Chapter 7
The following morning just outside the east gate Menma being accompanyed by Kakashi, one hung over Jiraiya and Croaker to help him pass the borders into the Land of River, Kushina, Naruto and Nasumi trying everything in them to hold back tears knowing that he may never come back to them while Minato gave Croaker a small scroll who looked confused.
"There's enough food, water and money to two weeks hopeful it will as long as you need it, keep away from the main countries and hide well they may not as generous to 'Curs... I mean Saiyans than we are so be careful and plan ahead alright"
Minato trying just as hard as the rest of his family to control himself.
"Don't worry I won't let my first student get into trouble you have my word Hokage" Minato nodding at this.
"Right kid say you final farewells we got a long road ahead of us"
"Okay... Mom dad I'm not... going to say goodbye... because we will meet... again and when we will... I'll show you's what a true Saiyan can do til then farewell"
Menma getting big hugs from his father and the same with kisses from his mother.
"Be safe sochi and remember to eat well your still growing and I want to you get big and strong okay" Menma just nodded his head tears flowing down.
"Naruto, Nasumi train hard and... when you meet the Fox be... kind to him... remember he just wanted to be left alone so it maybe hard... for him to trust you... okay"
Both Naruto and Nasumi couldn't contain there tears so they just let it go and embraced there brother who they may never see again.
"Come on kid we got to go, get on Croakers back you not fast enough to reach the border"
Menma releasing himself from his siblings and nodding at Jiraiya and went over and got on Croakers back "Kakashi you lead the way and I'll be right behind you" Kakashi just nodded and went upfront "Right kid hold on tight were going".
During the five days of travel to the borders they were being accompanied by Anbu under orders from his father to make sure he got across the border safely, on the fifth they had arrived at the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Rivers with their Anbu guard falling back.
"So this is where we part ways Pervy Sage"
"Not quite kid, Kakashi can't come but I can for a while also remember to give any letters you have to Croaker he'll make sure they get home safe and sound okay"
Menma just nodded before turning to face Kakashi and giving him a big hug.
"Bye big brother... take care of yourself... anf for the sake of everyone get a girlfriend... you need one"
The Anbu nearby hearing this laughed at Kakashi who just responded by giving Menma a hug in return and a bonk on the head.
"I'll try but I cant promise, but you stay our of trouble and don't draw attention to yourself remember don't hide in the crowd blend into it okay" Menma nodded before Croaker and Jiraiya continuing the trip across.
As Menma made his way to the Land of Rivers Nasumi in her sadness found herself being pulled into somewhere and the next thing she knew she was in a dark and dank place.
"Okay now.. where am I this looks like a sewers but ho..."
Before she could finish "COME TO ME CHILD"
A dark voice echoed infront of her Nasumi trying to find strength in herself focused and moved forward, after a minute of walking she came across a huge room with a huge gate with a piece of paper on it with the Kanji for Seal on it, immediately the pieces fell into place and saw behind the gate a great oragne fox with 9 tails flowing calmly behind his back.
"YES CHILD LOOK AND BEHOLD FOR I AM THE MIGHT NINETAILED..."
"FLUFFY TAILS"
"FLUFFY TAILS Wait what that's not what I wa... wait where are you"
The giant orange Fox for once in his looked confused standing before him was his Jailer before he closed his eye to give some grand introduction and when he opened them she was gone, then the Fox felt something on one of tails and brought it towards his face.
"What the?"
Again the giant fox was confused at what he was seeing of all the humans he meet they just ran away in fear or tried to control him or seal him away and yet his jailer has buried herself in his tail like is he was some sort of plushie.
"Well this is new"
Nasumi hearing the fox and looking at him with his rows of sharp teeth normally this would scare her but yet again she just jumped onto his head and began rolling around "SO FLUFFY FLUFFY FLUFFY"
"She is going to be annoying but it will make things easier at least"
The Fox just sighed at his host silly antics, meanwhile with Naruto who was pulled away had a similar reaction only a bit different.
"Kid I just introduced myself and your just staring at me for about five minutes say somethi..."
"YOU ARE SO COOL LOOKING"
"Yes I know that I terrify yo... wait what did you just human"
"You are so cool looking I mean I know that mum and dad said that you attacked Konoha but they also said that you were being controlled and that you just wanted to be left alone and that the other two people who you were sealed away into including mom just ignored you, but how can I not ignore something so cool such as you I mean your the Nine Tailed Fox the most powerful out of the other Tailed beasts and your orange that's so cool looking"
The dark orange fox was for once in his entire life was complete lost of words he wasn't expecting this kind of action from the child.
