Maggie had gone in to the JOC looking for Jubal but couldn't find him anywhere so she had gone to check in the small conference rooms finally finding him. Jubal was sitting at the desk working on his laptop rubbing his forehead as Maggie smiled opening the door stepping into the room.
"Hey there you are."
Jubal leaned back in his chair and smiled softly at Maggie "Hey, sorry the JOC was just too noisy."
Maggie came over to Jubal standing behind him and she ran her hand gently along the back of his head "Your head still killing you?" When Jubal nodded Maggie sat down the mug that she was holding right in front of him "I brought you some tea with lemon and honey to see if that will help your throat."
Jubal leaned in to Maggie's touch on the back of his head enjoying the contact and he smiled honestly when he heard what she had brought for him. "You are amazing you know that?."
Maggie leaned over kissing the top of Jubal's head as she let her fingers brush across the nape of his neck "I am just trying to take care of you, I mean I love you but you look and sound a little rough right now babe." She chuckled softly at the face that Jubal pulled.
"Always so sweet to me." He joked as he lifted the mug sipping it gently "I should have known that I was going to be the one that picked up the cold from Abby. I'm just glad that you didn't pick it up as well."
Maggie sat down on the chair closet to Jubal's and lay her hand on his forearm gently "I'm honestly surprised we both didn't catch the cold from Abby, considering she spent the last four nights in our bed."
Jubal reached out his free hand taking Maggie's hand in his "I really can't thank you enough for being okay with Abby sleeping with us the last few nights."
"You don't have to thank me babe, she was really unwell those first three nights with the cough she had. I'm glad she was feeling up to trying school today."
"Not many people would be okay with a child laying on them while they coughed and sneezed, yet you haven't complained once, so I know I don't have to thank you baby but I want to thank you because it meant a lot to me and to Abby. I mean she clung to you like crazy those few nights."
Maggie shook her head smiling and she ran her hand along Jubal's arm to the back of his neck, massaging it a little for him to try and ease his headache as she could see how heavy his eyes were. "Abby is your little girl so of course I am going to be okay with her laying on me while she coughed and sneezed her way through the night. You know that I love her and Tyler a lot…" Maggie watched Jubal for a minute "You sure that you are feeling up to being at work babe, you really look like you should be at home in bed."
Jubal couldn't help but smile when he heard Maggie talking about his kids, the smile was creasing the corners of his eyes as he kept his eyes on her. He closed his eyes briefly feeling her massaging the back of his neck as it was really helping. "That your nice way of telling me that I look like crap baby?" He teased playfully.
Maggie shook her head laughing as she leaned in kissing his cheek "You know that you will always look good to me no matter what babe." Maggie reluctantly pulled back from Jubal as she could see Kristen heading their way, the way Jubal had the blinds titled meant that he could see out but people wouldn't be able to see him.
He was confused why Maggie had pulled back until he heard the knock at the door and Kristen stepping in to the room "Sorry to interrupt but Isobel needs you both in the JOC we have a case."
Jubal smiled looking at Kristen "Thanks Kris we'll be right there."
Kristen smiled nodding as she left heading towards the JOC, she didn't find it strange that Jubal and Maggie were alone in the room, that was something that was common so she never thought twice about it. Maggie stood up when Kristen left and she leaned down kissing Jubal's temple "Go and grab some of the cold and flu tablets we got babe, they are in your jacket pocket. I'll tell Isobel you'll join us in a few minutes."
Jubal took Maggie's hand and gently pulled her down closer to him as he leaned up kissing her cheek "Thank you baby, for coming in here, your company is exactly what I needed and for bringing me this tea, it's actually helping ease my throat already. You sure you don't mind saying to Isobel?."
Maggie shook her head smiling as she squeezed his hand gently "I'm glad I could help you babe and of course I don't mind, the whole team heard you talking this morning, they all know you are feeling unwell so they'll understand."
Maggie leaned down placing a soft and quick kiss to Jubal's lips, she knew he had been avoiding kissing her since yesterday as he didn't want to get her sick as well. He smiled leaning back in his chair as he watched Maggie walk out of the conference room and towards the JOC, he closed down his laptop and went to find his jacket to take the tablets. Maggie walked in to the JOC, the team were already gathered up around the top waiting for Isobel to speak who looked at Maggie.
"Where's Jubal?."
"He's just gone to grab some tablets to hopefully help with his cold."
