Obsidian is cooking while Mona is giving Blake a tour of the fortress. The skill books from the previous quest he did gave him the Skills Blink Strike and Heal, Blink strike being a cheaper Teleport/Attack combo that dealt extra damage than what he has been doing, and Heal being a healing skill. He has also finally decided to look into the class system of his ability, and he's genuinely surprised as to how it even works.
-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-
Classes
All classes have some sort of benefit to them. Some classes give automatic levels to skills on every level up, some give new skills at certain levels, most classes give some sort of increase in stat growth. Starting classes all have increased stat growth percentage, allowing stats to grow faster by doing actions related to them. Basic classes, when they do increase a stat, increase 2 stats related to the class by 2 points every level. Advanced classes increase 2 stats by 3 or 3 stats by 2. Master Classes raise 3 stats by 3 or 2 stats by 4.
Starter Classes, even if their name places them so, are not counted as either Martial, Mage, or Expert Classes. Classing up from Starter to Base can go in any direction, but from there, you'll have to follow the Base→Advance→Master progression of the class you choose. You stop leveling every 20 levels, and don't gain levels again until you class up. All experienced gained before class up is applied after class up.
-_-_-_-/\-_-_-_-
"So, I guess I should get to grinding my stats before I have to class up." He mutters to himself as he keeps cooking.
"So, you've finally decided to take a look at the Class system?" He hears Mona exclaim from behind him, almost causing him to scatter the food he's making around the room.
"Yeah, I did. And I'm now curious as to what classing up entails. Is it like Fire Emblem Awakening or Fates where I need to use a specific Item to class up, or is it specific conditions?" He asks as he looks behind him at Mona and Blake, Blake sitting down at a table.
"That would be telling. Also, don't bother trying to look at the specifics of what your current class does, I want you to be surprised." She grins mischievously as she says her line, sitting directly in front of Blake.
Obsidian shakes his head and goes back to cooking. "You know, I'm actually surprised I haven't acquired a cooking skill with how much I've been cooking."
"Why would you need a skill for things you already know how to do amazingly well?" Was Mona's smart ass reply.
He shakes his head again, chuckling, as he finishes up his cooking and starts serving it out. Blake starts eating a bit cautiously as Mona starts tearing into the food. Seeing that Mona isn't worrying and how good the food is, Blake follows her lead.
Obsidian sits down with his own food and starts eating, content with a smaller meal than the other two as he plans out his plan for raising his stats.
"Okay, physical training will help me a lot with my physical stats of STR, END, AGI, and RES. INT can be easily raised just by studying, WIS can, just as easily, be raised by making wise choices, LUK literally only goes up if RNG is on my side, will likely goes up while doing WIS training. Leaves CHA. Maybe I can raise CHA by doing stuff CHA could help for, so Socializing, and maybe being entertaining to people."
-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-
By making a viable plan of action to raise stats, your WIS goes up by 3.
-_-_-_-/\-_-_-_-
"Right. I know what I'm going to be doing before I officially apply to Beacon. My goal is to get all of my stats to at least 50 before reaching level 20 and classing up, then get five levels in that class. Should be decent, right?"
Mona nods as she eats. "Yep. Though, at that point I'd like for you to focus on raising specific stats, specialize more."
"I'll make sure to do that. I'll try and raise all stats by 25 before reaching level 20, any missing points by then will be supplemented by my level up stat points." He starts muttering his plan to himself as he eats, much to the amusement of Mona and Blake.
The rest of their meal is filled with all three of them talking about random stuff, keeping their conversation away from topics such as the Schnee Dust Company or the White Fang. Obsidian's and Mona's decisions to stay off such topics help make Blake more comfortable around them.
After the meal, Obsidian takes the dishes to the sink and rinses them off. "Mona, can you and Blake head to a book store and get as many non skill books as you can?"
"Sure. What will you be doing?" Mona responds stretching.
He smiles slightly and starts heading to the Gaming Room of the Fortress. "WIS and LUK training. Fire Emblem, XCOM, and MTG Arena should help me train those two stats, because of the Strategy and RNG of them."
He disappears into the Game Room with Mona starting to get ready to head out for a shopping trip.
"What are those three games Obsidian mentioned?" She thinks to herself as she also starts getting ready to head out, taking a bit of the spare ribbon she has in case the one she has on her weapon breaks and uses it to make a bow to hide her ears, with Mona watching her amused.
"You don't need to do that, you know?" Mona says kindly to Blake.
Blake nods but doesn't take her new bow off. "I know. I want to though. It, it comforts me to do this whenever I'm going to be walking through a town."
Mona nods, accepting her reasoning, before grabbing her hand, a blush coming across Blake's face at the action, and creating a portal. "Let's go," she exclaims and cheerily skips through the portal, Blake being pulled along with a shocked look at the actions she is doing.
