Sorry for the wait! Shout out to the person who recommended my fic on a post in a Dramione Group. I cried, like legit. I'm thrilled that I'm slowly making a name! Enjoy! I'll work on more after therapy!
"So, where does the story of you dying your hair begin?" Luna first asked.
"It began after my sentencing. I was at a loss. I burned all my clothes, left the manor in the middle of the night, and travelled to Russia on an aeroplane like a muggle. There, I searched for my cousin who lives in Moscow. When I found him, I learned he was a muggle and wizard tattoo artist. He took me on as an apprentice for a year, where I threw myself into my studies. My hair went blue when I was standing in front of a mirror staring at myself. My hair was as long as my father's, and I didn't want that anymore. So I chopped it all off with a pair of kitchen scissors, went to the store and bought blue hair dye. I don't know why I went with blue, but I did."
"So how long were you in Russia?" Luna asked next.
"About a year and a half. I worked at his parlour for about six months, maintaining my hair of course, harnessing my skills, and then I came back to the UK, opened shop in muggle London, and here I am, an acclaimed rising muggle tattoo artist."
"Wow, that's quite the transformation. Is it because you wanted a new start?"
"Completely. I never really wanted to return to the muggle world, but sometimes fate changes things." Draco looked over at Hermione and gave her a small smile.
"And that fate being Ms. Hermione Granger?"
"Yes."
"How did you two stumble onto each other?"
"Hermione wandered in one day, wanted a cover up of her scar, and I'm fairly well versed in cursed scars. Obviously I recognized her immediately, she didn't recognize me at first. I think it was when I smirked at her when we were at a muggle bar together. She figured me out. I guess my disguise wasn't as fool proof as I thought it would be."
"And how did your, uh, courtship, I guess is the best word, begin?"
"With me remembering how beautiful she was, and how I felt nothing but guilt, and then, she forgave me, even though I didn't and still don't deserve it."
Hermione gave an "awwww."
Draco blushed.
Luna smiled, "So, there is romance between you. Not just some one time thing."
"Absolutely not a one time thing. Hermione is spectacular. She's everything I didn't even know that I needed."
"I'm assuming this isn't how you wanted your identity to be revealed. How were you planning it?"
"First, by seeing my mother for the first time in years. I figured I'd accidentally send her into an early grave with my hair, but she would rise back up to chide me." Draco joked. "Then, I'd do a tell all with the Daily Prophet. But they blew their shot by sending some reporter after us to go snooping. They followed Hermione all day until she got to me, snapped her picture, and then darted away. Bloody shady in my opinion. Not the proper way to get a story. Now, my poor mother is going to see my hair in the paper, and possibly faint from shock. I hope the reporters at the Prophet are happy with themselves. We just about had a breach of the statute of secrecy outside the shop. Too many spectators in wizarding clothes. Potter had to tell them to leave."
"Well that's frightening. What's your next move?"
"I'm going to keep on keeping on honestly. I don't plan on moving, this is my home, I've made a good life for myself. I've got a good woman on my side, if she'll still have me that is."
"In this reporter's opinion, I think she will. Are you going to return to the wizarding world?"
"Seeing how it's an untapped market for inking magical tattoos, I most likely will return lightly. Don't expect to see me on Diagon Alley everyday, but you will see me with Granger around the area. She's important to me, and I want to support her in every way."
Hermione smiled at him. Ginny found her hand and gave it a squeeze.
Luna then turned to Hermione, "Is there anything you'd like to add Hermione?"
"Just that I feel violated by the Prophet. They stalked me, left me paranoid that a Death Eater was after me, and exposed my personal life. I am a savior of this world, and they treat me like this? I value my privacy, having lived such a high profile life. I am disgusted by them. As for Draco, I'm so happy to have him in my life, I've felt nothing but bliss since he came back into my life."
"Well, I think I've got every thing I need! Our next publication is in three days, but I might move it up to tomorrow. This'll make front cover. Time is of the essence!" Luna chirped as she stood.
"Thank you Luna." Draco said, "Sorry for being an ass in school."
Luna shrugged, "You've changed since then, so you are forgiven."
With that, she left through the door and they heard a pop outside.
Ginny and Harry made their leave a few minutes later, and Hermione was left alone with Draco, where they both knew a serious conversation was about to occur.
As always, review, favorite, and follow along!
