Here's the next chapter. Hope you enjoy.
CrimsonPriest – Hello, thank you for reviewing. I'm sorry to hear you are disappointed that Lewis didn't teleport to U.A. I just thought it would make this arc way too short. However, that's not really an excuse…hmmm…let's say that he didn't want to leave his classmates behind. Also, Thirteen had a responsibility to keep the whole class together and Lewis sudden disappearance would slow progress down.
RubixJr – Thank you so much. I am glad you are enjoying it.
Djinn – Love the constant support as always.
Tehehe – Thank you. It took me at least ten minutes of wondering how an AC/DC song relates to Lewis' quirk before I looked it up and saw what you mean. I am so stupid. Thanks for reviewing.
On to the story.
Hope you enjoy:

Chapter 8: Attack of the Villains Part 2
The villains charged at the two students, preparing their attacks.
Lewis briefly looked around the tops of the buildings, making sure he could disappear. The wind and the rain would obviously obscure the villains' sight of him, but he would need to time this right.
However, there was no need.
"Dark Shadow!" Fumikage cried out from behind him, making Lewis jump a little.
He was about to turn around when a shadow-like creature with an avian head and claws swooped in front of and shield him from the villain's view. Not looking a gift horse (or shadow bird in this instance) in the mouth, Lewis ducked down and disappeared.
Lewis looked down from a building at where he once stood. He had a better look at the shadow creature and saw it had come from under Fumikage's cloak.
He instantly remembered seeing Fumikage use the creature during the Battle Trials.
Dark Shadow: allows him to manifest a sentient shadow monster from his body that he can materialize and contract freely.
'That's pretty cool,' Lewis thought as he watched Dark Shadow swipe at the villains.
However, he saw that Fumikage was struggling to control Dark Shadow and decided it was time to step in.
"Hey, where did the other one go!" shouted one of the villains as he looked around the area trying to find the other student.
"Right here!" Lewis shouted, appearing behind the villain, and kicking him sharply in the tailbone.
The villain's knees buckled in pain and fell over at the hit. Lewis stood atop the fallen villain and whistled at the other villains. They turned to see the boy with twisted smile mask and goggles give a small wave.
"Are looking for me?" he called out cheerily much to the villain's annoyance.
A villainess with black greasy hair opened her mouth and shot small spikes at him. Lewis just black flipped out of the way and laughed.
"Is that really all you got?" he mocked and started to run away from the group.
"Forget the bird, after him!" a large villain with six muscular arms shouted.
He and ten other villains followed after Lewis much to the skull-headed villain's displeasure.
"Stop! What are you doing! He just separate-" he began to shout but stopped when he had to avoid a swipe from Dark Shadow.
'Be careful Fleetwood,' Fumikage thought in concern as he dodged a green beam of light from another villain.
Lewis was currently looking down on the entire city. Not from the roof of a building but hanging on one of the girders that dome was made of. He was above the sprinklers and the fans that created the rainy weather inside the dome, so he had a better view of the entire site
He had managed to lead all the villains chasing him down separate ways, making sure they were confused and lost.
Now all he had to do was strike.
He felt the familiar adrenaline causing through his veins and his mind start to drift away. However, he took a couple of breaths making sure he was focused and let himself fall towards the ground.
Once he picked up enough speed, he disappeared.
He hit the first villain, the one with six arms, at the back of knees. Hitting his upper body would do nothing so his legs are a better bet. The villain fell to his knees in shock and sharp right hook to his jaw made sure he'd stay down.
He moved onto the greasy haired woman who he punched in the kidneys, making sure he was gentle as he didn't want to cause too much damage. Once she was distracted and her eyes shut tight in pain, Lewis kneed her under the jaw, knocking her out.
He continued to attack the other villains that came after him. Using speed and sudden attacks he hit the villains in areas that would cause the most amount of pain.
After kicking the villain with eyes in the palms of his hands in the Solar plexus, disappearing and sending another kick to the back of the head, Lewis had taken out all ten of the villains. His mind was still fuzzy, and his blood was pumping very fast, but he didn't feel sick or anything.
In fact, he felt great, like he could take on the world.
Lewis giggled, "Now to deal with that skull head," he chuckled before disappearing.
Fumikage and Dark Shadow stood off against the skull headed villain. Dark Shadow had taken down all the other villains but left this one for some reason.