Blake follows the cheerful Admin, easily confused as to the change in her mood as they walk trough to streets of the City of Vale. One thing that comes to Blake's mind causes her to Blush a bit more than she already is.
"Is, is she doing this to make people think that we're together?"
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Back at the Fortress, Obsidian is starting up Fire Emblem Awakening on Lunatic Classic. "If anything can help raise my WIS and LUK, it would be playing this game on the hardest difficulty setup." He smiles to himself as he goes with a slightly altered look to the Avatar, Robin. Dark, spiky hair. If he could, he would also place a scar on his face, but he can't do that in Awakening.
"Now, lets start the game." He starts up the game. As he gets into the game, he notices that Mona took the liberty to make the game have more cut scenes and voice acting when she transferred it over between worlds, understandable because she actually made it into a full PC game.
For the next few hours, Obsidian plays the game, being very meticulous about how he moves the units, trying to keep them all alive. The game seems to be quickly increasing his WIS, and his LUK is increasing, but much slower. He gets so into the game that he doesn't notice any notifications from his ability.
"Okay, move Chrom here, Pair Robin and Lucina and move them over here." He mutters to himself as he keeps playing, completely forgetting why he originally started playing and is now playing to finish the game.
Blake and Mona walk into the Game Room as he's still playing and sit down to watch what he's doing, having finished their shopping for the day. Mona is able to recognize the difficulty right away, and Blake gets a general idea as to how difficult it is by how the combat is.
After the current stage/chapter of the game, he saves the game and stops playing it for the moment, looking at the two once he realizes they're there. "Hello you two. How was shopping?"
"It was good. Lunatic difficulty?" Mona responds.
"Yep. Lunatic and Classic. Have to be extra careful, and it seemed to have worked to raise my stats a bit. I'm also attempting to do it in such a way that I lose no one and I not save scum in the process."
Mona nods a bit, smiling, while Blake takes in the information, looking at the screen.

"Hmm, decent, very decent. I think a few more days should do it for those two stats." He says to himself and he relaxes in his seat. "You can play something, if you'd like, Blake."
"I'll think about it." Was Blake's response after a few seconds. From there Obsidian stands up to stretch, as he's been in the same position for a few hours. His joints defiantly pop as he does so.
"Ah, much better. Was getting stiff." He says, sighing in relief as Blake and Mona stare at him. "Tomorrow I'm going to start on my physical training, and the day after work on INT training. I think I'll do Videos for CHA training in a few weeks. Want to get everything else done with before then."
Mona giggles a bit, setting up a different game for both her and Blake to play, Obsidian sitting down to watch them play. Mona decided to go for a Lego game for her and Blake to play.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
The next few months has Obsidian doing various things somewhat related to what his stats are. Whenever he trained STR, AGI, and RES, he ended up also training END. Finding a YouTube like website that all Gamers have access to, he decided to train WIS, CHA, and LUK all at the same time by making gaming videos of the entire Fire Emblem series, Mona having taken all the games and basically remade them into modern PC games.
The only thing that gave him trouble was INT training. It had even more diminishing returns than his other stats, and he couldn't access harder books to read and memorize because they are either reserved, for books from Remnant, or extremely expensive for him. He spent the most time grinding for INT increases. But in the end, he got all his stats at 50+ each.
"Huh, I was expecting a stat milestone skill at 50. Either I don't get any at all, or they are at different stat amounts." Is his comment after he finally realizes he got his stats to his desired amounts while resting in the gaming room. "Now to raise my level a couple times and get that class up going. Where to go though?"
"Mountain Glenn should have enough strong Grimm for you to fight." Mona says from behind him, eating a cupcake she had convinced him to make for her. "You'll just have to make sure to stay out of sight of any Huntsman that are there."
"That could work. I think 10 Beowolves and 5 Creeps should be enough. Hows the cupcakes?"
"They're delicious. If being a Hunter doesn't work out, you should definitely open up a bakery."
"That's a funny thought. The worlds potentially strongest living being, baking for a living." Obsidian chuckles at the thought. "That may be what I do after She is dealt with. If I don't get sent to another world after this. That would definitely be an interesting occurrence."
"If you get sent to another world, you'll likely lose all your current abilities. It would basically be starting a different game. Permission for New Game+ is very hard to achieve, nearly impossible."
"Ah well, doubt I'll want to even attempt a different world. This one is good enough."
Another week passes before Obsidian heads out to Mountain Glenn to do some EXP grinding. In the decaying concrete forest, Obsidian is slowly and silently walking. He has his primary weapon out and ready for melee combat. It doesn't take him long to find Grimm to fight.
The group of Grimm he finds is about 20 strong, all between levels 12 and 16. All Beowolves. He's definitely not ran into this many at once, so he'll have to be careful, and on the lookout once he's finished with the pack.
