You were all sort of split on Bella & Charlie's conversation yesterday. This Bella is pretty blunt and feisty, and I definitely will dive a little more into her relationship with her dad as we go.
For now, here is some more Emmett!
As always, thank you to my beta, Fran S. Flower, and my pre-readers, Jgaff & DaniDarlingxx.

"Yeah, Ma, I'm being safe."
Ma hums over the phone. "Honey, I think you should come home. Your sisters are here, and we still have your room ready for you," she says for what has to be the tenth time.
"Ma," I grunt. "I'm fine. I'm staying here. School might open up again, and then all I'll have done is wasted the money on a flight home."
I throw that in, hoping it'll appeal to her frugality. She is quiet as she considers it. "I suppose you are right. But honey, I'd feel better if you were home."
I smack my head on the girl's dining room table. "Ma, I gotta go," I mumble.
"Emmy, just think about it, all right? Your sisters have already agreed, and…"
I shake my head. "I'll call you later, Ma. Love you."
I don't give her space to keep arguing as I hang up. Rose glances at me over her phone and smirks. I shake my head. "She's telling me my sisters are home like that's supposed to entice me back." I shudder, shaking my head. Rose snorts. I have three older sisters, and though I love them, I also love being clear across the country from them.
Jasper and I crashed at the girl's house last night, being exhausted after the shopping trip from hell. We should probably head home to our own place soon, but honestly, our house is shit compared to the girls' place. We live with two other dudes from school, and though they are chill enough, they are messy as hell. The girl's place always smells amazing whenever we come over.
There's a loud thumping from the stairs, and I look up to see Bella dragging her ass downstairs. Her hair is in a messy knot on her head, and she's wearing a hoody over her sweats. She looks pissed.
"Morning, Sunshine!" I call to her.
"Bite me," she snaps, heading straight into the kitchen. I feign hurt.
"I don't think she likes me that much," I pout. Rose rolls her eyes, barely impressed.
"Unless you're a massive cup of coffee or ready to fuck that stick out of her ass, she's gonna hate you," Rose mutters. I snicker. Rose, as usual, is totally right.
This was, of course, one of the most common conversations had when the pandemic hit and students were deciding to go home or stay. Since these kiddos (who are about 22 in my head) aren't in student housing, I decided to let them stay put. Yes, LA is probably one of the least safe (COVID wise) places they could be, but since this is approximately where I spent my lockdown, I felt it best to write from here. See you loves tomorrow!
