This was actually kinda fun to write. I feel I rushed the ending a tiny bit, but w/e. These in-between chapters are just meant to be weird exchanges between the characters.

Team JNPR knocked on RWBY's door and it was opened by Ruby herself. "Good, you guys are here!" she smiled.

Jaune nodded with the rest of his team behind him. "Yeah, you guys said to meet in your room after classes." he confirmed then Nora slid passed him. "I heard there'd be snacks!" she scanned the room.

Blake idly pointed to the corner table where there were a few bowls of various chips and crackers. She ran over and grabbed one to begin devouring it's contents.

Meanwhile the rest of team JNPR walked inside and closed the door. Pyrrha saw that they had seating arrangements prepared already. As well as a foldable desk and even a whiteboard. "Impressive. I don't think we've had a meeting this..." she glanced over at Nora who now had orange cheese covering her lips and fingers. "Official." she finished.

Jaune agreed and turned to Ruby. "Yeah, it's probably a good idea you called for one. A lot's happened."

Ruby shrugged. "Actually, I didn't call it. Yang did." she turned to look back at her sister, who was currently sitting behind the foldable table beside Blake with her arms crossed. Jaune, Ren, and even Pyrrha looked at her a bit skeptically. In which she in kind narrowed her eyes suspicous of their thoughts. Ruby leaned over to the three of them and whispered. "I know, we thought it was weird, too."

Yang frowned. "Hey! I can call meetings!" she argued and Weiss rolled her eyes. "Yes, but it's woefully out of character."

"True, you have been acting strange all week."

Everyone stopped and turned to Ren. Even Nora stopped eating to look at him. It seemed he felt a little awkward. "Uhm...?"

Nora sighed and gestured her cheesey thumb towards Ren while looking at the rest of their group. "Yeah, Renny here's been more mouthy lately too."

He visibly flinched when she said that. "I'm just... Trying not to hold things in as much." he settled down. The future seemed rather bleak and he... Wasn't in the best shape during it all. Taking Yangs advice and letting some of it out might be the right idea.

Nora walked over and hooked an arm around his neck, giggling. Though incidentally wiped cheese all over his shoulder in the process. Ren flinced and tried to slide out of it. Seeing why, Nora stepped away. "Oh! Sorry." she grinned sheepishly.

Blake on the other hand glanced over at Yang. "He's not wrong though. Is how you're acting why you called us all here?"

Yang groaned. "Okay, yes. I've been a bit 'off'. Have things on my mind." she admitted. "And... I guess I wanted everyone here to settle everything."

Ruby smiled and stepped over to the table. "Alright then, let's get started." she said and sat down. Weiss sat next to her and Team JNPR took the seats on the opposite side of the table. Once everyone was seated Ruby looked at her sister. "So... You called the meeting. What's it about?"

Yang glanced at her sister, then looked down at the table in thought for a moment. Everyone else was silent, waiting on her. Eventually she sighed and looked up at everyone. "I think... We need to reconsider who we trust."

Everyone was silent for many moments. Ruby had her mouth open in shock, Weiss opened her mouth in confusion, Blake just stared, Jaune looked around rather awkwardly, Nora kept eating, Ren seemed impassive, and Pyrrha blinked a couple times then coughed into her fist before speaking. "I see... Uhm..."

Ruby spoke up before she could finish. "What do you mean?! Who don't you trust?!"

Yang flinched from Ruby's question. It wasn't like she didn't want to trust people. However Blake spoke up first. "This is because of what your Mother said, isn't it?"

Everyone looked at Blake and Yang nodded, relaxing. "...Yeah." she answered and looked at everyone else. "My Mom said that I should ask questions, that I shouldn't trust what everyone says at face value... And I'm not going to." she then took a deep breath. "I spoke to her a few days ago." A few eyes widened and some others confused.

"Ruby seemed to be of the ones confused. "You mean..."

Yang nodded. "I found her. The real her, not the one in the video and we... Talked. If you wanna call it that." She looked down. "Since then, A lot's been on my mind... And I think we need to just not blindly agree with everything Professor Ozpin and the others are saying."

Everyone was silent for a few moments. Though eventually Jaune was the one that spoke up. He began with nodding. "Okay." he said simply which not only surprised Yang herself, but everyone else in the room. "If one of us thinks we need to talk about this... Then I think we should too."

Weiss begrudgingly agreed. "Yes... It would be best if we're on the same page after all."

Though Ruby deflated a bit. She didn't like the idea of discussing their trust among friends and family. However she didn't voice any concern.

Jaune spoke once again. "Well... I don't know about you guys, but I'm certain I can trust all of you with my life."

That brought many smiles around the table. Pyrrha nodded and Ruby even perks up a bit. Weiss however scoffed. "Do I trust you? Sure. With my life? Debatable." this in turn caused Jaune to deflate a bit instead of Ruby.

Yang grinned a bit. "Don't worry Jaune, that's a big compliment coming from the Ice Queen herself."

Weiss glared at her teammate. "What?" she questioned but it didn't stop Jaune from turning his frown to a smile.

"Really?!" he asked excitedly.