"What are you waiting for? You scared or something?" the villain mocked.
"No," Fumikage simply said, "my classmate had already claimed you as his prey"
"Pre-" the skull headed villain began to question before a sharp kick to the back of his skull knocked him out.
Lewis stood triumphantly over the fallen villains, chuckling at their victory. Fumikage called back Dark Shadow and looked at Lewis curiously.
"For someone who dares not to pursuit a life of violence, you are willing to indulge yourself to it," Fumikage remarked as he walked over to him.
"What can I say," Lewis cheerily said, "I guess I'm jus-"
Lewis collapsed onto his knees, gasping for breath. Fumikage rushed over and made him sit down on the ground.
"Fleetwood, are you well?" Fumikage asked in worry.
"Sorry," Lewis gasped, "I never used my quirk this much in a short period of time. I should be alright in a moment," he reassured his classmate.
Fumikage decided it was good to stay out in the rain. He ordered Dark Shadow to take him into one of the fake houses. It wasn't perfect conditions, but at least they were out of the downpour.
It took Lewis a couple of minutes for his head to stop spinning. He managed to sit up and look at Fumikage who was keeping watch outside of the window.
"Sorry about that," Lewis said catching his classmates' attention, "I need to get better at controlling my quirk. I felt myself become more and more unstable. I could have hurt somebody badly," he told him sadly as he looked down on the concrete floor guiltily.
Fumikage frowned at Lewis. It was clear that he regretted hurting the villains.
The bird-headed boy turned to him, "Dark Shadow is useful," he said, making Lewis look up at him, "but it becomes more powerful and harder to control in darker places. If I am not careful, Dark Shadow can become destructive and potentially lethal. It took me a while to master it and I am sure you will too with your quirk, Fleetwood. You only need more training and practise."
Lewis sensed the sincerity in his words as he reassured him.
He smiled, "Thanks, Fumikage."
Fumikage nodded, "It is quite alright."
"Wait a moment," Lewis said in realisation, standing shakily to his feet, "if your quirk becomes more powerful in darker settings then why did the Black Mist send you here?"
Fumikage frowned thoughtfully, "That is correct. It may be possible that the villains may not know our quirks. If that's the case, then we have the upper hand."
"Either that or they have something up their sleeves that they haven't used yet," Lewis added, "in any case, it might be best to meet up with Thirteen at the entrance. Then we can figure out the situation."
Fumikage nodded, "The exit to the zone is not far. Do you think you can use your quirk once we are outside?"
"Possibly. Let's go," Lewis said.
The two students left the false building and made to the exit.
"May I as why your mask is designed that way," Fumikage asked curiously.
"It was an accident, but for some reason I like it," Lewis answered.
"The void smiles sinisterly, beckoning mortals into its cold grasp," Fumikage muttered darkly.
Lewis sweat dropped, "…what?"
USJ Entrance
Lewis and Fumikage had managed to leave the Downpour Zone and sneak towards the exit. The sight that greeted them was a relief and tragic. Relief that some of their classmates including Ochako, Sato, Ashido, Sero and Shouji, a tall, muscular boy with grey hair and multiple arms, were still well. However, tragedy when they saw that Thirteen was injured and their hero suit was ripped open at the back.
The two ran up to them. Lewis, now that he knows where he is, flicked his hand and a First Aid Kit appeared.
"Alright everyone, stand back," he called out rushing to Thirteen's side.
"Fleetwood! Fumikage!" Sero cried out in surprise.
"Thank goodness you two are alright," Ochako added, stepping back to give Lewis some room.
Lewis zipped open the First Aid Kit and began to treat Thirteen's injuries. They didn't look too bad, but they were serious enough to knock the hero unconscious.
"What happened?" Lewis hastily asked.
Sato stepped forward, "Thirteen attempted to use their quirk on that mist villain, but he just opened up a portal behind them and use it against them."
"Will Thirteen be alright?" Ashido asked worriedly.
"I believe so. They don't seem to be life threatening at the moment, but they going to need more than First Aid," Lewis reassured her.
"Where is the mist villain?" Fumikage asked.
"We don't know," Shouji answered through a mouth on a limb, "he disappeared after we defeated him. However, Iida was sent to U.A to get the teachers. Thirteen was helping him escape."
