3rd Person POV

"I didn't expect that kind of response, are you still angry for cock-blocking you?" Rubick smiled at Y/N.

"Pretty much, yeah" Y/N replied. Rubick held his hand out to Y/N, who gladly accepted it and pulled him back up "We have a lot of stuff to catch up, but I'm kinda busy here"

"So, who's that? A circus clown?" Rubick asked, looking at Roswaal.

"Yeah, be careful though, he's powerful" Y/N replied as he unsheathed his blink dagger.

"Oh, so you're using that? I guess you're being serious about this" Rubick said as his hands both glowed bright green.

"Are you both done?" Roswaal asked.

"Yep. Thanks for waiting, you're gonna regret doing that" Y/N said,

"Can we please stop fighting!? I know you killed them but we could solve this problem peacefully!" Emilia offered.

"Mercy is pretty much off the table at this point" Y/N said as he blinked in front of Roswaal. Y/N tried to strike Roswaal's neck with the dagger, but a wall of ice blocked the strike. Y/N got suddenly got hit in the face with a fireball, he got knocked away and landed right next to Rubick. Luckily, Y/N didn't suffer too much damage to his face.

"Welcome back" Rubick greeted. Y/N got up and dusted his suit.

"Can you at least help? I thought you made your hands glow because you were going to cast a spell or some shit" Y/N said

"Oh, no. I was merely healing myself because some man bumped into me and I hit my head on a comically large rock" Rubick replied.

"Alright, that's an acceptable reason" Y/N said as he observed both Emilia and Roswaal 'Alright, how am I gonna do this? If I went for Emilia, Subaru will surely scold me. If I went for Roswaal, Emilia will just block my attacks with her ice magic bullshittery, I think Roswaal isn't even getting serious. Yup, this is impossible, unless I use Catalyst of a Thousand Suns... Actually, wait, I forgot I could drain mana' Y/N almost facepalmed, he looked at Rubick, who was yawning and was reading a grimoire.

"Pssst, Rubick. I need a little bit of a boost here" Y/N whispered. Rubick turned his sights away from the book and looked at Y/N.

"Can you be more specific? I have a lot of boosts, like strength, speed, or-" Rubick didn't finish as he created a wall of rock with a wave of his staff, which blocked an incoming barrage of sharp ice crystals "-Endurance. Can you not interrupt?" Rubick looked at Roswaal and Emilia with annoyance.

"Oh, sorry. I thought you both are done talking" Roswaal said sarcastically.

"Apparently you're blind to see" Rubick replied. The rocky wall crumbled and Rubick launched a green bolt of lightning that bounced from Roswaal and Emilia. Emilia screamed in pain as she felt her strength leave her body. Roswaal grunted and applied himself and Emilia magic barriers.

Y/N walked beside Rubick while twirling his dagger. He stepped forward and grabbed a potion from his storage and drank it. He wiped his mouth and looked at Rubick "So, are you going to fight?" Y/N asked.

"Obviously. So, you got any plans?" Rubick asked.

"Yea, If I get closer to Roswaal, then it's game over for them, You know what I'm gonna do right?" Y/N replied.

"I get it. I'll make a distraction and you go make a run for it. Actually, why not right now? They're still kneeling like idiots" Rubick said. He waved his staff around and it glowed green "Fire Sage Arts [Sea of Flames]" Rubick pointed his staff towards Roswaal and Emilia, materializing a literal sea of flames and sent towards the duo. Roswaal barely had enough time to cast a thick wall of earth to block the flames.

Y/N dashed forward and reached behind Roswaal and Emilia in less than a second. Y/N kicked Roswaal into the wall that he made, as Roswaal collided with his own wall, a sickening sound of ribs breaking was heard. Y/N grabs Roswaal's head, then his hand began to glow light blue as Y/N began sucking out the mana on him.

Emilia began to ac, she quickly shot Y/N with a single sharp icicle, he leaned sideways to dodge the attack, but Y/N didn't see that the Icicle exploded, sending small pieces of it's sharp fragments everywhere. Y/N has been hit but the damage done was not too fatal.

"Heh, nice try" Y/N said as he threw a limp Roswaal to Emilia, she caught Roswaal and tried her best to heal him "Rubick!" Y/N called out, Rubick stopped his assault of flames and looked at Y/N.

"Yes?" Rubick asked.

"The thing! Let's do the thing!"

"Alright, but isn't it a bit overkill?" Rubick asked once more as he teleported beside Y/N, who grinned towards Rubick.

"Ain't nothing like overkill" Y/N said as the flames consumed his entire right hand. Rubick sighed as he too, glowed a bit green and winds began gathering towards Rubick's staff.