Though Weiss turned to him now and slammed both hands on the table. "No!" she declared however it had zero effect on his mood. He simply stayed smiling like the bumbling fool he was. Weiss groaned.

"Let's just get back on topic." she says and a few of them nod.

Blake picks up from here. "I guess the best way to go about this would be to simply go through everyone we know." she turned to Yang. "That sound good?" she asked.

Her partner nodded. "Good to me."

Blake actually got up then and approached the whiteboard. She drew a single vertical line down the middle and then wrote 'Trust' on the left and 'Distrust' on the right. She then went to write down all their own names under the 'Trust' side. She then turned around. "Okay, let's start simple. Glynda Goodwich."

Ruby snapped her fingers. "'Trust'. Definitely 'Trust'." she would say with a smile. Yang shrugged her shoulders but Nora nodded. "Yeah, I doubt our combat teacher wouldn't be trustworthy."

Blake paused for a moment but nodded as no one else seemed to disagree. "Okay..." she wrote down 'Glynda' under the 'Trust' Column then turned around once more. "How about... General Ironwood."

Once again, Ruby nodded. "Definitely trust him too. Why would the general and headmaster of Atlas lie to us?" she questioned. Weiss also nodded. "Right. Winter works for him too, and I know she trusts him."

Blake hesitated this time however luckily Ren spoke up. "I... Don't know about that..." he said and all eyes turned to him. "... When me and Yang had that fight, the Generals name came up." he looked at Ruby. "Even you said we didn't seem to be on the right side."

Ruby deflated a bit at that and Yang looked in her direction. "He's right. I don't think things are so clear cut between us."

"W- well..." Ruby tried to defend and then looked at Blake. "M- maybe some kind of 'grey' zone? I mean... We can still trust him, right?" it was nearly a beg.

Blake was silent for a few moments but then sighed and erased part of the line in between the two sides and drew a small box where she wrote 'Ironwood' down. "Okay... So the General is... 'Grey'."

This time Pyrrha actually spoke up. "How about a harder one?" she started with and everyone turned to her now. "Professor Ozpin."

Ruby waved both her arms comedically. "Pfft~ That's hard? Of course we can trust Professor Ozpin!" she smiled... However no one else seemed to perk up. "... Right?" she questioned.

"I don't trust him." Yang said aloud. Blake nodded in agreement. "Neither do I... At least not fully."

Ruby looked between the two in what seemed to be shock. "W- what?! But... He's out headmaster! We're only here because of him." she paused and looked away. "Or... At least I am..." she mumbled.

Yang twitched at that last statement. "Silver Eyes..." she thought.

Weiss seemed in thought. "He definitely seems to have plenty of secrets..."

Ruby turned to her partner. "But don't we know them all now?" she defended but Jaune interjected. "How do we know that?"

Ruby flinched. "W- well..." she sunk in her chair again and turned towards Blake. "H- how about put him in the 'Grey' zone with Ironwood?" she smiled nervously.

Blake sighed and did as her leader requested. "Okay... That's two in the Grey zone." she announced and looked back at everyone. Then narrowed her eyes at Ruby. "... Qrow Branwen." she said and could see her leaders eyes widen in shock.

"Trust!" Ruby nearly shouted and slammed her fists on the table.

The room went silent. The young leader started to look around to see others look away. Even Pyrrha was trying not to make eye contact. However Blake was glaring right at her. "Yang?!" she begged her sister.

Yang sighed and looked at Ruby. "I'm... I'm not saying I 'distrust' Qrow but... He's definitely keeping secrets." she answered.

Ruby then turned back to Blake. "Grey Zone!" she yelled and pointed her finger desperately.

However Blake simply sighed. "This isn't going to work." she said and kept her eyes on her leader. "Ruby, you can love or care about someone and still distrust them. You can assume they have your best interest at heart but still be suspicious." she could see Ruby slouch at her words.

"B- but..." the young girl muttered.

However Yang suddenly stood up and walked over to the whiteboard. She grabbed another marker and erased 'Glynda' from the Trust side then 'Ozpin' and 'Ironwood's names from the Grey Zone. Then began writing a bunch of names on the 'Distrust' side. Everyones eyes widened at how long she was making the list.

'Ozpin'

'James Ironwood'

'Glynda Goowitch'

'Qrow Branwen'

'Taiyang Xiao-Long'

'Raven Branwen'

'Cinder'

Once she was finished she turned around and let everyone see it. "These are all the people I don't trust." she announced then locked eyes with a saddened Ruby. "... And Ruby, we need to be serious about this." she said then wrote one last name on the board.

'Summer Rose.'

When Ruby saw the name get writted her eyes went wide. "Yang! How cou-"

Yang slammed her fist down on the table, ending Ruby's outburst. "Our family... Team STRQ... They knew things. Things that they kept a secret up until now..." she hesitated for a moment. "Summer was part of that."

Ruby clenched her fists and shook a bit. But before being able to say anything more, Weiss stood up. She approached the whiteboard as well and took the black marker from Yang to write her own set of names under the 'Distrust' side.