"Right," Lewis said standing up, "we have seven people at the entrance, Iida is going to get the teachers meaning there are twelve others around USJ not including Aizawa who is still fighting the villains," he counted out loud, "I will check out the other zones and send them back to the entrance. Make sure Thirteen is in the recovery position and wait for the teachers," Lewis ordered.
"You are going in again," Ashido said in disbelief, "can't you use your quirk to go to U.A?"
Lewis shook his head, "It'll be better to leave that to Iida. We need somebody to round everybody up at the entrance and evacuate. It will be quick," Lewis reassured her.
Ashido frowned but relented.
"Fine," she said before hugging Lewis who blushed brightly at the sudden contact, "but please be careful, Neko-chan."
Lewis hesitantly hugged back reassuringly, "Don't worry. I'll be as quick as I can," he told her.
Ashido released and gave him a small smile. He stepped back, smiled back at her, and turned to look at the dome ceiling. He was about to disappear when Fumikage stopped him.
"Fleetwood, make sure you don't overuse your quirk," he warned, "take adequate breaks before disappearing."
"I will, thanks Fumikage," and in a blink of an eye Lewis had disappeared.
Top of USJ
Lewis hung from the girders at the top of the dome and look down. The USJ sprawled underneath him, and Lewis was able to get a good look at the entire place.
He saw the Ruin Zone and decided that would be a good place to start.
Ruin Zone
Bakugo had defeated the final villain with ease. Having a quirk with like his was useful for offensive attacks. The villains stood no chance.
"I think that's last of these guys," he said between heavy breathing.
"Alright, let's hurry and find the rest-" Kirishmia began to say before Bakugo fired an explosion at somebody behind him.
Luckily, Lewis was able to roll out the way in time.
"Whoa whoa! It's me!" Lewis shouted, making Bakugo growl in irritation.
"Don't sneak up behind me like that. I thought you were a villain," he snarled, earning a frown from Lewis.
"Sorry," Lewis apologised, "I'm glad I found you guys. Are you the only two here?"
Kirishma nodded with a grin, "Glad to see you too, Fleetwood and yeah we're the only ones."
Lewis nodded, "Okay, that makes eleven students. Head to the entrance, we are going to rendezvous there and get out," he ordered.
"No way," Bakugo growled darkly, making the other two look at him oddly.
"What do you mean?" Kirishmia asked, "we need to join our class."
"You two can go, but I'm going for the mist bastard," Bakugo told them as he made his way to the door.
"Wait Bakugo," Lewis called out to him making him stop at the door, "there's no time for petty revenge. The class safety is our top priority-"
"THIS IS NOT ABOUT REVENGE, YOU STUPID GEIJIN!" Bakugo rudely interrupted, "He's the villains' way in and I bet he's their ticket out of here as well. Take him out and they'll be trapped."
"That may be so, but there's no point in taking the risk," Lewis argued firmly, "please Bakugo."
Bakugo, however, only tsked.
"Always acting nervous like scared puppy. When did you grow a pair?" he mocked angrily.
Lewis responded by sending a left hook behind him at what seemed to be open air. However, a pained grunt, followed by a villain, that looked like a chameleon, reappearing, and dropping unconsciously to the floor confirmed that it was in fact not just air. Lewis noticed the odd shift of movement in the corner of the room earlier but waited for the villain to approach before doing anything.
Lewis glanced at the unconscious villain before turning back to Bakugo.
"I grow a pair when I need to. Like when people's lives are in danger," Lewis coolly answered.
Bakugo tsked again and left the through the door.
"Aren't you going to stop him?" Kirishima asked Lewis worriedly.
Lewis sighed, "I don't have time. I need to find the others," he turned to red haired boy, "I can't force you, but please head to the entrance or at least keep Bakugo from killing himself," he begged.
Kirishmia grinned and gave him a thumb's up, "Will do."
Lewis didn't stick around to explain which option he was going for.
Top of USJ
Lewis felt the familiarity of hanging from the girders again. He was beginning to feel dizzy again but took a couple of deep breaths.
Looking down, he could see a few people at the Mountain Zone.
His next destination.
Mountain Zone
Jiro gritted her teeth in frustration as her plan was foiled. Using a combination of her quirk:
Earphone Jack: she has a pair of headphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. She can channel the sound of her heartbeat through them in the form of a violent vibration attack.