"That's a first coming from you humans normal you would call us monsters and runaway but not that"
"What I heard how the first Hokage in his attempt to make peace captured the other Tailed Beasts and gave them away which was cruel and stupid, forcing them against their will to become weapons for a Village that doesn't care about them is just wrong"
The fox hearing this was shocked and being in his head he knew Naruto was telling the truth and that brought a smile to his face.
"Kid you and I are going to get just fine, I wonder how my other half is doing with your sister"
Hearing this Naruto just chuckled knowing what Nasumi was like "She probably start by jumping into of his tails before jumping on his head rolling around while shouting something like 'so cute' or 'so fluffly' she has a collection of such things in her room" the Fox hearing this chucked at first before laughing his ass off.
After Menma crossed into River Country Croake stopped and he and Jiraiya looked around making sure they were alone after a minute or two of checking .
"Right kid off you get we got work to do"
Menma hearing this let go of Croaker and walked infront of him "Okay sensei what have I got to do"
"Kid like I said before this won't be easy Jiraiya got some work in River and while he does that I will be training you on how to survive out here as well as Martial Arts, but your energy training kid that will be up to you on how to proceed because neither me, Jiraiya, the other toads or anyone knows anything about that, the good thing going for us that you already have tapping into so that takes some time off our training but like I said we are in the dark about training energy so if you can think off anything that could help we will give it a shot okay"
Menma hearing this nodded.
"Good, then the first thing we are going to do then are exercises to get you body in shape before we began any fighting exercises okay"
"Yes sensei I understand and I wont let you down"
"We'll see kid, we'll see" Jiraiya hearing this knew it will be tough but hoped that Menma was strong enough to endure the training.
"Alright kid give me 100 push-ups, jumps, lunges and squats understand" Menma nodding immediately began doing push-ups.
"Good we'll being doing this every day as well as running and skipping for about a month during that time I'll teach you how to hunt, forage and how to build a shelter understood"
"Yes sensei... I understand" Menma saying while still doing push-ups.
"Going hard on the kid are you Croaker maybe you should back up a bit... " before Croaker could respond to Jiraiya.
"No... I have to... do this..."
"He's right Jiraiya he's out here with just us and after two month you be gone he has to learn it may be harsh but it's much harsher out here Jiraiya and you know that especially if people find out what he is and with Orochimaru out there his secret may spread further and don't deny it"
Jiraiya want to argue it knew he would lose because Croaker was right, even before the last war it was just as dangerous so Menma needed to get tough or he'll die out here "Your right Croaker but just make sure to hurt him too much okay" Croaker nodded in agreement.
After a month since Menma banishment and his training began it was intense for the first week it was tough but he manage to pull through but the next week Croaker gave him 15 pounds weighted arm and leg bands as well as 40 pound undershirt Menma found it extremely hard to move with 100 pounds of weights but kept up none the less, for the survival training Croaker had Menma identify which herbs were poisonous, which could be used to heal and which were edible as well as making spears to hunt with and identifying which animals tracks belong to which species.
Jiraiya watching Menma train sent letters to Minato for the boy detailing on how tough he was doing the training during the second month Croaker seeing Menma improve greatly began teaching him Martial Arts starting with the basics before moving on to more advanced ones Menma took this like sponge to water which showed Croaker Menma's potential, halfway through the second the praty came across a crossroad.
"Well kid this is where we part ways good luck and here's something to read in the mean..."
Just before Jiraiya could give Menma the book Croaker immediately saw what the book was and smacked it away from him.
"JIRAIYA DON'T YOU DARE CORRUPT MY STUDENT DO YOU HEAR ME"
"Okay okay Croaker you win take it easy I'll wait til he's older okay" Croaker just shook his head Jiraiya getting the message just sighed in defeat.
"fine you win... kid good luck and remember to keep writing letters it'll be good for them to know your still alive okay"
"Yes Godfather Jiraiya I understand" Menma saying this went to hug Jiraiya who was shocked for a moment at being call godfather for the first time responded by returning the hug back.
"Good luck kid"
"You too Jiraiya and remember don't let the anyone find you doing 'research' okay"
Jiraiya just chucked at that while waving his and walking away from the kid and the toad into Suna.
"Right kid let's get back to our training we still got alot of work to do"
"Yes sensei I understand but if I may ask that can I have 1 day of the week to resume my energy training please"
"Good thinking kid you progressed well enough to resume it but keep doing your morning routines understand" Menma nodding in agreement before they left to go into the forest to resume his training.