'Jacques Schnee'

'Willow Schnee'

She stopped there. "My father is a cutthroat business man... As well as an extremely well informed member of Atleasian society... I wouldn't be surprised if he knew at least some of this... And if he does, then my mother likely has an inkling as well..." However she moved to the 'Trust' side and wrote down- 'Winter Schnee' then turned around. "I know you all just met her, but I'll bet my life that my sister is trustworthy."

Team JNPR looked at one another and shrugged. "Well, alright." Jaune spoke for all of them.

Yang nodded. "Yeah, I don't want to just distrust someone because I don't know them well enough yet."

Blake sighed and walked to the 'Distrust' side with her marker. She wrote down. "Adam Tauros' then hesitated before writing 'White Fang' under it as well.

Everyone knew what the White Fang was obviously, but no one knew who this 'Adam' guy was. Blake seemed to realize their confusion. "He... Was somewhat of a mentor to me. Taught me everything I know and leads a fair chunk of the White Fang."

She then went to change the subject and turned to team JNPR. "Do you guys have anyone you want to add?"

When she asked they all looked in thought for a moment before standing up to approach the whiteboard.

As time passed, everyone put down names, moved them, erased them, and discussed everything. At the end, the sides looked like this:

Trust

Team RWBY

Team JNPR

Sun

Winter

Oscar?

Zwei

Grey

Headmaster Lionheart

Headmaster Theodore

Professor Port

Professor Oobleck

Sienna Khan

Penny?

Headmaster Ozpin

James Ironwood

Glynda Goodwitch

Qrow Branwen

Raven Branwen

Taiyang Xiao-Long

Summer Rose

Jacques Schnee

Willow Schnee

Cinder

Adam Tauros

White Fang

They actually pushed the table out of the way at this point and all just stood around the whiteboard now. Yang sighed. "That's a lot under the 'distrust' list..."

A few of them nodded. There were friends and family under it that just didn't sit well with a few of them. Mostly Ruby who's been shying away from the conversation more and more as it went on. She was now sitting at the table behind them all, sulking.

Though that didn't stop others from speak up. "So now what? We have a list, but what do we do with it?" Ren asked.

Yang turned to him. "The people under the 'Distrust' list have secrets that we need to expose."

Jaune shrugged. "Well... Yeah, but how do we even start doing that? Ask them?"

Blake shook her head. "No. If we do that they'll try to deflect the question. Then just be suspicious of us and try even harder to hide whatever secret they're keeping." she then looked at everyone. "We need to expose just one secret, then the rest will come. That's how these sorts of things work."

Weiss nodded. "Right. The more secrets there are, the more fragile it is once out in the open." she agreed but then huffed. "However that's easier said than done. We have no leads and no proof." she paused. "Well... Aside for the videos... But they appear randomly and nothing on them wasn't told to us already. That, or it surprised the others as well."

"Actually... I don't think it's all that random." Jaune interjected and all eyes turned to him. Weiss herself had a questioned look. "What do you mean? They just appear out of thin air."

Jaune scratched the back of his neck. "Well, yeah... But they always show up when someone's talking about something specific. Like... Uhm... You said the first one showed up when you guys were talking about who would work for Salem, then that Cinder video showed up."

Blake then looked at Yang who was just looking towards the ground now. "You said the video about your Mother appeared when you were arguing with Qrow about her." she stated and Yang sighed.

"... Yeah."

There was a silence.

Weiss narrowed her eyes. "You figured all this out already, didn't you?" she questioned but knew it was already true when she saw Yang's expression flinched.

"I... Had an idea, I guess." she answered. Though it didn't stop Weiss from pushing. "Why didn't you tell us?!" she demanded then pointed at the whiteboard. "Maybe we should put you on the 'distrust' side!"

Ruby finally stood up from the table when her sister was accused. "Hey! No fighting!"

Though to everyone's surprise Yang just turned away from Weiss. "Yeah, whatever. It doesn't matter now."

Weiss scoffed. However Blake's eyes narrowed at her partner. "You know how to make another video appear, don't you?"

Yang eyes widened and looked up in a panic. "U- uh..." she mumbled but Blake kept going. "Yang, we're your friends." she said and turned to Weiss. "And we trust you." she basically told the heiress who then sighed.

Pyrrha walked up. "We do to. So... Why don't you want the video to appear?"

Yang sighed and turned her head to look at a very concerned Ruby. "Because I'm..."

"I'm scared."

That's what she felt, but instead of saying it she just looked down and spoke the question which she knew would spawn another video-

"What's so special about Silver Eyes?"

The room then erupted in a bright light for just a moment, blinding everyone like always. They all flinched and covered their eyes. When the light subsided there was a disc already in Yang's hand. On it read- 'Silver Eyes'.

Ruby looked at the discs title and thought of the question her sister asked. "... Yang? What do you-"

"Let's just get this over with." Yang interrupted and looked at the others now. "Call the others, and don't tell them what the title is. Just say it's blank."

Weiss nodded hesitantly. "... Right, they might be able to think of an excuse why they didn't tell us." she said and looked towards Ruby who seemed to be lost in thought now. Though, everyone seemed to be a bit at a loss.

What was so special about Silver Eyes?