Momo's quirk:
Creation: gives her the ability to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin
And Kaminari's quirk:
Electrification: allows him to generate electricity and cover his body in it.
They had managed to defeat the team of villain's surrounding them. However, they didn't spot the one villain unaffected by Kaminari's electrical attack and now had him as a hostage. Jiro tried to distract the villain long enough for her to send an attack at him, but he caught her.
"Big mistake, sweetheart," the villain mocked, "I'm not some dumb thug who could be outsmarted by a couple of kid-"
The villain was cut of as Lewis suddenly appeared and sent a flying kick to his head. The villain was instantly knocked out and Kaminari was free.
"Not some dumb thug, huh" Lewis smirked under his mask, "you sure fall like one," he chuckled slightly before catching himself.
Momo and Jiro blinked a couple of times, not expecting for him to appear. They walked over as Lewis sat Kaminari on the ground and checked if he was alright.
Lewis hummed as he examined Kamirai's dazed face.
"I think he may be in shock from being the hostage," Lewis muttered.
"Actually, he was like that before he was a hostage," Jiro corrected.
Lewis looked up at them, "Oh… I see. You two are not hurt, are you?" he asked in concern.
They both shook their heads.
"We're fine, just a little shaken up," Momo answered with a relieved smile.
"Glad to see you are alright," Jiro added as Lewis stood up to face them.
"Are you the only ones here?" Lewis inquired.
"As far we know, yeah. Where's everybody?" Jiro asked.
Lewis pointed towards the entrance, "There are six at the entrance with Thirteen, Iida is making his way to the main campus, Bakugo and Kirishima…they are somewhere and with you three here that means eight people are unaccounted for. You three make your way to the entrance and I'll find the others."
"Right," Jiro agreed with a sharp nod of her head.
"Be careful, Fleetwood," Momo said with concern.
"I will," Lewis promised.
Momo and Jiro blinked, and he had disappeared.
Jiro sighed as he stared at the dopey grin of Kaminari.
"He couldn't of help us move this idiot first," Jiro mumbled in complaint.
Karminari gave a confused giggle in reply.
Conflagration Zone
It was much harder for Lewis to get in this zone since, like the Downpour Zone, it was a sealed dome. As soon as Lewis had gone through the entrance, the heat hit him like a ton of bricks. He had to catch his breath for a couple of seconds before venturing further in.
"Hey!" an angry voice cried out.
Lewis spun around to see a burly looking villain running towards him. He was about get ready to fight when Ojiro Mashirao, a fellow student with blonde hair, a plain looking face and a large tail, swooped in. He used his tail to whack away the villain sending him into the side of dome.
"Fleetwood, are you alright?" Ojiro asked as he rushed over.
"I'm fine. I'm telling everybody to go the entrance where we will rendezvous with the rest of the class. Are you the only one here?"
Ojiro nodded, "Yeah, but I saw Aoyama earlier. I'll find him and we'll head straight to the entrance."
Lewis smiled behind his mask, "Good, thank you. That makes…two more…" he began mumbling under his breath, counting how many classmates he had seen and where they are, "that makes six more people."
"Alright, good luck," Ojiro wished as he headed to the exit.
Lewis wiped his brow and zipped down his PE Kit.
He never liked hot places.
Top of USJ
Lewis managed to get out of there and sighed in relief as he felt the cold air on his skin.
'That was terrible. I was only in there for a couple of minutes," he muttered to himself.
He looked around the USJ again and spotted the Land Slide Zone. Well, what was left of the Land Slide Zone as the entire place was covered in a sheet of ice.
Lewis instantly knew who the cause of it was.
Land Slide Zone
Lewis almost slipped over as appeared on the ground. He saw villains frozen within the ice, completely incapacitated.
He looked around and spotted Todoroki walking some distance away from him. On closer inspection, he could see a pair of floating gloves that indicated that Hagakure was also there.
"Hey!" Lewis cried out, doing his best to run over to them.
Todoroki gave him an irritated look when she saw him approach.
"What do want?" she asked coldly.
"I'm gathering everybody at the entrance," Lewis told her, "Are you two alright?"
Todoroki rolled her eyes, "I'm the only one here," she replied as if she was talking to a stupid person.