"Wombo Combo [A World of Flames!]" Y/N held his hand out, a wave of flames similar to Rubick's sea of flames but a bit bigger and more golden came out of his hand and towards Emilia and Roswaal. Rubick smiled in a sadistic way as he pointed his staff towards the flames, a torrent of strong winds pushed the flames, making it even much bigger and making the flames spread faster. As the Flames were about to hit them, a figure grabbed Roswaal and Emilia to safety. Y/N saw this and frowned.

"For. Fuck. Sake " Y/N clenched his hands in anger, this is probably the 5th time he got interrupted. The figure looked towards Y/N, as the face of the figure were in full view, Y/N's anger faded away and was replaced with confusion.

"Subaru? What are you doing here?" Y/N said as he took out his trusty Revolver that definitely doesn't misfire every 4 or 5 shots, and pointed it towards Subaru "I thought I told you to run, explain yourself on why I shouldn't blow your head off for interrupting my kill"

"Go ahead, shoot me! I don't care as long as you don't harm Ros-chi and Emilia-tan!" Subaru said as he spread his arms in an attempt to protect them. He looked around to see the corpses of his fellow colleagues, he looked at the bodies with a horrified expression.

"W-Why did you kill them!?" Subaru asked with the same expression, he almost looked like he's going to cry.

"What? I did say I was going to handle them" Y/N shrugged while still pointing his Revolver at Subaru.

"I thought you were going to just knock them out, not kill them!"

"...Tsk, you're just like Branwen" Y/N sad as he blinked towards Subaru and kicked him at his sides, sending him flying away "Now, where was I? Ah yes, public execution, not really public but you know what I mean" As Y/N was about to shoot Emilia, but Subaru came out of nowhere and tackled Y/N, losing grip on both his Revolver and Dagger.

Subaru saw this and tried to get to the Revolver, as his hand was about to reach the gun, a foot suddenly stomped on his hand very hard, crushing the bones. Subaru screamed in pain and looked up to see Rubick shaking his head. "Nooooot even close" He mocked as he laughed. Y/N got up and grabbed the Revolver.

"Hold him down" Y/N commanded Rubick. Rubick just rolled his eyes as he stomped on Subaru's hand once more, a cry of pain sounded after that. Y/N went to Emilia, who was still healing Roswaal and was crying, with tears dropping on Roswaal's face. Y/N noticed that Roswaal wasn't breathing and he assumed that he's dead.

Subaru desperately tried to get the foot, clawing, biting, and even going to an extent to use his head to bash the foot, but to no avail. Subaru's other hand began to bleed, he didn't mind as he kept punching Rubick's foot.

"Hey, hey, don't stain the shoes" Rubick said.

"Alright, no more interruptions" Y/N pointed the Revolver at Emilia. "...Fucking hybrid, but I do have to thanks you for letting me stay, really appreciated it" Y/N quickly pulled the trigger and Emilia dropped dead with a loud bang. Subaru screamed in rage and tried everything he can to get out of Rubick's hold.

"...well, that wasn't so hard was it?" Y/N looked towards Subaru, who stopped struggling but instead, looked at him with anger and hate "Jesus Christ, don't look at me like that, there's plenty of other fishes in the sea. It's not like you'll die a virgin without even having sex once in your lifetime"

"What are you talking about, you degenerate?" A voice said behind him, he quickly pointed at the Revolver to the one who spoke, but it was none other than Puck.

"Puck! Get out of here, quickly!" Subaru yelled to Puck, but Puck ignored it. Rubick looked towards Puck with great interest.

"Be quiet, Subaru. I don't care what are you-" Puck stopped as Y/N crushed him with his hand. Everything went quiet, eerily quiet. Y/N broke the silence after a while.

"...Huh, well that was anti-climactic" Y/N said, throwing the crushed body of Puck away. Y/N turned around and walked away, he was about to knock Subaru out, but he felt chills on his back.

"Foolishness. If you truly want to kill me...You'd have to do better than that" Puck said as he turned into a large beast. Y/N turned around and quickly shot Puck on the head, not only did it not do any damage to Puck, the Revolver froze and Y/N threw it away. A snowstorm began to occur as Puck's eyes began to glow bright yellow.

"I don't have all day" Y/N said. Y/N's skin turned crimson red as Violet Flames began to form around his legs and arms. The snow melted everywhere as the heat radiating from him was like over 39400 °C.