Isobel nodded before turning to face the team and fill them in on their new case, before Jubal made it back to the JOC Maggie and OA had already left to go to their crime scene. When Jubal made it to the JOC he was caught up by Isobel on what they had so far and he took his place getting to work.
The team were working tirelessly on the case, Maggie and OA had been out in the field the whole time until their leads had dried up and they were all now in the JOC trying to figure out what the next step was for the team. Isobel had made the decision that they needed to send two agents undercover to try and get what they needed on this case.
Isobel looked at the team "We are going to need to send two agents in as a couple to the event they are holding this afternoon see if we can get what we need."
OA looked at Isobel "That rules out me, Stuart and Tiffany, everyone involved with this case has spoken to us."
"What about you Maggie?" Isobel looked at Maggie while speaking.
"I only spoke to one of the suspects, so I should be okay to go in."
"He shouldn't be at the event this afternoon though so you should be fine." OA looked between Isobel and Maggie while talking.
Isobel nodded and then looked at Jubal "You feeling up to going in there with Maggie?."
Jubal had to try and hide his smile when Isobel asked him, he also noticed that Isobel was trying to hide a smirk, she knew that Maggie and Jubal were dating, she was the only one that knew. "Using me as a last resort for Maggie?" He teased playfully.
OA laughed "Try not to get too close to my partner I do not need her catching your cold and bringing it to me."
Maggie rolled her eyes shaking her head "Really nice of you to care about me and Jubal like that OA." She laughed softly.
"Hey, I am not getting sick, I have plans for a date this weekend." OA smirked looking at Maggie.
Jubal shook his head "Well thanks for your concern OA, but don't worry I will not ruin your date plans by giving your partner the cold." Little did OA know that if Maggie was going to catch the cold from Jubal or Abby it would have already happened.
Isobel decided to step in or she knew that this could continue for some time, she stepped forward looking at Jubal and Maggie "Why don't you two go and come up with a backstory for your relationship so that you have your answers ready for the event. It will allow you time to work on becoming a convincing couple."
"They actually make a cute couple." Kristen hadn't mean to actually say that out loud but she couldn't stop herself.
Jubal raised an eyebrow as he looked at Kristen while the others laughed "That is the only time you are ever allowed to say the word cute directed at me." He was joking playfully with Kristen.
"And maybe don't let Maggie's boyfriend hear you saying that, not sure he would be too happy to hear you saying that she makes a cute couple with our boss." Stuart looked at Kirsten as he spoke.
OA laughed "Well that can't happen as we have no idea who Maggie's boyfriend is, we have tried everything we can think of to try and find out."
Maggie shook her head "Yeah that's definitely my cue to get out of here, Jubal let's go." She headed towards the conference room at the back of the JOC.
"Bossing him around already, see you two have this whole fake relationship thing nailed already." OA shouted after them causing Kristen, Stuart and Tiffany to laugh when Jubal turned his head glaring at OA.
When they stepped inside the conference room Jubal sat down on one of the chairs leaning back as he looked at Maggie "So Kristen thinks we make a cute couple." He smirked playfully.
Maggie shook her head laughing as she sat down on one of the chairs, but not too close to Jubal as she knew the team were watching them. "Hey, be careful my boyfriend will get jealous, he's very protective." She teased Jubal playfully.
"When he has such an amazing and beautiful girlfriend only natural to be jealous and protective." He now had that smile that was reserved for Maggie.
"You really make it so dam hard not to lean across this table and kiss you."
"Now you know how I feel every time you just stand near me in the JOC." Jubal smirked playfully.
Maggie's eyes glanced at Jubal's lips before back up to his eyes as she ran her tongue along her lower lip before swallowing hard. "Focus.. we need to focus, stop distracting me with your looks and charm Valentine." She laughed softly.
Jubal had noticed Maggie look at his lips before back up at his eyes, when he saw her tongue run along her lower lip he was so close to leaning across the table and kissing her until he heard her speaking. "Oh I'm not the only one to blame here." He shook his head laughing.
They talked for a little coming up with a backstory, deciding to keep it as close to their own relationship to make it easier for them to remember. They came out of the JOC and made their way back up to the top where the team were sitting. OA looked at his watch when he saw them,
"That was quick, you sure you both are ready?."
Maggie raised an eyebrow hearing OA "You really doubting us?."
"NO…No just expected it to take longer than that." OA shrugged as he spoke like everyone was thinking what he said.