"Ummm Todoroki, I'm here," Hagakure informed waving her gloved hand.
Todoroki acknowledged the other girl's presence and hummed, "When did you get here?" the stoic girl asked curiously.
"I was warped right with you," Hagakure huffed in annoyance, "Did you seriously not know I was here this whole time?"
"No," Todoroki plainly replied, making Hagakure sigh.
"Why am I not surprised," the invisible girl muttered under her breath before turning to Lewis "is everybody else okay?" she asked in concern.
"All good," Lewis answered, "We are meeting at the entrance. I'm looking for four more students and that would be Mirdoya, Mineta, Tsuyu and…" Lewis stopped in horror, "oh God, I'm missing somebody. One moment Ochako, Ashido, Sato, Sero, Shouji, Fumikage, Iida, Bakugo, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Karminari, Ojiro, Aoyama, Todoroki, Hagakure, Mirdoya, Mineta, Tsuyu," he muttered listing of his classmates' names, "that's only nineteen there's one person missing."
Lewis began to panic. He looked frantically around the USJ. He couldn't have forgotten someone can he?
"Who am I missing? They could be alone and in danger. I haven't seen them anywhere, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, where could they-"
"Sweetie," Hagakure interrupted his panicked ramblings, "did you count yourself?"
Lewis stopped in realisation.
"Oh," he uttered as he began to breath normally.
He looked up at the two girls. He could only assume that Hagakure was worried for him. While Todoroki gave him an unamused look.
"Sorry, panic attack over," he shakily said, "I'll go and retrieve the last three, goodbye."
He walked behind a pillar of ice and disappeared.
Hagakure looked at Todoroki in concern.
"Do you think he's alright? He seemed a little unstable," she asked, "Maybe we should have stopped him."
Todoroki shrugged in reply and continued on her way. Hagakure gave a worried glance around the USJ before following after her.
Top of U.A
Lewis needed to calm down. Adrenaline was pulsing through his veins, his head was getting fuzzy again, he couldn't think straight.
What troubled Lewis the most, however, was the subtle urge for violence.
'What is wrong with me? I had never wanted to beat people up. Even if they were villains who trespassed on to U.A grounds to try and kill my classmates. They have the audacity to ruin what would have been a great day of demonstrating my skills as a rescue hero, but no they had to come in here and wreck everything for me. HOW DARE THEY DO THAT! I HAVE TO TEACH THESE FUCKING BASTARDS WHY YOU-"
Lewis stopped himself.
Making sure to keep a steady breath.
'Okay, from now on, I'm only going to use my quirk for emergency uses only,' he told himself, 'I need to find the others and walk back to the entrance. I will work out what that was later.'
Lewis was scared. More scared than the villains attacking now.
That had never happened before.
Taking one more deep breath, he disappeared.
Near the Centre Plaza
Lewis looked from afar at the situation in horror. The weird bird-looking thing had defeated Aizawa, having the teacher pinned down to the ground. It was clear that he had sustained serious injuries during his fight. The skinny man with the hands attached to him and the Black Mist were near Aizawa, but they were too far away to hear what they are saying. He did see the man with the hands scratch his neck in irritation.
Obviously, things have not gone to plan for him.
Lewis looked towards the edge of the Water Zone, seeing Midorya, Tsuyu and Mineta observing the scene with concerned looks on their faces.
'I need to get the out of there,' Lewis thought, 'maybe I can appear in the water next to-'
It all happened in slow motion. He saw the man with the hands rush towards the trio, hand outstretched and aimed at Tsuyu.
Lewis had a sinking feeling that she would die if he didn't do anything.
It took little to convince him to use his quirk.
Shigaraki Tomura had only a couple of centimetres to go before he could make contact and kill the frog girl when he felt something hard smash into his face. He was knocked back and the hand that covered his face flew off the reveal his crusty eyes.
The Black Mist jumped in surprise of the sudden arrival of Lewis and even more shocked that he had injured his master.
"Master Shigaraki!" the Black Mist shouted, looking at the boy who was kneeling on the ground.
Shigaraki sat up and gave the masked student a hate-filled glare.
"Where did you come from?" he snarled at Lewis.
Lewis chuckled, "I have always been here. Couldn't you see me?" he mocked.
Lewis began to feel his mind become clouded. The words just slipped out of his mouth.
