A/N: Here we are at the very end! I wanted to post this at the same time as the final because it's so short. Thank you for sticking with me through this story.

When Sakura was 26 going on 27, it felt like Sasuke held his breath for an entire year.

When she lived to be 27, 28, 29, 30...he couldn't believe his good fortune. When they finally had a child together, he cried.

He never missed a chance to say hello or goodbye or I'm sorry. His most commonly said words had become thank you and I love you.

Sasuke used to think that what they had was a once-in-a-lifetime love, but eventually he realized their love was everlasting. Even though he lost her once, he considered himself lucky to have had her at all, let alone get a second chance.

At the end of his long life, Sakura and their daughter were right next to him. He whispered, "I'm sorry we didn't have more time."

Sakura shook her head, letting the tears fall because she didn't want to let go of his hand. "Everyday with you has been a gift. In every life, I know we'll always be connected. Thank you, Sasuke." She wanted to thank him endlessly: for being her husband, for being the father of their daughter, for waiting for her, for loving her, for just being Sasuke, but the sands of time were counting down and even without saying it, he knew what she meant.

He didn't want his final words to be another apology. He gave his little family the smile he only ever showed them—the last one.

"I'll see you soon. Thank you."

A/N: So I totally cried writing parts of this, as short as it is...I felt like it was stronger when it was shorter so I'm sorry it's not a real chapter, but I think it's for the best!