He starts combat off with a Blink strike on one of the level 16's, instantly killing it with both a Stealth kill bonus and the damage bonus from Blink strike. He activates Shadow skin just in time to cause an attack from behind him to pass straight through him and hit another Beowolf.
Turning around quickly, he first does a downward slash at the wolf that tried to hit him, then a Horizontal slash trying to hit both that same Beowolf, and the one it hit when he evaded it's attack, then an upward diagonal slash on the second Beowolf. He hit's all attacks, but doesn't kill them. He teleports away, and equips Mysterious Magnum into his offhand.
The time it takes him to recover from his attacks and equip his revolver is enough for another Level 16 to get to him and attack. In response he shoves the barrel of Mysterious Magnum into its muzzle and the blade of Shattering Volcano into it's gut. He fires into its mouth, pulling his sword to the side, cutting through it's body. It's still alive for long enough to get another attack off on Obsidian before he swaps Mysterious Magnum to Kama form and dealing the killing blow.
He looks at the rest of the pack, who have caught up and surrounded him. He grins and starts laughing. "Now, this is fun." He starts to fight the Beowolves again, not using Blink Strike at all, teleporting and using Shadow skin as his evasions and strikes. He easily tears through them thanks to both the protection from the Armor, the Energy shield, and his OP stats at the moment.
After killing all 20 Beowolves, he hears a loud howl of anger and the heavy thumping of feet charging at him. He teleports onto a building right as he would be trampled by a Beowolf the size of a Goliath. He uses observe.
-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-
Fenrir
Beowolf
Lv. 25
Wolven Child of Loki
Older, Smarter, and Stronger than the normal Beowolf Alpha, there is no current Classification for this Grimm. Can't Be Killed at current stage, but can be defeated.
-_-_-_-/\-_-_-_-
His eyes widen before emptying the rest of Mysterious Magnums cylinder into the Grimm, sending it back to his inventory, and hopping off the building and towards Fenrir. He does what he did with Adam and starts to prepare Aether.
Fenrir, looks at him with a calculating look and a grin. The area is silent as Obsidian falls towards the big wolf. A bird in the distance watching the battle. With a slight spin and a downwards slash, Obsidian hits Fenrir with the Aether, but Fenrir shrugs it off, seemingly unharmed.
Fenrir then does his own attack, to fast for Obsidian to activate any of his abilities, and completely shattering his Energy Shields, much to his surprise. Shaking off his shock, he starts going on an onslaught of Blink Strike attacks, using Shadow Skin in between each one to keep himself from taking damage.
Each strike deals his maximum damage, yet none seem to be affecting Fenrir until hes starting to run low on both AP and MP. He's panting as he looks at the large wolf. Fenrir has a smug look on it's face, even though it is covered in cuts.
Obsidian snarls and uses a Yellow Dust Vial and teleporting to maximum teleportation height he has available. "I'm taking you down no matter what." He has 1/10 of his maximum AP and MP left, and he forces it all into his blade as he starts plummeting to Fenrir.
His blade glows bright as it's crackling with electricity from the dust he used on it, and it glows more by the second as he sends all regenerated AP and MP into the blade. The electricity being generated flows through his body as well, slowly ticking his HP down as well.
The bird that was watching is frozen at the sight as Obsidian slams Shattering Volcano's blade into Fenrirs head, causing all of the Electricity, Aura, and Magic that was generated/applied to the attack to surge into Fenrir. The Backwash of the attack was enough to break Obsidian's Momentum safely, but the backwash sent him flying into a building, shattering his regenerated Energy Shields and dropping him all the way to 1 HP.
Dazed, he looks at where Fenrir is, and sees the wolf getting up from a hole in the ground and shaking. Fenrir turns and walks away, disappearing from sight. Obsidian coughs up some blood as he gets up, his armor having been forcefully doffed and sent into his inventory to make sure it didn't completely break from the impact.

"Fuck. That smarts." He mutters as he looks around and calls for Mona to bring him back up to the Fortress, which she happily does before berating him for what he did.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-\/-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Next morning, after recovering from the debuffs that were applied to him, he sees about doing what he normally does upon leveling up. He sees that hes locked in at level 20, with his excess exp showing past the max for level 20, and he notices he has a few options for class up option.

"Hmm, interesting class choices. I think I'll go for Myrmidon though." He mutters as he hits Myrmidon and classes up from Drifter to Myrmidon. In the process, gaining 10 stat points that he places into into STR and CHA.
He takes a look at Drifter to see what information there is about it, and finds out that the 10 points he got was from Classing up out of Drifter.
After that, he decided to take the next week easy, relaxing and making videos. Unknown to him is a conversation between a dusty old crow and a wizard, talking about the fight with Fenrir.