"Fleetwood," Midoyia called out, "what are you doing. You need to get out."
Lewis ignored him. He didn't want to. He just felt compelled to stand off against the hand villain.
"Fleetwood," Shigaraki hummed as he picked up the hand off the floor and placed it on his face, "I remember you. You're that foreigner that saw me this morning. You should have taken that as an omen."
"Fleetwood! Leave now! You can't fight h-" Aizawa tried to shout at him, but the monster just smashed his face into the ground.
Lewis growled at the sight, "Let him go now," he darkly ordered.
"Or what," Shigaraki replied, "Nomu, kill him."
The creature known as Nomu released Aizawa and rushed at breakneck speed at Lewis. However, he anticipated this and jumped out of the way.
Strangely enough, he could feel his quirk working. He knew they can't be looking as the Nomu blocked everybody's sight of him. However, the Nomu still maintained his beady eyes of Lewis.
'How can I use my quirk when it is looking at me?' Lewis thought, 'No living creature can-'
It dawned on him.
This thing, the Nomu, it wasn't alive.
Sadly, that was his last thought as the Nomu rushed him again, aiming a large fist at Lewis. He had no choice but to use his quirk to get away.
That was when something in his mind snapped.
His brain had become too fuzzy, he couldn't think, his blood was rushing around his body rapidly.
As Lewis' brain began to shut down, his vision began to blur and his ears began to ring, he had only one last thought.
'I've used my quirk too much.'
Lewis blacked out.
He felt no pain or anything at all.
It was like being underwater, but there was no fear of suffocation.
That's because he didn't need to breathe, or see, or hear or do anything.
He just floated in vast expanses.
Just existing.
….
….
….
….
No hold on.
What is that?
He felt something in his legs. Something was not right with them. They seemed to be…wrong.
He looked down at them. Well, he tried to look down at them. Darkness was the only thing that greeted him.
He began to focus on the feeling, trying to figure out what is wrong with them.
That's when he finally saw something.
A white dot in a sea of darkness.
He swam towards, moving what he thought his limbs were towards it.
As the white dot got bigger and bigger, the feeling in his legs became clearer. He had to stop using them to swim as the feeling was replaced by a sharp pain getting worse and worse.
The white dot was in touching distance.
He held out a hand to it. The white became the only thing he could see, replacing the void.
He started to feel again.
Something hard leaning against his side, the pain in his legs became unbearable.
He opened his eyes.
There was no sound, but he could definitely see. See a place he definitely recognised. See a blond, muscular man kneeled on the ground in pain whilst talking to a green haired boy. See that muscular man started to give off smoke and turn into a skinny man.
Lewis raised what he assumed was his head to get a better look.
He must have made a sound as the two familiar figures turned to him.
Looked at him with shock and fear.
Lewis didn't feel like asking what they were afraid for.
He had a headache.
He closed his eyes and sunk back into the inky void.
The pain in his legs ebbed away.
It felt different this time. More conscious of his surroundings.
He saw places and people he had once seen.
He saw his first day at U.A.
He saw him moving into his new house in Japan.
He saw how lonely he was when he was growing up.
He saw him receiving the news of his parents' death.
He saw the times his parents were alive.
Was he dying? Is this what death feels like?
A flicker in the corner of his eye caught Lewis' attention. He turned and saw something for a second before it vanished it nothingness. He wasn't able to get a good view of what it was, but if Lewis had to guess…
He would say it was a person.
That's when he heard a voice whisper into his ear.
"Not now. You need to go back."
And then it disappeared. And Lewis was alone again.
What was odd, however, was not the person that he saw nor the message it whispered into his ear.
It was the fact that it all seemed…
familiar.
Lewis woke up with a gasp.
He looked around and saw he wasn't in the vast expanse anymore, but in a room. It took a couple of seconds for Lewis to realise that medical bay. U.A's medical bay.
"Fleetwood!" a voice gasped from beside him.
He turned to see that Midoriya lying on a hospital bed next to him. Midoriya seemed surprised that he woke up so suddenly, however Lewis was too preoccupied to answer him.
On account that his legs hurt like hell.
"Ahhhh!" Lewis shouted in pain, gritting his teeth in anguish.
"Now, now young one," and elderly voice assured him, "Let me sort you out."
Lewis felt a wet kiss on his left cheek and the pain his legs started to ebb away.