"Well we are good to go but I need to go home and change because this is not a date outfit." Maggie looked at her work clothes before back up at the others and looked at OA "Do not even think about offering to help pick an outfit." She warned him playfully, they really were like siblings.
OA held his hands up laughing "Okay we are going to head to the event and get set up nearby in the surveillance truck, Kristen is going to be with me, Tiffany and Stuart are going to be inside the building watching the event just in case you need them."
Jubal went over things with the analysts before he checked in with the team once more before heading to join Maggie, he told the team he was going to wait for her to get changed so that they could arrive together as they knew that people would be watching how they arrived, as they wanted eyes on couples as soon as possible. To the team this made perfect sense so no one questioned it. Maggie and Jubal went home and Maggie changed in to her tighter and much dresser jeans and a nice top that looked perfect for a date, Jubal changed his shirt and they left heading to the event.
They had both put in their ear pieces sitting in Jubal's car and checked in with OA and the others who told them that they were in position. Jubal and Maggie got out of his car and she came around taking Jubal's hand, walking close together, as they walked towards the building. When they came in to the cameras line of sight they could hear Kristen speaking to OA.
"They really do make such a cute couple, look at them, no one is going to doubt they are together."
Jubal raised an eyebrow looking at Maggie as they stepped inside and he made it look like he was just talking to Maggie.
"Kris you do know that we can all hear you right?."
"Eh no sorry.. forgot about that.. won't happen again." They could all hear OA laughing and then shouting Ow so they assumed that Kristen had slapped his arm playfully which caused both Jubal and Maggie to laugh softly.
They made their way into the event and they spoke to a few people before speaking to their two main suspects who asked so many questions about Maggie and Jubal's relationship. Jubal now had his arm around Maggie's shoulders as she was tucked in to his side, her hand resting on his chest. The team were really impressed as they listened to them answer the questions with no hesitation. Kristen couldn't stop watching how convincing Jubal and Maggie looked as a couple. They were all drawn out of their thoughts when they heard OA.
"Shit…Maggie, John Elroy is making his way towards your table, you need to hide your face somehow and quick."
John Elroy was the one person that had seen Maggie who wasn't meant to be at the event this afternoon. Jubal jumped into action straight away knowing that they were undercover as a couple so the team wouldn't question it too much, but would definitely be surprised. He turned to face Maggie and she knew instantly what Jubal was going to do, he leaned in kissing her slowly, moving his hand up to cup her cheek. His hand was resting on her cheek closet to where John Elroy stood, so he knew they were hiding her enough right now. It was hard for both of them not to get lost in the kiss, Maggie ran her hand along Jubal's arm.
The team were in shock as they watched, Tiffany and Stuart could see from where they were standing and Kristen and OA were watching in the surveillance truck while Isobel was watching back at the JOC trying not to laugh at her agents silence. They snapped out of it when they heard OA's voice.
"Elroy has left the event… eh very convincing there you two." He chuckled softly as they watched Jubal and Maggie break the kiss, leaning their foreheads against each other before pulling back from each other as they knew the others were watching. "Eh Maggie good luck explaining that kiss to your boyfriend later." They could all hear the smirk in OA's voice as he spoke.
Maggie rolled her eyes "Shut up.. Jubal just saved this by doing that." Maggie glanced at Jubal as she spoke to OA. They got back to focusing on gathering what they needed for their case, it seemed that seeing the way that Jubal and Maggie had kissed got their two suspects to open up even more to them and they slipped up giving the team everything they needed to arrest them and bring them in.
They had all headed back to the JOC to close up the case, OA, Tiffany and Stuart took the statements from the two they had arrested. They were sitting at their desks starting in on the paper work when Kristen joined them sitting in Maggie's seat as she wasn't there and she looked at the other's.
"Okay you all have to agree with me that Maggie and Jubal have to feel weird around each other after that kiss."
OA shrugged his shoulder "It was undercover, they were playing a part."
"Yeah but he's our boss." Kristen looked at OA.
"Okay that's true. Maybe that's why Maggie isn't here maybe she's avoiding him now." Stuart looked at them as he spoke.
OA shook his head "Isobel called her into her office when we were in the break room."
Kristen was about to speak when Elise appeared asking her to come and take a look at something on the computers for them in the JOC. Kristen followed Elise back in to the JOC and to the computer but her attention was distracted by Jubal and Maggie at the front of the JOC. They were sitting at the front of the JOC at Jubal's desk talking, that wasn't anything new or strange but Kristen noticed that they were sitting a little closer than usual which now had her full attention.