"It seems he's going all out on this" Rubick said as he finally let go of Subaru, he caressed his hand in an attempt to ease the pain. Rubick was confident that Y/N was going to win this, he was powerful, he even managed to (Spoiler ahead) go toe to toe with Salem. Rubick could also defeat Salem himself, but he just didn't have the motivation to do it.

"W-What's happening?! Why's it suddenly snowy?!" Subaru asked. Subaru doesn't see what's happening as he was facing the opposite direction.

All of Rubicks's confidence went away and was replaced with shock, as Y/N suddenly froze, from head to toe. Y/N's body began to crack as Y/N shattered into pieces. Rubick looked at Puck with fear.

"Die" Puck said, as he raised his foot and bought it down to crush Rubick.

"Time Sign [The World]!" Rubick yelled as time seemed to slow down and to a halt, he looked up to see the foot almost at his head. Rubick sighed in relief. "Well, that came in handy, I have to give my thanks to Sakuya later" Rubick waved his staff in circles and time began to go reverse to the point of Y/N holding Emilia at gunpoint.

"Y/N! Wait!" Rubick yelled out to Y/N, who sighed and looked at him with an irritated look.

"Whaaaaaaaaat?"

"You shouldn't do this. There's another way"

"Seriously? You too? Give me a reason"

"Just trust me on this, you won't regret it. If you won't comply, I would have to force you to" Y/N gulped. He sighed and gave up.

"Fiiiiine. What are we going to do now? Emilia here will surely won't let us stay at the mansion. Subaru here pretty much couldn't forgive me, probably. We pretty much don't have any place to go" Y/N said as he knocked out Emilia by kneeling her in the stomach. Emilia went limp and laid at the soft grass.

"What did you do to Emilia!?" Subaru, the annoying little shit, asked.

"You, go to sleep" Rubick said as he kicked Subaru in the head, knocking him out "Don't worry Y/N, I have a plan"

"What is it this time? Most of the time you say that, shit starts to get worse. Like back at our mission back at mountain Glenn"

"Don't worry, this is different. I calculated the possibilities of it failing, it's 0%"

"There goes a red flag..." Y/N muttered.

"Plus, I also got to show you a new spell I learned from sage"

"Which sage?" Y/N asked.

"Valorant. I modified it to affect large groups" Rubick lifted his staff, a large bright green magic circle appeared, large enough to cover all of the corpses, and began to heal all of the wounds. They all began to breathe peacefully as if nothing happened.

"Well, all of my efforts of taking them down was in vain. What are we now supposed to do to them?" Y/N asked.

"You'll have to get them convinced that all of it was a dream"

"Don't you have any memory wipe magic?"

"No, I don't"

"Wow, I guess your title as the grand Magus was just for show, eh?"

"Fine! I do have a memory wipe spell, but it's not perfect yet. There's going to be a chance that will erase all of their memories. Do you want to take the risk?" Rubick asked

"Well- Rubick duck!" Y/N yelled at Rubick and drew his Revolver to Rubick. He ducked just in time a morning star almost hit his head. Y/N fired his Revolver and hit Rem on the side of the face, sending large chunks of brain matter and flesh flying. Rem stumbled a bit before dropping dead on the ground.

"Wooo, that was close!" Y/N wiped the sweat from his forehead "About earlier, no. I'll just try to convince them. Up for a duel? The last score was 68-69"

"Nows not the time" Roach replied as he bought Rem back from the dead.

"Oh yeah, I was wondering, how'd you get here?"

"Roach sent me here to relay you a message, he says-"

"Wait wait wait, if Roach sent you here, can't he send me back home too?" Y/N asked.

"Let me finish. Roach says 'My old colleague is on his way for you, and it's not for catching up, he is coming for your blood. Y/N, you have most of your powers mostly untapped. But if you were to awaken them you might just have a chance of beating him. We're trying our best to hold him back. If you let your creativity flow, the sooner you can-' " Rubick didn't finish as the sky suddenly turned red for a moment then the ground began to shake. After a moment, the earthquake stopped and the sky returned back to normal.

"What was that?!" Y/N asked

"We're out of time, if you're still the way you are now, you're as good as dead!"

"But-"

"No buts! We'll settle our score after everything is back to normal. But it's up to you to make sure you make it long enough to settle it! Everyone is risking their lives by sending me here to relay the message, it was a dumb decision I know, and I don't have any idea why. They could've sent Mineta to relay it to you. Now, if we're done here, I have to go now" Rubick grabbed a paper from his pockets and tore it. A portal manifested in front of Rubick.

"Wait-" Y/N didn't finish his sentence as Rubick already jumped into the portal. The portal closed leaving Y/N there in silence "Well, things are getting a little spicy"
