping for the air they didn't need. She could no longer even sob. Rose just sunk to the ground on her knees and rocked back and forth gasping and shaking. Her eyes wide with venom tears burning path down her face. No sign of stopping anytime soon.

Emmet moved to sit next to her and Jasper sat across from them. Nobody could move anymore. Nobody wanted to. They all wished that they could just stay there forever. Their wills to continue gone without the glue that kept them together.

Without Bella.
