Broken heart

Chapter 8

Moments later she came out of the outhouse with no trouble at all. Gibbs had brought in everything inside the cabin and including getting the four lanterns ready.

All of a sudden she heard a noise. When she ran up to Gibbs asking him what the noise might be.

"It could be anything Loreile." he said. However, as it turned out to be a deer a big one. Leroy Jethro Gibbs grabbed his rifle to see if he can take it down with his gun and have dinner at some point of the vacation.

Pointing her to stay back to be quiet. He used the scope on his rifle to see it better for the shot or shots. Moving in slowly while Loreile stayed back to watch what he does with the animal.

It was amazing how he was using his experience from being a Marine. It was a moment later when he fired dropping the large five-pointer to the ground. "Good going, Jethro!" she cried out as he headed towards the animal to check it out and see how long it was going to take in order to bring it in closer to the cabin.

She was able to help him drag it. She was excited with her heart racing. She had never seen this type of deer taken down. She was very much interested in how he cooks it over the fireplace.

Looking up she saw that it was starting to get dark. "Are you hungry Loreile? I can take out some of the flounder from the freezer," he said with a hint of a smile on his face as if he was going to be relaxing.

"Sure Jethro, I love to fish, especially catfish. It's too bad there is any lake around here with catfish?" she asked with a curious notion.

"There is a lake not too far from the cabin that does stock catfish. I have caught my share of catfish and their famous whiskers." he joked.

"The last time I had gone fishing was four years ago when I was able to take a few days off from the safe house. I had gone myself to a river that was some twenty miles away from the Evergreen safe house. I was able to catch a number of catfish for which was very tasty by my standards."

"I was with my friends Phil and Tobias at the cabin a year ago. Otherwise, I have been back there one more time case related to catch a killer." he hissed mostly. "We can always go skinny dipping as well in that lake. Even though the water just might be slightly chilly."

"Sounds great! Unless it's going to be in the dark. We will need to bring the lanterns with us tonight?" she said with a smirk.

"Differently!" he said.

Sometime later Gibbs had been cooking the fish from the freezer along with potatoes and bread to go with the meal. She had gone outside to use the outhouse once again with this time taking along with the lantern. There were a number of little creatures roaming around. She was just glad that none of them were inside the outhouse.

Coming out she had noticed that the moon was beginning to come out from the clouds making it a beautiful evening with the crisp fresh air.

She was beginning to relax finally and no longer angry at one Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Who could stay mad at that sexy silver fox cooking her dinner inside the cabin?

He had changed into his grey sweat pants with his grey robe covering his chest. She wanted to have sex with the man now while he was cooking. But she will have to wait until after dinner. Smelling that fish cooking was making her so hungry among other things as well.

"Tell me Jethro how long did it take you to build the cabin?" she asked sitting down at her laptop running. She didn't know whether she will be able to connect to the Internet.

"Five years whenever I had the time to come up here to work. Even my team didn't know until eight years prior. Only one ever loved the place with having to be Ziva otherwise everyone else hates being out into the wilderness. For me, I have always found it great to relax."

"It's the same for me, Jethro. Getting away from the city is the best when I had the chance in order to clear my mind and body. I can understand as to why you love this place?" she said with her computer clicked on and with getting a connection to the Internet.

"You're very lucky to get a connection out here Loreile?" he flipped two of the fish in the frying pan.

"That's for sure!" she went to work surfing the Internet checking on the sites that she visits all of the time for when it comes to her fanfiction.

While Gibbs continued to work with the dinner getting it together.

Director Leon Vance wasn't too pleased with his supervisory team leader Leroy Jethro Gibbs has left for California to try and bring back Lt. Loreile Ann Baskins.

His friend was looking for further trouble with having lost Sloane and now going after a woman he had thought that she had feelings for him. She was not looking to hurt him once she had made the decision to head for California instead of staying with him at the hospital.

He was looking at the papers in front of him on whether or not to suspend him for now. Since he needs the break for god sake. He's been in a dark void for a while now ever since he had shot McGee in the shoulder and leg during the operation and to save Bishop's life as well.

He signed them for them until Gibbs comes back to the Naval Yards. He's not going to like it at all. Even though he doesn't need the money.

Getting up from his desk to get ready to go home. His secretary Melissa was still in the outer office for which she will send to SECNAV for processing until later.

Placing on his black jacket and coat along with his brown attache case with other files to read.