"They you go," Recovery Girl said as she hobbled away, "you'll start feeling better in a moment."
Now that Lewis was no longer distracted, he saw that he was on lying on a bed. His mask and googles were on the table beside him, but he was still wearing his PE kit. He turned to Midoriya.
"Is everybody okay? What happened? How long have I been asleep?"
"Whoa, Fleetwood. Calm down," Midoriya stopped his barrage of questions, "I only know a little bit of English."
Lewis didn't realise he was speaking in English.
"Sorry, what happened?" he corrected himself.
"You really don't remember?" a new voice chimed in.
Lewis leaned up from his bed to see another bed with the skinny man wrapped in bandages resting on it. It was the same person that he saw in the park. The one…
'Oh,' Lewis thought in realisation, "All Might?" he asked earning a tired sigh from the skeletal man.
"I guess you remember that part," he groaned, "yes, that's right. My real name is Yagi Toshinori and this what I really look like," he admitted sullenly waiting for the freak out.
"I see," Lewis replied.
….
….
….
….
"What, that's it!?" Yagi asked in surprise spitting a worrying amount of blood out of his mouth, "You aren't going to question why the symbol of peace looks like this!?"
"Oh sorry!" Lewis apologised, "It's just a lot has happened today like becoming vice president, the hallway crush, the USJ attack, me somehow breaking both of my legs… it's been a weird Wednesday," he anxiously explained, "finding this out is just like…yeah."
Yagi slumped into his bed in exhaustion, "I suppose you're right."
"Do you really not remember anything?" Midoriya asked in exhaustion.
Lewis shook his head, "No. The last thing I remember is facing against that…"
"Nomu," Midoriya interjected.
"Yeah, that thing. I think I overused my quirk or something because I just blacked. What happened to me?"
Midoriya frowned in concern, "Well, Fleetwood…you kind of went…berserk."
"Berserk? Oh dear, I didn't hurt anybody did I?" Lewis asked in panic.
"No, no," Midoriya reassured, "well…you did…but nobody in our class. You mainly attacked the Nomu and the other villains. You managed to get some decent hits to the Nomu's brain before it caught you and crushed your legs. That's when All Might appeared and…save the day."
"Oh," Lewis sadly said, "did anyone try to stop me?"
"We tried, but…you weren't listening at all. You kept laughing and talking rapidly in English. It was as if-"
"I had gone insane," Lewis finished miserably.
Midoriya shook his head, "Of course not…I was going to say that it was like you were a different person."
He looked towards Lewis who was staring at the ceiling with a sad look upon his face.
"Fleetwood, it wasn't your fault. You weren't in control," Midoriya tried to convince him, but he shook his head.
"It was my fault. I should have been careful about not overusing my quirk," Lewis argued, "I just wish I knew what was going on."
Midoriya looked at his upset classmate, but before he could respond, Recovery Girl came over.
"Alright, you three," she said, "you can save your conversation after you get some rest," she demanded in a tone that only experienced nurses knew to do.
The three grumbled in agreement.
Lewis thought about the signs leading up before his black out. At first, he thought it was just an adrenaline rush, but now he is convinced there's something more to it. He remembered how his mind became more out of focused and clouded as he kept on using his quirk.
Lewis realised something.
Midoriya said that it was like he became a different person. For some reason, one person sprang to mind when he told him that.
And that person was Phineas Gage.
"Recovery Girl," Lewis called out, stopping the elderly hero before she made her way out the door.
Recovery Girl turned to him with a slightly irritated look.
"What is it young'un?" she asked.
"I was wondering if you can tell me how I can get a CT Scan?"
So, you have two options. Either:
1) You can look up who Phineas Gage was.
2) Or you can wait for the next chapter where I'll tell you.
The choice is yours, readers.
Anyway, this chapter was fun to write. I never looked up where the best places to punch people before. God only knows what would happen if the somebody looks at my recent searchers. Something tells me that researching for a fanfiction will not play well in court.
If you want to know who that person in Lewis' mindscape was…then tough. I'm not going to even answer questions about it (Insert Evil Laugh).
I give you one hint: it isn't a predecessor of Lewis' quirk like Midoriya has for One For All. That would be stupid.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed it,
Thanks :)
Next time: One For All, All For One and quirk research.