Jubal was swaying on his seat a little and turned to look at Maggie letting his leg hit her's gently "So you ready for the questions that they are going to have for you about our kiss?" He smirked playfully.
Maggie reached out slapping his arm gently and playfully "Could you maybe not look so proud of yourself while asking that." She shook her head laughing at him.
"Hey, I was just protecting our cover, didn't want you getting caught, getting to kiss you in front of everyone was just an added bonus." Jubal still had that smirk on his face as he kept his eyes on Maggie.
"You are such an idiot Valentine." She laughed shaking her head as she was joking with him.
Jubal sat up straight and leaned in a little closer to Maggie "Yeah? But I'm your idiot." He now had that smile that creased the corner of his eyes, it lit up his eyes and always made Maggie's heart beat faster.
"Yeah you are, nothing can change that." Maggie smiled as she kept her focus on Jubal, it was like they had both completely forgotten that they were in the JOC and not at home alone. Jubal moved back a little from Maggie as he started to cough a little, Maggie lifted her glass of water and handed it to Jubal "Take a drink babe." She kept her voice low so that only he could hear.
Jubal took the glass from her smiling as he took a sip before handing it back to her "Thank you baby, that dam tickle in my throat is so annoying. I've no idea how Abby put up with this."
Kristen hadn't taken her eyes off them, she couldn't, she was thinking back to them being alone in the conference room this morning when she went to get them, they were sitting closer than normal. It didn't take them long coming up with a back story for their undercover relationship, that kiss was pretty dam convincing considering Maggie had a boyfriend. Now they were sitting so close, Jubal's leg was resting against Maggie's, they hadn't stopped laughing or smiling until Jubal started to cough… and did Maggie… Yes! Maggie just drank from the glass Jubal had handed her back before she sat it down.
Kristen stood up and left the JOC walking as fast as she could without running, she went straight to OA, Stuart and Tiffany "Okay you three need to follow me like right now."
OA raised an eyebrow "What's going on?."
"I think I've figured out who Maggie's boyfriend is."
That was all OA needed to hear to almost jump up out of his seat, Tiffany and Stuart had to admit they were curious. Kristen looked at the three of them when they stood up "Just trust me okay? Come see what I've been watching for the last few minutes."
They followed Kristen to the doors at the back of the JOC and stood around her when she stopped, she looked over her shoulder at them before looking back at Maggie and Jubal as she spoke to OA, Stuart and Tiffany.
"I promise just watch Maggie and Jubal and you will see what I saw."
"Kris is this because of their kiss? We explained that was undercover" OA asked looking at Kris.
"Just watch them trust me."
Maggie was facing the desk as she was writing something, Jubal was facing her leaning back in his seat as he watched Maggie. Maggie's pen ran out of ink and she looked at Jubal seeing his pencil in his mouth she reached over stealing it.
"Hey, that's stealing." Jubal raised an eyebrow looking at Maggie as he laughed softly.
"Borrowing, not stealing." Maggie smirked at Jubal before finishing off writing using his pencil and she reached over now sliding the pencil behind his ear.
The team were huddled at the back watching closely trying to stay quiet so that Jubal and Maggie didn't notice them, OA was the first to speak "Okay, I'll admit that was a little bit too intimate to be just friends. But do you really think we have missed that they have been dating?."
Before Kristen could reply Stuart was speaking "Hey look…" they all focused back on Maggie and Jubal at the front of the JOC.
Jubal had moved to sit shoulder to shoulder with Maggie, he was showing her something on his phone that had them both laughing. They were watching a video of the kids on his phone, neither of them realised that Maggie's head was so close to laying against Jubal's arm. The laughing led to another small burst of coughing for Jubal and without thinking because she was distracted by the video of the kids, Maggie ran her hand along Jubal's back slowly as she looked at him.
"You doing okay babe?."
Maggie's free hand was resting on Jubal's bicep and he turned his head resting his chin against her hand gently as he smiled softly looking at her "I'm good baby I promise, I think I'm going to have to stop and get a cough bottle on the way home though."
"We can do that babe, why don't we get finished up and head home, you need to rest." Maggie looked at Jubal with concern as she could see how tired he was around his eyes.
Before Jubal could respond Isobel was speaking as she stood in front of the desk they were sitting at "Before you two head home you might want to go to the back of the JOC and pick our agents chins up off the floor." She couldn't help but laugh softly.