Since the two months that Menma was banished things were changing with the Hidden Leaf, since the excution of Danzo and Orochimaru being branded a traitor, Menmas secret spread across the village like wildfire with villagers looking at Naruto and Nasumi as if they maybe monsters as well but thankful it was just the looks as the secret regarding them as Jinchurikis was still holding with no one knowing who that person was or persons, thankful there friends were there help them after hearing that Menma was a 'Cursed Child' and their parents explaining to them what that means and the Law regarding them which shoked them that such a Barbaric Law was in place and that they would've keeped Menma's secret a secret which brought a smile to their parents knowing their kids understood what they told them.
With the hyuga's, the new Seal was finished and Hiashi asking Minato and the Clans for help incase the elders interferred but didn't seeing that even though the old seal protected the Clan it only protected the Branch leaving the Main family a prime target for those who wanted to steal the Byakugan but with the new seal everyone will be using it and though they didn't like that the new seal didn't have a disicipline technique to keep the Branch family in line but Hiashi told them he wanted it that way to bring the families together as one and asked Minato to begin the New Seal with the main family first and then remove the old Seals from the Branch and apply the new one's a few days later which the Branch family was shocked that the Main Family let alone that the Clanhead was the first to recieve it but Hiashi just said that it was the first step to mend the rift that the Old Seal caused.
With the Uchiha's, after Itachi had finished reading the book felt decided to see if Satsuki could use it and went off to find her in the garden watching the clouds go by with his mother Mikoto, Itachi gave his mother the book and told her to read it and went over to Satsuki and remembering what Menma telling him what to do instructed her to do the same both Satsuki and Mikoto seemed confused but Satsuki decided to go with it and after a minute nothing seemed to happen but before she gave up a small orb of energy appeared shocking not only Itachi and mikoto but also Fugaku and Sasuke who was watching as well, Satsuki was told to keep focusing and to slowly open her eyes when she did this she saw the orb for half a minute before she lost focus causing the orb to disappear everyone then looked at Itachi for answers who just said to the read the book and what Menma told him to do hearing this Fugaku decided to call a Council meeting.
During the meeting Fugaku decided to reveal that there were 4 more 'Cursed Children' that the Uchiha were hiding but also told them that their tails was needed to transform and without it they couldn't bringing shock to the Council that the Uchiha had this info that could've saved any 'Cursed child' born but they were confused when the Hokage called them 'Saiyans' which Fugaku then brought his daughter to the meeting to show them what she did back home Satsuki hearing this stepped infront of them showed them the ball of energy in her hands Fugaku then brought out the book telling them that the Great Sage wrote it with the Toads help hearing this the Council turned to face their Hokage who explained that Menma before the banishment took effect was hovering infront of there family showcasing one of the Saiyans abilities hearing this the Council decided that until the Law is removed that any 'Cursed child' or Saiyans born will be kept secret and in the meantime they will be taught how to control there abilities seeing as the power of flight was an extremely rare abililty that only 4 people were capable of performing said ability two of which were jinchurikis hearing this everyone agreed this would give Konoha a whole new advantage should war come knocking on there doors.
Back with the Hokage's family Naruto and Nasumi revealed that they made contact with the fox which worried there parents but the siblings told them how there introduction with fox happened with Nasumi calling the fox 'Fluffy' because of how his fur felt which her mother grabbed her and asked how the fox didn't attcked but Nasumi just said that fox was confused by her actions as well and just said that they get along fine because Nasumi wasn't afraid of him and didn't ignore him which cause Kushina to think back on what she did or more accurately what she didn't do, Naruto explained his meeting with Fox which again brought shock that Naruto said those things about the First Hokage but understood what he meant both parents decided to hold back on training them til the baby was born which Kushina was beginnning to show.
Things also took a shocking turn when Tsunade came out that she was pregnant after a drunken one night stand with Jiraiya which brought even more shock that it happened in the first place but she just explained that she's giving Jiraiya and herself a chance, during all this Minato also recieved a letter from the Fire Daimyo explaining that the Law hand time limit for 100 years after which the law will be brought before the current Daimyo to decide if the law will continue and the next meeting about it was in 5 years reading this Minato told the Council and his Family the good news and wrote a letter to Menma explaining that his Banishment will end in 5 years and he will send him a letter telling him it's over.