Hearing Isobel pulled Maggie and Jubal out of the little bubble that they had apparently been in and reminded them that they were actually at work. Jubal expected Maggie to pull her hand away from his back and his bicep but she didn't she looked over her shoulder to see OA, Kristen, Stuart and Tiffany all standing in shock, they all turned bumping into each other as they left the JOC as quick as possible when they saw Maggie looking at them.
Maggie laughed as she lay her forehead against Jubal's shoulder "I may have totally forgot that we were at work and I have never seen them all in so much shock before."
Jubal chuckled as he kissed the top of Maggie's head "I think it's safe to say that we both forgot that we were still sitting in the JOC."
Isobel looked at them both "When I realised what had caught their attention I assumed you two had just decided to be open in front of them, I didn't realise you were actually unaware to how you both were acting." She laughed softly before stepping away heading in to her office.
"Why has no one in the JOC said anything to us about it?" Maggie asked Jubal quietly, her hand was still on his bicep with Jubal's chin resting lightly against it as her hand was resting on his lower back.
Jubal looked over his shoulder to see Ian, Elise and Kelly working away on their computers and Elise just smiled when she saw Jubal looking their way before he looked back at Maggie. "I'm their boss and as much as we joke and trust each other I don't think they would question my actions especially not when it's my personal life."
Elise came walking up to Jubal's desk holding some papers in her hand "Sorry to interrupt you both but Jubal we need you to sign off on these for us." She smiled looking at Jubal and Maggie.
"Sure no problem Elise" Jubal smiled taking the papers from Elise with his free hand and he grabbed a pen signing what was needed.
Maggie looked at Elise "Elise you can honestly choose to not answer this, but why have none of you mentioned this?." She nodded at the way that her and Jubal were still sitting.
"Not our business to bring up, but haven't you two been dating for a while? We just assumed that the team knew and just didn't talk about it at work." Elise smiled softly looking at Maggie.
"You guys have known for a while?" Maggie was genuinely surprised.
"We spend most of our time in here with Jubal, the only times he isn't here is when he is in meetings with Isobel and if he's not there then we know he's with you. We kind of notice when he acts a little differently when you are in the JOC with him."
Jubal lifted his head and raised an eyebrow looking at Elise "I'm choosing to believe that you mean that in a really nice way Elise" he joked playfully.
"Let's just say that we feel a little less worried about bringing you bad news in the JOC if Maggie is around you." Elise chuckled softly as she spoke.
This got Maggie laughing as she looked at Jubal "I think Elise is trying to nicely tell you that I turn you in to a big softy."
Jubal pulled a face at Maggie which just made her laugh even more, Elise laughed when she heard Maggie and saw Jubal's words "Maggie's words not ours…. But she is right boss." Elise smirked playfully and quickly lifted the papers from Jubal walking away before he could say anything back to her.
Watching Elise had Maggie laughing even more, she ran her hand on his back up to his neck "So it seems your team think I am a good influence on you Agent Valentine." She smirked playfully.
"I'm not sure how I feel about my team thinking that my girlfriend turns me in to a big softy." He joked playfully as he kissed Maggie's hand that was resting on his bicep.
"I mean the way we are sitting right now babe isn't exactly proving them wrong." She ran her fingers along the nape of his neck making his eyes close briefly.
"And yet not one part of me wants to change how we are sitting." He smiled honestly looking at Maggie and he leaned in kissing her softly, keeping it short and sweet. Elise made it clear that everyone in the JOC knew, the case was closed so he had no reason to hold back.
Maggie was surprised by his kiss but responded instantly and she lay her forehead lightly against his when they broke apart from their kiss. "You ready to go and face the other's and talk to them about what they saw? I'm not really sure about what they actually saw because neither of us have any idea how long they were watching."
Jubal nodded hearing Maggie and he stood up slowly as his headache was starting to slowly come back, he took her hand in his entangling their fingers, he really didn't want to hold back now that people knew about them, he could be more open. Maggie lay her free hand on Jubal's arm as they walked towards her desk where she knew the others were. OA, Kristen, Stuart and Tiffany were sitting talking but they all froze when they saw Jubal and Maggie coming walking towards them holding hands. Jubal sat down on the edge of Maggie's desk as she stood behind him as she looked at Kristen and OA.
"This might actually be the quietest I have ever heard you two." She teased playfully "So we came to talk to you about what you saw in the JOC, although we aren't completely sure what you did see in the JOC."