It's been 8 months since the Banishment and Menma training has grown considerable he has mastered both the basics and the advances moves of his training so much that Croaker even called him a Martial Artist and that in a year or less he will be a Martial Arts Master at the rate he was going, his weight training also grew from 15 pounds to 30 pounds weight bands and from 40 pounds to 80 pounds undershirt, his flight ability grow rapidly that it was basically mastered but they only used at night so that no one saw them, during his energy training Menma manage to create several new techniques which the first was called 'Croaker Cannon' which was Menma channeling two orbs in his hands before clasping together unleashing a beam of bright green energy that destroyed anything in it's path Croaker hearing that Menma named his first attck after him was feeling deeply proud even if he didn't show.
Menma next attack was called 'Meteor shower' which was Menma stretching out his right hand and clasping his left hand above the elbow which he could rapidly fire small energy orbs at his enemies which for the moment could fire up to 20 orbs before he was exhausted, Menma could also fire small finger beams that he could use for precision and to take out his enemies one at a time while both conserving his reserves and keep causalities down to a minimal if need be he also created 'Solar Flare' which Menma channel by placing his two fingers on the sides of head and focusing his energy into a very bright flash which would blind any opponents or pursers allowing him to either attack or flee, Menma also received a letter from his father explaining the changes that was happening in Konoha and that the Law was ending in about 5 years which brought him joy.
However something else also happened near his 8 months of training even though the two took every precaution to avoid trouble they couldn't avoid this one which was a family of merchents being attacked by bandits and that their escort was in on it as well even though Croaker told him not interfer Menma couldn't and taking his weights off went in to defend the merchents which ended quickly with his speed being hard to see comingand blows too strong to defend after taking down the last bandit and checking in on the merchents who were in shock at what they just say but Menma was in more shock after seeing two of the bandits being impaled on tree branches and three more who died from impacting either in the trees or the nearby builders too hard killing them instantly with the rest were alive but unconcious before Menma could break down from his first kill Croaker came out saying Sand Shinobi were on there way and that they had to run now Croaker even had to slap Menma to get him back to his senses.
Just before the merchents could ask him who he was Menma and Croaker left quickly five minutes later Sand Shinobi arrived and looked around and asked the merchents what happened which they told them everything from the escorts betraying them to the bandits to a small boy with dark red hair taking them out in less than a minute and that he had a toad with them and before they could ask his name just left the sand shinobi were skepitcal of this but found evidence from fist impacts on the bandits and footprints which were too small for anyone there as well as large Toad footprints as well came to a similar conculsion that someone small possible the size of a child and from the descriptions of the Toad was a summons took out the bandits very quickly and left the same, the lead shinobi deciding to priorities the merchents first and Suna was in need of supplies and report what the merchents saw along with what they found as well.
It's been nearly 3 weeks since the incident with bandits happened and Menma was having trouble eating and sleeping ever time he could he would remember what he did and see blood on his hands Croaker seeing this did everything he could to bring his student out of it, telling him he saved those people and that out here it was tough and though killing was hard it was necessary to survival and that he did nothing wrong, but nothing worked so disappered to Mount Myoboko to ask for help explaining what heappened to Menma to the Elders and the Toad Chief who decided to bring in Jiraiya after ten minutes later Jiraiya summoned himself to the Toads Mountain saying that they were interrupting his research and why he was summoned the Elders explained what happened to Menma Jiraiya hearing this knew what to do and asked Croaker to bring him to Menma Croaker nodded and summoned himself to Menma.
Minute later Jiraiya appeared infront of Menma who was looking at his hands with disgust at what he did Jiraiya seeing this knew what the kid was going the same thing as his father did and knew what to do and sat down beside Menma holding him and telling him to let it out Menma hearing cried slowly but Jiraiya again told him to let it out and so Menma cried letting it all asking Jiraiya if he was a monster, Jiraiya hearing this told him he wasn't monster because monster show no remorse and take pleasure in killing people which Menma wasn't or he wouldn't be crying now hearing this Menma continued crying for another 10 minutes before he fell asleeping.
Jiraiya decided to stay with Menma and Croaker for a week before he went to Konoha to explain to his family what happened to him, during the week Menma slowly came back to his happy self and came to peace with he did reasoning that Croaker was right and that if he would kill again it would be to save lives hearing this Croaker became proud of his student for passing the toughest milestone anyone would have to do in the wilds which was to take a life, Jiraiya came back to Konoha and went to the Hokage Office where Minato told Jiraiya that Kushina just gave birth to his second daughter who they decided to name her 'Mito' hearing this Jiraiya said his congrats before turning serious and explaining to Minato about Menma first kill which shocked him but also confirmed the reports they got from Suna about the bandit attacks on one of the merchents and how a small child with dark red hair and a toad summons saving them Minato thinking this would lead to an international incident with Suna instead he recieved a thank you from them.