OA looked at Maggie "Well that's up to Kris I mean it was all her idea." He smiled sweetly at Kristen making Stuart and Tiffany laugh.
"Oh Jeez thanks OA, you just threw me right under the bus there without a second thought." Kristen pulled a face at OA and then looked at Maggie and Jubal a little nervous. Maggie lifted her hand to Jubal's neck letting her thumb add a little pressure to the back of his neck to try and ease the headache she could see settling in. "See that! It was small things like that."
Tiffany and Stuart couldn't see Maggie's hand from where they were sitting so they were confused as Stuart looked at Kristen. "I do know what we saw with you but you realise Maggie's hand is by her side."
That caused Jubal to chuckle as Kristen let out a sigh of frustration, Jubal realised that Stuart and Tiffany couldn't see Maggie's hand as OA leaned back in his chair to see what Kristen had been looking at . Jubal looked at Tiffany and Stuart "Kristen hasn't gone crazy don't worry she's not seeing things, Mags other hand is on the back of my neck because this dam cold is causing another headache."
Maggie shook her head laughing as Stuart and Tiffany tried to move to see her hand on the back of Jubal's neck like it was something they needed to see with their own eyes to believe. Kristen rolled her eyes watching them and then looked at Maggie and Jubal.
"Anyway, like I was saying it was small things, this morning when I came to find you both for Isobel you were sitting a little closer than normal in the room, I didn't really think about it at the time because I thought Maggie was just checking on you because well no offence Jubal but you sounded like crap."
Maggie laughed as Jubal rolled his eyes "Really nice thanks Kris." He shook his head laughing. "So why pay attention to us being that close?."
"Because that kiss… I mean no way was that two people pretending to be a couple and if it was I was sure that you two would be avoiding each other and being awkward around each other. Then Elise called me in to the JOC and I noticed how close you two were sitting, you both kept finding reasons to touch each other. Your leg was resting against Maggie's, Maggie slapped your arm, but then you both drank out of Maggie's glass."
Jubal raised an eyebrow turning his head to look at Maggie, she chuckled softly "When you had your small burst of coughing I gave you my drink, I took a drink before setting it back down, it's not like you aren't always drinking out of my coffee mug." She shrugged her shoulder laughing.
OA decided he would pick up from there "Kris came to get us, told us we had to see with our own eyes, we honestly thought she might have gone crazy…" OA laughed when Kristen slapped his arm before he continued looking at Maggie "Then we saw you take Jubal's pencil from his mouth and put it back behind his ear when you were finished with it. The final thing that gave you both away was when Jubal started to cough and you were running your hand along his back, he lay his chin against your hand and we knew that wasn't just as friends."
"Who knew that my daughter would help you all find out that me and Maggie were dating." Jubal chuckled softly and he shook his head when they all looked at him confused "I caught the cold from my daughter which has led to Mags being that little bit closer to me today."
OA looked at Maggie "So you have been avoiding him outside of work to avoid the cold?." He joked with them playfully.
Maggie shook her head laughing as she was still running her hand along Jubal's neck slowly letting her thumb add more pressure in areas to try and ease the headache for him. "I haven't been avoiding him, pretty hard to avoid Jubal when we live together."
"And Mag's is the one that my daughter was laying on while sick, no idea how I caught the cold and she didn't." He turned his head a little to look over his shoulder at Maggie as he smiled softly at her.
"I'm sorry did you just say that you two live together?" Stuart asked in complete shock.
Jubal nodded "We've been living together for about two months."
"How did you know that we were standing at the back of the JOC?" This time Tiffany was the one to speak up as the other three were in shock after hearing that Jubal and Maggie had been living tighter.
"Isobel told us that before we left we had to go pick your chins up off the floor at the back of the JOC." Jubal laughed as he spoke but again it lead to another burst of coughing from him.
Maggie ran her hand along his back slowly as she stood closer to him and kissed his temple before looking at the others "I'm sure that you guys have a million questions and I will answer them but right now I'm taking Jubal home so that he can rest to try and shake this cold. No OA and Kristen you aren't allowed to blow up my phone tonight, tomorrow I will answer your questions." She teased them both playfully.
Jubal stood up as he took Maggie's hand in his again entangling their fingers and he said goodnight to the team as he and Maggie headed towards the door and they shouted after them that they hoped Jubal felt better soon. The four of them sat watching as Jubal wrapped his arm around Maggie's shoulders and her arm wrapped around his waist as they walked as close as possible walking towards the elevator to head home.