Jiraiya further explained what Menma went through after the killing which was how Minato went through as well but that Jiraiya helped him through it brought joy to Minato just before Jiraiya could jump through the window Minato dropped the bombshell that Tsunade was pregnant hearing this Jiraiya fell threw the window and landed on the ground with his body instead of his feet but immediately recovered and went to find Tsunade at her home on paternity leave who gave a Jiraiya a mean scowl which meant that he was going to get a beating for it.
Jiraiya stood there waiting for it to happen with his eyes closed but instead found a kiss instead and Tsunade smiling while rubbing her very pregnant stomach saying she was to be a mother and will always love him for not only being there for her but for making this happen Jiraiya hearing this decided to ask her to marry him but that he will Jiraiya Senju as he was an orphan and doesn't know his family name though he thought he was related to the second Hokage but after medical testing improved over the years this ruled it out Tsunade hearing his request and decision to become part of the Senju Clan said yes but only after there baby was born which made Jiraiya happy.
While this was happening Minato returned home seeing his wife holding Mito close to and Naruto and Nasumi doing their homework took a deep breath and told them what happened to Menma and Jiraiya helped him through it hearing this Kushina allowed some tears to come out saying how her son should be at home safe and sound Minato came over to comfort his wife while Naruto and Nasumi hoped they would never have to kill in there future careers but the Foxes inside them told them it was inevitable and that they be ready when it happens as they younger brother is already ahead of them because of it even though they years more training than they did.
It's been a month since Menma recovered both he and Croaker deciding to move to another country to avoid the Sand and River shinobi thats been tailing for the past few days Croaker decided that the Land of Green would be a good place to as it's a farming country that would provide Menma with not only with some training but some social interraction has Menma has been on his own with only Croaker and Jiraiya, Menma hearing this and agreeing with this decided to wait for nightfall to fly there and hopeful to get a job even though he lived nearly a year in the wilds it would be good just to get a hot bath and some new clothes which Croaker had to agree it was something he definitely needed and that it will get the shinobi who were chasing them off there backs with this Menma wrote a letter to inform his family on where he was going next and Croaker delivery it for him but not before Croaker gave him a route to follow when he's gone to get ahead start on their trip, with Croaker gone and nightfall coming down Menma was ready to go and hearing severly steps behind him.
"HALT STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING TURN AROUND AND IDENTIFY YOURSELF NOW"
A mysterious voice yelling behind him Menma thinking on what to do came with a plan to get out of this sitution and turned around.
"Who am I you ask... who are you to ask?"
Menma responded which brought the shinobi in front of the group some confusion as they were finally able to see who they tracking all this time.
"We're Sand shinobi kid here to investigate an incident involving merchents and bandits and from the descriptions we were told you match up... so I ask again who are you kid"
Menma for a moment on how respond to this. "Me you ask oh I'm just a... Saiyan with a skill in Martial arts that's all"
Before the Shinobi could respond or move closer Menma placed his finger on his head seeing this the Shinobi were confused by this as there wasn't a jutsu or skill that involves placing fingers on your head before they could ask what he was doing Menma just said one thing.
"SOLAR FLARE"
Creating a very powerful flash of light from his body blinding everyone there seeing this Menma powered up and flew away before anyone could see what was happening.
"DAMMIT WHAT THE WAS THAT"
"I DON'T KNOW NEVER SEEN THAT JUTSU BEFORE BUT IT'S EFFECTIVE I GIVE HIM THAT"
The Sand Shinobi yelling at each over for moment before their vision came back "Where the did he go everyone spread out find him now"
Everyone nodding vanished while the Commanding shinobi remained after five minutes everyone returned.
"Can't find anything only where he was standing after whatever Jutsu he used to blind us and nothing after that could be some teleporting but I nevered heard of one doing something like that sir"
"We'll keep looking around the area for anything and then we head home and report what we found"
"Sir what do we report that some kid got the drop on us and left without leaving any trace you do realise what sounds like"
"I know what it sounds like, it sounds like our target had some training and an unknown Jutsu thats very effective for a distraction and we have a name"
"We do sir... what's that"
"didn't you hear him call himself a 'Saiyan' I think not only that but it most likely the Konoha knows him as they are only ones with a Toad Contract now move out"
"yes sir" everyone responded leaving the commanding Shinobi alone 'Alright Konoha what are you hiding and who is this Saiyan'.
